So India done and dusted at 307, what a fightback from India, Jurel-Kuldeep partnership brought back India in the game, Kuldeep shown a good defense making 28 from 138 balls, way he got out was bit unlucky too, anyway that just made Anderson close to his 700 wickets milestone. What a batting by Dhruv, he exceeded all expectations, in prior couple innings he fell short to fifty and I was happy seeing him getting fifty this time around but then he goes on to make 90, just a little short from century.

Now, India is trailing by 46 runs, they'll be happy with it.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 25, 2024, 04:22:14 AM
At the moment India is trailing by 135 runs, 1 wicket falls from here and it'll be inning done, idk about Akash Deep but Siraj can't bat, has it been Bumrah he could hold his wicket or could bat aggressive and get quick 10-20 runs, we already saw how it turned out for England in last three wickets, 347-7 and 353 all out.

England will give 100+ runs lead IMO, let's see how it goes.
This is the most probable outcome considering the fact that Jurel and Kuldeep will be facing a new ball. Everyone keeps praising Root a lot, but the true game-changer for me was Bashir who came out of nowhere. He has serious potential.

I still think India has a good chance of winning since England can collapse for a small score in the 2nd innings.

I'd still praise Root because he was the one who brought England to the defendable target, without a good score to defend bowlers would have likely come under pressure and may not have performed as they did.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 24, 2024, 11:48:39 AM
England's spinners bowled beautifully but NGL I am pissed at the quality of umpiring in this match, there is no consistency with the umpires. When Indians were bowling umpire hesitated to raise their fingers and even when it was straightforward LBW. In contrast, they were itching to raise their fingers when Indians were batting. 3 umpires call and 2 LBW calls came when it was brushing the stumps and looked not out to the naked eye. Call it luck or whatever but the 90% of decisions went against India.

I'm sure Stokes would have no problem with umpires call today Grin

Anyway, I also feel umpires call should be removed, let ball tracking decide, either it hits the stump or it don't.

Hilarious seeing people think England already won the ongoing test just because India is struggling at the moment. This match is far from over. Jurel and Kuldeep are playing well together and it looks like they might end up trailing them by 50-100 runs.

This is clearly a spinners surface due to which Bashir, Hartley and Jadeja bowled really well. Jadeja, Ashwin and Kuldeep could be dangerous in the 2nd innings.

Patidar plays carefully to not get out and gets out anyway and his worst fears of performing poorly comes true. He has one inning left, he should try playing aggressive, as playing slow doesn't seem to work for him, and he has nothing to lose anymore anyway because the way he has performed until now he's going to warm the bench.

Just now, Jadeja goes for 12 runs on hands of Bashir at silly point. Silly point gotta love the name, whenever batters see opposition placing someone at this position, batter should go full aggressive mode that opposition forget to put anyone there. I tell you, words don't do justice what I mean by going aggressive here.

Shit! This mini collapse going to hurt and might cost us a match.

I wouldn't have minded 3-4 wickets by the end of the day but we have a full session to go and already lost 4 wickets. Need a wicketless session at any cost otherwise, Poms are looking at a very healthy lead and potentially 2-2.

I want England to win the match, so 5th match have meaning.

The match might look in balance but the Indian team could go into depression if England managed to cross 350 or touch the 400 mark. Indian batters are in form and one could expect good response from them but we shouldn't forget it's a very inexperienced batting lineup.

This tbh; Indian players are good no doubt but they come under pressure easily, forget their skills and lose. This was apparent even in u-19 wc, irrelevant but I felt like saying it anyway, it's in roots.

548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 23, 2024, 01:28:08 PM
England are putting up a decent fight at the moment courtesy of Root who clearly stopped forcing himself to use the Bazball approach which turned out to be the right decision because Bazball is overrated.

I would not call it overrated, it worked for Duckett in one of prior matches. But, to some like root, it just doesn't suit, better stick with what works for them.

Yes, Siraj was expensive early on but you look on overall economy, no? Inning haven't finished yet and his ER is already coming on par with other bowlers. Also, both wickets he took were important (Foakes and Hartley), although I don't think those were peachy deliveries — the ball Hartley got out on looked beauty at first but in slow motion replay, it rather looked liked Hartley didn't judge ball proper.

The wicket of Foakes was important. I agree. But what about Hartley? We are talking about a lower order batsman. Anyway, England has reasons to be happy. Crossing the 300 mark itself is a big achievement, and they still have 3 wickets remaining. If they can get past 350, then the Indian dressing room will be quiet. And don't forget the fact that England won the first test. So far in this series, the team batting first have won everytime. Things will be a bit more clear by end of the day's play tomorrow.

Hartley can bat, and with Root on other side, they could musher up big partnership and be a headache as Foakes-Root partnership. Whether England can cross 350 will largely depend on how long current pair remains on crease, as one them gets out, it'll be game over for England as neither Anderson or Bashir can bat.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 23, 2024, 12:32:17 PM
Joe Root is still there and we can expect England to reach at least 350 in the first innings, if there are no miracles from the Indian bowlers. Personally I believe that the Indian selectors did a blunder here, by allowing two seamers in the playing XI. Also, if there need to be two seamers, then I would have rather gone for Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar, rather than going for the useless Mohammed Siraj. Siraj picked up two wickets, but he was very expensive early on. And now Indians need to deal with the 8th wicket partnership between Joe Root and Ollie Robinson. They have already added 62 runs till now. These are very valuable contributions.

Bairstow looked good as he ever did until he once again went for a sweep shot, and got out . Root is looking in touch too, he's refraining from risky shots and it's serving him well, as he just completes his fifty.

Akash Deep has taken 3 wickets, but I'm not that impressed if I'm being honest, will reserve my judgement until he plays few more matches.

IPL 2024 schedule is partially out and it looks like it's CSK vs RCB weirdly instead of CSK vs GT on March 22 which is the opening match. Excited to watch Dhoni vs Kohli once again and the venue is somewhere in India.

Venue is Chepauk, Chennai.

Yea, I don't get it either why they choose RCB as opponent instead of GT, may be it's due to stardom of Kohli, Gujarat don't have any star players.

Also, T20 wc teaser is out.

Surprisingly Jimmy playing back to back tests, makes sense because for them series is on the line and they'd like to see 2-2 after 4th test match.
Why would that be a surprise for Anderson to play another match?
Well, Grandpa is about to turn 42 soon. Already featured in 2 back to back test matches and playing 3rd on the trot. He bowled 73 overs in the last 2 test matches and 38 overs came in the last test.

In contrast, Bumrah is 30 yo and bowled almost 81 overs in the last 3 tests and taking a break.

Fair enough, he's shy of 4 wickets from coveted 700 wickets milestone, that might be the reason he's going to continue in 4th test.

Also, I'm seeing rain might spoil the match tomorrow.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 22, 2024, 10:33:58 AM
I'm hearing Shami has been ruled out of IPL 2024, if it's real news then it's mighty blow to Titans and this lowers their probability to win trophy significantly, or should I say to get into qualifiers.

Hardik gone, Inexperienced captain (i.e, Gill) and now Shami.

If he does get replaced then I am not sure who will be picked as he was selected based on him being a specialist.

Patidar can be replaced with Devdutt Paddikal.

As usual, Indians are too shy to announce their team and looking for good muhrat but Poms rolled a dice already.

Two changes as expected, Bairstow did nothing in 6 innings so swapping with Robison is expected and Basir look more in control while bowling while Rehan ahmed is throwing all over the pitch.

Robinson and Bairstow both are there, Robinson is replacement for Mark Wood, and on England's spinners tbh, I do not find either of them that good.

India doesn't need to announce the playing XI before the toss and if Eng do then it's their choice. Smiley

True, India usually announce playing XI on toss, and it's more reliable that way, avoids last minute changes.

My review of l0tt0.com:

Login/Register:

Only requires email. You enter email address and you are sent login link to entered email, I personally find it convenient than using email+password combo.

User Interface:

Site is minimalist compared to other casino sites I have visited, having less games available may be adding to the minimalist factor, however I'd expect Lotto devs to continue to retain the minimalist design even with addition of more games.

Aside from that, site works smooth on mobile devices, which is quite rare feat as most casino websites tend to look cluttered when viewed on mobile.

Using the casino:

Handful of games available, and nothing for sports bettors. I expected more content (for lack of better word).

I played couple games, you can bet with even 1 satoshi, that's definitely a plus. However it'd be nice if bettor is asked for confirmation when bet value is set to max.

Deposit/Withdraw:

None, as I did not deposit and amount I had was less than I could withdraw but interface seemed straightforward and I do not expect any troubles there.

Though, I wish there were more cryptocurrencies available to deposit and withdraw, Bitcoin congestion is less since last few weeks but imagine if someone wanted play on L0tt0 and Bitcoin network was congested, they would simply move elsewhere where cheaper options are available.

Bugs encountered:

Copy button does not work next to Bitcoin address on deposit page, even though you see page pop-up, 'copied' — address is not copied. View Qr code doesn't work either (https://www.talkimg.com/image/Yf2yo).

It's not a big deal per se, because you can copy address normally as we used to prior this copy button was invented (i.e, moving cursor around and copying), but it has potential to cause mishap. For example, you think you copied the l0tt0 deposit address but in reality, it was unsuccessful and you still have different address in your clipboard and if you send funds they are sent to different address instead of L0tt0's BTC address.

Miscellaneous:

- Custom fee option — I don't trust automatic fee, I'd like to customize on my own using my own sources.

- Allow to be anonymous on game history page.

To summarise:

Pros:

- Easy login/register

- Minimalist interface that works smooth on mobile

- Minimum amount to bet 1 satoshi

Cons:

- Low number of games available

- Only Bitcoin available as supported crypto

All users who deployed NFT on Base, zora or Ethereum network are eligible for airdrop.

I have NFT deployed on Zora, they didn't reward me, may be because no one bought it. Lol.

I did not understand the criteria that guided the Optimism team when distributing the next one airdrop, but only 20 thousand participants fell under this distribution. And although I did not do anything specifically to receive this airdrop, I deployed collections of NFT in the Base, Linea and Zora networks as activities to receive airdrop in these networks, but I did not fall under airdrop Optimism, although I bought my NFT from other accounts.

Afaik only popular nft's were rewarded, i.e, the deployed nfts which had good number of mints, merely deploying nft or having few mints on it didn't make one eligible for airdrop.

Look here: https://community.optimism.io/docs/governance/airdrop-4/#airdrop-4-allocations

Even if you minted your own nft from other address and that made you eligible but if the allocation was less than 20 $OP, you were excluded.

Jasprit Bhumrah might be not playing in the fourth test match as he has already bowled more than 80 overs and need a rest. The probable replacement for him would be either Mukesh Kumar or Arshdeep Singh. Mukesh Kumar was give a chance earlier in the series but he failed to impress. Arshdeep Singh is likely to be given an opportunity in the fourth test match. KL Rahul will be joining the team in the fourth test so most probably Patidar would be rested. He also failed to impress with his bat in two test matches. I don't think he would get another call from the selectors after his poor performance with the bat in this test series.

Arshdeep isn't even in squad, I assume you are mistaking Akash deep for Arshdeep. Patidar has been fail so far, and Rahul is still not available so Devdutt Paddikal may be given spot.

^^^ Luck for Patidar, but do you think Padikkal has chance to replace him? Resting Bumrah is boon for Stokes. I'd like to see Akash Deep instead of Mukesh kumar in playing 11 if they go with 2 seamers. England has chance to level the series just because Bumrah isn't there.

And the news has unfold about Virat's absence, i'm sure you know.

If Bumrah is not there, then I would like India to go with just one pacer. And I don't want Siraj in the team. He is struggling continuously (although in the last match he managed to pick some of the wickets from the lower order). Mukesh Kumar or Akash Deep can be given the chance instead. Meanwhile Sarfaraz will be on a high, as his test average now stands at 130 (with a strike rate of 94). The next two matches will represent an ideal opportunity to cement his place in the test squad (probably at the expense of Shreyas Iyer).

If they go with 1 seamer, then that 1 seamer is definitely going to be Siraj. Mukesh performed so poor in one of previous test he played that I don't think he will be given chance as sole seamer again, Akash Deep I have got no idea, it's just for curiosity purposes I want him to play, but obviously they won't make maiden debutant sole seamer either.

Regarding, Sarfraz, he's defintely better test player than Iyer.
