521  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scott Walker shocks Republican race with dropout call to gang up on Trump on: September 22, 2015, 06:23:02 AM
I don't completely understand Walker's logic. Having fewer candidates doesn't take share of polls away from Trump. It's not like Walker had some huge share of the poll that can now be redirected to Trump's largest competitor. The truth is Walker became irrelevant in this election, so he dropped out. This excuse is just a way to put a positive blanket over the reality of his 2016 Presidential bid funeral casket.

It's hilarious that Trump has so much of the poll right now. The only benefit is that he's allowing the American people to send a strong message that politicians need to quit their usual bullshit and bring more to the table - a position, a side, solutions, etc.

Meanwhile on the Democrat side....crickets.

The car does not have diplomatic immunity.

Ha, yeah, but does the property of the diplomats remain untouchable?

The reality is shit like this happening should not be excused away for diplomatic immunity, or any reason. The neighborhood could make that families life very difficult if they wanted to. Sometimes that's what needs to happen to get the proper authorities to respond. Imagine if a few thousand people protested out side the house - a peaceful sit-in of sorts. The news crews would show up, find out who the diplomat is, cause embarrassment for that person and their country...

Shaming someone into better behaviour is still possible...

Bestest idea ever. Honor is still a very precious commodity for them and their family name.

I feel sad for that LaFerrari though. No respect at all. That thing was in pain at the end of the video...

 Sad

Thanks. Ostracizing people for really obnoxious behaviour has effects to last a lifetime!
523  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New BTC User here! on: September 17, 2015, 08:29:13 PM
Welcome to Bitcoin and the Forum!

The best, easiest, fastes way to acquire bitcoin is to buy it with fiat currency. Coinbase makes this procesquite easy! If you intend to be a long term holder, consider buyingbthe same amount each paycheck. You'll slowly build your account and you'll average out your cost.

So get to work doing whatever you do and buy some BTC!

PS, if you want a great faucet for some gambling fun check out my profile for a link.

Cheers.
524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: for newbies signature campaign 2015 on: September 17, 2015, 08:19:06 PM
Is there a new signature campaign for newbies  ?

How much time did you spend looking for the answer before posting this?

I don't think you're ready for a signature campaign, you can't make constructive posts!
525  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which presidential candidates are accepting bitcoin? on: September 17, 2015, 08:14:30 AM
Which american presidential candidates are accepting bitcoin?

All of them, i'm sure. They just don't bother to advertise it. If you sent any one of these guys or girls a wallet with currency on it, they'd take it.

By the way, which candidate do you want to send the Bitcoin to?

Allow me to be your escrow...
526  Other / Politics & Society / Re: United States has around 800 military bases in foreign countries on: September 17, 2015, 08:11:53 AM
They are trying to control and take as much resurces as they can.

It's the countrys' way of colonializing and taki g over a single country. Example for this is my own country. I personally don't like the idea of the Americans being here pretending they will bring support and all but behind all this is their agenda to control or worst take over the government and people.

This is pretty bold and completely untrue. The US gov't doesn't take resources (otherwise they wouldn't be in so much debt!) US and foreign corporations take resources, which aligns with their purpose as a business.

If the host countries don't like they could always tell the US to piss off - we don't want your trade deals, your protection, your import tariff payments, etc. The fact is that other governments enjoy perks from these deals. The foreign citizens don't, but the governments do.

I think it's pretty f'd up that the US has bases every where, it often breeds resentment for the US from the people that end up growing up in the shadow of these bases or war ships.

Why don't other countries tell the US no? -Think about that seriously...
527  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How did Americans get so damn stupid? on: September 17, 2015, 08:08:01 AM
What are you talking about specifically?

It's easy to have a few interactions with a few people and generate a perception that's just not right. There are plenty of smart Americans, after all they invented the internet and likely engineered the computer you're using to make this post and your iPhone and your Facebook and your Google and your Amazon and your Paypal and...

What shitty experience did you have? Share so we can join you in the "yeah...that's fucking stupid" talk!
528  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 14 year old Muslim teen gets illegally detained in Texas for homemade clock on: September 17, 2015, 08:05:02 AM
Hillbillies  Cheesy

How could anyone believe that a sharia court is in Texas? We all know that only happens in Kentucky.

Haha, I like the quick opportunity to poke fun at Kim Davis even if it's completely unrelated.

This story is kind of messed up. I've seen pictures of the gadget, the clock, it looks like a bomb. It's in a suitcase with circuit boards and wires! What doesn't pass the test is the fact that this is high school kid. The arrest was completely uncalled for, strong action or concern would not be.

It's not like the kid was resisting the authority attention or something - he didn't try to "get away" when someone asked him questions. He wasn't saying threatening things. The school escalated things inappropriately. The police didn't think through the reality of the facts.

Police deserve the scrutiny because they are (and must always) being held to a higher standard because they are given a higher authority than average citizens.

Haven't you shared this with us all before, recently?

This video isn't nearly as good as other videos out there or (more importantly) the What is Bitcoin explanations on this very Forum!
531  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Amount of investement needed to open a faucet ? on: September 17, 2015, 07:52:17 AM
Start up costs and operating costs are going to be arrived at differently.

Start up costs are going to involve your GD and website design, advertising, etc. I can help you with this but it would be best to discuss via PM.

Operating costs are largely going to involve hosting fees, faucet management fees, and the house's bank. You need to be able to cover all the "bets" or "rolls" made any given day and that can be hard to determine and the swings could leave you in a bind. Estimating these numbers are relatively easy though - I like to use the freebitco.in data on volume and payouts to estimate how much the daily or weekly financial obligation would be for payouts.

Good luck and let us know what you put together, i'll give it a try!
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Google Sunroof change the way mining takes place ? on: September 17, 2015, 01:46:50 AM
No.

Mining requires electricity. That electricity should be bought or acquired for the lowest price possible. If solar energy is cheap people should use it! If people who have solar and mine arem't using thrir solar, they're idiots!

Is Google making it cheaper to get solar, a lot cheaper? Probably not... But it's great that they're in the energy game.
533  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Study: Everyone hates environmentalists and feminists on: September 16, 2015, 06:25:05 AM

Why don’t people behave in more environmentally friendly ways? New research presents one uncomfortable answer: They don’t want to be associated with environmentalists.

Your research is wrong, plenty of people enjoy the company of environmentalists and/or feminists (as long as they're not trying to love or castrate me!)
534  Other / Politics & Society / Syrian refugees flea Syria, ISIS gets it's country on: September 16, 2015, 06:22:29 AM
Am i crazy in think that if Syrians flee Syria that ISIS will get the country they're fighting for? This is unfortunate...

Call me crazy (if it's deserved)
535  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Fed hike rates? Should it? on: September 16, 2015, 06:10:57 AM
I contend that positive real interest rates in general are a good thing.  Without positive rates, investors will not invest for the long-term.  They will speculate, especially re asset prices (stocks, bonds and real estate).

Invest in what, exactly, for the long term?

Plenty of people are investing in stocks for the long term, hence the steady growth over the last few years.

I don't think the Fed will raise rates this week, only because China devalued it's currency recently (that's the only reason). What's good is that people have been anticipating a rate hike for so long that it's likely already priced into the current levels. There would be a small movement but not a crash.
536  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Vote] Who did 911? on: September 16, 2015, 06:07:30 AM
THIS IS 9/11 IN A NUTSHELL
DID JOHN EAT THE SPRINKLES..THERE IS NO ACTUAL PROOF..DID ANYONE SEE HIM DO IT..
ANSWER NO Grin Grin
DO YOU THINK HE DID EAT THE SPRINKLES..I THINK HE DID..
WELL THIS IS WHAT 9/11 IS LIKE THE EVIDENCE IS THERE..
THERE IS NO ACTUAL PROOF AND THIS KID COULD BE TELLING THE TRUTH..
SOMEONE COULD OF CLIMBED THREW IS WINDOW AND RUBBED SOME IN THE KIDS FACE..

WATCH VIDEO AND MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP..GUILTY OR NOT GUILTY..
I COULD COME UP WITH MANY MANY STORIES TO SAY WHY I THINK THIS KID IS NOT GUILTY..
BUT I LET YOU BE THE JUDGE Grin Grin
www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9Y69p1Lx48

AND THIS IS THE SAME AS 9/11

Or watch the truther video and then realize that the only explanation that's ever been publicly told has tons of proof and evidence and support and logic to make it, well, the truth.

That's what baffles me the most. There's fact and proof of how it happened, Atta and crew. Yet some of you insist on ignoring those facts to pursue some fantasy version. I guess it makes a boring life more interesting?
537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: introduction on: September 16, 2015, 06:01:19 AM
yes, you are right about rates,
but I think bitcoin will increase again and up to the moon again..

What does to the moon mean? Thank you all for welcoming me into the community, I hope to become a valuable member in the future!

It's a phrase that people who are bullish on Bitcoin say to articulate how much growth potential they think bitcoin has. The price will go so high it'll reach the moon.

Another term is "hodl" or "hodling", which is the same as "hold" or "holding" or keeping your bitcoin for a long time (until it goes to the moon). Someone misspelled hold once on this forum and it stuck.

Have you picked up any bitcoin yet?

If not, check out my profile for a link to my favorite faucet.
538  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "I Have Not Taken A Shower In Over 12 Years..." on: September 16, 2015, 05:53:39 AM
They make a good point - by showering daily, we are not letting our immune system build itself up.

What?! The immune system lies largely (if not entirely) inside he body...not the outside.

Fools.  Your great great great grandparents -never- "showered".  Nor did they ever use "toilet paper".

Appreciate the luxuries you have, for they ARE luxuries.

Luxuries indeed, no one needs this stuff, but our gransparents probably smelled more too.
539  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 15.9 international day of democracy, black humor on chinese newspaper on: September 16, 2015, 05:51:37 AM
I don't get it. So the joke is that democracy isn't legal in China so any comment on the international day of democracy would need to be censored (hence the all black page)?
540  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What would you tell your daughter, Mr. Xi? on: September 16, 2015, 05:50:02 AM
up

Haha, no responses so you gave yourself a reply to move it to the top of the list? Clever? Maybe Mr. Xi doesn't frequent this forum. Also, the picture you tried to add didn't come through.

The question I have for you is why do we care about any of this? Why should read all of this? Can you give us a summary to respond to?

Cheers.

are you satisfied?

Satisfied with what? Your choice of poetry or the actual question for this thread? I think i'm still waiting....
