#botscanthaiku

Not a bot, but thanks for recognising I wrote a haiku Smiley

not a bot? yeah sure
to prove you are not a bot
you must smoke a lid

tell us what happens
when burning down that huge blunt
the result will tell

if human or bot
or some other entity
that haunts our nightmares

At $5.79 I do not know what to do when I shop tommorrow.

Chickens? Jam them in with your mining equipment.

but the chicken feathers and such mess the intake fans up. 6000 rpm fans + chickens/chicks = stuff you have to see to believe.

Note that, as stated by @Mbitr, you seem to be interpreting the decimal point wrongly. The reading on the Twitter entry is 12,15$ (12.15$ in the image), where the separator is a decimal point.

I tried to see where the exact figure came from for the sake of it. This site places the price for today-10 years at 11,86$, whilst this other one brings back the 12,15 $ mark (but as a summary for the whole of october 2012), and this other site sets the mark at 12,04$ per BTC. Not that there is much difference between them though.

yup. i remember ~ $10ish usd range in 2012

source: i was there

do you think is all those who bought at 2012 have kept their bitcoin till date? no because even when such opportunity is given to us then we would have sold and never think of the future were it would be in the next 12 to 20 year to come.
I also think like you, do not believe that those who had the opportunity to buy bitcoin at the beginning of the year like 2012 can hold out until now. They could have sold it when it hit $100

uh, its possible to have done both you know.

This used to be my Win 3.11 stability test back in the day.

If it couldn't run overnight then the system wasn't stable enough to go out the door.

And most of those systems were overclocked.

heh i used to use SETI@home as my win3.11 goto stability test back then. never thought to use doom as i always used dos for that

edit: or maybe it was folding@home. my memory sucks

So I cut a foot with the l6-20p put it in spare parts. May do some short adapter to sell on ebay.

I attached the surplus l6-30p to the longer c19 part and I now have a low cost

l6-30p to c19 cable that is long than 13 feet this will run my incoming s19 miners.

wait so you basically have a cable thats half of a 20 amp and half of a 30 amp cable? with a 30 amp plug?

isnt that dangerous if you pull 30 amps on the 20 amp cable?

i must be missing something. will check again once i have more coffee..

$1.5 Million Floating Home Prototype Sinks Into The Water Just As It’s Unveiled.

Three floors, a landing pad for drones, a bunch of electronics - all this is in the houseboat. At first, everyone admired the unique idea, but as soon as the house left the pier, it immediately bent over and went to the bottom.

The SeaPod, builty by Panama-based technology company Ocean Builders, is meant to be a self-sustaining, eco-restorative home that floats above the waves.

Looks to me like it probably bottomed out and tipped as it needs to sink a bit as its weighed down to keep its stability.

Not designed to balance on its bottom.

i saw a reddit comment that said the pod has an active ballast system or something with pumps and they continually balance the system to keep it level. apparently one pump failed somehow.

Hmm, if true not building redundancy into a critical system like that is poor engineering on its surface.

yeah if indeed thats true that what seems crazy. if 2 pumps minimum to stay floating safely? i would have at least 3x that.. hot spares plus replacements.

its a prototype but still..

Every halving mining reward decreases by half, that is why we have 4 year cycles of bitcoin bear and bull. But some people can't hold the full cycle. For example I sold bitcoins in 2015. That was one of my worst mistakes in the whole life.

So you sold Bitcoin when it was worth between $200 and $300, but the question is when you bought it, so did you make a profit or did you sell at a loss? However, you had a lot of time to buy Bitcoin again, because during 2016 it cost only about $400, and at the beginning of 2017 it was about $1000, and during 2018 it dropped again close to $3000.

One full cycle is not a problem, 2 or 3 are a real challenge Wink

i beg to differ. the 1st cycle is the most fun one to panic through. the rest are easy after that.

I finally managed to quit cigs a couple months ago, had been toying with quitting for months before then. The only problem is I switched to vape and after a while vaping started to cause a slight pain in my left abdomen, kind of gross... I need to quit it altogether.
Quitting smoking and vaping will make your health better and your daily expenses more efficient.

I have quit smoking for the past year. You know, the money that I should have spent on buying cigarettes I saved savings little by little. Then when my savings opened, I immediately invested in Bitcoin. I will hold on to it for the long term because I firmly believe Bitcoin will hit a new ATH again.

nice.

i smoked analog cigs for 30 years, then vaped for 10. plus smoking weed. this resulted in me blowing a lot of disposable income that could of been better used (bitcoin obviously).. and also earned me COPD and asthma. i now have around 66% of my lung capacity. i have an inhaler but rarely use it, once or twice a week maybe when im outdoors landscaping and such.

now, ive quit vaping and use tinctures and edibles for weed. so thats cool.

tldr: yeah smoking sucks. just dont.

....

I absolutely don't buy the idea that Bitcoin wouldn't have any value without shitcoins.
it certainly had value, when there weren't any shitcoins around.

......

Of course bitcoin would still have value without shitcoins in the mix.
My point is that it would drop in value if shitcoins were to evaporate overnight. Obviously they won't, just a thought experiment , if you will.
And that's not to say it wouldn't regain its previous value over time. I'm sure it would.
But again, as you agreed, shitcoins will always be part of equation, like it or not.

i wonder.

when i started there was only bitcoin. well, namecoin too popped up after a bit (merged mining) but that was more or less a dead end.

ergo, bitcoin worked fine. all by itself.

Bitcoin stands alone. as in, no shitcoins need apply.

BTC will shut their mouths and they will They will lick their own ass۔
How is that possible?   ....I mean to lick ass with your mouth shut ?  ..and your own ass at that...

such things are not meant to be understood by mere mortals

I'm by far no expert in that regard, but I'm willing to learn..  please share some of your knowledge..

nooooooooo that way lies madness
