Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP.

It's been awhile since this question has been asked, but it is one thesis of this thread so I thought worth asking again.
How long do people now think we have to go until we reach bitcoin/gold parity (1 BTC = 1oz Au)
Last year I used to think this would take many many years, but given the recent interest and adoption by the tech startup community (just look at the recent VC investments and silicon valley leader comments) I think parity could now happen much sooner. IMHO by 2014 bitcoin/gold parity as an accepted or average price is quite possible. (Just 12 months ago bitcoin/silver parity seemed silly to ask for, but now that would be considered a stupid bargin.)
Of course once that milestone is reached, the next question/target is bitcoin parity with the real units of gold, comex 400oz bars. That is the realm of bankers and would make bitcoin real money.
Here's a parity goal:

Just got back from Walgreens with a night's supply of JergensŪ. Did I get back in time? If so, somebody lather me up, please. NOT THERE! My hands. For only I know how I like it.
267, I could almost taste it. NOT THAT! Though it's been described to me as being slightly salted, slightly sweet, like Land O'Lakes butter, and just as creamy.

What were you doing when we broke the $31 all time high? Dude, don't do that! I was to have the nut primed, now I have to start all over again. You best hope you didn't mess up my timing, for I promised no premature... ~TMIBITW

Well one thing is for certain, they used the wisest business model of all with regard to mining in general--a well known trick back during the gold rush days:
There's miners, and the folks who sell them the shovels. The folks selling shovels will always have money.
You can't mine Gold or BTC with a promise to deliver a shovel. There's that word again! Show me on BFL's website where they said that they promised actual delivery. Thought not! All because some products were delivered, doesn't mean the practice will continue. Think refunds. That practice ended when "full production" started. BFL is currently in the "double full production" stage, thus look forward to deliveries coming to a complete halt. And that's a promise! ~TMIBITW

Because I'm an awesome guy, I'm paying acorn $10 USD and Korbman $5 USD via bitcoins. Please provide me an address via PM so that I can pay you. Apologies for not PM'ing you both for the time being, for I'm busy.
~TMIBITW
Thanks, received my reward just now! Cheers. Damn, you replied quicker than I was able to post such, and I came directly here after making the payment. Thanks again to acorn and Korbman, both now paid in full. So what information have we gained from this, if any?
Proof that an actual $1M USD transaction commenced. Now we can sit back and wait for the refund tx. ~TMIBITW

I guess that now makes you an OBOH (Once Broke now Occupy House).
Ain't it sad how now having a regular roof over your head you're no longer able to declare yourself a Bitcoin Hobo? Whereas I, TMIBITW (The Most Interesting Bitcoiner In The World), would be able to maintain my self-proclaimed moniker with or without a roof over my head.
Seriously, glad to see you out of the rut. Consider thrift stores, or ask people at your work if they have any unused appliance they're willing to part with. And keep the damn music down, respecting your neighbors unless, of course, it's Jethro Tull, then fuck them bastards--crank it!
