461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had known on: January 20, 2023, 01:35:11 AM
I was introduced to Bitcoin talk org six years ago but I never took it serious because I feel digital money is not real. My non willingness to learn, has cost me a life changing opportunity but now, I know better😀.
-snip-
At least you know about it now and as long as you learn from your mistake, everything is good. It's never too late. If you have some money lying around, invest in bitcoin and keep holding. If you don't, six years later, when you look at the price, you are going to make the same post and start regretting once again. Not a financial advice though. Do your own research. After six years, the price might skyrocket, might be the same or might go down much more than it is now.

Bitcoin is a life changer.
Not really...
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 20, 2023, 01:25:01 AM
There is this thing about shopping and airlines that when you check and forget, they send you bonus or discount for your possible shopping/trip. Same holds true for casinos, if you just register and leave they will send you some bonus to get you started playing.
I doubt any casinos would do that without any terms and conditions applied. Those "shopping" and "airlines" gives you discounts and vouchers, but you will have to make a minimum purchase to be eligible for those offers. At least most of them works like this. Casinos will also give you some conditions such as making a certain amount of deposit before being able to claim the bonus, and if you want to withdraw the bonus, you will have to meet a certain rollover requirements. They won't give away anything for free. If they did, people would be creating multiple account, leave it and wait for the bonuses to arrive. They would abuse the system!
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 18, 2023, 11:15:02 PM
Greetings, esteemed community. Could you help me advise? I've seen a lot of topics on the forum about crypto or bitcoin casinos, but I need clarification on their point. As I understand the crypto casino involves paying in different cryptocurrencies, and the bitcoin casino involves only bitcoins. How to choose a casino, is there a criterion for this, or do you just go to any casino and play? It's a rash move without preparation. Also interested in a payment system, which is recommended to play in such casinos? Or just a suitable crypto wallet? I apologize for my silly questions, but I want to understand everything once and for all.
Go to the gambling board. Look at the list of casinos. Choose one that has been around for a very long time and has very good reputation. If you want to try some new casinos, make sure you choose a licensed casino, not some randomly newly popped up casino. Look for casinos that has good support system and strong security. You almost might want to play on casinos that will allow you to make fast deposit and almost instant withdrawals. If you haven't, you can try CryptoGames.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 18, 2023, 03:01:06 AM
I am sure most of the people that has been in the market for ages has been holding and taking advantage of the events that has occurred last year. Anyone that has been investing during the massive dips has already made some nice profit within few weeks of this year. I have been still holding my coins and have no plans yet to sell any of the  coins. Just letting you know, it is okay to sell your coins. You don't have to keep holding it. If you are in profit, and you don't want to risk further, take your profit or at least half of it, so when the price crashes, you don't regret anything.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My soccer betting experiment in almost a week. on: January 18, 2023, 02:49:53 AM
I am mostly a slot lover but lately the heavy losses I have been getting there from absolutely all the providers got me such a sorrow that I decided to quit slots for some days and try sport betting,I choose most likely two kind of bets, nr 1 both teams to score and nr 2 draw no bet and I think the results have impressed me,I have been having much more wins that lost games, was this just plain luck or I know a thing or two about football also and not only about slot machines. Some images of such bets I placed low amounts in Litecoin during such days.

-snip-

Should I continue here where my balance only grows or get back to slot machines? One thing is sure, these winnings here has grayed out a lot my love for slots.
Why not continue gambling on both (I mean if you want to continue gambling. Or else take your profit and leave before you make huge losses. Always remember, in the long run, the casino is the winner, not you!) slots and sports betting? Those are two different kind of gambling experience. Sports betting requires patience as it is a long term thing like having to do analysis and stuffs, and you have to always wait for the results. On other hand, slots are instant - you win or you lose.
466  Other / Archival / Re: Mass adoption: Naming my child bitcoin on: January 18, 2023, 01:59:19 AM
Yeah, no don't name your kid Bitcoin if you don't want him to get bullied. I bet he is also going to regret and dislike him name. Imagine the price of bitcoin crashing and everyone is upset "at" bitcoin lol. Naming your kid won't make a "mass adoption". It will only create problems in your kids life. Think about his personal, college and professional life before naming him. Choose a name that has positive implication and is going to be well received by most people.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: January 14, 2023, 02:19:14 PM
Surprised to see some users saying freebitco is their go to casino. I mean, are they serious or they are just randomly mentioning some casinos? Have you had a look at the house edge of the dice? Or house edge is something that you guys don't care at all? Play at some other casino that has lower house edge. You would be surprised how much more you would be winning.

Go to casinos should be casinos that offer instant registration, that allows you to play only after one or two deposit network confirmation, instant withdrawal and has easy to play games. You should try Crypto.Games if you haven't.
468  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 14, 2023, 02:02:01 PM
Why wouldn't it? Side gigs are extra money that you can save or invest for the future. Of course it will improve your financial stability in the long run. As long as it isn't affecting your primary job or isn't depriving you of anything in your life, I see no reason why someone wouldn't prefer doing a side gig. Each and every penny you save for the future will one day be worth it. Might not look like much now, but you will appreciate later. But don't forget to consider the time and effort you will be giving for those side gigs. Not worth it if you are going to spend hours for few bucks.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: January 14, 2023, 01:41:24 PM
Doesn't matter if the pay or not, those are shitcoins anyway. Why waste your time collecting those coins instead of focusing on something more productive? The amount of energy and time you waste could have been used to make more money than the peanuts that you would have received. Do you really expect some random tokens that has been given for free to everyone is going to change your life? Stop promoting and helping those scammers. Invest and support real well known projects!
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you really think about trading bots? on: January 14, 2023, 01:02:55 PM
Any trading bots that promise you that you will make profit are actually fake and most likely trying to scam/lure you. Don't "buy" those trading bots. You don't even know what those bots are capable of. They can end up swiping your whole computer!

There are legit trading bots, but don't expect those bots to do everything for you. They will follow the strategy you provide them with, but you will have to supervise and keep on updating the bots. The only thing bots help you do is automate the trade for you which you only need to update every few minutes to hours instead of constantly looking at the screen.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair games are not fair on: January 14, 2023, 12:05:21 PM

I experimented many times ,
Changing client seed will reset everything ,

and

Let , I am playing keno , you can experiment this,
ok , so game is provably fair ,
I selected 10 keno number and I faced a long losing streak of 20 then It will always hit when by bet is initial amount or less than initial when i started playing keno
After long losing streak of 20 When i incresed the bet by only a few percent I will continue losing streak
I don't know this assumptiom is right or not
But i experimented 6 months
If you don't believe you can experiment i guarantee you will also face this type of fairness

Here is your problem.. You don't understand how provably fair games work. You think that if you place small bets, you win, but if you place large bets, you lose. That is true for casinos that have fake provably fair games and casinos that rig your bets. Play in a legit casino and you will be fine. Also just because you lost 20x in a row doesn't mean you will win in the next bet. I bet you don't complain after you win 100x in just two bets, do you? You are suffering from gamblers fallacy.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 14, 2023, 06:15:16 AM
everyone definitely wants to be successful in investing, especially in bitcoin. and of course it is not easy to achieve success in investing, even though it sounds easy to invest in bitcoin, for example as follows:

: buy at a low price sell at a high price.

: must hold strong, and do not sell it when the price drops.

but in reality there are so many people who sell when the price drops, even though they have to take the risk of loss.

I, who don't have much experience in bitcoin, want to ask what is the key to your successful investment in bitcoin?
and I want to ask if you have ever experienced investment losses in bitcoin?

I hope my post is useful for me and all in this forum.
Yeah, it is not easy but it is going to be easy if you follow the golden rule - Invest what you can afford to lose. If you invest money that you don't need, there is no need for you to sell your coins anytime soon. If the price drops, you still keep on holding. If you follow the rule, you also don't have to worry about when to invest. It won't matter to you if the price if high or low. You can invest any moment you want. Those who sell when the price drops are the one that are risking money that they actually need.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction touched forum users in a very sad way... on: January 14, 2023, 04:33:27 AM
This is why a gambling addicted should never be trusted with anything related to finance (business, money and things similar). They need help before they can be trusted. No matter how much they will claim they are fine and can be trusted, their words can't be taken for easily. They will eventually screw you up. I have heard stories about how business managers were stealing money to fund their gambling addictions, how employees were stealing, how children were stealing from their elderly parents and so on.

Just curious, how did he steal those money? He sold those collectibles, so that means he has access to the funds. So people were just blindly trusting that guy not steal their money or something?
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you feel about market recovery on: January 14, 2023, 03:10:45 AM
Hello dearies!

Something came into my mind and I decided to asked here to see the mind of everyone here towards the market.
Few days ago, there have been a sudden change about the entire crypto market which gradually drive bitcoin from $16k to $19k plus, could it be that the bull has started this early year without getting into the bitcoin halving or could it be there is a positive news concerning there entire cryptos?
There are lot of post I have been reading all this while the majority of them were pointing out to be after bitcoin halving.

Just one last more,  how do you feels with the market? Do you feels you have been left out or possibly you wanna make a turn to buy now since it hasn't touched $20k yet?

Please don't find my post as annoying because I m also learning which I strongly believe I will know more better as time comes.

You can table out your opinion.
Few days ago? It just happened within a day and the price almost crossed $21,000. The bull market doesn't always happen during the halving. Its a volatile market and anything can happen to the price any moment. We can see the price go back above $30,000 or maybe it might fall back and a quick correction might take place. This is a market that no one can predict. Look at the new few weeks ago. Those "experts" and "analysts" were expecting the price to dip further down to $10,000. And now we will say them say a different thing.
I don't "feel" anything. It's been like this for years. Nothing new for me. I just haven't sold anything during the bear market.

Not a single asset goes up/down in a straigth line. Bitcoin pumped to 69k from 3k. Dumped from 69k to 16k. The 16k-20k recovery is nothing spectacullar that needs strong positive news to happend. Its just an everyday price action. It only looks like a big move because bitcoin was in ATL in terms of volatility last 2 months.

BTC is in bear market for 400 days. 600 days if we skip fake new ATH in Now 2021. Fear greed index show extreme fear for last whole year if we skip few days of fear and neutral. This bounce is nothing strange.

What's a fake All Time High?
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ethereum safe? on: January 13, 2023, 10:10:47 PM
I don't have experience in altcoins, but I have quite an interest in investing in altcoins, but when I hear the news that investing in altcoins is very dangerous because the potential for losses is so big, but I found out on the internet, it turns out that we can invest in altcoins as long as the in quality altcoins,
and finally I saw on cmc that the number 1 altcoin is ethereum, and finally I'm quite interested if I have the capital to want to invest in ethereum.
and I saw the news that it turned out that a lot of people were investing in ethereum because the ethereum project is very good and has a lot of fans. and I want to ask everyone?

: does ethereum have a good future?

: is it not wrong if I choose to invest in ethereum?

: what is the drawback of ethereum?

: why is ethereum the no. 1 ALTCOIN?

1. It's actually the best altcoin to invest in. Bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies. Ethereum is the king of all altcoin currencies.

2. Why would it be wrong? It is the most safest bet you can make. Other altcoins are more riskier than Ethereum.

3. There are some drawbacks that are supposed to be fixed when ETH 2.0 is completely launched.  Should fix scalability issues and other stuffs.

4. Because it was (one of) the first to implement smart contracts and has more projects and active developers compared to other altcoins with same features.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 13, 2023, 04:01:01 AM
I have 2 motorbikes at home, but what I always use is only 1 motorbike, and 1 motorbike is rarely used, and indeed the motorbike is also old, and if it is sold it won't be too expensive, and I decided to sell the motorbike, because in my opinion the price of the motorbike will definitely fall over time,
(affected by inflation). and the money from the sale of the motorbike I will use to buy bitcoin. because in my opinion the price of bitcoin in the future will definitely rise. and also currently the market is bear, so this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins. and I want to ask everyone, the decision I made, namely selling the motorbike and the money to buy bitcoin, is it wrong or not?

I'm ready to be corrected because I have no experience in bitcoin and crypto.
If you only use one and you don't need the other, then yes, it's not a bad idea to sell your moto for bitcoin. Holding your moto will only cause the price of the moto to fall, but holding bitcoin in the long run will give you some nice profit and you can buy a better moto bike later. As long as you don't need the money, invest it in bitcoin. Or to be in the safe side, invest half of it in bitcoin and keep the rest in fiat cash.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It good For The Casinos And The Accusers If .. on: January 13, 2023, 03:53:10 AM
Is It Good For The Casinos And The Accusers If the casino operators decided to post a disclaimer that they will not answer accusations here in Bitcointalk but prefer to address them on other platforms that they think are fair and moderated like Askgambler and other platforms?
What's your take on this I don't want to be specific but the question applies to all casino operators.
Makes sense to be honest. I mean, if they think it is better for them to be active on some other well known platform that actually helps communicate between users and the casino operators (like askgambler), then why not? They probably think it is better to focus on other platforms than to focus on this forum. You do know that there are tons of other casinos, but has no announcement here?

Doesn't make sense though for casino operators not to answer the accusers here in this community specially if it is crypto based.
-snip-
Of course if both parties are not satisfied here then they can always go to askgamblers for mediation.
Have a look at those scam accusation threads. You will find 90% of spammers talking bs and not helping at all. And then there are those bs accusers that makes false accusation because they lost in the casino. I doubt that person would want to go to askgamblers to solve their problem. The user will keep on creating a nuisance over here.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: January 13, 2023, 02:57:35 AM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.
You do know how stable coins work, right? If you want to wait for the price of BNB to fall before you reinvest, then yes, you can sell it for a stable coin, wait for the crash and then reinvest. Other than that, there is no other reason to hold a stable coin.

Did you ask your friend why he thinks that BNB doesn't have a future? Did you do your own research? Remember, these are your coins, your money. You make the decisions. Not your friends.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can players bet on their own games on: January 12, 2023, 04:35:09 AM
I’m curious to know if there’s any players (fighters, footballers….) who have been caught betting on themselves or on their own team to lose or win, i know it’s not allowed for any player as a part of their contract for example Ufc fighters are strictly forbidden from betting on their own fights. And the reason is pretty obvious since the player can easily manipulate the final score of whatever he is playing or fighting.
But surely in small or unknown leagues there must be some people doing it. For example a goalkeeper of small devision league in Africa where some bookmakers cover betting on the match can create an account on it, if they ask for KYC verification can easily ask his friend or family member to do it for him. And can earn much money by letting his team lose. Fighters can manipulate that even more.
So i would like to know if you heard of any player been caught doing that? and if my example is right?

That is against rule, but I still think there are players that places bets or uses a third party person to place bets on their behalf. I am talking about those not so famous players and players from small clubs that doesn't play on international games. But yeah, it is illegal for them to place bets and if caught, will be penalized and/or permanently banned from playing any games. Imagine players placing bets on their own games and losing on purpose to win the bets they placed...
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 12, 2023, 04:29:49 AM
Lesson learned I guess. An expensive one though which could have been avoided. I mean, how many times have you heard people screaming to do your own research before investing? If you googled a little, I bet you could have saved yourself from the scam. It is not the first time a scam like this has been pulled. Isn't it obvious that a random project that steals logo and name is going to scam you? There are many projects that scams people using current trends as a disguise. Look at what happened to squidgame token when the TV show was trending.
