There is a process to applying to be a merit source that has to be followed. One of which you missed out is providing ten quality post which you deem worth of merits, it tells of you ability to determine which posts to award merits to. If you want to be a merit source:
1. Be a somewhat established member. 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully. 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.
I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections.
I do not believe links to your personal forums would matter. You should be a somewhat established member here on bitcointalk. I believe he's somewhat established member
I didn't state otherwise, only that I don't think expertise somewhere else would matter here. I am very open to every rank becoming merit sources as I think it expresses inclusion, especially of lower ranked users. Good luck, @TheWolf666 on your application.

The introdiction of trust flags (which is solely for scam cases) means that the previous trust system now serves to define the general trustworthiness of a member, which can have various interpretations. I would agree that it had been misused in the past, which k believe is one of the reasons flags were introduced in the first place.

I do not write get while majority are viewing algeriayas the under dogs, they have been brilliant so far in this tournament, arguably the best team up till this point. And they are also more successful than Senegal in previous AFCON competitions. It would be a tight match, and also a great watch.

That's a very subjective question, and could be better put as what is YOUR best decentralized exchange in the cryptocurrency world. People have different reasons for visiting different exchanges. I personally prefer to use forkdelta irrespective of the hitches in the system it has specific features which I desire.

From my point of view the Bitcoin community seem to be stagnant, without any real targets set. What are the targets you want Bitcoin to have?
I would not say the community is stagnant, it has been constantly evolving over they years with new players getting involved as the currency matures. It's a collection of different people with different objectives. I'm my opinion, majority are in now for the volatility and potential to increase, hence we have long term hodlers. My target for Bitcoin would be it becoming a stable store of value, and possibly used for national reserves.

Regulation is becoming a huge part of cryptocurrency. The blockchain offers anonymity but governments desire control and hence out regulations in place. This also affects gambling sites which use cryptocurrency. To comply with constitutional laws they have to run KYC checks on some withdrawals (usually above a certain range)

My suspicions were correct, Breaking News: Nigeria captain Mikel Obi confirms international retirement.
He would go down as one of the treats to play the game for the super eagles. Although there are those who believe he did not reach his full potential, from the platform of the juniour world cup and Olympics. But he has been committed all through, and won for both club and country. We wish him luck in all future endeavours.

Congratulations on your extra medal. Achieving hero member status from scratch is not an easy task, it shows how much you've out into the forum and impacting others. Congratulations also on the other perks and positions you picked up along the way.

Everyone should adopt the attitude of that you have to work in order to o earn. You do not automatically double or triple your money. Greed is a tool that has been used through various medias. We could also report suspicious accounts and websites, j found this link: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/I believe it comes with a warning flag similar to what we have with the trust flags. This would help protect newbies from such scams

Salah will be envious but the pressure's good for him.
I do not think envious is the right word, sure he regrets not going further in the tournament and losing on home soil, but I believe he would rather a team mate/friend won it and would celebrate with him. We may never know his reaction as my money is on the Algerians to take this one home.

All they have to sell, is their previous success rate, and if they can indeed prove it. Of course this does not mean that they would always be right, but if you are going to go with 'tips' you should go with one that is more often right. This of course would increase the price of their service.

I'm not certain, but I'd take a wild guess that it may have something to do with ad space. The system may have generated an ad for that thread, hence why it still shows up. Only admins can answer if it can actually be removed totally.

Senegal surely is in a better form to do that. Algeria has struggled all the way through and the semis too were a close call.
Algeria certainly have not struggled all the way through, they have had some tough matches like every other team. They are the highest scoring team and have conceded the fewest goals. They also play a very open and fluid type of football. Senegal has also been impressive. It'd be a tough fixture, but I would be backing the North Africans.

Yes. Even as far back as from 2011.
Members should be sensitized on what constitutes a 'good report', then most of the effort wasted in reporting inactive threads, could be used in cleaning up spam from the forum. The merit badges was a good initiative and if properly managed it could help combat spamming. This is a useful [Guide] on effective reporting.

In addition it would also make it more difficult for one to get merits if others have to scroll down to get posts which haven't been merited. There is a merit stat page which allows users check the most merited posts/replies, it's not a robust system, but it's good for now without the admins changing up the system.

if you need any app badly find their website and download from original source, beware
The website may also be compromised and is not an assurance that the app is safe. Do not allow apps direct permissions into your personal files. Have an updated virus/malware protection software. Verify any app you download from ANY source.

Or as other have written maybe some amount of Merits are needed to give feedback .
The forum is already very dependent on the merit system, making it a necessity for a member to give a feedback on another doesn't seem fair. If they are not on DT or a users' personal trust list, their feedback does not count, so it's not much of an issue. As for the advertising, from earlier replies the OP was not meant to be an ad, but a poorly organized defense against spam accusations, also it's not like anyone goes to trust pages to look for recommendations on products or services. But it could be used to trick one to a malicious website, so mods could make an exception remove such feedbacks if it becomes a trend.
