521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoins do ordinary people have? on: November 12, 2023, 10:20:51 AM
Would it be a satisfactory quantity if I had 0.1?

Hodling 0.1 Bitcoin is satisfactory if that's what you can afford without breaking your bank, you don't have to follow the crowd and Invest outrageously as they're doing because that's a wrong way to go about investing irrespective of what you're Investing into. Bitcoin is the future and it'll be great if we can accumulate as many as we can get our hands on but you shouldn't invest more than you'll be willing to hodl when the market is experiencing a correction as when you invest more than you'll be comfortable losing, you won't be at peace with yourself when the market is declining and that can influence your reaction by selling too early and miss out on the gains you would have gotten if you were patient and held through the corrections.

Quote
How many bitcoins do ordinary people have?

We have more people having none than people having the least 1 sat. We're still early in the adoption of Bitcoin so many peoples don't know about Bitcoin yet or they do but don't believe there's any future for the currency. Some know about Bitcoin but consider it a scam due to the way Bitcoin is been presented by their government and other critics. Don't let the percentage of people having Bitcoin or not having Bitcoin determine if you'll Invest into Bitcoin or buy more. Use every opportunity you have to accumulate Bitcoin but while doing that don't invest an amount that'll make it difficult for you to hold and always reverse fiats for emergency and other expenses.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin. on: November 11, 2023, 03:26:35 PM
There have been bull run without Bitcoin ETF and there will always be bull run even if the ETF is rejected. So even when the market temporarily nosedives if the ETF is rejected, do not panic. Once again, hold on to your Bitcoin and do not panic.

The successful of Bitcoin ETF simply means more institutional investors will be attracted to the market as that's how they enter into a market through EFT. Not everyone's wants to go throw the process of buying Bitcoin before they can Invest into Bitcoin and Bitcoin ETF solves that problem so while ETF is getting rejected or approved, none of that should concern you because the success of Bitcoin isn't tied to the success of Bitcoin ETF. Bitcoin will keep surviving with or without them.

The increase in the price of Bitcoin should give us an idea what we're to expect when the bull market starts officially after Bitcoin halving. There won't be time to try to catch the market as everything will happens very quick so buying while the price is still at this low is the best steps to take so you don't be among those rejecting not investing into Bitcoin while the price was low. While you Invest also remember to store your Bitcoin securely in an open source hardware wallet or non custodial wallets like electrum but on an airgapped device.

As an investor you don't have to be concerned about how the market is moving as you'll be playing the long term game and profit when the price of Bitcoin is at a new ATH. Ignore the negative news surrounding the market and keep on Hodling
523  Economy / Economics / Re: New business idea. on: November 11, 2023, 11:26:22 AM
The kind of business I want to share is what is called graundnut oil making. This business idea can help someone that doesn't even have a skill and someone that is not even educated, all the person just needs to have is the money to buy the manufacturing equipment that's all.
With this graundnut oil making business, one can get the kind of life he/she wanted because the demands in this graundnut oil making business are a bit high.

They're mostly high in countries that don't care much about their health like the third world countries like Nigeria that'll eat anything they see because nobody cares as the economy of the nation isn't favoring the masses to provide job for them to get income that they can use to buy basic food needs for survival. I don't recommended groundnut oil because of the fatty acids (cholesterol) in the oil and it isn't a good oil to be used for cooking. Oils like olive oil are one of the best (especially from my experiences of using them to cook and have eaten food made with them). Groundnut oil business is in demand because it's cheap to make and things that are cheap aren't of the best quality. Our health is our wealth so we should always take good care of our health.

A new business idea I'll recommend is teaching your locality the importance of using oil with less or no cholesterol as they're a danger to the human body. You can then sell them good cooking oils to use and generate profits while you're helpings your people to stay healthy. Making a profit at the expense of people's health isn't a good business strategy even though it's what is becoming a normal practice in the business world. We can make a difference as change begins with us. If you didn't know about this, I hope you have gained something from this reply and you'll use it to good use. Oils high in cholesterol are harmfulness to the body like groundnut oil.

You're incentivizing spam by paying for up to 60 posts per poster each week. That's 10 posts a day with 1 day off. There's no way anyone that is writing this many posts is actually saying anything worth reading.

We have those in campaign that requires upto 40 to 50 posts per week, with  that you can also say they're spamming because they just have 2-3 days off if they were to write 10 post each per day but spam isn't about the amount of post you have to write per week because you can spam while writing just one post in a week. You can write 20 post a day and still not spam. Spamming isn't subjective to the quantity of posts we make.

You can write just 25 post to be eligible for payment in the campaign you're participating in and all that you have written isn't worth reading so what's the point here. Nobody asked the participants to make 60 post, we said the maximum to be paid for is 60 so the participants are free to choose any number they're comfortable with making. We have set rules for the campaign and anybody breaking it or that of the forum (by spamming) will be punished. If the participants decide to ignore our rules of no spamming and having a minimum number of 150 characters that's their problem. We accepted them into the campaign because they weren't spammers so if the later turn out to be one, they'll be punished. Nobody is demanding 60 posts from participants, they can write more or less without spamming the forum.

PS: I'm always in support of an increase in payrate per post to reduced the workload and I'll always pass that message to the founder of projects but don't use quantity of post to judge post quality/spam.

526  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Pay attention to bear run without fear. on: November 09, 2023, 11:16:11 PM
I was told that BTC will not live forever, that it will disappear one day until I payed attention to people advice and to my personal research too that gave me the boldness to bear what so ever that will happen, than to make sure I invest #12k in that particular bear run. Hope this decision I made to be investing #12k in BTC monthly is a good decision? I believe using bear run to invest is a good strategy many investors are using to win from their investment.

Nothing will last forever and that's includes the human life but while you're on earth make sure to enjoy your life to the fullest and you fit talk the same things about Bitcoin. No currency has lasted forever but as na Bitcoin turn I go say make we enjoy am well and the only way to enjoy am na to invest into am. Wetin you dey do so na Naira cost average na just like dollars cost average and na very good way to invest in Bitcoin and I go advise make you continue. Provided say you no dey invest more than you can afford to lose you dey alright because e go help you when market they correct and others dey panic, you go dey calm as money wey dey inside the market no be your whole world. I no know how much you dey earn monthly but ₦12k no go be much stress to dey put inside Bitcoin as your savings account.

When it comes to investment like Bitcoin, e get wetin I dey always tell myself. It's better it was a scam that I invested into and lost then when it was legit but I missed the opportunity to make life changing wealth because of fear. You no go fit live with yourself knowing you miss the opportunity to change your life by just having trust in Bitcoin which would have been possible if you had a little patience and did your research. Any amount wey dey you comfortably to Invest is a good amount, no dey follow others suggestions because dem no dey your pocket. No dey use another man pocket to rate your own investment. Everybody get him own line so if na ₦10k, ₦12k, ₦100k wey you fit dey Invest, run am and lock up because time go come when you go smile.
527  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is the devaluation of naira really the problem on: November 09, 2023, 10:45:31 PM
Most Of us Nigerians get it wrong on what is causing our economy instability to move from worst to worst, most of us thinks the naira devaluation is the cause of it which is not true but the devaluation is as a result of some of these factors below which I will give you a clear reason for this, because 1 naira is greater than 1 south Korea won but South Korea has a stable economy and  this reasons include:

Our economy instability is caused by bad governance, everything wey you dun talk all leads to bad governance because if we been get government wey dey work we no for get bad road problems, education problem, bad transportation problems as na the work of the government to put all those things in order but na as we no get a working governments na wetin dey make the economy of the country dey suffer and the devaluation the f the Naira na just the results of all this. I believe persons wey get sense go know say e get reason why the Naira dey fall and no be just say e wan fall. Our country is just for consumption as we no get another reasonable thing wey we dey export. The oil wey we get, we no dey even use am well because if our governments been get sense dem for dun invest well for refinery so na we go dey refine the crude oil, getting other byproducts from it and not exporting oil and begging for fuel.

Quote
Will the increase of the value of naira makes the country ore stable or except this problem is solved our will continue to devaluate?

By now the government supposed dun realize say increasing the value of something or reducing the value of something (when other things that are needed to be done to keep the price of that thing stable isn't been done) no go get any effect. Dem need to learn from the dollar saga, fuel wahala and do things right. If dem do the necessary things the economy go stable and the Naira go rise without the government having to manipulation the price. We need to change the narrative of the country, new need to start to dey export more by increasing our production of some of the things wey we're been known for producing at a low quantity in the country. This one go also increase the job creation for the country and our youths will be employed to work in the factory's that are now been used to increase production in those commodities.
528  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Economy affects Bitcoin investors. on: November 09, 2023, 08:31:01 AM
Some of them way try to invest into Bitcoin earlier and with the help of the kind of strategy way dem dey use they accumulate freely before, now when things dey hard even those people self they find am difficult to accumulate more Bitcoin, e dey hard to get money and e still dey easy to spend am, so me I reason am outside the box say, this our country economy done dey affect the common people way just start to invest into Bitcoin.

As e dey here na so e dey for other places, make we no dey believe wetin we dey read for news or see on social media because when you ask those wey don japa dem go tell you that side no easy too. The worlds economy has been suffering especially after the COVID-19 outbreak wey make many companies dey low on cash flow and come dey sack their workers. Investing in Bitcoin no get any particular amount limitations wey be say if no be so so amount you no go fit invest. Na because we get big eye and we wan dey Invest money wey we no get na why e dey affect us. Your ₦10,000 you fit dey invest am weekly or monthly and e no matter wetin you dey earn, you fit dey commot the least and they accumulating Bitcoin. You no go see the benefits now but for future na when you go happy say you dey take the decision. I dey always tell people wey meet me for advise say use Bitcoin as your savings accounts.

You never survive finish with the business wey him they do or the personal handwork for this our country nah to they put hope for Bitcoin wey be say our country never really accept am. For this our country nah only few people they invest in Bitcoin. People wey be say better money done enter their hand before they even think of to invests in Bitcoin. And OP make you also understand say no be everybody for this our country wey hold Bitcoin be potential investors most of them nah day to day traders or exchanges.

To dey trade or exchange as you talk, you need to Invest first by buying Bitcoin but for the matter of investing, you no need finish with business wey you dey do to invest. That mindset go make you miss many opportunity for life and no be only Bitcoin. I dey this industry when Bitcoin cheap pass like this about ₦400,000 per Bitcoin but then I no too strong sha as I be student and never get work wey dey pay but I dun reason am say even though na ₦10,000 wey I been dey Invest, my story now for dun different. Make we no dey use Bitcoin dey play oh. You dey see that ₦100,000,000 wey people dey think say Bitcoin no for reach that's $100,000 e go just shock us like film as we go reach am pass self. Our country no need to accept Bitcoin before we invest inside, just know our politicians no get our best interest at heart so na for we to look after ourselves.
529  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Best way to invest in Bitcoin on: November 08, 2023, 11:53:36 PM
So many options to buy Bitcoin, you can decide to buy directly through exchange like binance or Coinbase. You can also make use of the Bitcoin focused investment vehicle like a Bitcoin ETF or like Grayscale Bitcoin trust.
One thing you must know when taking a decision to invest in Bitcoin .It's highly speculative investment.  That's why it's more advice able to invest the amount you are comfortable losing.as Bitcoin price go up and down this season by hundred of dollars.

Any methods wey involve say you no own the Bitcoin like you no get full control over the Bitcoin isn't advisable to Invest into Bitcoin that way. Bitcoin ETF aren't Bitcoin and you don't own any Bitcoin when you invest in that way so e no follow for ways wey me go advise to invest besides those things na for institutional investors no be investors like us. Na for people wey no wan go through the process of owing Bitcoin to Invest into the market. If you wan buy Bitcoin you can do that through CEX exchanges, P2P exchange or local marchants that you trust and store your Bitcoin for a open source non custodial wallet like hardware wallets or using an online wallet like Electrum on an airgapped devices like a desktop that has no Bluetooth or wifi connection.

It's also important to diversify your portfolio, so that you're not putting all of your eggs in one basket. This means investing in other assets,

Well said but diversify here no mean say make you go dey invest inside altcoins (only do this if you want to gamble because there's no guarantee when investing into an altcoin and they're more a risk than Bitcoin). Investing into assets wey no dey correlated to Bitcoin like dem no dey depend on Bitcoin to give profits na wetin be diversifying for here. The investment fit be online and offline but me I go advise offline so all your hustle no go dey online Incase anything happens you go always get fall back to investment and some of the popular ones na diversifying by buying lands or landed property like house, shops and soon on. You fit also enter transportation businesses like buying cars and putting dem on the road to drive as Uber, Bot and give you returns weekly. This kind Investment go make sure money dey your hand even in bear market.
530  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin still Bitcoin on: November 08, 2023, 02:36:41 PM
Questions :
  • During the FTX crisis what your belief on bitcoin?  As for me at that time I was not an active member of the forum or know anything about bitcoin and so I believe those false claims

Bitcoin no crash but na centralized exchange crash so our hopes were still in Bitcoin, the crash of FTX no be get anything to do with Bitcoin. The price crash out of panic and unto say we dey bear market wey be say the market dey wait for may negative news to take a dip and that's what FTX with other projects wey crash during dat period cause to just make every where scatter but still the crash no reach other bear market correction wey the market dun get before. We need to understand say any centralized services or project wey dey the industry go fail one day. Dem go either fail from hack or one team member selling out the project. Human being dey greedy and this market no dey regulated so if dem plan am wey dey can get away with most crimes.

Quote
  • Do you think will soon stop using CEX and opt for DEX and non custodian wallet?
.
To be honest, not likely anytime soon but e no mean say e no fit happen. With the way I dey see this industry dey go wey be say everybody just dey ask for regulations, e go increase the need of centralized exchanges and wallet providers because na one of the ways wey the government go fit regulate the industry be dat (by regulating the exchanges and wallets provides wey dey centralization like dem Binance and trust wallet). So if we want DEX to shine wey no suppose dey follow ask for regulation, make we allow the industry dey like this but work on decentralized ways to make the market more secure as scammers just dey feast for this side as na people's wey no know how to handle demselfs full here.
531  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Whats your target of achievement in bitcoin in next year on: November 08, 2023, 02:10:44 PM
Accumulating of bitcoin: this is my first plan in 2024, because I seen that many of us praise bitcoin but we don't have more of bitcoin, why some people from other locals boards have thousands of bitcoin.

Why wait until 2024 before you start accumulating Bitcoin, by 2024 the price should be trading for a higher price than the price it's trading at, in the market because the fomo hasn't kicked in with full force yet but will come due to people not wanting to miss the bull rush that happens before the halving. You have already advise that accumulation should be done when Bitcoin is down which isn't a bad advice so that's what we have to be doing and not waiting until next year.

Start your accumulation now, if you don't have a job to generate income in buying Bitcoin, you can use your signature earnings as your source of accumulating Bitcoin. The money we received from our signature payment shoudn't be used up. Save small as your investment, as little as 10% no go bad, e no matter how small e be but keep aside some and in a long period you for dun get better quantity of Bitcoin to give you better profits when the bull market time dun reach.

No be everybody go fit affordable one Bitcoin so we suppose dey contended with the small one wey we get. If you still dey think say dat small one wey you get no make sense, just wait make the next bull market finish and see wetin the value of that Bitcoin wey you get go be and others mightn't be able to afford it anymore just like most of us can't afford 1BTC dat was very affordable few years back.
532  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hardwork no longer incur success on: November 08, 2023, 04:21:30 AM
Life expectancy for Nigerians dey short because of bad health care and poor environment, we nor need to add stress to am, make we for nor go die quick. While we dey try to make money, we gats focus majorly on finding smartways to make money, not just depending on hardwork, Hardwork alone no longer incurs success.

I think we have had a discussion similar to this although they aren't entirely the same because this is heading towards another direction but both threads are in relation to hardwork and smart work. The main thing wey make hardwork dun dey outdated na say e dey limit your earnings, hardwork wey be physical work go make am you no go fit dey make money from multiple sources and to survive for Nigeria you need multiple sources of income. Hardwork if you ask me na all dis 9-5 works wey be say e dey start by 9 and go end by 5 everyday without giving you the opportunity to do other things. E no matter whether you dey work for person or you dey do your own work, provided say na only hardwork wey you dey dey e go weigh you. Hardwork also include this labourer jobs dem. Even dem dangote get other soft hustle (smart work) wey dem dey do like investing in shares.

By the way, your sig campaign members are writing some of the worst shitposts I've seen in a long time. Both Lightlord and BrainBoss are really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

I try my very best always to stay in line with the rules of the forum and in my business that has to do with managing bounties (the forum isn't against bounties which is exactly what this is). I have a Disclaimer on my profile and on the eloncoin Signature thread for participants of the campaign or other gamblers of not making decisions just because they see my name managing the Campaign. I'm just doing my duty as a bounty manager. This isn't the first altcoin bounty I'm managing as I have manage several in the past. Lightlord isn't a scammer and hasn't scammed anyone for as long as I have worked with him. I have past experiences from working with him that's why I accepted to manage his new project (note I'm just the manager for the campaign).

If you ask for my opinion on altcoins, I see them as a gamble irrespective of which one you're talking about, if you love gambling sure do your research and do as you wish.

As for the spam; I have done my selection properly and didn't hire any known spammer. I know we didn't get the best of users due to the workload and payrate but for what I have to work with, I choose the best with some notable disqualifications;
👉 If you have a red tag, neutral tag for spamming don't bother applying.
👉 If you have an inactive account don't bother applying (first few page of post history still has posts from previous months) and some other criteria not written like posting pattern and the rest.

If anyone is caught spamming (reported or neutral tagged) they'll be removed from the campaign, we have limit of characters (150) for post to be eligible for payment (but spams not included) . We have put in rules to encourage quality discussion and those not following the rules won't be rewarded, you can look at the signature thread, alot of users weren't accepted and won't be accepted even though they keep on reapplying because I'm not accepting everybody but only decent active forum users.

As for the rest of your concerns, I'll leave them for Lightlord to respond.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: November 05, 2023, 02:20:02 AM
If you don't have any experience on business field the. Start from scratch so you would provably know what are important things that needed to take care with in a business.

I have same advice as well because you need experience to be successful at anything that you want to do. If you want to be a renounced business owner, you need your own experience as most of the renounced business owners we know of started with their own businesses. You don't need to have that life breaking success with your business but you need it to have some level of success so you can channel those experience into the new business that you'll be incharge of which you can then buy with the profits you made from selling your first business. With the right knowledge you can hire people that'll make your new business a success even when you don't have the necessary skills needed for succeeding in the new business. Using Elon musk purchase of twitter as a perfect example, he doesn't have experience in social media or not much experience but has experience from making a business successful.

Quote
But if you are well established businessman and can able to plant some on existing business then its good since you don't need to worry on how to market it because they already have establish their own brand. Its up to you on how can you maximize your bought  businesses so that it can generate you more money.

When you have established yourself as a successful business owner no Matthew small, you won't need to do things yourself for your bought business to be successful because you'll be getting partnership knocking on your does from people with the experience and secret of making that particular business successful. People love to associate with successful people and you'll get experience workers to hire and then you get a successful business. You'll use the experiment you have gained from your other business to manage the new business properly. One of the things that makes a business successful depends on your communication skills as you can either motivate your workers with your communication skills or demoralized them and not make them productive which results in your business failing.

Hodling bitcoin might be less risky compared to investing in unreliable centralized projects but it takes a lot of patience and faith in bitcoin for you to be able to hold bitcoin for long term without struggling from panic selling whenever bitcoin price drops so deeply. That is why even if hodling sounded so easy, a lot of bitcoin investors still end up quitting and decide to sell their coins early because they can’t stand the price volatility in the market.

The reason for that is because they're investing more than their limit, one of the most spoken advice in the community is to not invest more than you can afford to lose but many investors invest more than they can lose and this makes Hodling difficult for them. If you're holding only your spare money in Bitcoin as it's advice then you can hodl for as long as you want because there won't be need to be scared of the market crashing and when the market crash, you won't be panicking because you know if you lose the money invested, it won't affect you much and you can hodl for the market to recover. As a hodler, you should already know the history of Bitcoin as to how the price has crashed and rise back up. This should be able to give you more courage to continue Hodling and not be tempted to sell your Bitcoin because the price is declining.

An investor with a limited fund don't have to be waiting but divide part of the fund and take the risk and invest into other projects provided he can afford to take the risk, there's only two possibilities in that decision, either he makes success or fail. And if he fails he gained experience for another future investment trial again.

Before alot of experience investors have come out to tell us that hodling is the best way to invest in Bitcoin, you should have known that they have tried other strategy before coming to this conclusion. There's a cycle that happens every bear to bull market, new investora comes into the market and think they know better than the old investors. Now you're thinking you have to try your luck in different tokens hoping you make profits from one, what you're doing is gambling and not investing. Why waste your time trying different options when you can invest in a guarantee positive outcome which is Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin shoudn't be your main source of income, you should have other things that gives you money for upkeep so you can comfortably invest in Bitcoin and have the patience to hodl. Diversifying into other altcoins is a gamble and that's not how to diversify as you don't invest in correlated assets when you're diversifying.

I went through those stress to also learn how to analyze and also to know bullish and bearish moves ,to know when the market is trending and choppy but after all these processes and following those strategies I will still loose my capital . However, my question here is ' what is the best strategy to trade without losing my initial capital ?.

I don't understand what you mean by knowing when the market is trending because that isn't something that's hidden that you need to learn. When we're in a bullish market, it's very obvious as everything will by pumping even projects that are as bad as nothing like memecoins will be pumping. You were too invested in making profits and you thought trading will give you that very quickly as maybe the person that introduced you to the market told you but he forgets that not everybody that's a trader makes profit.

Statistically, we have more people losing than making profit because they don't understand the market or didn't get the proper orientation before they started trading like you. The best way to invest is by Hodling and not trading. It seems you haven't learnt your lesson because I see you still want to go back to trading with the questions you're asking. Since you lost your capital (which isn't something that's new as new traders has the tendency to lose their first capitals) and you said you have had a change of mind, I was thinking you wanted to shift your attention form trading to investing and you're seeking for assistance.

I'll suggest you try DCA strategy instead trading as you look to accumulate Bitcoin now that the price is cheap to afford a whole Bitcoin as the bull market is around the corner and the price of Bitcoin won't be as low as it's trading. Learn trading when you have settled down and understood the industry well not at the start of your journey.

Hi
Is it possible to receive Bitcoin on BNB?
Yes, they do and not only Binance smart chain, you can receive them on any other blockchain that support it. I think Tron chain support it, ethereum support it, Solana support it and even Matic chain support bitcoin. However, they are not native bitcoin, they are tokens mint on chains to mimic the characteristics or bitcoin and they are redeemable to real bitcoin, for every mint toke of btc on the chain, there is equivalent real bitcoin locked on the protocol where the coin can be convert between the real bitcoin and the btc token(fake bitcoin).

I would had prefers you started your statement with a NO because you can't receive Bitcoin on those other Blockchain so newbie reading your reply don't misunderstand it. Just as you later said what they're receiving isn't Bitcoin. Anything that isn't sent on the Bitcoin blockchain isn't Bitcoin but a tokenized version of Bitcoin on whatever Blockchain they're operating on. I don't support using this tokens because they're inflating the supply of Bitcoin as there's no way to verify if they're really backed by a real Bitcoin. Binance or other exchange can just come up with a token called Bitcoin with any supply and be trading it on their exchange but there's no proof that they hold that same nnumber of real Bitcoin so we shouldn't believe them. Beside those tokenizing Bitcoin are looking for activities on their blockchain to help promote it and it does no benefits to the main Bitcoin.

Just checked this is not Bitcoin from the Binance Version, Total Transfer is 570 with a holder of 300 addresses this is definitely a scam token. Beware dont approve any contract with this token.

This is why we shouldn't be dealing with anything called Bitcoin that isn't on the Bitcoin blockchain, scammers can name any token Bitcoin and use them in defraud their victim as they have done to this user. This should serve as a warning, don't even accept to deal them as they can stopped been pegged to Bitcoin at any moment but the real Bitcoin will always be Bitcoin. If you're transacting with those pegged/tokenized Bitcoin just know you're not operating with the real Bitcoin but an altcoin so you'll be expectant of anything that happens.
540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 03, 2023, 09:02:17 PM
I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.

Just as others have said, there has been countless advertisment for Bitcoin but they aren't directly from Bitcoin itself but from the community. Bitcoin has always been advertise by the community and that's why the community has grown to the level it is today. There has been adverts by projects and companies in the industry especial the centralized companies like exchange that has been dominating the ads industry of recent. The ads might have other intentions but they also promote Bitcoin to the masses.

There has been adverts from news media when they report about Bitcoin itself or events relating to Bitcoin like exchange hacks, collapse or profits made from trading Bitcoin. The community also advertise Bitcoin to their friends so Bitcoin has always enjoyed free adverts that it didn't pay for or know that it's going on. Bitcoin casinos also advertise Bitcoin when they buy ad in sports games or get into partnership with sport clubs that display Bitcoin logos.

The government has been one of the main promoters of Bitcoin without knowing as when they're taking negativity about Bitcoin, they're still promoting Bitcoin as more people (who are potential investors) get to hear and know about Bitcoin from those negative attack that gets lots of media attentions.
