481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss on: August 28, 2023, 07:18:50 PM
I had some scenarios of my stop loss being pushed down a little bit incurring  me more loss what could be the possibilities.
How that could be if you've already made a stop loss? That does mean that you've set your stop loss and removed it?

Because once you set your stop loss then that's the metric that you've set so that it will control and stop your losses. So how can it incur you more losses if you've done so?

And for a scenario for you to incur more losses is either you removed it or didn't set it. But as long as you set SL, you're good and won't make more losses.

I don't think I'm the only person that have witnessed  this  besides I only experienced it when I'm trading  spikes . I already gotten some info's already base on liquidity  and brokers too ,I don't think you really get me sir
Yeah, probably I'm not getting you and I haven't experienced that. But if you've seen it and witness it, then so be it mate.  Smiley

Usually this SL's are really that commonly used on day trades and futures but if we are really that doing some swing trades or weekly or monthly positioning before we do snip out profits
then it wont really be that necessary but doesnt mean that you cant use it. It would really be entirely be depending on your risks appetite or on how you do really take the market.
I'd still use it if I'll leave it there for months and I'll be back just for assurance that I'll be able to cut loss if the market goes in turmoil.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: August 28, 2023, 05:40:01 PM
No way Roll Eyes
The listing fees of the best exchanges are huge, so any project can be listed for money and it is not the best coin for that.
Moreover one should not rush to invest after seeing the listing on a good exchange because the development of the project will be more dependent on an investor.

There are many coins that get delisted from good exchanges because their volume decreases and investors decrease, the main reason being poor development progress.
That's right that listing fee in good exchanges requires hefty sum of money.

But, there are partnerships that these projects can enjoy with these exchanges if ever they'll offer it to them and they oblige. Or, if the exchange sees them as a good and potential coin.

By that, they can flee with the fee but AFAIK, they need to give an amount of share of the token that they're working on.

484  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: August 27, 2023, 07:46:47 PM
~snip~
If we say whether Twitter has collapsed or not, in my opinion, Twitter has collapsed since Elon Musk's entry into management, now it has changed to X, and yes, the media platform that we have known for a long time, called Twitter, has disappeared. was built a long time ago and is well known to remote areas, now it has collapsed.
The drastic changes after Elon's acquisition to Twitter was noticeable. There have been good but mostly bad changes from him.

how do you think the app and website work? even though to be honest he doesn't need to change the brand that has been built for a long time, he just needs to add the existing facilities on Twitter and or have integration with the new platform he is developing so that it is related so that it has a broad scope, isn't it better like that?
Well, change is constant and there's no permanent especially on this modern digital time where every website has their own pace.

He has bought it so most of the changes will be from there and I doubt it that he's willing to collaborate it with another company and I don't know if he's got one that suits it.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting btc of tuitions payments for College/students? on: August 27, 2023, 06:43:51 PM
Is it possible in future students to pay tuition with cryptocurrency like btc or another. As we all know that only stable money can run a country, moreover btc price is unstable so you can't do that even if you want to.
Yes, very possible.

They can simply use a third party service if they want to convert it quickly into fiat. So for those schools, it's just going to be another payment method but then, they have to use a service as I've said.

IIRC, there were schools already that have accepted payment methods into BTC or those were just online courses.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: August 26, 2023, 12:29:33 PM
When there's no utility and it's just a created token or coin just to be traded made by the developers.

And many of the tokens are like this upon creation, the reason why many don't like the new projects is that the devs are only ones who are about to make money.

A typical pump and dump altcoin, it is.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: August 26, 2023, 10:01:02 AM
It is very difficult to understand what Elon Musk actually wants to do with Twitter, I saw a few days ago that he changed the Twitter loggo.
It's now X.

Since buying the popular social media platform Twitter, he has laid off many employees.  I doubt he really planned to sell $20B for all the stock he had with Twitter. I think the huge amount of money he bought the Twitter platform would certainly serve his purpose.  I don't believe Twitter is going to collapse because Elon Musk is not one to give up so easily.
If he's going to sell it from the half amount of his purchase. It's likely that he'll only sell the half of his stocks/shares from it. And AFAIK, that acquisition is still costing him to pay it continuously up til' now.

Of course he's thinking of some new changes to take Twitter one step further.
He wants it to be an all-in app/website.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: a Monopoly-Inspired Journey to Accumulate 1 BTC on: August 26, 2023, 08:55:58 AM
"Hello everyone! I've got a perspective on investing that I'd like to share. Hopefully, it can provide some insights for our future BTC owners to make the most out of their investments. Mant individuals see the journey to 1 btc a very impossible one because of its current price, this thread is for every to put their iq together and work up a solution.Back in my younger days, I was introduced to the classic game of Monopoly – a familiar one for sure. Now, let's take that Monopoly strategy and apply it to the world of cryptocurrency. Imagine I'm aiming to accumulate 1 BTC, and all I have is $30 to start with. How would this journey unfold in the crypto realm? This is a bit of an intellectual exercise, so put your thinking caps on and let's map out our path to the red hotel 🏨 😁. I'm sure this game will be an enjoyable one for all. And hey, let's also invite our experienced seniors to share their wisdom. Here's to aiming for the moon!"
There are many ways to do it.

But let's just go with the basic method and that's to have more source of income. That's the first one, the others are like selling things for Bitcoin and the same goes with services.

You said it about the game monopoly, I don't know how that game goes but I've heard that when I was a kid and it's like the entire economy goes on and the same goes with our local neighborhood, shops, etc.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Likely to Approve Several Spot ETFs, Sparking Next Bitcoin Rally: Matrixport on: August 25, 2023, 11:05:11 PM
While I am positive that we're going to get into the next rally as the bull run. But I don't want to put my hopes high with those predictions such as $150k.

Not saying that it is not going to happen but as long as we're back to the last ATH then we're all good and that's kind of setting in that we're actually going near to the six digits.

It's only a matter of time to see it happen though.
I do have this feeling that the SEC might not respond quickly on these fillings there may be some further, and I'm even thinking that this Bitcoin's ETF approval may likely coincide with the time of having which, if that happens, It will have a significant impact on the price of Bitcoin and thus be a catalyst for the next bull market we have been yearning for.
I am also thinking that they're going to put it on time where the halving occurs, so that's double force that will surely drive the price of bitcoin higher.

It is always best to expect less and be surprised than to expect more and get disappointed.  I have this hope that Bitcoin will have at least 2x the current ATH or somewhere near that.  I am contented if Bitcoin breaks $100k  because it would be another milestone for Bitcoin price history.
I agree, that's the better approach on this matter. Because before I have expected a lot but it had only given me disappointment.

So learning from that is to expect less but always be prepared to whatever is going to happen to Bitcoin.

In the past, I used to think prices like $40K - upwards of $60k were too high and unattainable but that hypothesis has been falsify during the last bull run. I honestly think that we won't be seeing any ETFs approval until the next halving event is imminent. If it goes on to be approved around that time, that price could ve achieved.

ETFs getting approved right now will signal more interest from institutional investors even interests that were withdrawn after the FTX debacle last year.
Yeah, like when the ATH of $20k was reached and it was like impossible to be back there again. But 2021 have proven that sky is the limit and then the bear market arrives again.

There has to be the driving force that will make these institutions go crazy and back to Bitcoin and these are likely the ETFs that has been filed and will be filed.

491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bnb after next 5years on: August 25, 2023, 08:38:52 PM
Few years ago, didn’t though that bnb could reach such milestone as it is 3rd most invested altcoin in crypto world
I wasn't also expecting that it will be big as it is right now. I should have bought when it was real cheap before.

But most of exchange tokens are fall down for being useless (only use for discounting exchange fee) as well as after exchange get hacked.
If I bought before and I've seen the ATH and then with the price now, if I'm still holding it all I can say is that I am still in profit.

So what do you think about bnb in next 5years?
Is it really worth for long investment?  Will it increase like ether or become dump like others exchange coins?
We have no idea, a lot of things can happen but many are still putting that in their portfolios so there's no problem with it if you are thinking of going long term to it.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market will pump soon? on: August 24, 2023, 11:43:13 PM
Crypto market was going well, Bitcoin was pumping gradually and altcoins also following the path after bitcoin. But market get dumped recently. But today it shows good signs for something good to be happened. So what do you think? We are going to notice recovery soon? Or many dumps are waiting ahead?
Don't get too excited with that.

The time will come that the market will recover no matter what happens and whatever is the situation for most altcoins.

You're right that we've seen a quick recovery but that's not enough as it dumps again. Just think of it that more dumps to come and you're likely to see more reds in the market. But it won't last longer as we approach to bitcoin's halving.
493  Economy / Economics / Re: People keep talking how weak dollar and how bad usa economy getting on: August 24, 2023, 10:52:24 PM
It's going to be a whole new system for those that have been joining the new alliance of BRICS. Whatever they think is going to benefit them with mutual agreements, that's where they're going.

While for those countries that are coming into this partnership and alliance, they're all thinking of what's beneficial for them.

And you'll see that when the USA/UK and G7 alliance comes again on their own, who knows that those countries that are into BRICS might join them in as well. I am not into any of those alliances but I am saying whatever alliance a country sees beneficial for them, they will go there.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling the old professional bounty managers? on: August 24, 2023, 09:50:29 PM
Personally they are here but they don't bring bounty now. What do you think could be the main reason for this? There were many higher rank managers who gifted us bounties for good projects in the past but now they are retired. What have they removed from the bounty due to the bad situation in the crypto market?
It could just have been their personal decision and they probably have other things to do now. Because majority of the bounties are no longer worth it of their time if they won't pay to the crypto that they prefer.

Many of them prefer to pay with their own tokens that later on won't have any value so, effort and time are wasted. That's what I think but I still see some reputed managers that do manage bounties.

The gift you're mentioning I think is all about how professional they are and that's part of their job to choose the projects they have to manage.
495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be the problem here? on: August 23, 2023, 11:49:20 PM
Very similar to gambling.

Let's put it this way, logically, when we trade then we could potentially win and lose. And it's like some sort of belief that when you trade more, you're likely to lose.

And the same goes with gambling, in the end, if you're a day trader OP. When you are in profit, don't lose it and just take it so that you'll see why these situations are fairly normal.
Similar situations on gambling but different in long term involvement on which we know that gambling cant really be that totally be compared to trading since its a different thing. Although in speaking about risks then it is really there and its up to someone whether they would really be accepting it and would really be considering on continuing specially on trading which its true that if you do see that you are really that making profits in the end of the day then it is really just that right that you shouldnt really be that stopping but rather continuing since this is an indicative sign that you are really that progressing in terms of
your trading. Problem? There's no problem as long you are really that sticking with your risks management because if you wont really be that mindful about this then you would really be ending up on
messing up your initial plans that you had made out earlier and possible goals that you had already insighted.
Sticking to the plan you've set and the risk management that you're doing will play the big part on it.

That's why we're chilled when we're excited and upon doing these trades, a lot changes based on the emotional that we're reacting from the trades we do.

And when you're determined to continue yet the results of the most trades you've done are not conducive, it's okay to stop for a while.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: August 23, 2023, 07:37:20 PM
in my opinion, Consider the market capitalization and trading volume of the altcoin. Higher liquidity makes it easier to buy and sell, and a substantial market cap might indicate a more established project.
That is the easiest way to determine if a coin is easy to trade and you can dump the token or coin you own if it's like that.

While many investors understand what meme coins are. Still, they're buying it and they're not really after the coin but after on what's with that coin currently.

And that's with the trend and hype it makes.
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big surprise in mid-August - Do not panic!!! on: August 22, 2023, 11:31:33 PM
What do you think OP? Have you been guilty of that?
Ohh, it's the opposite that I've understood.

However, that also happens and the same as what you've meant. Anyway, I think that many are guilty of that and even some or many of the forum members as well.

I am also do guilty of that but that was before not until I've planned all of my buying patterns and sequences that usually happens when there's a crash.

Yup, now you got my point. As I said before many times, it's natural behavior for us, when you're invested you want to say good things, but the real challenge is to post and act responsibly.
Alright, acting responsibly just as the usual and applying what we've experienced from having these series of dips.

Nothing positive we say can affect price, but everything careful and objective we say can help newbies not enter the same fomo mistake we all did.

Anyway, price stabilize today but we are still in danger. Remember not to panic when we recover Wink
Not panicking even if it goes down.

Maybe this month is just really tough and quite slow. We're going to the ber months and we'll see if something will change at the end of this year up to the time of the actual halving.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be the problem here? on: August 22, 2023, 06:24:01 PM
What do we think could be the cause for a trader that has been experiencing a win and lose repetitive occurrences in his trades.

Like he places a trade today he makes profit and the next day when he places another trade he would lose it, whereas the next day he then makes another profit and lose it the next. And this happen been repeating for more than a month.

Has anyone had such experience? If yes! Then how was or could it be solved or stopped?
The situation is getting psychological.

I think with the look of things he or she is overwhelmed with emotions that he makes profit that day and the next day he or she believes it will be the same this this things usually happens when you have too much confidence in a trade, its high time he or she accepts the fact trade can go anywhere at anytime its doesn't go in a straight line as we all know.

499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What features are now expected from cryptocurrencies? on: August 22, 2023, 05:00:29 PM
There are a lot of cryptocurrencies on the market right now, from those that focus on privacy to those that focus on development.
What other features or technologies are out there that people are hoping to get?
Not a lot.

It seems that we've got almost everything on it. Like from having those projects that deals with renewable energy, to accounting, to anything as in.

Nothing.
We're on the same page, that's why OP if you think that there's more to it then we think that there's really no need for new ones.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: August 21, 2023, 09:55:38 PM
but they have educational qualifications, so it will be easy for them to adapt to any new technology. 92 percent plus people are educated

Aside being educated, is there nothing to talk about the bitcoin education as well in El-Savador, in case you're forgetting, bitcoin education is part of their major success to count on.
That's a huge percentage for me, honestly.

Because before there were people expressing how disappointed they were when the Bukele government have announced the adoption of Bitcoin as a legal tender and they don't know how it's going to go and where to start.

But to say that there's been 92 percent of people there that have been educated, that's quick stats for them as they will be forced to know that sides of using Bitcoin as a legal tender.

The next thing is from that percentage, how many will get to used and understand Bitcoin even the basics of it?
