561  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Assistance needed, willing to tip on: March 16, 2024, 01:01:41 PM
It's hard for someone to go first before you send back the tip or payment for the fee. You have $201 worth of USDT and don't you have any spare like $5-$10 for the fee of it? You only need to go and exchange it somewhere you have spare funds and do the thing for yourself.

Why needed to ask help for a gas fee, I think loading $10 isnt that expensive for what you can get later right? This kind of approach might be thought as a scam by others.
I have seen this type of approach and some of them are genuinely asking for help. But the thing here is, if they have this amount. A $5 worth of TRX for the fee is going to be nothing coming from their pockets once the USDT has been traded already.
562  Economy / Economics / Re: Senators pressure SEC’s Gensler not to approve any more crypto ETFs on: March 16, 2024, 10:30:07 AM
I think that there's also someone or some big authority that's pressuring these senators that are suggesting Gensler to block the approval of the rest of the crypto ETF proposals. Most of them have their own interest and if they're saying that this is to avoid the exposure of people from risks, I don't even think that if this suggestion is coming from them, they're just trying to get into the line since the talks about election is already there and whoever they are supporting for their parties. While I am not really in favor of any other ETF than Bitcoin but if there's nothing found for the SEC to decline it, they should be rightful to any decision based on their standards and procedures for approving one.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you need to have spare USDT in this bullrun. on: March 16, 2024, 08:25:51 AM
If you're a spot trader then you truly need to have some stable coins prepared for you to buy those altcoins that you have spotted. As for these new projects that are being released in market, it's true that they're being the center of the attraction lately because every investor thinks that the earliest that you can get, the better opportunity and return of investment that you'll get. And as you've mentioned that BOME, I've just noticed it and Binance is also going to list it but not with spot but with perpetuals so, I guess that the exchanges aren't also missing the whole point of these newly released memecoins in the market. For that specific memecoin that's newly released, I've seen that it's listed on many centralized exchanges already.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is really unexpected on: March 16, 2024, 05:36:12 AM
I plan to take a break again from gambling, but a few days ago, I saw an opening slot for this online casino campaign, BC Game which was a campaign being promoted on this forum. To apply you have to have an ID number on their website. Since it is required, I created an account. I think to myself that since I already have an account, why not try playing to kill some time?

I deposited money worth 500PHP or $9, just to try the website if it will meet my criteria in online casinos. I expected to immediately lose the money I deposited as I knew that this amount of money would only make me eligible to play at slots or on games where there's only a small minimum amount to start playing.

Guess what, I was able to play card games where normally a game with a high minimum amount to stake. On this website, specifically Blackjack the minimum amount to bet is 1.00 Php or $0.02. Because of that low minimum amount to bet, I was able to play it and I unexpectedly won by multiplying my deposited money up to 10x even after losing so much in the past month. I was able to buy my dream guitar worth $200, of course, I added a few bucks to buy it. I stopped playing and withdrew the money, I don't want to continue to bet the amount of money I've won.
Gambling is really unexpected based on your story with bc.game but I am happy to read that after you've seen the ad from the campaign, it has urged you to try. Aside from that you're able to enjoy the game with small amounts that you can afford, you're able to enjoy the game as well. Congratulations that you're also able to buy your dream guitar and with all of the losses that you've made before, you've found joy with bc.game.  Smiley

Due to these winnings, I might stay playing on this website a little longer. I feel like my luck hasn't run out yet.

For some who recently had an unexpected experience or winnings in gambling, kindly share yours to inspire those who think they are unlucky in gambling.

Disclaimer: I am not part of the BC game team, this is also not to advertise them but simply to give specific information about my story.
Good luck buddy but don't forget to moderate your gambling activities. And I hope that you enjoy more your stay with bc.game.  Wink
565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO refuses withdrawals on: March 15, 2024, 11:14:24 PM
Thank you all for time suggestions! I have contacted CEX through via DM here as well - I'll update if this gets resolved or not
Wait for them to respond because I've seen them reply to threads like this if it's concerning their service. But I do hope that you get the response that you'd be happy with and they'd be able to check out your account and allow that transaction to push through if ever you don't really have problems with your account. Right now, it's just best to wait and surely their representative are going to put some comments here and what's the status of your account and withdrawal and possibly explain why it had happened.
566  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: March 15, 2024, 09:03:59 PM
With a lot of scam accusations against Fixedfloat and with this hacking news, I don't think they will be able to continue their business. The reason is not that they have lost a lot of money in the hack but it is due to that they are losing trust both by the mismanagement of them to resolve people query's, holding people's money and this hack could be the nail in the coffin for them.
They've got several days just after the hack to get back on the business but I don't think that they have got plans of getting back into business. I'm always checking if they've been back and with that period and window of time, I've seen that they've been back for a few days but they've disabled a lot of crypto to trade including BTC and after that, they've never been back.

If this hack is an insider's job, then it can be an attempt for a scam exit and we never know that they may come back again with a new name and a new domain Shocked
I am not even thinking about that but with such complains and how the business and process goes for them, they'd probably decided just to wait for some big deposits and did what they have to do. But who knows if they're going to be back again and will resolve all of the concerns that are thrown to them and clean what they have to clear.
567  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security might not be a priority for younger generations. (2) on: March 15, 2024, 07:34:59 PM
This crisis demands innovation.  Imagine a world where we don't rely solely on traditional agriculture.  Perhaps the answer lies in "designer food," where oil and gas, currently used for fuel, are cleverly transformed into edible resources.  This shift wouldn't just put food on tables; it would also curb our dependence on fossil fuels.
Actually, it doesn't need any innovation. The traditional farming is already enough to sustain our food and have a food security but the interest of the younger generation has changed and it's not all about these traditional things anymore as they don't want to do farming anymore.

Finance, the engine of progress, has limitations.  It can't conjure food out of thin air.  A world obsessed with stocks and bonds might neglect the fields and farms that sustain us.  Imagine a society where everyone's a trader, but no one's a farmer.  That's a recipe for disaster.
I can imagine that world that most of us are all businessmen and doesn't want to go farming, we'd all be dying eventually since there are no more food producers. There should be a drive for the government to attract more people to get into farming that should give the younger generations the idea that they must do it.

So, the younger generation holds the key. They can't afford to be one-dimensional.  Yes, finance and technology are important, but so is nurturing the green revolution.  We need engineers who can design vertical farms, scientists who can create drought-resistant crops, and entrepreneurs who can bridge the gap between innovation and affordability.
We need all of those professionals but we also need the food producers as these younger generations are going to be the hope of the future. If there won't be that much number of them to be pushed that they must go farming, it's going to give that bad impression in the future and it'll turn into problem because we lack of farmers and other food producers.
568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the needful this period and save yourself stress and heartbreak on: March 14, 2024, 11:51:15 PM
Such a good reminder. The emotions are very much high at this rate when everything seems to be increasing and that's why we need to guard ourselves from various modus that are in the market and community.

scam traders flaunting their progress to lure novice into trading of their coins
This is one of the most common scam going round at all he moment, during every bull run almost everyone is an expert in crypto or a great analyst. Many scammers create signal groups on social media and post some set of Altcoins that would pump and since it’s bull run this potential victims see the result and continue following the scammers until they develop there own scam token and advice their followers to put their funds on it and then they rug pull. This is very common and this is an old scam that I don’t think will end anytime soon as long as people find a way to get some tokens that pump they will continue to be lured to this scammers
That's true, they are all targeting newbies that have no idea about the market and making it look like they're experts. They're always there when the bull run is there and tha's why many of the newbies are being introduced to the wrong projects because they're all projecting the returns instead of the project itself and what are the fundamentals and what it is aiming in the long run. Most of them are paid to shill and that's why many are wrongly directed to the market and they all(newbies) ended up losing money because they thought that these crypto evangelists are for real but they're just mere influencers that are paid to endorse projects that they'd get commissions for each guy they refer or signs under their links.

570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have known Bitcoin and other currencies since 2014 on: March 14, 2024, 07:55:02 PM
You are not alone OP in knowing Bitcoin like several years ago but did nothing or never purchased even with a buck of your money. That's a normal story to see everyday when someone confesses that he/she had known Bitcoin for a while but then, they never invested because they might reason out that they have no money or they were skeptics before. Well, you can't do anything with that anymore as we're living in the present, it was good days when you've known it before and you've seen how cheap it was together with other cryptocurrencies but then you did no action with it. The problem is in you or with how's your situation back then, so, it is not too late at all. You can DCA and start your journey until you cannot see the price anymore today and we've got some discount now as the market corrected.
571  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SimpleSwap, instant cryptocurrency exchange with more than 175 coins. on: March 14, 2024, 01:50:34 PM
Is it possible to prove the source of funds without KYC? Meaning to say that they are the profits of a signature campaign or that I withdrew them from Y exchange?
Based in their: 4. Client checks as long as they're low risk which can be categorized that came from a signature campaign is possible that they won't do so. But as usual, they're free to ask for full kyc if it's needed as said on their rules and as per their discretion. If you're going to exchange big amounts that you've accumulated through campaigns, it's best to do it with smaller amounts just to be safe.

4. Client checks
4.1. It is a part of SimpleSwap's commitment to providing efficient and streamlined services without compromising on compliance. Defined as ‘free from sign-up’ or ‘no KYC’ approach is applied exclusively in scenarios identified as low risk. In instances where our monitoring system identifies potential red-flag indicators, we will escalate the checking procedures and conduct a client check.

4.2. SimpleSwap may at its discretion require clients to complete mandatory KYC checks on any transaction. This measure is in response to certain triggers identified during our ongoing risk assessment and monitoring processes. We reserve the right to implement these checks as necessary to uphold the security and integrity of our platform and to comply with regulatory obligations.

4.3. The checks are tiered into two distinct levels: standard and enhanced. Criteria for determining whether a certain transaction or client are subject to a certain type of check are solely at SimpleSwap’s discretion and are subject to our security and compliance protocols and regulatory requirements.
572  Economy / Economics / Re: Early exposure of children to wealth and investments on: March 14, 2024, 11:25:54 AM
Is it right to tell your children all the investment you've made even when they're not yet matured enough?
I think that's fine. It's best to expose our kids at an early stage of their lives about money. Most of the kids that I've seen lately aren't really into these knowledges that are being taught by their parents but instead, they're into nonsense things and just all about enjoying their childhood. I have nothing against about enjoying their childhood but if you teach them early with your investments or even by just simple savings, they've got an upperhand compared to the other kids when they grow older.

If no, At what age should they start knowing about those investment?
As soon as you teach them how to save, I think that's already enough. Start from teaching them to save money to buy their toys or their desired things because it's about the principle of teaching them on how to be responsible with their finances and at the same time, the lessons are already there and eventually they'll learn about what actually investing is.

574  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: March 13, 2024, 11:11:47 PM
I am not a mobile person too but with that award, it seems that I should try it out and see it for myself. Having a responsive feature to the mobile users is one of the features that most casinos should have and with that award, it only means that bc.game has been recognized and shown that sigma africa awards something within them. It's also encouraging us to join them through mobile but we will get there soon.  Tongue
Actually I have never use my PC to access any gambling site, I usually use my phone maybe is because I use my mobile device more often than the pc, to be frank in Nigeria about 90% should be having a smartphone or access to one but that can't be said for a PC, I believe majority of Nigerian use smartphone for accessing any gambling platform including BC.GAME
I have no idea about that metric but if you're familiar with how Nigerians do their thing through their smartphones then that's it. We've got some news last year that they're the fastest growing country in terms of adoption in crypto trades so it's really possible of what you're saying about them.

That's what actually what is mobile for and for sure that they'll maintain it, they do understand that not everyone has their own laptop and desktop and this gives comfort to those that don't have any other way of accessing bc.game but through their smartphones.
Actually BC.Game web sites on mobile works excellently well for me,  it has good user experience and I haven't really experienced any lagging when using it, I guess you will be trying it on mobile while I will be trying it on my pc  soon
Good to hear that, I'd be doing it as well although I am more convenient into desktop/laptop because I am into a bigger and wider screen for things like this. And that's why I also encourage you to visit them through your PC.  Smiley
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: March 13, 2024, 09:39:43 PM
Every casino needs to have certain features so they can stand out as the market is so competitive. One of the things that bc.game stands out is the playability of the casino on a mobile phone. Personally I never use my mobile to play on casino but I bet that market is also growing. Congrats bc.game for another award!
Tongue

So when I'm really lazy about opening my laptop or computer, I can gamble with my cellphone by accessing this bc.game. I also hope they continue to maintain their site so that it remains light for cellphone users because not everyone has a personal computer or laptop. and only have a cellphone, but even so, bc.game must continue to compete with other gambling sites in terms of service and also convenience for all users so that they can access their site without obstacles and slowness, at least cellphone browser users must still be prioritized in this case so that bc.game can continue to get lots of new users.
That's what actually what is mobile for and for sure that they'll maintain it, they do understand that not everyone has their own laptop and desktop and this gives comfort to those that don't have any other way of accessing bc.game but through their smartphones.
576  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Passively earning in crypto without trading. on: March 13, 2024, 08:00:16 PM
Or are there other passive ways of earning you will recommend for those that already missed the ongoing pump and are skeptical of price dumping on them?
Holding for me outside exchange is still considered as a passive way of earning, you may not earn through the quantity of your holding unlike staking and interest rates coming from exchanges but you don't hold the private keys there. I'll choose to own and have it and see it grow in paper value than of seeing it have more in small amounts through quantity based on the percentage reward that they're giving to the depositors or holders of their vaults. I just find this as a better way to increase the profit through holding and that's why I consider it as a passive income. Also, you don't get to trade with that as it seems safer than all of those options.
577  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Alert.!! on: March 13, 2024, 06:54:59 PM

578  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 13, 2024, 10:53:41 AM
For quite some time now we have been hearing about savings and most people who are working in some oil firm or some civil servants so much believe on saving and their pension. What if those savings are turned into investment what do you think could be their results by now extremely rich or wealth?
While we are investors, there are those people mostly in the past that can't attain to invest and their only last hope during their retirement is their pension. We don't have the same tolerance with risks and that's why there are people for investments, and there those that are just chill and will rely to their life savings and pension when they're at their retirement age.

No wonder teacher or lecturers are not wealthy due to their this mentality of thinking we hardly finds out a very wealth teacher across or locality.
Sad but true. However, they're also the ones that are honing us since we were young so I'd give credit to them for enriching each and everyone of us on top of our experiences. And on this matter, it's why it is a must that wages of educators must be increased. Otherwise, they have taken the career because it is their passion.

For long have been around here seems like people who belongs to this world think much of investment than savings while the real world focuses more on savings but if I could recall correctly, any money in savings doesn't yield and add to the account while investment is what gives us money or profits at every end of the day week or month irrespective of how little it could be it's better to have investment than savings.

What do you think?
I think it's also about what's injected by the wealthy people and the owners of the banking institutions to the public. They all want us to save our money for them to use it for their investments having that guarantee our money is safe with them.
579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin pump|before halving on: March 12, 2024, 07:21:41 PM
No one knows until the time comes of halving and whatever is the price by that time. Talking about JP Morgan? Is his opinion really matter to you anymore? He's been telling tha since long time ago and even said about Bitcoin is fraud for so many times. My advise to you is don't take him seriously despite him a known banker and financial guy, his opinion doesn't really matter if you're long term on Bitcoin. But of course some of the news when it's published about his opinion it might make some impact but you don't worry with such.
580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: March 12, 2024, 05:38:59 PM
You can't stop them and they're more aggressive this bull run. I have no idea who has put in the minds of mostly beginners about having x100-x1000 with their investments. They truly are prone to scams with that mindset whilst the ones that are into safe investing by having their money in Bitcoin doesn't have to think about such. A lot sure will get into new projects thinking that they're early on those but, they should be wary about the rug pulls aren't gone and those developers that have been doing that will just repeat the process trying to lure these poor investors that have no idea of what they're up to.
Newbies have seen more believing and relying on crypto influencers for their decision making that’s why its not surprising anymore to see them hyping in the market, trying to turn out impossible things into reality like seeking for 100x-1000x profits in such crypto coins, but still end up losing all their funds because they rush into investing without prior research at first. Although I have no big issues with this type of newbies but if they won’t learn from their mistakes, they’ll possibly end up losing consistently because of greed and wrong information gathered.
Crazy influencers as they seem to be relevant only this season but when the market is in bear, they're gone and no longer relevant and giving tips. When a newbie starts to rely on these hypes and crypto influencers that are telling them they'd make xx money investing on a shilled project, that's already where they're going to see how their money will be gone easily. Some may profit but most of them are just quick money and if they wouldn't man and wise up with how they make from those shilled projects. They'd repeat the process and the second or third time around, they'll be the ones that are going to be eaten by this whole market losing them money and will make them realize that they'd been doing it wrongly.
