561  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If all block chain copies get deleted, what would happen? on: October 15, 2014, 07:18:39 AM
Bitcoin would stop.

You need the previous block to "build upon", without which it wouldn't work.
Another genesis block would need to be created...

It's most likely that LTC would just take over...
562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it the right time to invest on BTC on: October 15, 2014, 07:13:49 AM
Investing in Bitcoin is always your call.

There is no "right time"

You could have bought at the December spike at 900 and sold at 1000$.

Every situation has an opportunity to flip, or daytrade.

The "right time" only applies if you believe in Bitcoin's intrinsic value, and feel that it is going to continue rising until it reaches its "true" value.
In which case, any time is the right time.
563  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I have .079 BTC to sell. I want PayPal or old US coins on: October 11, 2014, 03:38:22 PM
Move the post to Currency Exchange.
Paypal is not a "digital good", but merely a means for USD.

You may want to create a second post in the "Goods" forum itself for the coins if you are serious about it.
564  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Block Halving Price Impact on: October 10, 2014, 08:26:49 PM
August 2016 ?

A bit early for speculation, isn't it ?

It is really likely that Bitcoin will go into tens of thousands or drop below 100$ (death) before that.

There is a chance that there will be an altcoin in the near future whose features are good enough to make it beat BTC. I really wish altcoin devs would stop churning clones, and let them be taken more seriously.
565  Economy / Services / Re: Renting out sig- SR. member with 1000+ Posts, on: October 10, 2014, 02:53:57 PM
Just go for a 0.1 BTC campaign.
Better than wasting a month searching for 0.12 BTC

You can keep this open, but I suggest joining a campaign from here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

If I post 25 times a week for 4 weeks I'll get paid 0.1 by pocketdice. I guess it's better to join one of the campaigns listed there, but I'll stay with this one until I get a signature.

but thanks for listing that.

Ahh, I understood the OP wrongly.
I thought pocket dice would pay you only if you made 50 posts, and you didn't have time to make that many posts.

567  Other / Meta / Re: How can i get a green trust on my profile? on: October 08, 2014, 01:26:02 PM
You mean projecting angst like having a temper tantrum and throwing your toys out of the pram and calling people faggots?  Roll Eyes That sounds pretty angsty to me, whereas pretty much everyone else was trying to calmly give you advice.  The sooner you realise where you went wrong the sooner you can move on from this but it doesn't look like you're mature enough to see any of this.

you can't convince me of a lie. keep dreaming.

Okay, you can believe what you want.
You can continue asking for trust.
Nobody will delete that post, don't worry.

People will just think that you are out to scam them, and give you negative trust.
You may be honest, but nobody cares. You are asking for trust needlessly, and they trust you lesser than before.
How much ever you cry, you cannot make people trust you, and that is exactly what a green number means.
568  Other / Meta / Re: How can i get a green trust on my profile? on: October 08, 2014, 02:38:05 AM
Simply, we don't know if we can trust you.
Know trusted member will go first, because why should they trust you, when they are the trusted one ?

Secondly, trust is upon user discretion. I can put negative trust for everybody on BTCtalk, without any consequences. (The only exception is spamming by creating alts)
There is no "trust abuse", anybody can put trust for anybody, and if you get a red number because somebody negged you, its because they are on your trust list (Stop DefaultTrust if you don't like that !)
569  Economy / Gambling / Re: [CONCEPT] Bitcoin Candy Crush Game on: October 06, 2014, 06:56:02 AM
Yeah, dozens of these FB games would be awesome if you implemented Bitcoin multiplayer.

I doubt what you are suggesting will work well, Single Player is always much much harder to pull off, it either gets too rewarding or gets an insane house edge.
570  Other / Meta / Re: Wtf is wrong with you people? on: October 04, 2014, 07:58:35 PM
You're saying you support known criminals harassing you on this forum for no reason but to hate on you? I'm pretty sure your tolerance and support will stop the moment you and not somebody else is the victim.

"According to sources in the NXT community that agreement was something akin to as follows:".

Yeah, sure , sources...
I don't think anyone is going to get banned for something as ambiguous as that.

(I'm not even sure if scammers get banned at all...)
571  Economy / Services / Re: Civil engineer on: October 04, 2014, 07:36:44 PM
Authorized person offering Civil designing (structural and architectural) services.

What do you mean by "authorized"

It would be great if you could mention how you are certified and why we should use your services in the original post.

Also, it would help if you went into more detail on what work you have done in the past
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: @ bluemeanie1 ~ Two can play that game you care to dance ? on: October 04, 2014, 07:33:42 PM
Make a scammer report or leave him negative trust if you believe that he is a scammer.
Post in Meta if you think that some moderator action needs to be taken, and clearly state the need in the OP.

But for now, this is just cluttering up the Services forum.
573  Economy / Services / Re: Escrow wanabee on: October 04, 2014, 04:41:03 PM
There is no easy way to get into escrowing.

I wish I could escrow, along with hundreds of others, but I don't think that it would be possible.

The only method is to get a lot of trust. (You will mostly also need to be Sr. or Hero member for this)

At Sr. Member/Hero. Member, people may trust you with some trades without escrow, helping you get some small trust.
As you move onto bigger trades, you *might* be able to get some trust.
Then, you can get onto the circle where even a few points on defaulttrust will give you continuous returns, sooner or later getting you enough trust to be an escrow.

Alternatively, start a service.
It should involve transactions with hundreds of people, and should need each person to trust you with only small amounts.
For example, a gambling site. Each user needs to trust you with only cents worth of BTC to gamble, but as it runs, you will get more and more "cumulative trust"
You won't get a green number as quickly, but you will get generally trusted.

Whichever method you take, it won't be really worth it if you are looking for profit.
Monbux has free escrow services, and I doubt you will ever cross his repute.
I'd say that there is already a saturation of escrows, with hundreds looking for a chance, and at this rate, it looks like escrows are going to start paying you to use them.
574  Economy / Services / Re: I'll pay you to print Bitcoin posters and tape/paste them in public places. on: October 03, 2014, 09:27:17 PM
I'd do it in Dubai, but I'm not sure if I'd get screwed over by the officials...

I would be sad if you ended up in a prison in Dubai. Smiley

I don't really know the laws on this, because except for the shady areas in Dubai, I've never seen posters.
575  Economy / Services / Re: I'll pay you to print Bitcoin posters and tape/paste them in public places. on: October 03, 2014, 09:25:18 PM

Any place where it would do real good would be taken down, anywhere else wouldn't be worth it.
576  Economy / Services / Re: Need something bought on Amazon? I'll buy it! (I have Prime) on: September 29, 2014, 06:06:49 PM
1- Only in Continental US
2- Slight mark up
3- No reptutation

On the other hand, if you use Gyft:-

1- A gift card, can be used almost globally
2- Cashback of 3% normally, more if a special offer is going on.
3- Trustworthy company.

The amazon prime account isn't worth it due to the other factors.
577  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Coin-Sweeper Treasure Hunt! (27th – 29th Sep 2014) 0.1BTC to be claimed! on: September 29, 2014, 05:48:34 PM
The probability of getting 54 would be :-

61/64 chance of surviving round one * 60/63 chance of surviving round two ..... * 8/11 chance of surviving round 54 = 61! 10!/ 64! 7! = 0.29% chance

Is this accurate ? This means you have a one in 347 chance of getting 54 coins.
578  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coin-Sweeper.com - Find as many coins as you can without clicking a bomb! on: September 29, 2014, 05:31:41 PM
An amazing idea would be if you accepted Litecoin and Dogecoin, and if you switched currency, the coins you get from digging would change in appearance.

Also, imagine a "mixed coin" mode where you enter with one currency, leave with 100% of original + some of all three if you win.
