New supply halves and demand stays the same (maybe even increases with the reward drop publicity). I say the price will go up at that time...but will it double?
I think so, then higher yet and then collapse back down to the doubling. Something like that anyway.

SolidCon proved this to be true.

I am cashing out at $10 for sure !

I'll cash out right around the high of the next 12 months - about $7.

With all the FUD brought about by the reward change I would expect much higher than that.

If you have submitted valid claims on Bitcoinica website, you should expect your refunds directly from Bitcoinica.

That's the thing, Zhou, we don't expect refunds from Bitcoinica anymore.

And what makes you think THAT Huh

Don't lose faith !

The mugu is not supposed to lose faith. He still waits for this millions ... Cheesy

for the record,

the fans I ordered came from:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/280800583937

Ordered two on Saturday, got them on Tuesday (!!)...

I know at least the one is working (already replaced the "mostly-busted" fan).  I assume the second will, too... probably will order another 4 or 5 from that guy.  Most of the other ppl ship from China.

wow thanks for the link. Thats damn cheap and fast shipping.

yeah, i went ahead and bought 2 more, at 3 am yesterday (friday)... and he shipped em out that same day.  probably get them on monday, w/ usps working on saturday

i guess with all these fans, maybe i'll just run them at 100% for a while

Running fans at 100% is actually recommended. Gives more air cooling to the bearings so less likely to break or deteriorate Wink

why would you run a 7970 with such settings?

Because not every has their mommy and daddy paying for their power usage Wink
567  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Private Trackers ( Invites / Account ) Huge List ! on: June 09, 2012, 12:59:56 AM
Either he's very lazy or a scammer. At least 3 trackers on that list have been shut down already.

If you bought an invite from him, contact the staff on the tracker and tell them. He will get banned, but they will not ban you, and in most cases they will even reward you. If the staff finds out that he's selling invites and you didn't tell them, you(and everyone else on his invite-tree) will get banned too.

This. Selling tracker invites = NO NO fool OP !

Don't get scammed folks ...

Fearful of the future, Europeans are moving their money out of their banks and dumping it into safe havens such as U.S. Treasuries, Government of Canada bonds — and apparently the virtual currency Bitcoin.
...

Author owns BTC and hopes news will make it go up.

Nothing new here. Nobody I know is moving from EUR -> BTC.

That would be stupid silly ...

I want my money Zhou. When I signed up you were the only owner and my money was placed in your hands with trust. Then you sell the company without letting me know. I do not know who is Tihan or Genjix or Donald. if you would have told me you were selling your company 2 things could have happenef.

1- i would offered you a substantial amount of money and bought it from you.

2- I would have cash out all my bitcoins and USD until the owner change was complete.

You deceived me and others in pretending you still owned bitcoinica and taking credit for refunding losses out of your own pocket.

6325 + 9449 = 15,774 BTC

Current Mtgox Price is 5.60

USD 53,244  = 9449 BTC

Maria.

Nice trolling ! I am also owed 18K BTC at address 17upZsFjg6DKbHMwLpzyzqf2H9JAWTWFSC right now or I sue you !
578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone get the money back from Bitcoinica? on: June 08, 2012, 07:43:56 PM
I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon. Lawyers, complaints, and basically a complete unwillingness on the party of Bitcoinica to communicate or return the funds is what I forsee for the forseeable future.

The higher the exchange rate climbs, the more people who are likely taking legal actions, thus likely decreasing everyone's chances of seeing any funds returned.

just my 2 satoshis.

I sense the "shakaru" syndrome at work here. Leave them alone ...

Don't call them scammers and you will sure get your money back !

Just like shakaru did !

580  Economy / Economics / Re: Price stickiness at $5 USD/BTC? on: June 08, 2012, 05:55:11 PM
There's been a lot of talk about how market stabilization like this can't happen without insider information. I don't think that's necessarily the case. I'm reminded of someone mentioning on this forum about research that was done on predicting market movements with high accuracy (80%+) based on the frequency of individual words used on different forums. I would not be at all surprised if someone was putting that to use to keep the market stable and making profit on the side.

Of course, it looks like the dam just burst during the past few days. Regardless, I'm curious to see if we'll return to a comparably stable position once the price stops going up again.

I also think that someone doing this is very good for Bitcoin in the long term. Heavy instability will cause a lot people to avoid Bitcoin markets.

No. We first need to reach $10 then we can stabilize.

Value of $5 is too low for what BTC offers IMHO. Only 5 times better than Bernanke ? No way !
