Call me crazy but I am a little suspect of the agenda of a 2 day old newbie with 7 post all related to trashing physical Bitcoins and implying that Casascius, a member with a stellar reputation is less than trust worthy. I have had Cas Coins since the very early days and currently have quite a few and never have had any issue trusting him.
If you don't like them, don't buy them.

I didn't even take the time to read the Newbie's posts prior to me penning my satiric post. ~TMI BTCITW

People screwing up my vacation, too From: Louise > Hi Rassah, > > The official name for my charity is DREAM OUT LOUD PRODUCTIONS (DOL) EIN 05-0581165 www.dolfilms.org we produce documentaries. > After my last documentary Angels in the Dust (#2 on Netflix) I created a second charity to work under the DOL umbrella; called > THE DO Ubuntu Orphan Bracelet Campaign www.orphanbracelet.org we would love to stop paying high fees to Network for Good and Paypal. > > Is it possible to become one of your sponsored charities? > > Your help would be greatly appreciated! > > Thank you, > Louise Hi, I know of an NPO called Life Line Association that resides in Israel. They are working on improving the quality of life and saving lives in Israel, mostly for people with rare diseases or complications looking for help to afford costly medical treatments. A couple of friends of mine have a son with Canavan's disease, a genetic disease affecting the brain similarly to multiple sclerosis but starts in the womb and progressing much more quickly. I'd like to help them and the NPO they're getting donations from to accept bitcoins. I'm a developer so I can help them technically and I would like to donate about 0.5 BTC from my own wallet. Thanks, David K.
Screwing up your vacation!!! I spent Thanksgiving eve on the ground at below zero temps, then dug a hole for the imu pit on Thanksgiving Day. Then had to repair my car, thus not finishing up the cooking till today. Then I'm on my way to LV. So, don't tell me your about your screwed up vacation plans, kittie. Both www.dolfilms.org and www.orphanbracelet.org would work, but only one endowment per person. I would love to see both sites accept bitcoins, whether for donations or purchases, and sincerely hope they embed a Bitcoin donation option on one of the sites so that they can receive a $1K USD via bitcoins endowment from Bitcoin 100. I know of an NPO called Life Line Association that resides in Israel. We're going to need a link to a website from David for this one, Rassah. I'm at a lost as to which site it is. ~Bruno Kucinskas

I'm not that familiar with your whole bitcoin 100 project, when I noticed, the thread for it was already too long to keep up with, so I'm not sure if you're interested in ideas after all. Just wanted to point you to a project that's got a lot of public awareness over here in Germany right now, since local Telco Deutsche Telekom featured it in their TV-ads recently. I'm talking about The Tutu Project. Right now, they accept donations by paypal only. I'd personally chip in a BTC if you could get them to accept Bitcoins as well, but I don't have the time to get in contact with them or anything, I already have too many projects going. Well, maybe it's just a crazy idea and you probably get those a lot, but I just wanted to let you know I was wondering what I should wear to the Inside Bitcoins (West) conference in LV. Now I know. http://www.thetutuproject.com/about/Through Linda’s personal battle, she has made it her goal to raise funds for women and their families that need financial support during their breast cancer journey. To help make her dream a reality, net proceeds from the sale of Ballerina will go directly to The Carey Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization that we established in 2012. There are so many expenses not covered by insurance, but what’s so great is that for every $1,000 raised we can make a significant difference to these women. We’ll be able to help with transportation to doctor appointments; wigs; lymphedema sleeves; childcare and counseling. To help distribute the funds we’ve partnered with CancerCare, a nationally run non-profit. Looks like The Tutu Project is right up our alley, and looks like a fine candidate to receive a $1K USD endowment via bitcoins from Bitcoin 100. Send them an email, and get the ball a rollin'! ~TMI BTCITW

So what actually happened, Phinnaeus? Pics? Has the dinner not transpired? Pics forthcoming, and the dinner didn't happen on Thanksgiving day due to me arriving late and car problems, mentioned above, but still the turkeys got into the ground yesterday and uncovered 22 hours later. I'm here to tell you that them 6 half-cooked $100 USD birds are the best looking man has ever seen. Translated, them weren't fully cooked, thus now are in conventional ovens to complete the cooking process. Once cooked, all the turkeys will be turned into meals or sandwiches. Jason's wife cooked the dressing at home, since would have been pressed for room in the imu, coupled with it was prudent that it be fully cooked with no room for error due to health concerns. I believe my error was not having enough hot hardwood coals at the base. As far as the homeless turnout went, there was only one guy spending the night there, but was outta pocket during the coldest nights, of which I spent the coldest night on site, as well as last night. I picked up a cough last night, and am opting to spend my last night here in Pensacola, FL, in a hotel room. The other homeless opted for either indoors or at another camp, but some of them started drifting in yesterday. I have a few more signs to make and put up tomorrow before heading out to Biloxi to look up a myriad of friends. From there, it's off to Austin, TX, then Las Vegas (not NM). The general consensus is that they all love Sean's Outpost, oppose to other sites they've lived at. Jason has some grand plans for the site, all of which is not outta the realm of possibilities. ~TMI BTCITW

@Rassah. I haven't vetted the last NPO(s) you've linked due to the site going down and a tad busy here in Pensacola, FL. Should be able to take the little time needed to accomplish it tonight.
I need to head on back to Satochi Forest to make a batch of cucumber salad prior to digging up the six turkeys placed underground yesterday.

Good job, all! When I leave Pensacola, FL, after conducting the first ever Thanksgiving at Satoshi Forest, dubbed Pilgrim Kālua, I'm heading to Las Vegas for the two-day Inside Bitcoins (West) conference to be the first to raise a million dollars for one cause, then have the lump sum transferred to an NPO's bank account via BitPay, their second such transaction this year. The original goal was to be the first person instrumental in donating $1M USD to a non-profit, but that snake, Roger Ver, beat me to the punch on that one when he recently honored his bet and donated $1M USD to fee.org. It's events like those stated in the OP that I truly enjoy, thus bringing further awareness to Bitcoin in their unique ways. ~TMI BTCITW

Due to all the unforeseen delays, the turkeys were put in the imu oven (underground) yesterday afternoon, to be uncovered late this morning. How much do these six donated turkeys cost if purchased you ask? Only about a hundred dollars--EACH. Lyrics come to mind: When it says organic, organic, organic, on the label, label, label...
I've taken a many pics, with more to be a taken, during the entire process and of my stay here at Satoshi Forest. Honestly, this place would make a fine getaway/camping excursion for any fellow Bitcoiner interested in a mini vacation/holiday.

How you do it, is click Quote in the thread you want to copy from, then select all the text, then Ctrl+C to copy, then Reply in this thread, the Ctrl+V to paste. Voila: Yes - I think that's the 7th commandment after the one about owning a Kindle.
God wasn't keen on iPhones either. Straight to hell if you own one.
You been wiping your ass long, or just read about it?

When it rains, it pours!
The part I needed for the Caddy was supposed to be in about 8AM, but didn't come in till noon. Wrong part! But was needed anyway... then they broke it. Luckily, the auto supply ordered two, so they had the other delivered. The other end I truly needed was replaced with a quality used part. The part was compromised due to an oil leak of which now needs to be fixed.
During the interim, the truck we were using to do round robins of pickin' up other needed supplies decided it no longer wanted to start, thus had to resolve that issue.
The lava rocks and the rest of the supplies are on site, sans the turkeys still in the fridge, ready to put in the ground late tomorrow morning. In the afternoon, all the signs will be made and affixed to trees, then pics taken.
Had to stay in the hotel tonight due to not knowing if my car would be outta the shop, along with the back up vehicle having issues. Will probably spend tomorrow night at Satoshi Forest, having already spent the coldest night of the year there here in Pensacola, FL.

Just to put my thoughts out there - if there is a risk of abuse, there will be abuse.
Is there a way you could do this that would absolutely 100% be risk/abuse free?
You can consider laminating the bills with writing and/or a QR-code printed on the laminate.

Just curious, why did he create bitcoin?
A pyramid scheme is my best bet. 1. He "invents" it 2. He mines it for 50 bitcoins each time. 3. He makes sure others can only get 25 bitcoins and less and less, making his 50 bitcoins worth more eventually/on the long run. 4. He limits the output to 21 million ensuring his bitcoins become worth even more. 5. Perhaps even writes a sloppy client so even more wallets are lost lol 6. Uses multiple cpus from the start to out smart single cpu users 7. Announces/publishes it after he mined lots of t. 8. Perhaps even got into contact with criminals/drug dealers to make the system popular and get a user base 9. He designs the system to give out some free bitcoins/money to encourage others to spread the word, like a true pyramid system, making them coins more valuable. 10. All bitcoin users behave like pyramid scheme suckers, promoting it to others to make them coins more valuable and sought after/desired. Now he has some problems perhaps: 1. Perhaps he lost the private keys, seems somewhat unlikey, but a harddisk crash or other corruptions because of overheat is plausible. 2. He cant spent the coins, those coins will be watched like hawks on rabbits, if he does he may be arrested for questioning 3. Database is getting out of control, he may run out of time to cash in. 4. Other attacks/problems possible too, virus/trojans/etc. Others/the system have problems too: 1. Perhaps some private keys lost to crashes. 2. Millions of bitcoins stolen. 3. Millions of bitcoins to be seized. And then people claim the chinese are coming... no I think the loss of bitcoins is what triggered the shot up in dollar value. Perhaps the price was being controlled by silk road and such... now that he's gone the price free-falls upwards because of bitcoin shortage. And yes... the chinese may be coming as well adding insult to injury It was a brilliant scheme to get rich quick... and many suckers fell for it ! =D Other motivates might be at play as well (for example assuming it was Samsung, Toshiba, Motorola): 1. Selling lots of cpu/gpus/hardware. 2. Overheating/kill PCs trying to bring back demand for PCs Please add: To pick up chicks.

Can you please confirm the address where I should send the funds?
Address created specifically for you: 1freeqFvjmdcSFtZvwkqqLGS6Z3Qmwwur Thanks Rassah! I was wondering what you meant when you said that you had to "work" at creating the address. Now I know . 5 BTC sent (5700 USD at current exchange rate). Tx id: 9ded8c2fac4a8f012c2911b6d34dc3d65cdef754e9290a19ade46a12c5697db8. That's a bit more than agreed, but it will be easier to divide in 50 that way (0.1 BTC / charity). Let me know once it's used up, and I will send you the second 5k installment. Ain't this special! I’m beginning to think you’re serious about this whole humanitarian thing. When it comes to making an impact, you rule. On behalf of the entire Bitcoin 100 staff, thank you so kindly, freequant, for your great generosity. Bruno Kucinskas (TMI BTCITW)

Remind me to kick your Kung Fu ass, for this derails my goal of being the first person instrumental in accomplishing the largest charitable Bitcoin donation ever with the exact same amount via Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund. But, never fear, for I'll still be able to accomplish said task by not only exceeding a $1M USD lump sum donation transfer via BitPay, it'll be the first Bitcoin only charitable crowdfunding effort to date. No way am I taking time off from my RL venture--procuring and selling barn wood--to travel to Las Vegas to accomplish the task during the Inside Bitcoins (West) conference in vain after I finish up here at Thanksgiving at Satoshi Forest. I'll just need a proverbial ace up my sleeve, then act fast and furious (hint). Too bad you didn't use Bets of Bitcoin, then there could've been a chance you wouldn't have had to honor your bet. This post was penned as a reply to Bitcoin Jesus from TMI BTCITW.
