This gang looks so fearsome that even The Supreme Leader of The Thick-Skinned Gang said it's scary.
I didn't say that:
It sounds scary Undecided
I'm not afraid of The Spaghetti Gang Tongue

F

thank you for your sacrifice

20k-35k for 10 years in a row is certainly one possibility.

thanks for killing my buzz man
465  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 25, 2023, 10:28:41 PM

Back in the day I believe people's ignore button would glow different colours depending on how many people had ignored you but that was removed.

That could save time in identifying shitposters instead of wasting time reading their posts, but it can also be abused. So maybe it's for the best we don't have that feature anymore.

oh man i loved that glowing ignore button. it glowed brighter yellow or something the more peeps ignored the account iirc.

saw some plenty brights ones back in the day lol.

bring it back bring it back

consider making similar arrangements and then have the legal mechanism in place to resume ownership (of at least part of the funds) if some re-animation would be possible in the future.

What if they re-animate you as a head in a jar? Do you get to spend your bitcoins on fancy fish food, or a fancy jar that doesn't double up as an ice bucket for beer?

feeding my brain in a jar would be easy; just sprinkle in weed every so often.

"Boomers: still getting lost without a GPS."

I'm guessing what is meant is boomers don't know how to use a GPS. Because gen Z would be the ones getting lost without a device giving them directions, boomers know how to read maps and signs.

scratched my head on that one too. as i still have paper maps in my vehicles. i do use gps though, hard not too sometimes as its built into many cars nowadays..

mine is set to tell me when im speeding over a certain amount heh.  wonder what else it checks.. cars gonna drop a dime on me yet lol

zooming in and out is very helpful for day trading.  i am not worried about my 17.2 short because if i zoom out a little we can see that bitcoin's current trend is sideways, zoom out again and the trend is down, zoomed in it looks like my trade was bad i sold and price is keeps going UP! but the zoomed out version shows it will eventually complete successfully.

and that's how its done buddy. easy money  Cool

dude. easy money is when you make it in your sleep. thats how investments work.

Those people can't be helped. They are broke and have no wealth for a reason.

I buy 3-4 year old used or refurbed Android unlocked phones for a small fraction of their new price.

My SO and I are both still on the Pixel 2. Yeah the Pixel 2, from like 2015 or so? That I bought refurbed for $250/ a phone at the time. Batteries still rock solid, cameras work great, and give all the speed and functionality we could ever need.

Will only upgrade when these phones die.

what about security updates? they are still getting them? thats my worry about 3-4 yo used phones.

i typically keep mine till the security updates stop, which seems to average 3 or 4 years. after that i might repurpose it for something else.

i also destroy old phones, aint gonna turn in i dont trust nuthin.

474  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: January 09, 2023, 06:57:25 PM

One thing that I learned in my short time on this here flat earths about any kind of a future that involves human behavior, it cannot be completely summarized by/through the maths

well @proudhon should stop by and set us straight on proper maths for this merit thing and such.. something like "LoyceV will not fall below 3rd place more than once during the next 6 months"

yeah much simpler

didnt SBF (of FTX fame) cash out like 600+ million USD of some crypto on non KYDd exchanges a just few weeks ago? so it seems possible.

Fair enough, There some exchange that still doesn’t required KYC and allow 2BTC deposit and withdrawal per day. Also there are some DEX that let user buy and sell bitcoin for fiat P2P like Bisq. I believe a 200BTC can be easily cash out nowadays due to the P2P offered by DEX.

it was 600 thousand usd not 600 million usd, i made a mistake (and deleted my message but you quoted it before that lol), but yeah non KYC exchanges do seem to abound.

Community celebrates Bitcoin Genesis Day by sending BTC to the genesis block
The wallet address now contains around 68.56 BTC, which is worth around $1.1 million at the time of writing.

Hopefully adding Bitcoin with somethink new...

Well from my understanding sending BTC to the Genesis block is like burning your BTC - accordingly, by design, coins in the genesis block can never be spent.

The bitcoin genesis block is the ONLY block that had been created in such a "never can be spent" way.

only the original 50 btc coinbase reward cant be spent from genesis. coins sent later can be spent from the genesis block.

I checked that Earn product, but as soon as I saw that they are actually lending to a third party (Genesis), any thoughts of participating quickly disappeared.
Could there be any contagion to bitcoin? maybe, but, hopefully, limited.
GBTC might be affected, though, darn it! I have a small bit in ret accounts.

i had stuff in gemini earn for a bit but when luna/terra went down i pulled it out. fun while it lasted i guess. but i also knew the full risks and understood genesis was a separate entity vs gemini exchange as i actually read the terms lol. i knew it could disappear at any moment, i did the mtgox thing already thankyouverymuch.

who of you hat wearers would be interested in an individual ColdKey hat edition? Grin
some info & another releases from ColdKey could be found here:
[ANN] History Coldkey - A testimony to Bitcoin - Time for change has come !
[ANN / WTS] Bas Coldkey -- Reeeee: Collectible Cards of Bitcointalk Users.

i would first like to know/see only with it how big the resonance would be Wink

I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I like the sound of it (and some heavy endorser like xhomerx10's adds more intrigue)/

sounds good to me.

Same here I don’t have idea about this ColdKey but sounds good… I’m not that old in this hat gang but would love to participate.

wait something is happening? well i need to FOMO in too, lest i miss some new thingamajig. not that i actually understand whats going on but thats never kept me from having a good time before.

and HAPPY NEW YEAR WO. heres to new lows, new highs, faster more efficient ways to lose money for the unwary, more peeps doing it right and jumping on the hodl train - its a good ride. and people finally figuring out that this bitcoin thing works best when you directly hold the keys to your coins.
