Finally got my internet back! While I was stuck on a lousy 3g connection I started work on a new website that queries live digibyte nodes and then plots them out on a google map. Still have some work to do on the backend but its starting to come together. This is awesome! Thank you for sharing! PM us when your online.

Quick question, is the DigiHash pool PPLNS?
I think so but I guess you are asking because you have not received payment. Payout appears to be stuck at the moment, no payout since around 7am. Don't worry it sometimes does this and you will be paid when someone resets it. Is there a formal contact for pool operator other than this forum? anyone? Jared is the pool operator. Will send him a message. Yep that's exactly why I was asking, I'm hashing at around 400MH/s peaking at over 1GH/s on scrypt algo and haven't seen a payment yet :/ I've ended up pushing some of my hardware onto another coin just incase... At 4KW/h per hour I don't want to come up empty handed, so thanks for the reassurance! I guess it's around 3AM where Jared is and he should be getting his 'beauty sleep'. Like I say don't worry digitaldoxy, it sometimes does this and you will get it all at once when reset. and thanks 24. That's great to know, I'll wait and see... To be honest, it's been a while since I've experienced problems such as this in pool mining. When you're talking very high hash rates (up to 6GH/s scrypt algo for my situation) it's definitely a concern due to the obvious overheads for each hour that passes.... I've diverted all of my hashing power to another pool, not because I want to, but because it makes good business sense from a risk v reward point of view... I realize you're likely spot on and all my earnings will come through, but it's probably something that DigiHash needs to look into if they're to attract more hashing power. Jared just read my message and will push the payouts. Edit: Payouts incoming! Just got iOS issue resolved as well as the DigiHash pool being reset. Everyone should of been paid out. Cheers.

I like the visual overhaul but feel like it is a bit too dark, and that there is not enough contrast.
Thanks for the feedback! Any specific color suggestions?

Thanks guys! After a long break from mining, this is one of the most promising AltCoins I've seen in a while at the outset, so fingers crossed huh! Yes, I agree. This is one of the coin inspired by Bitcoin and with improvements over that oldie, this coin can take it mainstream. Hopefully! This will of course depend on what the dev. team can do, and what we as a community can do to support it. Welcome to the DigiByte community! We are glad to have you on board and we are working very hard to help DigiByte go main stream!
We have been hard at work on translating the main DigiByte website to several other languages as well as getting it indexed on search engines under various languages. We have had several offers from people to help translate the site and we appriciate that. However, we have also had several people trying to make a quick buck by simply copy/pasting from Google Translate. We have been down this road before (original OP a year ago). We don't mind giving people some DigiBytes to help us translate the site, but we feel this should be more of a community effort done by people working to help spread DigiByte in their local countries & communities. As such we are doing our best to screen bad actors and well keep adding new languages as approrpiate. So far we have:English: http://www.digibyte.coChinese: http://www.digibyte.co/zh-hantNederlands: http://www.digibyte.co/nlFrench: http://www.digibyte.co/frGerman: http://www.digibyte.co/deItalian: http://www.digibyte.co/itKorean: http://www.digibyte.co/koJapanese: http://www.digibyte.co/jaGreek: http://www.digibyte.co/elSpanish: http://www.digibyte.co/esSwedish: http://www.digibyte.co/svIf you see translation errors please feel free to PM us or email dev@digibyte.co with the appropriate corrctions. We are also getting some trusted people logins to help with translations directly.

Any news concern translated the original website? I received several messages people willing to help and all send them to Jared. Zero response from the team Raver, Thank you for the offer to help translate! We will definitely take you up on it. It takes a lot of work to get the site structured properly for translation as we have to basically re-do the entire site structure for each language as well as make sure it all works. Since the DigiByte community absolutely rocks several people have come forward and offered to help translate the site so we are working to do several languages at once. We will be reaching out to everyone who has privately or publicly offered to help here in the next couple days. Cheers!

How about integrating a block explorer into the core wallet?
Since it keeps a fully downloaded blockchain it will always be up to date, and we wouldn't need to rely on the web version blockchain explorer.
This is a great idea. We will look into seeing how easy this would be. We are currently bring all DigiByte specific code into the the 0.10 Bitcoin codebase. This will allow for the "headers first" approach to syncing. So when a new user download the DigiByte QT it will sync much faster with the chain by only downloading the block headers first. We will be releasing an updated QT wallet before releasing the upcoming hardfork wallet.

We are working on French and German now. What other languages should we make a priority? Also, if anyone would like to help with additional languages we can get people a login.

hello. i am mining on http://digihash.co/ with payouts going to the digibyte android wallet. I noticed that SHA-256 has not paid out since 8am PST. Could the pool owner look into that? Thanks After looking at it we see two pending blocks. It appears payments were pushed out. Did you receive a payout?

Is anyone using the Linux wallet, specifically on Ubuntu? It takes forever to sync for the first time? There is no bootstrap.dat file for Linux? There are still shared library issues, and it can only be run from the command line prompt?
Your help and feedback will be much appreciated.
BTW, someone, thank you for "scanning and tipping". Great fun, isn't it?
HR, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have experienced some issues with syncing ourselves. We are looking in to setting up a bootsrap.dat as well as some other ways to "prune" the chain. If anyone has any good resources or information on potential "pruning" options they have come across we would love to hear them.

Introducing ★★DigiSpeed★★ Hard Fork What is DigiSpeed Hard Fork v. 4.0? DigiSpeed will allow DigiByte to match Visa in transaction carrying capacity! 1) DigiByte block timing will increase from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. 2) DigiByte block size will increase from 1 MB to 10 MB initially, with built in future increases. 3) Custom block propagation code based upon Microsoft research will dramatically increase network efficiency. 4) DigiByte transaction capacity will increase from 140 TPS to 5800 TPS ( Visa averages 1736 TPS). 5) DigiByte reward will stay on track for 21 Billion DGB in 21 Years. 6) MultiShield will be improved even more to allow for even greater security (90% of 1 of DGB's 5 mining algos, plus 51% of others will be required for an attack) making MultiShield even more secure. You misquoted me on #6. What I said was that 90% of one algorithm and 33% of the rest would be insufficient for an attack. 51% of each will suffice for an attack. But this is a colossal improvement over the current situation. Thanks for the clarification! For those who don't know Collatz has been a huge help with updating difficulty code & making it more secure.
