Ironic thing is that China is currently reopening the original silk road trade route.
The origins of the silk road were not illegal.
Just because a darknet (that used bitcoin) was called silk road, all of a sudden that term has a bad stigma?
Really sad really, as the whole SILK name was just that, a reference to global trade.
Its not like Monero and DASH are not being attracted to darknets...

In response to the dump, thank you whoever that was, you just helped distribute more coins amongst users  How much was dumped? 100k, 200k? a million? between 200 and 450K but feels like dumping in own hands as the distribution didnt change much. Feels like scare tactic. Remember this coin still needs to prove itself over time untill then these tactics will occure. to "Quote, warren buffet", not exact lines.. invest in a company/group that you feel good by, and ask where you see them in the next 10/20 years, if you feel good about it and see the potential go hard and deep. This mindset will burn a part of your bankroll a few times, but the times you are right will be worth it and cover the loses you made before. Like i said in other thread and will repeat again, SLK will hit 50k and beyond over time, would you then still sell it? Or take the stakes to periodically cash out for what ever stupid luxury you need? Short term thinking for profit will result in chasing wich will result in loss. Be a visionair and invest where YOU believe in long time 1-20yrs. Silk is a major brand on itself, the name has great opportunity's. Sure people of the first hour will compare it with the darknet. but this stigma has no fundament. The original Silkroad from the ancient times is what we have to keep in mind, where cultural interaction from different regions made smart deals. This is what this project stands for. Freedom of trade freedom of choice. Let's never forget this, we gonna rebuild the fundament from ancient times in the modern world and make a big finger to regulation and control. my 2 SLKs Lets keep on marching camels I agree, just remember that the branding alone was making silkcoin successful back in 2014 before the devs abandoned the project. I for myself cant believe they decided to just walk away from the whole thing. But that doesnt matter anymore, because we have a fresh start this time round  |

Wow the news keeps getting better and better! This is going to give us some serious credibility! People will be very sorry for dumping theirs right now... NEM seems to be ready to jump high. Well now is a good time to buy, It has not spiked ridiculously crazy (yet) after the news, which is a good thing. If we can avoid sharp rises, thats good. Either way, i highly doubt XEM will go much lower than it currently has been this week. As far as Arara goes, this must be what people were referring to in regards to Japanese supermarkets. Now, wouldnt it be awesome one day if we see Arara accepting XEM to purchase e-money cards? |

More exciting stuff trickling through the trollbox on poloniex, apparently a Japanese company will be using xem at 4000 supermarkets! would like to find a link to verify this. I think the consensus is that the trollbox might not be the world's most authoritative source of information. I think this is what people are making out of the translated link, either way, its pretty big news in japan to see this reaction. |

NEM public chain is also the medium for communication between Mijin chains, this could be stressed. A new article came out today about BCFinance, although they've been committed to NEM for months, about their intent to use a Mijin-Azure chain for MicroCredit in Myanmar.
Yes, this is very well known over there, I feel little is known in the western world about NEM / Mijin, dragonfly etc. This alone is enough to keep me confident that NEM means serious business. Only a matter of time before everyone does eventually catch on. Meanwhile good time to buy more XEM |

I assume people are selling to buy into POT
There've been countless other pumps since XEM's peak. I think this is simply the final deflation from XEM's pump and dump. It'll have a nice rest and then head back into action next year maybe. Yes, we were one of the first to get pumped, then along came a huge pump for STEEM, DASH and Monero. I still trust NEM, people are just panic selling. Its just an unfortunate fact that in crypto, you have to face pump and dumps with any coin. Weak hands will always be shaken out. People will be burnt when they panic sell, if you are not in here for the long term, then this is not for you. |
