hey.
what im doing wrong? my avalon(60G/Hs) wouldnt connect to the internet. ......
Can you go to the web page on your Avalon and see the Status --> Overview page? It may have information similar to this on it. What is that information for your system? Type: static Address: 192.168.0.82 Netmask: 255.255.255.248 Gateway: 192.168.0.2 DNS 1: 8.8.8.8 my router give: my laptop: ip-addr: 192.168.178.53 my avalon: ip-addr: 192.168.178.58, because the avalon is setted to dhcp-client netmask: 255.255.255.0 gateway: 192.168.178.1 dns1: 192.168.178.1 the router have 192.168.178.1... and you meen, that i changed to static with an other subnet-addr? really? i try this, but normaly its a wrong subnet to connect to the internet, isn't it!? EDIT: i can ping at "Diagnostics" ip-addres for example 173.194.112.56 (google.de), but not the host "google.de" My impression is that the DNS is not working, but the routing and addressing is set up correctly. It seems certain that you can ping 192.168.178.1 from diagnostics, but I would try that anyway. Find the IP address for your mining pool, and temporarily use that so that you are mining during this time. Do you have a laptop or workstation that will correctly ping "google.de?" If so, what DNS does it use? Are you familiar with nslookup? ping 192.168.178.1: PING 192.168.178.1 (192.168.178.1): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 192.168.178.1: seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.625 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.178.1: seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.528 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.178.1: seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.511 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.178.1: seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.510 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.178.1: seq=4 ttl=64 time=0.509 ms
--- 192.168.178.1 ping statistics --- 5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max = 0.509/0.536/0.625 ms OK miningpool: stratum.bitcoin.cz ip: 192.198.107.178 (i can ping this ip from diagnostics) my laptop can ping the host google.de nslookup from laptop: C:\Windows\System32>nslookup stratum.bitcoin.cz Server: fritz.box Address: fd00::2665:11ff:feff:bac4
Nicht autorisierende Antwort: Name: stratum.bitcoin.cz Addresses: 192.198.107.178 95.211.52.40 nslookup from diagnostics: Server: 127.0.0.1 Address 1: 127.0.0.1 localhost
nslookup: can't resolve 'stratum.bitcoin.cz': Name or service not known So the DNS server for the Avalon is 192.168.178.1 On the windows machine, verify that this server can find stratum.bitcoin.cz >nslookup >server 192.168.178.1 >stratum.bitcoin.cz

Saying that there can only ever be 21 million Bitcoins is an empty scarcity argument, because the actual value of a Bitcoin is not yet settled by the market.
The 21 million is limited by the mining software. The USD / BTC exchange rate is not relevant to this. Well, it is. The more value that accrues to a Bitcoin the greater the demand for subunits to fractionalise value. The number of fractional sub-units is also defined. The minimum unit is 1 Satoshi. There are 2,100,000,000,000,000 of them.

Does anyone know the dimensions of a Avalon in foot and inches? I am looking at putting mine into a colo and don't know what the measurements are off hand. Each batch has different dimensions.

I have placed a buy order for 25,000 BTE on coinex. Please feel free to place a sell order. This might be a good deal for an early miner.

Thanks for the fast response!
1. The address I sent to:
1NJfZHbPFkH5FEnu3HTrR73oFSV3qLCGTv
2. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but:
4ffa64a5540c7b51e333f65e293e26be5b6a7eab66bc0e04bcf5702cee38a9fa
3. The address that held the funds:
14S3162Qro2AV1yuJdHdn6Xgy2EPb5FXcw
I used the info that you gave, and found this transaction. If you can sign a message with the address 14S3162Qro2AV1yuJdHdn6Xgy2EPb5FXcw, it will make a very strong case that you did indeed send those funds, and not someone else.

I still haven't heard back from Avalon, I'd like to bump and offer .03 BTC reward for anyone who can put me in contact with someone at Avalon who might be able to help me (not sure if possible, but I'm growing more concerned every day I don't hear back).
I went ahead and cancelled my order on Saturday and I haven't received my payment back.
If anyone from Avalon is around I'd also pay the reward to you at this point.
Thanks!
Fairly standard questions are 1. What address did you pay? 2. What is the transaction ID? 3. What address held the funds before you paid? Do you know either of those answers?

Are there any new nodes available? I can't seem to get more than one node connected from the list provided.
for IPv6, use [2001:470:c019::2013:401] Note the clever use of 2013-04-01

Isnt the default IP for the Avalon 192.168.0.100?
You might be logging into something else on your network.
The Avalon default IP address is 192.168.0.100 The OpenWRT failsafe address is 192.168.1.1 You will have to pay attention to your laptop's address and also netmask during this process.

Block explorer is now in sync.
Next time, somebody may try to send me a PM or e-mail when they notice. This is especially true with a coin in the state Bytecoin is in. It is not unusual for the the Block chain to get stuck due to high difficulty and low miner hash. I have seen the Bytecoin chain get stuck for many days, so it was not unusual for me to see the last block on the explorer a few days behind.
However, this time for some reason ABE was stuck on that block. Normally when a explorer gets stuck it is because the coin daemon crashed. This time I had no indication that ABE was stuck as there were no error messages and the daemon was running. I had to completely rebuild the database to fix the issue.
So please, next time, send me a message of some sort or even post in the Cryptocoinexplorer thread, instead of just posting the issue in a forum thread which I might not see. Thank you.
Thanks. I just searched for a cryptocoinexplorer thread, and found this one. WWW.CRYPTOCOINEXPLORER.COM ... Let me know about any issues or ideas you may have. Please donate if you can , VPS hosting has a cost associated with it.

Everybody feel free to use the CCE Bytecoin server as an addnode to help with syncing.
addnode=84.200.4.218
The blockchain list is stuck at 26,774. Yes, and the reason it's stuck is because ahmed_bodi and his "forker" crowd were counting down till the diff dropped and then pounced on the coin with big ASIC units, and reaped a bundle unit the diff rose again. This from a guy who claimed he didn't mine and only wanted to fork BTE for the good of the coin. See his own admission of perfidy at.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304452.msg3275648#msg3275648Several people are mining at this moment. The correct block count at 2013-11-23 23:27:06 GMT is 28,605. Blocks are being mined, the web page is not updating correctly.

Is something wrong whit the Bytecoin explorer? It stuck @ block 26774.
bte.cryptocoinexplorer.com resolves to 84.200.4.218 I see connections to that address in my debug.log, and I see block numbers that are more recent.
