481  Other / Meta / Re: Where is my merits? on: October 24, 2020, 10:16:32 AM
I can predict that tomorrow, Bitcoin price will still be above $12,000. Now, If I'm right, does that mean I deserve a merit? If yes, then give me all your merits then lol. Of course I won't provide any proofs to my claim just as you did not provide to yours.

You are either high when you are posting your threads or straight up troll to confuse the people with baseless predictions.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really use alts for the purpose they're supposedly created for? on: October 24, 2020, 08:55:04 AM
Some are investments while others are for use case. Let's take for example Dogecoin, the only reason why I buy this is because it is one of the most well known altcoin out there. It's fast and cheap for transactions and many exchanges/wallets use them. For investment, I'd make kucoin as one of an example for making passive income.

I think this is why cryptocurrency is very popular to people because it's up to people on how they are going to use this.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What "Type" Of Cryptocurrencies Could Hit 5000$ - 10,000$ Mark!? on: October 24, 2020, 08:41:34 AM
Defi hype shown that any hyped project can hit 10k mark but not for long
True, the DeFi hype will not last long, especially if it is actually used by some of the scammers in crypto, so it is likely that DeFi will also sink by itself when the enthusiasts have started to wane.

In my opinion, the DeFi market is already waning because of too much saturation. It's only a matter of time before people moved on to another project. We don't know what will that be yet though but it's inevitable that a new innovation would be made in the future.
484  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BTC stuck in limbo on: October 24, 2020, 08:19:11 AM
Hindi lang maliit, sobrang liit ng binigay mong fee, but don't be worried kasi dadating din yan. What you could do is to use accelerator services na mayroon tayo dito sa forum. I really can't recommend kung sino nag ooffer dito ngayon but may nababasa basa akong mga sikat na tao na nag rerecommend ng mga gantong services. I think hanap ka nalang kabayan ng mga ganto, baka makatulong sa transaction mo.

This might help. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4466298.0 ingat lang sa scams.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't PayPal decided to use xrp than Bitcoin? on: October 23, 2020, 11:48:39 AM
That's just your opinion because you're a holder of ripple but ripple is lacking compared to Bitcoin because I think it's a matter of popularity. There's not doubt that Bitcoin is the most famous cryptocurrency out there. I even know a lot of people who aren't aware of cryptocurrencies but knows Bitcoin. There's not doubt that there's a lot of people who wants to invest or know Bitcoin but has limited options, Paypal just gave way to them because there's a market in it.
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin broke $13k today on: October 23, 2020, 06:35:29 AM
Will is stay above $13k this time?

The price is already dropping so I think it won't stay that much and will probably settle around $12,000 which is still nice. But who knows, we might reach $14,000 this year. I think Paypal really did gave a significant impact on the price of Bitcoin because it gave more option for people to buy cryptocurrency. Not only that, there's just so many articles being written right now that is hyping Bitcoin. Even billionaires are making statements about Bitcoin in a positive way. Just google search Bitcoin news and you'll see a bunch of FOMO articles around.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 23, 2020, 06:13:02 AM
Because Bitcoin is just not feasible to be used in your daily transaction. I don't know about you but the majority of people wouldn't use Bitcoin to buy an apple because of the fees and internet connection is one of the problems of the world. Internet is not free, not everyone can afford fast internet connection and not everyone have access to Bitcoin. It's just not feasible for Bitcoin to be used. Not to mention Bitcoin is so volatile, some just aren't risk takers.
488  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fxcryptomarket247, ATLANTICINVEST on: October 23, 2020, 04:58:39 AM
I just don't get it. How did you not research this company and just invested $1200? That money is a lot of money especially when you live in a third world country. What's up with that name by the way? Nonetheless, it's near impossible to hack those money back. What you really can do is to just report this incident to an authority near you, you'll have more chances that way.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unacceptable attitudes from new project teams on: October 23, 2020, 04:29:37 AM
I think what's really stopping most of the bounty campaign managers on getting an escrow is that projects needs to pay for it and the bounty campaign manager market is pretty saturated. There's a lot of bounty managers out there and probably managers who doesn't ask for escrow is most likely to be picked by projects who are stingy (You know what I mean).

I think what we should do is to not join those campaigns that is not escrowed. Projects will be forced to comply with the people. But reality will just slap us in the face, not many bounty hunters will do this.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy BTC from PayPal now that they are letting people do it? on: October 22, 2020, 07:36:35 AM
Basically, Paypal is another one of those third-party wallet app that has it's own exchange, so nope. It'll probably appeal more to first world countries, but in the Philippines, we already have that kind of wallet that is more convenient.

I don't really trust Paypal since they are notorious for freezing accounts without any noticed. They'll probably question where your Bitcoin came from and it's going to be an inconvenience in my opinion.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An additional 6 billion Tether was minted October 21 on: October 22, 2020, 04:09:25 AM
I just got amazed about 6 billions tether being added to the market and the question should be where is the company getting these money? these have no active income and then what?

They actually ask for a small fee for whenever you make a conversion from USD to tether or vise versa (You can see it here from their website https://tether.to/fees/). Now just imagine how much money are moving around the market this time, you'll get an idea on how much they are making. Also, add their personal business and assets then you'll see how that 6 billion tether came from.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops Confusion on: October 22, 2020, 03:54:03 AM
This has always been a confusion here in the forum since the beginning of referral campaigns (around 2018). Just look back in 2017 and you'll see that some projects prepared airdrop campaigns that actually give free coins/tokens without the need of work. Now, referral campaigns and some bounty campaigns are disguising themselves as "airdrops" even though it's not free as you have to actually work for it and you'll most likely waste your time.

If a project ask for you to do things besides asking for your wallets (not keys), then it's not airdrop. Airdrop is suppose to be free and people shouldn't work for it because giving free coins/tokens to people is actually an advertisement itself to the project.
493  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: pano kung ang pilipinas ay magka crypto but it has same value sa btc on: October 22, 2020, 03:16:08 AM
...

494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges are guilty of preventing Bitcoin mass adoption on: October 21, 2020, 11:44:32 AM
-snip

You should had made some valid proofs or documentations that would validate your arguments before making some bold claims. As far as I know, Bitcoin price can't be manipulated easily as traders holds the majorities of the liquidity. Exchanges gave way for people to get cryptocurrencies in convenience so it's the opposite of what you are saying unless you proved the rest of us otherwise.

If only you claimed that exchanges are manipulating their marketcap, then that would actually make sense since this is well known.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of Defi hype! Time to invest in real business with real products? on: October 21, 2020, 11:28:47 AM
End of Defi hype! Time to invest in real business with real products?

Gas prices at 6 months low!!

DEFI hype investment hypes are over! it is really a time to invest in real business with real products!
And who told you that all DeFi projects don't have real products? I see you are a newbie, you'd better spend time learning what few DeFi projects have in stock, projects like Polkadot, Chainlink, Synthesis aren't here to play, not all DeFi projects are complete waste of time and money, DYOR

Doubt that he's a newbie though because he knows defi and cryptocurrency yet this is his first time posting with this account.

I guess what OP meant is that there's not going to be much projects going to be made compared last couple of months because of how saturated the defi market is. It's kinda true in essence though because there's not much to invest to anyway. All of them (new projects) are the same things and most of them are scams, basically ICO 2.0 right now.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google news is spreading FUD on: October 20, 2020, 08:38:29 AM
Well, google news is like daily news from different websites that is not written by actual google company itself, at least the majority of it based from my research.

So maybe the algorithm picked up that you are into Bitcoin and that is why google news is recommending you news regarding Bitcoin. I do get some notifications from google news from time to time from my phone so that's probably what is happening to you right now.

Basically, google news isn't spreading FUD in my opinion, it's just the algorithm recommending you news based on your recent search history.

Some links would help us a little though.
497  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: pano kung ang pilipinas ay magka crypto but it has same value sa btc on: October 20, 2020, 06:39:11 AM
Sa title mo is "same value sa btc" pero sa post mo is "same sya ng value ng peso" kaya I'm a little bit confused. Also, what do you mean by value? in marketcap ba? or sa presyo?

kung hindi man matataasan nya kaya ang value ng dollars ?   Huh Huh

The thing here is that, ano bang klaseng cryptocurrency ang binabanggit mo? Kasi depende naman kasi ito sa serbisyo or kung ano ang target niyang audience or anything that will be valuable to the people. kaya hindi din namin masasagot ang tanong mo maayos.

But nontheless. No, I don't think na marereplace ng cryptocurrency ang mga fiat currencies but instead mag co co-exist silang pareho sa iisang environment.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We don't do it in Bitcoin! on: October 18, 2020, 09:13:06 AM
Well yes, technically we don't do that in Bitcoin since we can't do that in Bitcoin in digital form. I think the closest thing that could happen like that is when scammers or money launderers are using physical papers which have bitcoin wallet written in it then selling that paper to a client instead of using exchange.

Pretty bold of him to do that though.
499  Other / Meta / Re: 25 Messages deleted in one bulk. Why is that. Not sure what I did wrong!!!! on: October 17, 2020, 07:58:06 AM
That would be a lot of -snips, don't think that would look good for anyone to read. I wouldn't say for sure I fully know why the 25 posts got deleted, people and myself have only been speculating on the reasons why.

There has been no confirmation on why so many posts got deleted in one go, at least not that I'm aware of.

I think it's better than having to quote the whole post.

To be honest, he really doesn't have to post every qoute though, he just needs to quote the post that he is referring to and just remove the rest since people can trace back the conversation from the post that he quoted in especially when he is quoting someone who quoted at least 2 other people which will pile up really bad. Then add the "-snip" and it'll look clean.

500  Other / Meta / Re: 25 Messages deleted in one bulk. Why is that. Not sure what I did wrong!!!! on: October 17, 2020, 05:47:31 AM
Wow, 25 post is a lot in one go.

Since you know why it is being deleted, what you could do is to just delete the messages that is quoted then replace it with "-snip" for people to know that it is cut due to the post being too long. Also avoid threads that is necro already or threads that already has full of spams that even if you try to contribute to the conversation, no one will see it.
