561  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Technobit 2HEX4M Setup [HD] on: December 26, 2014, 10:11:38 AM
Would these also work on a RasPi and cgminer-3.6.1 (I used in the past on the HEX16 boards...)?

No, you need to use newer cgminer & apply the latest patch.
Latest patch is for cgminer 4.6.1.

Thanks, for the (super-) quick reply!

And do I need a PSU with 4 separate cables? Or would 2 cables with the integrated splitter (so 4 PCI 6pin connectors, 2 per cable) work too?

You must use 4 separate cables. 2 cables will be very hot.

If you are going to use ATX PSU, then buy PSU with rated power 750watt.
If you are in US, find used server PSU, they are cheap & reliable.

We still waiting for latest firmware release from marto. Screen shot on DICE thread is using cgminer 4.8.0
There is a change that firmware 0.4.0 had no support for DICE.

573  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 2 x Bitmain Antminer U3 not running the same speeds? on: December 23, 2014, 09:27:05 AM
Probably dead chip

I am not sure if this can work but you can check it by running command under cgminer folder:
Code:
./cgminer-api stats

You need to compile cgminer-api first:
Code:
gcc api-example.c -Icompat/jansson-2.5 -Icompat/libusb-1.0/libusb -o cgminer-api

Alright, I don't really have control over the first router; so to change the IP on the miner should I be changing everything in that WAN tab to 10.0.0.* ? Meaning, IPv4 address becomes 10.0.0.99, IPv4 netmask stays the same (255.255.255.0), IPv4 gateway would be 10.0.0.1, IPv4 broadcast would be 10.0.0.255, and DNS would be 10.0.0.1?

BTW, I got into the CP.

Yes  Smiley
For dns you might want to add 8.8.8.8 as second dns.

575  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S3 Setup [HD] on: December 22, 2014, 08:57:46 AM

The routers IP's are 10.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.105, my computer only shows as 10.0.0.3.

I see. Your second router IP is 10.0.0.1. Then your pc ip must be 10.0.0.xx.
You need to change your pc ip address to static & make it like 192.168.1.50. Then connect the miner directly to your pc & change the miner ip address to 10.0.0.99.

or

change your first router ip to 192.168.0.1 & change your second router ip to 192.168.1.1. With this you don't need to change your miner ip address.
576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S3 Setup [HD] on: December 22, 2014, 08:39:07 AM
I can't connect to this thing, tried both the regular way and the alternate way. Nothing. 192.168.1.99 gives me an unable to connect page in Firefox.

What is your pc ip address? It must be same prefix with the miner. Example 192.168.1.50

My LAN IP is 10.0.0.1. (Can't change it to anything else). My Internet IP is 192.168.1.105.

Info coming off of my Netgear router control page.

I am on a sub-network. We have two routers. One that our main modem is plugged into, my router is plugged into that router.

So your pc ip is 192.168.1.105 ?
The miner connected to same router with your pc right?

.....

Second, I got an S3+, regarding powering it, should I be using two cables on my PSU for it, or would one cable (with two connectors) work?

Yes, you should use two cable from psu, one cable is not enough.
