501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: July 14, 2017, 09:09:32 PM
Is there an ETA on when pixels.game will be launched on the Mobile Store? I think this game (which is massively multiplayer, and <should> feature a player-to-player MGO economy) is what's really going to help bring adoption and usage to the platform. How long until I can kick some ass and earn some MGO doing it??
This is probably our next newsletter Jeff. We'll launch a version of the app in one or two countries initially to see how the market takes it and prepare updates. But soon after it will be ready to go (keep in mind it will be both android and ios). I'll release the newsletter here and on the GAME forum too.

This is great news. I truly think a game like this is going to really bring in real adoption, and once people begin actively using the platform, MGO will be burnt and prices will pick up. Anyone who is bullish about MGO should be buying it up in droves while the price is still cheap.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Storj (SJCK) vs. Siacoin (SC) - Discussion on: July 14, 2017, 09:08:03 PM
They are both shit. Siacoin devs want to hardfork to add some billions of coins into their own wallets.

That info is wrong.
This was a post from a dev who was thinking out loud of how the team could raise funds. This was never an official statement nor a team expression.
The Sia Devs are very open in communication, in this case maybe a bit too less sensitive.

Three days ago they got a grant and announced in Slack:
“Nebulous has received a generous grant from INBlockchain, to be used for the development of Sia. Li Xiaolai quotes: "don't worry about money, just have things well done".As a part of this grant, we are committing to not forking the blockchain to fund development, now or in the future."
 http://sia.tech/2017grant/

The fact that devs even considered hardforking cash into their own wallets is a very huge red flag. I don't see how many members of the community were blindly supporting this because "The devs know best!" I can't get behind that kind of mindless support.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a decent strategy? (selling ico first day on exchange) on: July 14, 2017, 07:38:17 AM
This was certainly the case in recent times, but now that we've entered a bear market, it's hard to say that any and all ICOs are going to net you day one profits. A good parameter to set on top of that is to only buy into ICOs with an already working product, and if not that, a launch that includes a working product. If you can't find anything that meets this criteria, at least wait for something you personally feel good about.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with tokens after launch? on: July 14, 2017, 07:36:06 AM
The issue with a lot of ICOs is that a lot of people invest into random ICOs because past ones have been successful therefore so should this one. And thus useless shitcoins are overvalued in the tens of million dollars without any tangible product or usecase. With that being said, people who buy into for speculatory measures typically hold off onto these coins until they are listed on an exchange so they can sell them and make a profit.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming ICO Speculation on: July 14, 2017, 07:34:06 AM
Rustbits may be the only legitimate ICO worth anyone's time right now. It seems to have been flying massively under the radar but it's got a clear focus and already a working product. I'd stay away from all the Ethereum thinktank icoscams. Especially now that we've entered bear territory.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: July 14, 2017, 07:24:23 AM
One aspect to think about is with WAVES built in exchanges, it may be used as altcoin trade standard in the coming weeks as people are advised to take Bitcoin off of exchanges. There is a very real possibility that BTC/altcoin volume plummets, and in its place, things like WAVES will be leading the crypto exchanges.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dump is not over yet on: July 14, 2017, 07:21:47 AM
One thing I'm really concerned about is how people prepare for the August 1 BTC shenanigans. Many people are advising to take all BTC out of exchanges. If such is the case, altcoins are going to tank in value because there is significantly reduced amounts of Bitcoin to be purchasing the alts with. There's a lot of evidence to support this actuality.

Yeah, in some exchange the admins are advising to withdraw too (example: the rock trading  https://medium.com/the-rock-trading/the-rock-trading-and-bitcoin-hard-fork-8e31f82faf88 ). Lot of people think they're going to double their coins but it's possible that some exchange will only support one chain (core probably) and not the fork (if it's happening) so maybe the wallet management will be difficult on those days.

There is a very real possibility that volume is going to grind to a halt. What that means is everything is going to come crashing down. Seriously. The best bet may be buying into XCP, WAVES, and other platforms with their own dedicated altcoin exchanges to use as altcoin tender for the time being. They might be the only coins to surge on through.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PEPECASH] 🐸 Pepecash / RarePepe 🦄 Spepeculation Topic on: July 14, 2017, 06:58:18 AM
I'd just like to say that PEPECASH has done exceptionally well with maintaining value through all the garbage that has been happening in the altcoin game these past few days. It didn't pump like many coins did yesterday but it also didn't crash to fuck all like everyone else. Very happy with my pepes right now.

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high will Litecoin go? on: July 14, 2017, 06:46:30 AM
Honestly don't see LTC appreciating very long after the August 1 deadline. Likely scenario is fud will die once everything comes together smoothly, and LTC's role as apocalypse currency diminishes significantly. Expect at least a sustained price until Aug 1 followed by a crash.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fastest altcoin nowdays on: July 14, 2017, 06:44:24 AM
I've heard good things personally about both DGB and DOGE. With that being said, how much speed is really needed before its all essentially the same. Of course, it would be great if BTC was faster, but in regards to the quickest alts? Is there really any different between 5 seconds and 45 seconds?
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best features of a given Cryptocurrency? on: July 14, 2017, 06:34:56 AM
Technical aspects of any given coin pale in comparison to the community, hype, and team surrounding a coin. A community, ultimately, is what will make or break just about any project out there.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that are cheap but ICO quality? on: July 14, 2017, 06:29:15 AM
What does ICO quality mean? Worthless shit? If you want some cheap coins that are promising check on second page of CMC (ranks 101-200). Out of that group I would personally recommend Pepecash and Elastic. Of course, DYOR regardless.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Storj (SJCK) vs. Siacoin (SC) - Discussion on: July 14, 2017, 02:40:09 AM
They are both shit. Siacoin devs want to hardfork to add some billions of coins into their own wallets. Storj is an ICO from the devs that brought other useless ICOs. Besides, Factom is already up and running and has been getting the job done for quite some time now. Who even needs/actually uses these?
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Elastic (XEL) Price Speculation - #Added to Bittrex on: July 14, 2017, 02:29:54 AM
Price does not go up from 10k. Whales are constantly putting walls.

Once the main use case is live (sharing computing power), XEL is going to moon. Whales are going to run out of coins eventually at 10k sats and from there the sky is the limit. XEL is currently sitting outside of the top 100 in terms of Marketcap, once this happens it should be top 20 easily.

Seeing that you can purchase Counter-strike GO with GAME put a big smile on my face.  Grin

Owning Counterstrike is like owning a boat. People say the two best days of owning a boat is when you buy it and when you get rid of it. Best of luck uninstalling when you get the chance lmao
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: !!!Possible StarkaCoin Relaunch!!! on: July 11, 2017, 02:27:40 AM
Hi, I just want to let everyone know that I have two people helping me with the coin as of right now. One is developing a Minecraft plugin for StarkaCoin to be used on a Minecraft server and the other person is setting up a node for the coin along with a block explorer on my vps service that I bought. If anyone is still interested in using StarkaCoin please sign up for the slack chat room that I made for StarkaCoin and I will post updates and discussions on there as well as on here. But it would be nice if anyone interested in StarkaCoin could sign up for slack so I can gauge the amount of interest StarkaCoin has. Thank you.

Hey man, sorry if I'm digging up a defunct thread/coin. If I'm not: is there any update on that minecraft server? Or perhaps one that has launched I can connect to? Looking for something that doesn't drop the ball as badly as the DGB minecraft server has...
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum reached the bottom ? on: July 11, 2017, 01:59:46 AM
People have been buying Ethereum in order to buy into ICO shitcoins. Once the investments for the ICO-bubble pop, Ethereum will not only continue to decline, it will fucking tumble. All the way down to zero. There is no real world service that Ethereum provides. A ledger for shitcoins is only valuable so long as people say shitcoins have value, and, looking at the recent altcoin trends, it's clear to me that people aren't putting the same ridiculous value into shitcoins as before.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to solve the ICO and shitcoins madness? on: July 11, 2017, 01:56:36 AM
The way to sift through all the garbage and find something you truly like is to ask yourself, what does this coin solve? If the coin in contention solves some problem you think is important, and it has the devs to carry it out, and the community to support it, it's worth your support, too.
