5001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 10, 2019, 09:08:41 PM
Great game between Liverpool and Manchester City today, lots of action and some drama, most City players and fans would feel they were undone, but fans on the other side of the divide will see the decisions as fair, as majority of then could have gone either way.
Now, I'm at a dilemma at who Liverpool fans would want to win next week when City face Chelsea. The blues are in very good form, and Liverpool would want some of that momentum quelled, but they wouldn't want City to bounce back either.
The players of course would be focused on Crystal Palace.

Is the premier league already closed?
After just 12 games, most likely not.
5002  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start trading with 2 BTC? What is the first step? on: November 10, 2019, 07:12:21 PM
The first step would be to not to get started with 2BTC at all. That's too high an amount to start trading for someone with no experience.
Trading is a long term venture,so you have to properly build on your foundation. Profits in the early stages would be few an far between, but that's the best way to get a feel of it. Avoid trading/sign groups which are shared to you. DYOR.

Use your best learning option, books, videos or articles. I will suggest you try demo trading in the beginning, although a lot of people misuse this feature. If you're serious about learning how to trade, you'll take demo trading as the real thing, only use amounts you would risk in an actual trade and keep trying till you get it right.
5003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 10, 2019, 08:58:18 AM
I say it will be an easy Liverpool win unless something unexpected happens,

I don't think there can be an easy win anytime this two sides meet up. Liverpool and Manchester City are yo two best teams in the league and has a repertoire of talents at their disposal. A lot is riding on this game, a Liverpool win means they go nine points clear with city still having to play 4 more teams in the traditional top six and also the surprise package Leicester City before the end of the first half of the season.

While a City victory would open up the race a little bit more. It's the biggest match in English football at the moment. And it's impossible to choose. I chose Liverpool though.
5004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: November 10, 2019, 06:17:55 AM
I've gone over a year without gambling at some point. I am addicted yo predicting fixtures of matches but not on actually placing a bet on them. Every week during my break I always used to draw up my prediction and wait for the results, rueing my mistake when I score one and relieve when it fails, which happened more often than not. This made me to stick to my break the more. I now only gamble for fun, and almost always on my team.
5005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: November 10, 2019, 05:58:01 AM
Opponents at the New Camp always seem to be playing at second gear for most of the games, the atmosphere is the teams no.1 strength. Of course, then there's Messi. I always bet on Barcelona to win at home.
There seemed to be a tiny bit of fluidity between Messi and Griezmann during the match, if they find a connection, the team would be much more better.
5006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC now ~$8,780? Simple... on: November 10, 2019, 05:46:33 AM
During the bear period experienced early this year, the value of Bitcoin plummeted to below $4k. At this point many miners closed down their rigs as it was unprofitable to keep searching for and confirming blocks. And the drop in miners reduced the competition and hence the hash rate, this shows that has rate adjusts to the market value of Bitcoin rather than the reverse.
5007  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Cryptocurrency should I get? on: November 09, 2019, 08:42:51 PM
I am hoping for big returns so I'm a bit scared of getting bitcoin since it has been going down in value.
Big returns in any venture comes with lots of risk, especially if you want quick profits. And it going down in value depends on your angle, the price is way above what it was early this year during the thick of the bear season. If you're looking for long term profits then I would also suggest Bitcoin.
However, do not just; 'get some cryptocurrency', first learn about cryptocurrency: when to buy, how to secure your coins, i.e, protecting your wallet and device as well.

] - Possible same user.

We're not the same person.
LUNO app requires a KYC process to allow people convert cryptocurrency to fiat above a certain amount, and one needs to pay to acquire those documents. I offer to sell for the user instead when I'm converting mine. Sort of like an OTC trade. As it's someone I know, yeah I know, that sounds cliche.

I've not gone through the other users' post history intently as yet, but I'm very positive a clear distinction in posting style would be obvious between two different people after so many posts on the forum. There must also be posts which have been made at the exact same time.

Tottenham are not in the best of forms, but that doesn't take anything  away from Sheffield United. They have been brilliant this season, I've been watching them for some time and predicted a top 10 finish, I may be getting more optimistic than that. They're unbeaten in their last six EPL fixtures and sit 5th on the standings now.

Btw isn't this Teemu Pukki's seventh game without a goal ?
Lots of fantasy premier league players bought him after the first few games, I never added him to my team. Norwich is not a very strong team, they've had some good results, but are lacking talented players in some areas. Pukki in a much stronger team which holds the ball longer would be more impressive.
5012  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: New Faucet Site on: November 07, 2019, 06:10:35 PM
Faucets are no longer as profitable as before, but for a newbie the knowledge gained from reading articles and blog posts on cryptocurrency is an added advantage.
It can be part of the learning process, and they'll use those few cents to get practical knowledge about how to transfer cryptocurrencies, which wallets to use and how to protect their private details
5013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus game: EPL, Matchweek 12, Liverpool VS Manchester City on: November 07, 2019, 06:06:21 PM
This is the biggest, most important Premier League match this season.
I would add, 'so far', the return leg next year would be equally if not more important. I believe both teams would still be close at that point in the season.
About the current fixture, Liverpool look to be in a better position, playing at home, UCL victory, didn't travel over the week.
I have not gotten updates on Ederson's injury as yet, but it would be a huge blow for the team.
5014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More time as a newbie on: November 07, 2019, 01:47:24 PM
The newer 'merit' system means you will be spending likely more time as a newbie.

...the newer merit system means one now has to make an effort at quality posting before being able to wear a signature or personal text, and earn from the forum.
A newbie will normally take 28 days to have enough activity to become a jr member, this is enough time frame to earn at least one merit
5015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 4 on: November 07, 2019, 03:49:26 AM
I do not believe in superstitions. A dream about winning numbers or football match winners is a sort of predicting the future, and I doubt we can do that even in our subconscious state. I have dreamt I was watching a football match which was to be played the coming week (probably cause I think to much about important games), I didn't think too much of it, and it did not play out as I saw it.
5016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 07, 2019, 03:44:41 AM
Manchester City would have an eye on their clash with Liverpool over the weekend, and would love to make quick work of Atlanta and give their key players a much needed rest. Then again pep would be wary of complacency and would not want to overlook tonight's match.
I also expect lots of goals as we got in the reverse fixtures, City, PSG, and Tottenham few of the teams I expect to score lots of goals; possible over 3.5.
City obviously were the later and didn't have enough focus to win this match, this does not set the right tone for their weekend fixture, but it does little to harm their UCL group stage qualification.
There were not as many goals as expected in the fixtures I highlighted, only Tottenham scoring over 3 goals. But there were plenty goals on the night, and also plenty of drama.

5018  Other / Meta / Re: Is it legal to send messages to bitcointalk users? on: November 06, 2019, 04:20:17 PM
Just like emails, most people do not appreciate unsolicited messages being sent to them. Email platforms sort this into the spam section and admins on the forum can also do that based on their discretion.

It's more ethical to begin with an introductory message, preferably specified to the particular user, rather than a bulk one and it shouldn't contain links. Request for permission to include more information in subsequent messages. Very few people would reach out, but you're sure those that do are interested, and you reduce the chances of getting reported and nuked.
5019  Other / Meta / Re: Activity issues on: November 06, 2019, 11:53:38 AM
As stated above there is now a merit threshold to qualify as a jr member and wear signatures. These restrictions were implemented sometimes last year;
Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted. Also, newbies can no longer set any signature or personal text...
5020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: November 05, 2019, 07:58:40 AM
I do not think Real Sociedad are dreaming yet of a league title, for teams in their position, the objective is the next game, and then the next. Barcelona and Real Madrid have been in very bad form for most part of the season, especially when you compare it with their expected standards. Madrid are experiencing a transition as most of their top players are losing form due to age and they're still reeling from the loss of Ronaldo.
Barcelona's woes are entirely technical. These are not issues you solve at a snap, and I see chances opening up for other Spanish teams to make a title charge.
