461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to start betting on sports? on: November 08, 2023, 12:11:34 PM
I not sure Al can give good predictions in sports betting and relying too much on Al is also not recommended because it can't give us more experience in predicting matches.
Maybe Al can help make it easier to have more information, but in making predictions you don't only need information.

I'm sure AI won't be able to help us win in sports betting. It's a prediction game, and statistics alone as a basis are not enough to win. There are plenty of factors to consider, and even the analysis of an AI may be wrong if it only gets information that is not updated. So, let's stop hoping it will help us win one day. All it can do is provide statistics; the crucial part, which is to analyze that information, should be done by sports handicappers, that's us.

It's unrealistic to believe that AI could help us win in gambling. AI could provides us information from the internet, but sports betting is gambling, and gambling is about prediction. This information is useless if we solely rely on it. Just because AI exists and it has made some of our tasks easier, we shouldn't think it can also make our job easier in gambling. No, that's not going to happen, even in the future.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: November 08, 2023, 11:32:31 AM
It's our government, so it's our country, and therefore the tax that will be collected will be used for the improvement of the country if the government is not corrupt. Taxes nowadays come from different activities, and since gambling isn't a necessity, we can't complain if the government imposes an unjust taxation, in our view. We have no choice but to follow it, or we'll face the consequences.
But unfortunately, there are still many people from corrupt governments who use tax money for their own interests. Taxes are actually for the development and progress of the country but in practice, they are used by corrupt officials who have created problems in the country. Yes, we can't complain because the government controls its taxes, and even though we can protest against the government, it won't have much effect if the corrupt officials are not caught and punished.
Regardless of how they'll manage it, we are still obliged to pay taxes as that is the lifeblood of a country. The crucial thing here is choosing the right leader. If we don't want a corrupt one to run our nation, we should choose wisely. In our country, vote-buying is very rampant, and that's the root cause of corruption. Hopefully, it's not happening in other countries.

The only problem it would cause is that they won't be able to collect, as gamblers would eventually stop gambling since the taxation law is discouraging.
Gamblers will not stop gambling and even though tax laws are against it, gamblers can still gamble in secret. Moreover, the internet is now very advanced, which makes it easier for gamblers to gamble online. They can gamble as usual without any problems, especially as many of them are familiar with crypto, which can hide their identity.

Yes, they could do that, but it's too risky because if they get caught, they might face jail time. It's a decision to make on how far they're willing to take the risk.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 07, 2023, 09:51:52 PM
Honestly, I'm actually quite bored of hearing the words 'I'm still young, why do I have to save, I have to enjoy life', to be honest, these words are trap sentences that always appear in the minds of young people, so I continue to emphasize that everyone should learn to invest from an early age, and don't refuse to feel the sensation. People who are used to managing their money well at a young age will definitely be successful people when they are old. Neglecting to manage finances is actually not an exact science, so it requires full patience to be able to master it and only time will tell.
It is very usual to hear those words because what is in their mind is to just enjoy themselves as they believe about YOLO.
Well, they have the right to choose what kind of life they have to be in the future and we know that those people who started building their finances earlier make a good fortune. Successful people sacrifice their happiness more often just for the sake make of making more money rather than making themselves too comfortable but yes, they end up getting more and have a very comfortable life when they are old.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: November 07, 2023, 03:28:51 PM
But the government could impose taxes on everyone, including gamblers, because the government wants to get additional income from what is in their country. But it would not be wise to apply it to everyone, even losing gamblers.

The government should think about what needs to be taxed so that it won't cause problems later.

The only problem it would cause is that they won't be able to collect, as gamblers would eventually stop gambling since the taxation law is discouraging.

EDIT: I know a little about cricket and football.
You already know a little about cricket and football. This is a good place to start. Maybe you should first pick cricket. The. Visit the good online casino that you already know, look at the games they have. Before then understand what bankroll management is, the understand things like betting odds, point spread, money line betting, over and under betting, bet size. Once you successfully grab these betting concepts you can bet on your first game with as little as $1 just to test the waters.

I think that's the very minimum size in most sports betting nowadays. It doesn't hurt a gambler's pocket, especially if they are just starting to explore sports betting. I remember when I was new to sports betting, the excitement was really high, even if I only bet a small amount of money. You know, the hunger to learn and the effort to analyze the bet can really add to the excitement. But I cannot deny as well that when I was still new, my journey wasn't good, as I had lots of losses compared to my wins, and sometimes I was undisciplined with bankroll management.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Late To Invest In Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2023, 09:35:36 PM
Whether it was too late or not, better make your own decision because until Bitcoin still exists, you gonna think that there is still an opportunity.
What we to think about is that many people are still investing in Bitcoin which means that they are also not thinking about it (late).
Remember that not all Youtubers are true to their life, some were just spreading false information. Some will talk about negative about Bitcoin and that is because they don't have any idea about it.

If you have the courage, then make it now and try just to know how true we are.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 06, 2023, 03:53:03 PM
Looks like the Cavaliers did end up beating the Warriors. I’m shocked. I still don’t understand how the Cavs who were 2-4 managed to be the favorites over the 5-1 Warriors, let alone how they ended up actually winning.  You’d think Stephen Curry was injured or something, but other than Draymond Green getting kicked in the balls it seemed like their team was all healthy.

Perhaps it was due to the height advantage of the Cavs, and this game is a classic example of how a good defensive team like the Cavs can beat a offensive team like the Warriors. Everyone of the supporting cast has a bad game, only Steph Curry was able to carry the team with 28 points, but it was not enough.

The length of the Cavs though, it really did gave the Warriors a big problem, Mobley with a huge 16 rebounds, and then Allen added 9. So there's a gap in there and Dario Saric has one of his worst games as a Warrior, he is supposed to help Moody, but he is a non factor with no points and just 5 rebounds.

They could bounce back though against Detroit in their next game.

They do have a good chance, though, especially since Detroit isn't a playoff team like the Cavaliers. If the Suns were able to win by double digits even when only Durant was the remaining star player, a healthy Warriors team should be able to perform even better. Perhaps they can secure a win by over 20 points, considering that the Pistons aren't a strong defensive team like the Cavaliers. Additionally, Curry tends to step up after a loss, and his winning mentality is quite evident. We'd love to see his Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, returning to his old form.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 06, 2023, 03:21:09 PM
Praograis @3.65 is of interest to me.

He was the defending champion, correct? It seems like a significant underestimation by the bookies, making him a heavy underdog despite holding the belt. There's no doubt that Haney is a talented fighter, but it would be more respectful to the champion to offer odds not higher than 3. Nevertheless, this is gambling, so if we trust Prograis to win, we should view it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
469  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: November 03, 2023, 06:33:18 AM
Thanks a lot.
So I am not here to promote any project, not sure what you're talking about. I'm just a random dude who's still relatively new to this.

Now I will say that when reading those Trustpilot ratings they did seem a bit odd to me, because they were a bit similar in their tone, the language they use, and in how vigorously they demanded that people stop using the platform. So it would make sense if those are bots or shills. On the other hand, some of them do provide transactions IDs upon request by the Kraken team who responds there, so it would seem that those are legit customers.

I'm just trying to gauge whether there might be a crisis around the corner and whether these could be the early warning signs or not.
Probably, those reviews whether it was coming from a bot or a group of people who wanted to stop and ruin the reputation of long existing exchange Kraken. This will also tell us that not all feedback/reviews are true, some of them are used to destroy someone like this which gives us a reason not to verify and do further research if possible. In fact, I've been using this platform in the past year before jumping to Binance, I'd never encounter any issue so I believe all of those things are fake.
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much could you earn in a day ? on: November 03, 2023, 06:04:03 AM
1. Is it possible to make 1% on a trade within a short time frame as in a few hours or a day ? Would that also inturn mean that you would make 10% on futures with a 10x leverage? I would like to elaborate more on this i just simply dont know where to begin. It would be nice if i could have a conversation with someone who has experience on the matter.
It is indeed possible to earn that amount, however make no mistake, just because something is possible it does not mean that you can do it over and over again, earning 1% per trade may not seem like much to those that do not understand the power of compound interest, but on my view that is a massive amount of money.

With this in mind you should not get your hopes up about getting those kind of results, as even the best traders around the world will be unable to get those kind of results.
yes, 1% is a very small amount if you think but that seems acceptable for newcomers and those who have small capital. But those who spend a lot of money in trading and let us say they are experts, they can make it more as it was possible for them. But putting into the situation that we are new in trading and less experienced, we better accept and have contentment for at least we make a profit despite the level of our knowledge and skill. We should stop thinking instantly because this will be the reason for failure and emotion.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 02, 2023, 09:20:25 PM
I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.
Jealous - a certain behavior that make someone commit a crime even if it was their relatives and friends. A reason why we should not let people know that we are wealthy people and that we are holding a lot of Bitcoin for this will give interest to others. Perhaps, we can trust any of our relatives and friends but not to the fullest at least, we still leave a gap. We can't set aside that someday, any of them has an evil plan.

But what happened to OP's story, is probably that person is not a close relative to him. But still, he is wrong and he should not expose his Bitcoin to everyone even if it was his relative.
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of trading BTC pair? on: November 02, 2023, 08:47:58 PM
I want to know why there are so many pairs available to trade on exchanges.
Does trading with a bitcoin pair help us save fees in any way? For example, if I need to trade other altcoins, I need to first sell my bitcoin for USDT and then trade that altcoin with the USDT pair. In this process, I need to pay a double fee, so trading directly with a bitcoin pair will save me fees in any way?
How will I profit if the prices of altcoins match those of bitcoin? When I trade with the BTC pair, both will rise and fall simultaneously.
We see a lot and that is good for this will give us an option as to which pair is more profitable. If we could think deeply, why do these coins exist if they can't be used for trading? Good thing that trading platforms give us a chance to choose coins to trade.
You wonder why the price went high and low and this is because of the volatility of the market. Even choosing altcoins the up and down of the price is still what we can see but the advantage of using the Bitcoin pair is we are sure that if the price falls, it will recover - meaning we can't lose if we are patient.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerians spend $975m daily on online betting on: November 02, 2023, 04:13:13 PM
That's totally alarming considering the total population of Nigeria 225,600,039 as of November 2, 2023 coming from the source below.

https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/nigeria-population/

So let's do the match, that's 65m/223m = that's 28% of population are into gambling. Well, I tell you, this pecentage is too high considering some of the 225m population are minors or kids, or women, which the rate of gamblers is really high. And here's another interesting numbeer from OP>

Quote
spending an average of $15 daily

And as per data below, it's minimum wage is.

Quote
39.289 USD/Month
https://take-profit.org/en/statistics/minimum-wages/nigeria/

So they are gambling more than what they earn? That's unbelievable.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 02, 2023, 02:49:47 PM
It's strange that this game between Lakers and Magic isn't appearing at stake yet. So I still don't know who the favorite will be and what odds they will have. but my opinion is that the lakers will win

It's normal because the fight is set for three days from now. It's too early to expect odds for it. Try checking back the day before the game, and I'm sure not only Stake but other gambling sites will also list the odds.
475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is regulation of cryptocurrency exchanges essential for mass adoption? on: November 01, 2023, 09:54:34 PM
Honestly, till now the regulation of crypto is still a debate of whether will create a huge impact to grow adoption or not. There is a mixed opinion on this thing but for me, this would help in a positive way believing that this will increase trust and build confidence to the users and merchants thinking that we're safe as the government supporting this project. However, we can't set aside the argument that the government may also take advantage of it and implement unfair taxes. This is the thing I've worried about because at the moment the government will take control, and manipulations can be possible which makes people say that it is better to stay in the situation that we have already.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 09:31:08 PM
And this is why the Warriors traded Jordan Poole, Lol,

https://twitter.com/UsherNBA/status/1719135524001071523

He might want to be Steph Curry, but obviously he is not. And most likely why he was bench in the play off because of this kind of plays that he might pull, hehehe.

And it seems that the CP3 trade really looks good as of right now.  Grin

Brutal.  I mean young guys will do that kind of thing but if you don't learn or change then yeah eventually it leads to the bench and even worse without a contract and out of the league.  Pretty drastic considering his talent but yeah he needs to cut all that crap out.  Miss watching mamba put there during times when I see these guys loaf like that.

Poole's ball-hogging behavior is quite crazy; he doesn't seem to consider passing the ball to his teammates and appears to believe he can carry the team all on his own. Perhaps he's still riding the preseason high when he scored 41 points, but it's becoming apparent that this approach is not effective in the regular season. Defenses are tighter, and if Poole doesn't adjust his mentality, he might find himself falling out of favor with his teammates.

CP3 is number 8 in APG this season why Poole is at 87. LOL.. Warriors knows Poole would continue destroying the team if they'll keep him.

477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 01, 2023, 08:58:41 PM
Just the same, when Pacquiao is dominating the ring, I used to remember that Mayweather also thinks that way and he doesn't want to fight the prime
Pacquiao accusing him that there's something that the man is taking the reason why he really dominating.

But all are just accusation and not being proven till Mayweather beat Pacquiao in a match where many can say that it was a robbed with an unfair
judgements.
I watched that fight too, and I have to agree that Manny didn't appear to be robbed. Mayweather was clearly in control, dictating the pace of the fight. He made it incredibly tough for Pacquiao to land clean shots. While Pacquiao is known for his speed and strength, Mayweather's ring intelligence and speed were a crucial advantage, which is why he emerged victorious via unanimous decision.

However, it's true that some people have a negative perception of Mayweather's fighting style, finding it a bit on the boring side. Personal preferences in boxing styles certainly play a role in how fans perceive fights.

moving back to Tapales request, not sure if he and his camp can get that surprise test as the fight will take place inside Inoue's' homeland.
This is a unification fight, they'll do everything to make it a clean fight, and if that drug testing is requred, then I think both camp should comply with that.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to value bitcoin and cryptocurrencies? on: October 31, 2023, 08:54:59 PM
like we value equities using equations and ratios, what are the factors on basis of which one can do valuation of bitcoins and the other cryptocurrencies for that matter.
Bitcoin raises its value because people are buying and there is an increasing demand while the supply remains. It is the same scenario that will happen to altcoins. As you can see many altcoins are dying because nobody is buying them and demand is declining. Well, we can say that people never value them as they are useless either. Bitcoin gain such appraise and continue growing because there is an increased number of users, investors, and traders due to its profit potential and usefulness, unlike these altcoins where most of them are useless and scam.

480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 31, 2023, 02:15:43 PM
Some of you think Francis should have won, but the match should have been a draw IMO. He did okay, but not well enough to win. It just one round. Tyson Fury won every round according to the judges, even though he wasn't his best. But, the result won't change, so let's move on. It's all about the money!

That's not true. Fury won the majority of the rounds not every rounds, at least according to two judges, as it was a split decision. Two judges favored Fury, while one favored Ngannou. However, it was a close contest, so it's understandable that some people may believe Ngannou should have won.

These are the scores for your reference.

Quote
Judges Alan Krebs (95-94) and Juan Carlos Pelayo (96-93) scored the fight for Fury, while Ed Garner had it 95-94 for Ngannou.
