Congratulations to the Dash community, over the past 3 years there has great progress. I check in on Dash periodically and it is one of the few communities that has delivered. While the price is exciting, of real interest is the technology that is being built. Sadly there seems to still be people that try to twist what happened at the beginning. So like someone else that recently posted I thought I would admit to my early involvement with Dash. I recently stumbled upon one of my old empty Xcoin wallets so it seemed like a good time to show what it was like in the beginning. Dash was easy to mine and anyone could have picked up a lot at the beginning, I know because I did. Though because my obsession was with mining I let this long term opportunity pass me by. I sold a lot to cover my Amazon bills, kept some for a bit and even had some masternodes for a while. So while this coin looked very promising the mining bug hit me again so I sold the rest a while back. I happily profited in the end but of course it is hard to not look back at what I could have had. So yes, I was one of those Amazon miners that people complained about early on. Here are my January and February 2014 bills:   That buys a lot of hours of mining time, here is how many hours I racked up in January:  My peak was over 2000 hours of EC2 time across various instances on February 8th. That included various smaller instance types, not just the large cc2.8xlarge's. It fluctuated day by day because I was using Spot instances and sometimes was getting out bid so my instances would get terminated. I could not find my original solo mining wallets as I moved those coins and deleted them but I did find one of my early ones. You will however be able to look at the quarterly expense reports to see how much of the funds were used so far. You mean donations in other coins other then btc and tpay btc or tpay is cool, I think they only take Dot coin for services. Whatever is good for everyone is fine. Just trying to help with another exchange. I don't think donations in tpay would be wise, the market cap is around 10k, 0.5 btc is alot of tpay...if marketcap goes up after it gets listed to lets say 100k which is pretty easy in crypto as we know...they'd made tons of profit, they'd have to sell all that too. I think that many people are buying VIDZ to use to swap for NOVUS because at this price it is better to use the VIDZ (1.5X swaps) rather than the BTC.
I see no other reason for all these high buy orders.

Even if a miracle happens and they turn out to be honest which I highly doubt, buying back the BTC now they probably lost quite abit of BTC especially if they sold the ICO BTC months back when it was around 700-750$. Why didn't Alty being the project manager review these retards performance and progress over the last 8 months? Seriously after hundreds of thousands of dollars and 8 months of fuck all, they now figured out him and his cronies are idiots...not buying it. Nothing personal but I believe Alty is behind this entire scam, it was his idea for sure. Just like there was Darkcoin with anon tech a few years back, Alty created Cloakcoin. Another anon coin trying to steal Darkcoin thunder (Dash), it looked promising but it was all smoke and mirrors. (cloak coin was taken over by the community after Alty jumped ship). Now Rise is exactly the same. Lisk came out and the hype was insane, with all the money collected from it's ICO...Alty saw another opportunity to scam and Rise comes out similar to Lisk but even better. (Alty had other coins before Cloakcoin...all pump and dump scams) Every coin Alty (Cormac lucking, if that's his real name) has scam written all over it. This one didn't need a pump and dump scheme, the ICO funds are much more lucrative and easier to collect. I believe Rise will be taken over by the community but no the ICO funds left. |

I agree this is 100% a fail/scam and funds should be returned!! But then there is the issue that really the ICO investors should receive the £££ and many have sold for a 50-95% loss!!!! anyway thats very unlikely to happen as scammers dont return ££$$!!

Ive seen it happen only once (TXTcoinsnow, on the NXT AE), a few years ago. It was necassary due to legal issues with an existing bricks n mortar company. Was a nightmare for Bas Wisselink to sort out. I rarely use the word scammer/scam to describe people. I believe it lets the incompetents off the hook. Scammer, thief better term for these guys. Being incompetent makes these guys look honest...in no way these guys were incompetent, I believe this was well planned out and I strongly believe Alty is behind it or getting well paid for his scamming techniques. |
