NOOB question:

I use managed miner with IP (like: 192.168.15.XX)
I am trying to use host becouse sometimes my RIP IP's changes (In this example, my host is: FOR003).

But using hiveos, the AM does not conect using host. Only using IP adreess works..

Is there something special to write on AM to work?

Example:

Remote Agent IP or Hostname: 192.168.15.XX (Works)
Remote Agent IP or Hostname: FOR003 (does not work)

Can anyone helpme?
If Windows can resolve the hostname, Awesome Miner should also be able to resolve the hostname. What happens if you ping the hostname via a Windows command prompt? Is it resolving the the correct IP address?

Hello, I'm having issues with getting the Luxor LBC pool stats to come in properly.  Has anyone else added this pool to profit switching?  I only see Equihash mentioned in the thread.

Here is what I have tried:
- Importing the Online Service via API: https://mining.luxor.tech/api/LBC/stats/
- Creating an Online Service entry manually:
      Service: Luxor Mining Pool
      Algo: LBRY
      URL base: luxor.tech:5555
      URL prefix: stratum+tcp://
      Algo URL part: lbc
      Algo API identifier: lbc
Include in Managed Profit Switcher: checked
- Added the following to Statistics Providers:
      WhatToMine add'l JSON: https://whattomine.com/coins/164-lbc-lbry.json
      CoinCalc add'l JSON: https://www.coincalculators.io/api?name=lbry

I'm getting the following in log:
1/20/2021 6:26:33 PM.049 [036] [S ]  Pool profit information not available: lbc-us.luxor.tech

Thanks in advance! Grin
If you check for the LBRY coin in the Coins tab - is it picking up the coin from WhatToMine or CoinCalculators? The reason I'm asking is that the statistics from WhatToMine looks fine CoinCalculators doesn't. The priority can be set in the Options dialog, Statistics Provider section.

If the pool is defined with the coin LBRY, you should be able to get the profitability based on what you see on the coins tab. The Online Services concept isn't required here.

Hi Patrike,

Could you please add the new excavator? It is pretty decent
Yes, it's in the pipeline for the next release.

Please note that Excavator still will require manual downloads, as its license doesn't allow the automatic download as we use for all other mining software.

Hi Patrike,

Yes i am using global fan control. Awesomeminer is setting the fan speed just fine, the issue is that i need to set the fan on the 3000 series cards higher than my other gpus.
Would it not be possible to set fan control on a per-miner basis rather than have a global fan control?
There are currently no feature to exclude specific miners from the global fan control. I've noted your request and we will investigate adding support for this. You can already today define a GPU Clocking Profile with a specific fan speed in the Properties of a miner, but it will not work when the global fan control is enabled.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: January 12, 2021, 12:42:49 PM
Hi Patrike,

Would it be possible to set a minimum fan speed for certain gpus, or have an option disable fan control for certain miners?

My 3080 and 3090 cards require a higher minimum fan speed compared to my other gpus, and the only workaround i can find is to install msi afterburner and set a short interval time so that it can "override" awesomeminer's fan control
Thanks for your question.

If you are using the global fan control (Options dialog, GPU Settings section), it will be applied to all your GPUs. Is the fan speed not set correctly for the 3000-series card as the fan speed value Awesome Miner tries to set is "too low" and is being rejected?

Yes, those are added as well!

Hello, On my farm I Have GPU's and ASIC's.

My license: Your current license: Professional Edition (10 miners)

On my ASIC's I have the AM firmware (LTC's ASIC's)

On your website it is saying:

Mining fee
The firmware has a mining fee of either 2% or 3% (on average a bit lower, about 1.8% and 2.8%)
The mining fee is based on a parallel mining concept to avoid any interruptions to the normal mining
The firmware with a 3% mining fee includes an Awesome Miner license and doesn't consume any of the licenses available in Awesome Miner. This makes it possible to run Awesome Miner and Cloud Services without paying anything for the license as long as the firmware with a 3% mining fee is being used.

But I am tryng to acces cloud services and it is saying that I don't have the subscription plan..

How Can I solve this?
This mix of GPUs or AM firmware makes the situation a bit special. You are required to have a Cloud Services subscription for the GPUs, but not for the Antminers running the AM firmware.

In general, this makes it possible to pay for fewer miners via Cloud Services. In your case you would however still have to sign up for "Professional Subscription", because it's the entry level. This one is for up to 10 miners, but you can use it for any number of Antminers running the AM firmware.

Hi guys, anyone know how to setup viewing ETH wallet balance in AM. What a API you use? Thanks

you don´t need any api for eth, only your address, patrike has set the api for eth.

this is set as default

https://api.blockcypher.com/v1/eth/main/addrs/[address]/balance

so for what you need another api??
this default api call not work
It works fine for Ethereum wallet balance when I'm testing it. Can you please open the URL in the web browser like sxemini suggested?
If you get any response here with a balance that Awesome Miner should be able to display, please let me know your Ethereum wallet address and I will try to reproduce the problem.

Thanks for this update. I found a bug in Ethermine Pool Balance for ETC, AM recognize it as BTC and show Update failed. ETH Pool balance for Ethermine work.
Do you plan to add flypool balance as well? Flypool is a part of ethermine.
Thanks for the feedback. I will add support for Ethermine ETC and Flypool ZEC in the next update.

Hi Patrike,

something is wrong with the QKC calculation.

Example:

AM says around 100 coins and around 0,45€ a day at 24.3mh
Whattomine says around 42 coins and 0,21€ a day at 24.3mh
I will look into this one. Awesome Miner matches what CoinCalculators.io indicate on their web site, but not WhatToMine.com.

Same Ycash

AM says with 8 H/s around 92€ daily

I setup Ycash as new coin by myself and there i get the right result
8 H/s and 0,27€
Ycash is currently not listed, as it isn't included by WhatToMine and CoinCalculators.io anymore. Awesome Miner will currently not automatically update this coin for you.

Verushash has wrong block reward (down to 12 from 24). Are your Coin properties dynamic or static and you change everything by yourself?
Verushash is removed from the WhatToMine main listing, so Awesome Miner will not automatically pick up the changes at the moment. You can manually add it as a custom JSON url in the Options dialog, Statistics provider section:
https://whattomine.com/coins/333.json

Awesome Miner is automatically reading the coin properties for all coins part of the main listings at WhatToMine.com and CoinCalculators.io. In some cases I need to make adjustments as the

I am using linux.

I want to know if it is possible to mine ETH and RVN on my rig at the same time.

The ideia is to Mine ETH with 8gb cards and RVN on my 4GB cards, is it possible on a single rig using AM?
You can configure a Managed Miner to only make use of specific GPUs. If you setup two Managed Miners, you can have one for ETH and another one for RVN.

In the Properties of the Managed Miner, you will find the "GPU selection", where you select the GPUs to use.

Tks,

I had tryed this way, but for some reason (at least on linux) AM get lost to select the GPU's.

Example:
I have i rig and 2 GPU's
On miner 1: select GPU 0 (Temredminer - ETH)
On miner 2: select GPU 1 (Temredminer - RVN)

When start the miner 1, it starts ok!
When start the miner 2, it trys to use the same GPU that is already used on miner 2 and gets 511 temp.

I will do more tests on my miners, maybe it is a rig problem....

Can you please use the Diagnostics button and verify the device selection on both these cases. It looks something like this "-d 0", but the number should be different for the second miner.

Hi Patrike, i try to realise scenario with rules where after mining start and after 30 sec. for the selected miner will be applyed other clocking profile (increasing of memory clock)
With trigers what AM now have, this is imposible. AM not have a "countdown timer" triger, which can be started only one time. And next feature, what can be very useful for rules is some predefined action to check what a algo will be mined at the moment.
With all this suggestion, user can realise a functionality like in RaveOS now, where overclocking can be changed after miner start and after specific time.
New 3060TI GPU allow stable mining with much bigger memory overclocking as starting values, but increasing of clock speed must be done in small steps after miner start.
Regards and best wiches in New Year.

You can set a time to wait in rules in the action section. So set 1. action wait 30 sec and 2. action apply gpu oc profile.
And you can also set the trigger Mining uptime greather than 2min for example. There are many more ways, but not so user friendly like in HiveOS or RavenOS.

So I am agree it is much better to set the Apply GPU OC Profile per miner in the GPU OC Profile section maybe.
Thanks for all the comments.

Today the "GPU Clocking Profiles" section of a Managed Miner only allow you to select the GPU clocking profile to apply, but it will be applied right away. Is it here (in the Properties of the miner) it would make sense to add a delay option - to let you apply the profile after 30 seconds for example?

@patrike

Please consider these features for Cloud interface:

1. Increase number of coins/algorithms shown on Dashboard. Currently it shows max of 8.
2. Show coins/day on Miners page.

Thanks
Thanks for the feedback. I've noted these good points.

I have a rig that loses a card every week or so and needs to be rebooted , why doe the miner keep mining even when watchdog fails with 1 card down

do i have to benchmark it to force it to reboot ?
Thanks for your question.
The exact behavior will depend on the mining software you are running. Some of them will stop mining if they consider a GPU to not be working.

What you can do from an Awesome Miner point of view is to configure a rule with a trigger called "Device Count". If you have the same number of GPU's in all mining rigs, you can specify to trigger when below a specific number.

In case the number of GPU's are different per miner - each miner can be configured with the expected number of devices in the Managed Miner Properties, Advanced section. The trigger can be configured to compare with the expected number of devices configured on the Managed Miner.

The rule action can be set to "Miner command" where you can select Reboot.

Hi Patrike

1) Several versions ago I could reset the ignored pools from the right click >> view details.
Today I had Internet loss for 10 hours and after become online my rig could not connect the pool (there was an error message about "there are no available pools for mining" or something similar), but this time I could not reset ignored pools as before. Please, add this function back.

2) Several pools have the servers in different countries (Europe, USA, others). Can you make selected country as primary pool and the other countries as secondary for the cases when the primary pool fails?

3) Can you add an option to ban the pool from the "online services" tab? For example "disable for 30 min/1 hour/or selected time interval"? Sometimes pool owners asks for some time to repair the problems with their pools and this function can help not to do useless switches.
Thanks for the feedback.
1 and 3) Please select the miner and go to the "Profit switching" tab at the bottom of the screen. In this tab you can both "Reset failed and ignored pools" and also ignore a pool for a specific time interval, similar to what you suggested.

I understand that ignore a pool directly from the Online Services tab would be better, as it would apply for all miners. I've noted your request.
