461  Economy / Economics / Re: The Higher the capital the higher the returns on: July 14, 2024, 04:58:56 PM
That's basic economics and the rich know this is a number game for them. And if you've been a follower of those sums games, capital venture shows, or just someone who likes to follow economic trends from the banks and financial institutions. You'd see how important the percentage is to them. A growth rate of 1%-2% is looking tiny for someone who only looks at that number as a small amount but with the capital and money involved with that growth from any industry that has billions to trillions in valuation, that means a lot and more than our life savings to them as projected profit or actual gross.

I think that rich people pay attention to absolute numbers as well, as to the percentage. And sometimes they are more interested in getting the percentage because it is attractive and quite large. But sometimes they really agree to a low percentage, about 1-3, but with their initial investment the return is quite high. It all depends on their risk management strategy.
I agree, they are great at measuring the risk that they're taking and whether the numbers are high or low as long as they get decent returns. That's what all matters to them. There are conservative investors that even the return would definitely be too low for them, it won't matter as long as they're safe and low risk. We won't go and say about guaranteed profits but it's safer to say that there's lesser and low risk that they'll choose and that's how many of them assess risks that they're taking.

463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The city of ssnta Monica is opening a bitcoin office on: July 13, 2024, 02:32:25 PM
So, it's Santa Monica which is located in California, in the US. Well, any place that's going to do so is definitely going to do it for the attraction and as well as education. I do wish them to have a good progress with this. I guess instead of calling it as a bitcoin office, they should call it as a Bitcoin center.

I think that it is not proper for the city of Santa Monica, to name the place where people can be informed about Bitcoin, a Bitcoin office. It sounds like a Bitcoin centralized office, the name can be misleading for some people to think that Bitcoin now has a physical offices, it should have been called a Bitcoin center.

Since the city generates it's income from tourism, I think that it is a step in the right direction for them to have the Bitcoin office or center to educate people about Bitcoin and how it can promote tourism in their city. Other cities should emulate them and have these Bitcoin centers to educate people and increase it's adoption.
Well, to each their own. If they think that's what it should be named, we can't do anything about that. We're not from there but that's just our thought that it shouldn't be a Bitcoin office. But anyway, however, it is called won't matter but what matters most is about the usage of that facility. If there will be more people that will be informed of its purpose then let's see the impact and results of it. Anyway, you just said what I have said and repeated about what it should be called.  Tongue
464  Economy / Economics / Re: Are business partners worth it. on: July 13, 2024, 11:24:22 AM
It's worth it when you're the dumbest of them all. Not literally dumb that I mean but your partner is smarter than you and you've got more to learn from him. Typically, the smarter and richer partners are there to support their partners at all costs but don't fool them around because they know what they're doing. My tip is not to partner with any secondary family of yours. Whilst the immediate family, you can still control them and show your emotions to them but it's harder to do it with the former.

::/::
Well, I know that nothing problematic is happening to you. I just want to give you a tip that most of the free VPNs are risky. As your data won't be assured with them and you can search through google the other risk that it may bring to its users.

Free VPNs sometime cause problem for gamblers as they’ll have a higher chance of giving you the same IP address as someone who cheated the system or they might not even cheat but you might still get into trouble (because the system might confuse you to having multi accounts) - they have Ben cases like this -
That's possible and that's why if they're using free VPN, that's one of the risks that they are bearing. That's why if they are into VPNs, it is better to use the one that's paid even just for a month of subscription because later on, they'll like the usage of it until they avail those discounted plans.

so it’s best you just use the mirror link or if you want to make use of a vpn use the premium version to avoid situation like that.
100% and that's the main purpose of it.
466  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the overall market sentiment and how can I keep track of this? on: July 13, 2024, 05:50:31 AM
Every indicator can be as useful as they can be at times like this when unexpected motion of BTC happens. Aside from the greed and fear index, there goes the fundamentals and news that we're having. They can be a good indicator if you're very active in the market and you like to react every time there is some bad/good news that is being reported. But remember that always you should be proactive and you should "buy the rumors and sell the news". And, if you don't want to regret what you'll decide to, just HODL and stay calm.

It is always best to keep yourself updated as you can get an idea where the market is heading to. We have so many indicators in this market, and yet, the actual scenario may not follow any of these indicators. It can be influenced by big companies announcing their sell-off or buy-in. And yes, it is always good to be aware of the rumors, because it can really help you in taking advantage of the market.
Updated in everything that's happening to the market. Whether you'd be good with the charts of not, whatever is happening to the market you can have the advantage of how you'd react. But basically, for the long-term investors, there's no need to be proactive at all with what's happening. We just wait and sit and sell when the price is up. However for someone to learn, there are basic steps that we've mentioned that needs to be done but most of them are effortless.
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the overall market sentiment and how can I keep track of this? on: July 12, 2024, 08:54:45 PM
I have been observing the market trend recently and have seen that the patters are not so consistent with what I expected although it has been ranging, but I will like to know when I can easily spot when the market will change direction, is there any indicator I can combine to make a thoughtful decision that I will not regret?

If you have your customised indicator settings you could as well share for the sake of learning.

That very correct because I have experience this a number of time I try to access BC.GAME site if I use my browser that have an inbuilt vpn, I fine it hard some time to access the site but anytime I use VPN free browser like crime, I make easy access to the casino.
Well, I know that nothing problematic is happening to you. I just want to give you a tip that most of the free VPNs are risky. As your data won't be assured with them and you can search through google the other risk that it may bring to its users.

This shows that the problem with loading the site most times is as a result of our connections and associated vpn heavy loading requirements that make some site hard to access.
That's right, they're slowing down the connection. And that's why there are mirror links for those that are relying to free VPNs or even with the paid ones, they're there for our comfort of accessing bc.game + its mirror links.  Wink
469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I choose stock over crypto? on: July 12, 2024, 05:08:55 PM
You really know what we will answer but at the end, you've mentioned that you don't want to divide into both. Well, if you can change your mind, that's what I am going to say to you. Why not just choose both of them? Buy Bitcoin and hold and then buy the stock that you want to hold since you want to have a stable return through it. But I tell you, not all stocks are going to be stable, they're also as volatile as the crypto market but not that volatile at all. Learn about what you truly prefer because you have posted and asked on the Bitcoin forum and you know that all if not majority of us here are into crypto.

I quite agree with you and say that OP should think towards diversification, and that’s investing into bitcoin and other digital assets too or physical assets. But if OP is bent on taking just one then my answer is to go for bitcoin. Bitcoin is not complicated as stock which you might have to find the right one to invest. There are stocks that can easily go down to dust, something that I don’t see happening with bitcoin at the moment. When we talk of bitcoin people easily associate it with its volatility, bitcoin has shown in the past two years now that it is getting less volatile which is the only advantage that stock had ahead of bitcoin. But for safety reasons I will say diversification into both is better
I agree and that's a good comparison. The only difference between Bitcoin from the stocks that he may be interested in is that there are no central powers to Bitcoin and there won't be the owners having a larger share. He may logically think of it as with the whales that own a lot of Bitcoin but it's still different from a CEO that owns a lot of stocks and dumps it all at once and the scare is there from most of the followers of that stock. Unlike in Bitcoin, if there is a huge institution that dumps a lot of Bitcoin to the market, there are sure a lot of takers and are likely to buy those cheap Bitcoins.

hello Everyone, am definitely bother by some  certain questions. therefore I just want to air it out to this forum since I have some crypto professional and expert here that can help me tackle it.
I'm a newbie and I have this passion to develop myself professionally in the system and to acquire a reasonable crypto and stock per say that I can hold on to.
After a simple research, I discover that stock can generally offer more stable returns compare to crypto. thou crypto offer higher gain.
Do I need to choose stock over crypto?
I don't want my attention to be divided.

471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nevereding drama? MtGox and German Gov, after that Individual x and Bitfinex? on: July 12, 2024, 01:53:57 PM
Is there no ending to this?
You need to be used to these dramas. There will be no ending to this when you're not expecting one drama to come. Soon, there will be one to come. For every season of the market, bears or bulls, there will always something like this to come out.

By the time they finally dump everything they will seize back again some 100 00 coins, just how much is there left that they can grab?
Is there any other major hack they can still recovers coins from? Mixers or darknet markets they've got their hands on?
It depends if these hacks are traced or not. But based on the history, there can always be these "seized" Bitcoins and from there, it's expected to be dumped in the market because the ones who seizes it will auction it.

I might be overreacting but this is like they are fucking printing coins and dumping them on us!
They're printing money and they're just rinsing and repeating the process. That's why we need to get used to it and just ride it all along, there will be some time that these dramas will be temporarily gone but then, fiascos are nonstop.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Nigeria a blessing to Africa? on: July 11, 2024, 11:37:03 PM
You posted the same thread on Politics and Society: Is Nigeria a blessing to Africa?
And you have made this one on the Economics. You have to lock this thread and proceed with the discussion to the one that's on the P&S.
Unless you translate this thread into your local, you can duplicate the thread but if it's the same topic that are on both English board, you need to lock the other.

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting topics in the local language boards if they're translated and re-posting marketplace topics in the altcoin boards if altcoins are accepted).
473  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bestcryptodeposit.com is Likely a Scam - Beware! on: July 11, 2024, 10:28:02 PM
When will the scammers who launch these websites stop their foolishness?
They'll continue and will never stop and that's a cycle as long as there are newbies and gullible people who will buy those plans that they're showing, they'll continue to fool people. And they will only recycle websites like this after being busted. It's just sad that no one is arrested for making these Ponzi websites, I hope that someday there will be stricter terms for making these websites and the contents that they have. Well, the name of the domain itself is already sketchy and trying to convince someone who's looking for these high yield investment programs aka scam schemes.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why can Altcoins fail? on: July 11, 2024, 09:15:15 PM
Conclusion

We should sell such outdated coins like Tron because such coins will become more and more obsolete over time.
You're actually right on this one. Many altcoins have been outdated but yet they're still part of the top ranks. It will only be a matter of time until most of them get eliminated there and become a forgotten coin. To me, it's not about being updated or outdated on this market with their blockchain or what does the developer does. What matters to why they're retaining their position is because there's a strong sense of support that's coming from their community. That's why if it were not for the community, many of these altcoins have been dead long time ago already. But then, they're still alive and kicking and so they're staying to their current positions but just like in the past, many of them have became once a popular coin but now forgotten.
475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You should have a post-bull run plan. on: July 11, 2024, 01:47:11 PM
Every bull run is unique and IMHO, the current one is always the best. So, it makes sense if this isn't going to be the best compared to the future and upcoming ones but if we'd talk about the current one, we'd see how it will be the best.

However, my message is that as you are making a profit from the market this period don't forget that Bitcoin has better days ahead. So ensure that you have plans for the next four years.
I agree, those who don't have a plan to exit this upcoming bull run will need to plan for the next 4 years. And that is because I've talked to some people that are not relative to me nor friends but they've said that this might be their last bull run and instead of planning their future, they're planning their exits.

I fall in the second category and I have plans to replenish my wallet as soon as possible if the price is good. For me I am not only going to depend on DCA, lump sum will also be considered.
Both strategies are good, it's that DCA is the most common. But everyone needs to do what they're comfortable with and sometimes, lumpsum is very convenient when you don't want to invest your money to something else but Bitcoin.

Santa Monica is emulating the footsteps of El Salvador, because El Salvador has opened a bitcoin office and much engaged to significant investment and tourism related to bitcoin.
They are not emulating El Salvador. Every place or country is free to do it but let's just take it positively. Any place that does the same should be supported and we must be happy about it.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Like Best About Bitcoin And Which Coin is Second Best? on: July 11, 2024, 08:49:21 AM
Being able to receive payments without the bank or anyone else knowing about it is what excites me about Bitcoin and crypto in general. Although it is sometimes discouraging when the tx fee is too high for Bitcoin, I don't really worry much because other cryptocurrencies, such as USDT and LTC, have stepped in to help me make or receive payments in such situations.

I know nearly everyone here places Bitcoin head and shoulders above all other coins. For me, the crypto I loved best was Monero due to its privacy features. Unfortunately, it seems to be the digital asset that every government hates. To me, it is the next best after Bitcoin BTC.
The government doesn't like two things from cryptos;

1. Decentralization.
2. Privacy.

And that's why they're taking down mostly the first and foremost that has it all which is Monero. As for Bitcoin, it's pseudonymous and it's the firstborn for which most institutions have already invested in and they can't go oppositely on it.

What do you like best about BTC and other coins? Which has been your favorite and second-best?
Everything but except the fees, I guess all of us are sharing the same thing that we dislike about it when the fees fluctuates a lot.
478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't fall for such easy scams on: July 10, 2024, 05:39:06 PM
Did you search it through a search engine like Google? Well, as everybody has said it's a scam tactic that many might fall for if they're new to this. Those that are greedy think that they'd receive such amounts for the welcoming gift that they'd receive upon signing up. This is very simple, always apply the quote "if it's too good to be true, it's not true". Because many still fall for that scam despite that many have been giving a warning that they should forget about that as that's certainly a scam attempt.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there least effect of whale manipulation on bitcoin among all crypto coins ? on: July 10, 2024, 03:27:21 PM
Bitcoin is popular among huge population all over the world while the demand  for altcoins is limited. Does this mean there is least effect of whale manipulation on bitcoin among all crypto coins ?
Maybe, sort of.
But you know what when the price of Bitcoin goes that much, we're all saying that there's no manipulation and the increase is due to good news. And when the market is going down hill, we're all looking to blame for something and one of it is about the manipulation that comes from the whales. I'm not sure about the least effect of it, but it seems to be transferable from one coin to another and goes back to Bitcoin.
480  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Twilio's Authy 2FA app has been breached. on: July 10, 2024, 02:03:33 AM
my favourite one is Google authentication you lose your phone and everything gone I don't knew it was hacked  thank you for letting me knew I used couple of authenation there , what I love about authy is that it provide linking it with Google but these news of sensitive information leaked I still can't believe it
You should read the reviews of other members from this thread about Google Authenticator. While it's a good feature of Authy and probably other 2FA apps that it can link to Google Authenticator, we have to be careful at most times as these breaches aren't simple things to ignore.

but do I need to change the key and password I am wondering what can I do more ??
Based on this update: https://www.twilio.com/en-us/changelog/Security_Alert_Authy_App_Android_iOS
You have to update to the latest software updates, iOs and android.
