481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin? on: October 26, 2019, 06:09:48 AM
If i am guessing right, this should be faucet or pay to click stuff.
It usually do exist and only a few still does, but the ones which are still around, most of them are filled with malicious stuffs.
The truth is, nobody wants to give away free Bitcoin this days without getting anything in return.
I'd be suspicious of any site that gives away Bitcoin 'now' without getting anything in return. Its simply because Bitcoin is real money and people don't give out real money easily  Tongue!
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: October 25, 2019, 09:59:07 PM
For some reason this bet is very difficult for me to do.
I do not really understand about politics in the world except in the local area, it's just how to work on this political stakes. I want to try, but where to start. And one more thing, if you bet. Are fellow users or gambling sites available.

It's not really that hard though as it mostly involves in you betting for a candidate who you think will win.
One site I know that does it right is https://www.betfair.com/sport/politics  it works mostly for country like the UK and USA.
However, you need to ask yourself if you really want to do it. I feel politics betting is easily manipulated though.
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Price of BTC on: October 25, 2019, 08:54:40 PM
Even with it accountability and security features, the price of Bitcoin cannot be easily determined like that.
This is just one thing no one can propose and it becomes possible.
This quality of it makes exploitation impossible; something very different from fiat.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: October 25, 2019, 06:59:19 PM
I think that when we lose a small amount we don’t care much and we don’t restrain ourselves from continuing to play.A good thing to do to restrain yourself from not playing again is to place the sport bets you will play and then go out with friends or family and do not think about betting anymore for the day until you see the results, this is what I do.It works so far for me in sports.I don’t know about roulette and slots.

Going with friends or families won't help much expecially if they are players/gamblers too.
They might motivate you to play more and disregard the loss as being small. Thus, convincing you that the next play will bring big wining. Before you know it, you have played more than you expected to put in.
485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: October 25, 2019, 05:58:56 PM
I think excessive monitoring of the price site like CMC and chart should be the paramount here.
This particularly creates panic which in turn causes panic selling.
This does not mean that the trader should shut themselves out from been updated on the latest news on crypto but instead reduce constant watching of price especially on the period  many are panic selling.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: October 25, 2019, 04:56:49 PM
in my opinion, why is bitcoin never a global currency, because every country already has its own currency, if you want to put bitcoin in it, of course there is a process that involves the entire country. If this is the case I find it difficult to make bitcoin a global currency ... !!

Plus one on the point you stated about every country having their own currency.
Probably when there is a world single power, then there will be a one single currency and Bitcoin might be part of it, aside that, Bitcoin can only work in line with every country currency to be functional. That is if it is acceptable in that country.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions on XRP for long term investment (BEGINNER) on: October 25, 2019, 03:12:23 PM
Your choice for investing in XRP is really a good thing.
I won't say that's its a good coin simply because it has been listed among the top but because it has been striving for years now. Coins like that can stay long term.
Saw from the above discussion that you don't have an exchange yet, many suggested Binance. It is a good exchange.
But please do not leave your coin in the exchange (infact in any exchange). Find a way to secure it offline.
488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin cross $50,000 by Dec 2020? on: October 25, 2019, 01:38:45 PM
Very possible but you should know that altcoin would not determine it.
Altcoins has no match for Bitcoin, at least we haven't seen any coin which will be for now, probably in the future there might be.
What could contribute to the price of Bitcoin reaching 50k by Dec 2020 are more adoption, less panic sell and more positive acceptance from governments.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction on: October 25, 2019, 12:08:49 PM
Both addiction can be hurting and in one way on the another and at the end it makes the person suffering damaged. The different between them is that one is causing a physical damage while the other is causing an internal damage.
Another thing is to examine their effects/long time effects. For me, if you ask me, i think internal damage is more crucial than the physical damage.
Gambling addiction can be removed or stopped through therapies and self-will but cigar addition can led to lung cancer. Unfortunately, not much can be done to resolve it.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite way to receive money as a gift? Cash or digital.. on: October 25, 2019, 10:15:40 AM
If this little survey can determine this much, talk more of those who did not participate.
The popular saying, 'the world is going digital' and 'cashless economy is evolving' is truly coming to pass.
Nobody wants to be left out anymore.
It's a good thing digital currency is becoming a popular thing soon enough it will be uncontrollable. Hopefully, the governments might reconsider their stand.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation around the world and Bitcoin on: October 25, 2019, 07:54:34 AM
You shouldn't use the situation or the stand of gold globally to measure that of Bitcoin. Gold has always been there and will continue to make impacts. Moreover, economic situation of a state can push people into adoption of Bitcoin too, look at the situation of Zimbabwe.
No, people would not go into digital things when they have ecnomic crisis. Just imagine, if you are so poor and worries about what can you eat tonight, will you put your last dollor into bitcoin?
Don't be too sure to judge yet, once the price of Bitcoin start to pump like it did in 2017, many people, even those who don't have the fund will do anything to get it.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Devs and CEOs on: October 25, 2019, 05:53:14 AM
This is why many are advocating for regulation though.
But the truth still remains that when caught or termed bad, you have nothing tangible to hold them to against.
They will say that they went to conferences and so as an act of marketing the project for the benefit of investors at the end, the project falling is not their fault, they will claim.
What's should be done is prevent low quality projects and any one who do not have certain from setting up ICOs.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your most common superstitions? on: October 24, 2019, 10:29:25 PM
My is simple, when am about to play, i do usually tell myself 'This game will make me a millionaire'  Grin Grin
Also, i try to shy away from second attempts. I do most times believe that i won't win through it.
I know a friend of mine who believes that weekends (mostly Fridays) is his lucky day, so he plays only then and also a friend who totally avoid gambling on Sundays.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: October 24, 2019, 09:31:14 PM
I think there is a lot of bad news that makes investors disappointed with bitcoin and finally they prefer investors to secure their assets because they no longer trust bitcoin, so that the current conditions at the exchange place are falling very badly.

They first disappoint most Bitcoin investors had came with Bakkt.
Most people held on to their Bitcoin as they expected it to increase in price because of the launch of Bakkt.
However, price went down, a lot where confused. Presently, I think people are selling are panic selling. They lack patience to see what the ending of the year brings.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Yourself And You Protect Your Assets on: October 24, 2019, 08:27:17 PM
I agree with the part where you said that one has to have other business or job aside cryptocurrency. This is so true. People should understand that cryptocurrency is an investment not a business except for people who day trade, and I must say, its not very easy nor stable.
About not telling people that you are holding Bitcoin, that kind of true though.
One has to be careful of certain friends but I don't think it will mean much telling an out stander who don't even know you.
496  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: October 24, 2019, 07:15:25 PM

I'm pretty sure a lot of people believe that Binance is the best exchange. But I'm also sure that one day there will be an exchange that will take over Binance. If we look recent days or months back, Binance seems have a suspicious activities done by the team, like a sudden maintenance which is not good for me. Other strange thing for me is hacking issue that has ever come to Binance which for me seems like wasn't true, or made by internal team, like they are playing game over us.

No, Binance actually not the best. It just seems the best.

We are only saying its the best now cause there is no recent decentralized exchange that is working towards effective like it does.
Binance is really doing their best, just one issue that they kept having is full security of users funds.
In the future, I do like to see a competitor capable enough with great feature
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 24, 2019, 02:47:43 PM
i have never won a big amount in gambling, thought it depends on what you mean by big amount though. In my case i have never won 2 and above bitcoin at a stretch, just closer to it.
Going back to your question, if i can remember well, i did gave out a some of my winning to a friend who needed help then.
Not the whole wining though but just a split. Then, we were in school and was very broke, long time ago though.
498  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin freelancing is dead? on: October 24, 2019, 01:13:27 PM
I think it's because many people don't know about it yet; I mean they don't know of the possibility of paying freelancer with Bitcoin.
I have seen where people get paid in bitcoin to do certain freelance work but this work don't usually comes from freelancing sites. It's mostly an agreement with two people.
OP, if you can set up a site that accepts freelancer for Bitcoin payment like the mentioned above, it will be a good think. Just market it vigorously to draw attention.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loan to buy Bitcoin? on: October 24, 2019, 05:40:46 AM
Generally, getting a loan just for buying Bitcoin is something I won't advice anyone to do particularly for someone with unstable income.
But in your case, I won't say you shouldn't go for because you mentioned that you can pay the loan with your stable income and alternative income.
Before you pick the loan, I suggest you tell yourself if you really want to do this, if Bitcoin go below 1k, you won't freak out as you will be paying for a loan even with the accumulated interest and no gain at all from Bitcoin. if you can visualize this pain and willingly to survive it.. Then you are good to go.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: October 24, 2019, 03:40:28 AM
It still results to be being self conscious and addition of self restrictions.
Set out a specific amount to gamble with and this budget shouldn't be spent instantly. Put it little by little.
When you lose, don't try depositing more money or keep on pushing on. Just call it a day.
It may sound as easy as said but constantly practising helps a lot.
