5701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops allowed here? on: April 24, 2020, 05:29:00 PM
Is it allowed to make a airdrop like, join our Telegram then u will get some free coins?

Airdrop are basically promotions

So, as long as it is genuine I do not think it should be a problem.

I think you need to create a new post for airdrop here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

As you can see most of the users including me are saying that option no 3 is the best but if the ICC wants to implement rule no 2, this would mean they have some other intentions and they have a look at the bigger picture for the players interest too and also what is best for making more money. If IPL is rescheduled to some other months other than Mar/Apr 2021 it will not be good for the game.
Postponing the tournament by two years is not possible. If they do that, then the ICC may suffer a lot of financial damage. On average, ICC conducts one major tournament per year, and most of their revenues come from these tournaments. In the end, the annual contribution for various national boards may take a hit and the nations outside the big 3 will get impacted.
It all depends on the availability of the vaccine to cure this dreadful disease. Practically it is not possible to again reschedule the tournament again in next if the virus is still a five in 2021. I think they should wait and watch the situation. They cannot come into any conclusion within few months.

If the coronavirus epidemic will not subside quickly, most provably ICC will change their schedule, but till now they don't want to change the schedule. You know, most of the ICC-Money is earned through this tournament, so postponing the tournament means their financial loss. That's why ICC will wait until the last moment. If they could, they wouldn't change the schedule of the tournament. so, they will have to wait some more time to reach the conclusion.

You cannot stop the inevitable, financial loss is now in every sector so if they try also they cannot organize this tournament. Untill a permanent solution is out.

Already few countries have initiated the trial for a vaccine but that trial also takes a minimal six month to one year time. So most probably a cure vaccine will be available by next year or end of this year.

Untill then sports tournaments will be on hold.

As long as its not book cricket, i am fine with it.

One creative way could be, Players using sandpaper officially as they can't use saliva on ball. Grin

Yeah, The Melbourne Cricket Ground.

 Grin Grin Grin

You can check my previous posts and you will find that I have always favored the usage of sandpaper over saliva (even before the COVID 19 epidemic). Both of them have almost the same impact on the swing of the cricket ball, and I don't understand the reason why one is permitted while the other is not. This is also a very unhygienic practice which needs to be done away with.  Grin

Both are helpful for swing but..

1. Saliva is for smoothing one side of ball and let other side get rough naturally as game proceeds.
2. Sandpaper or other foreign object is used by players for disturbing one side of roughness in short period of time, intentionally.

That's why one is legit and other is not.

There are two more ways to tamper the ball other than using a sand paper. Scratching one side of the ball using nails and the other one is excessively rubbing one side with a hand towel.
5704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of cryptocurrency on: April 24, 2020, 03:16:54 PM
I have not seen or heard any government accepting cryptocurrency to pay utility bills and niether I have seen governments accepting it as a legal tender. They have only created a negative impression about cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin and still most of the governments are pretty much confused as to how and what to do with these digital currencies.

To counter Bitcoin big countries have already started ro point out their own crypto, where in they are trying to mislead their own citizen by creating a myth that their centralized cryptocurrency is better than Bitcoin.

There are very few good online organization that are trying to promote cryptocurrency but not the governments.

5706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 24, 2020, 02:09:29 PM
Since we can't watch those matches, so we can't imagine how they were played. But even 20 years ago the technology were not so good as it is now. We didn't have closeup reviews, hawkeye and a lot of other things at that time.

True. All that remains of that match are a few photographs. BBC was having the broadcasting rights for the 1983 Cricket World Cup (which was being played in England). Back then, India was being considered as one of the minnows, with West Indies being the overwhelming favorites to win the world cup. On that day, West Indies was playing against Australia and therefore the BBC sent the crew and equipment to cover that match. For them, the India vs Zimbabwe match was not a very important one.

Those were bad days for colored people. British Media had a very negative outlook towards ex colonies . Australia at that time was being governed by the monarch therefore more emphasis was on their game.
5707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: April 24, 2020, 02:02:56 PM
Actually the aim, objective or the purpose of getting engage into playing gambling depends upon the gambler itself. It is not always about the money because there are gamblers who perceive playing gambling as for entertainment purpose only on which the aim is to relax themselves by playing.
Seen many times about this entertainment and fun purpose.

It's just the latter but the main is about making money with smaller amounts for not high risk takers but for those who made themselves a living  with gambling, they consider it as a source.

I think that up to now only professional poker players like the ones we see on Pokerstars in Tv.All other people and gamblers play to win money but only to face with losses. That is what happens to most of us unfortunately but the truth is we all play with the purpose to make always more and more money.
It's a fact and this entertainment reason, I think it's still there but not that the priority anymore.

A gambler will always aim to win and when we win, there's money = profit.
Well, it is true, this entertainment reason seems to be their way to escape the fact what they really after. I don't think that there are some people who only gamble without aiming to win money. There is no such person with the idea of burning money without expecting a return.

The aim was never to get entertained but to win money by which you can entertain yourself. I do not gamble for the sake of fulfilling my addiction I gamble when I feel I should try my luck to get some extra money which I can spend for my entertainment. Unfortunately it never always but sometimes it does.
5708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Analyst: "Covid-19 Could Spur More States to Legalize Online Casino" on: April 23, 2020, 03:15:55 PM
Don't know about governments asking it's people to gamble but people would certainly be much more attracted to online gambling in such circumstances. There are no clear future and people have very less thing to keep them entertained. Both of which makes gambling less risky and preferable.

Actually the government will be doing it. They will need funds to activate the economy and the best way to do so is by allowing people to gamble more and tax them.

Countries that are affected by the virus will take minimum six month to a year again to restart the economy, so things will change a lot in coming days.
5709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto predictions on: April 23, 2020, 02:42:48 PM
If you follow price prediction then do not follow it blindly. It indeed helps you to keep yourself prepared for the future but I have not seen it working for cryptocurrency.

On BTT we have Speculation on Bitcoin and Altcoin forum. Trading view is also a good place to check it and on Twitter there are many individuals who provide it for free. Just do a search on twitter and Google you will get the answer.
5710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this period killed your desire or exited it on: April 23, 2020, 02:37:17 PM

In situation like this how can I enjoy gambling therefore I am not gambling at the moment.
5711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xcard a scam? on: April 23, 2020, 07:10:07 AM
What's happening with Xcard? I participated in this bounty campaign and since months ago now everything seem quiet and no one is talking about the project, is Xcard a scam project or a failed project?

These are uncertain times and startups are struggling to raise funds. In general after the bounty is over they prepare for with fund raising or to get listed on an exchange. This is the period when they generally go silent. So, it is possible that they might be waiting now for things to become normal.

If it is a good project and if the team is genuine then you hsve to wait for them to respond patiently.
5712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Technology stop Election Malpractice? on: April 23, 2020, 07:05:19 AM
I am not sure how it will be implemented? but, it can be done. If every individual is provided a unique identification number  or alphanumeric ID on the Blockchain then the problem can be solve. To generate this ID they have to go through KYC.

The best part about Blockchain is that you cannot manipulate with this ID as once it is created you cannot delete or edit it.

But, will the government of these countries allow this to happen?

5713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: April 19, 2020, 10:55:24 AM
Evern after the lockdown is over I think it would be better for everyone to avoid crowded place and stay as much possible I side you house to avoid this virus. Untill a vaccine to cure this virus is out, which in my opinion will either end of this year or start of next year we need to keep ourselves safe by self isolating and following social distancing rules.
5714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: April 19, 2020, 10:50:03 AM
Pretty much frustrated with current situation and also being in lockdown for more than 20 days. I have spent most of my time by being on this forum, working on my project and watching movies on streaming apps.

The only time I went outside was when I needed some groceries or had to smoke. Else I am in my house and waiting for this shit to be over.
5715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: April 19, 2020, 10:44:37 AM
$350 000 is only speculation of the price of the ICO when it started trading only 1 out of 100 projects that can achieve it so the possibility to get prize of an allocation that is set only 1%
That was based on the ico price as the base price to determine how much worth the bounty was. it's rarely to see a campaign that used the rate on the exchange site as the base to determine the total reward for the bounty. The high reward is still possible even if that said 1% when it was created by a trusted company too. it's really difficult to predict these days.

ICO price is expectation and actual price is always a reality, which by the way is always bitter lol..

I still do not understand how does these project come with such an astonishing market price? When the market is struggling so much after 2018.
5716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2020, 10:40:56 AM
I think that it will happen sometime in the future.

I believe out of these three altcoins, which are Ethereum, EOS and BNB one will become the next  king of cryptocurrency. It is quiet hard but it will happen eventually.
5717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOBIT scam peoples in X100 ICO on: April 19, 2020, 10:36:43 AM
Y'all need to learn how to stay off this exchange. It has done more harm than any good in this industry. I don't know why some folks still trust this site and even invest over there. The saddest thing is that they have one of the poorest customer support in this industry. Place a request/call and it will never be answered Sad.

The problem in this world is that there is no cure for stupidity and greed. That is why we come across such topics quiet frequently in this forum.

It is a known scam exchange but stil you will hear people investing in projects by that exchange.
5718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: April 19, 2020, 10:31:16 AM
Undoubtedly both of them are important for a projects development and growth.

In my opinion an investor  takes more risk than a bounty hunter as he is investing his money. Bounty hunters are investing their time to earn some money.

In the end it is the project that benefits from these two individuals.
5719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Holders, Beware the Covid-19 Scammers on: April 19, 2020, 09:28:48 AM
If you want to donate for a particular cause you should always donate at the local level to people or organization whom you know. When you donate to some organization onine you should be aware about their work. Donating unknown people or organization will only help scammers or fraudsters.
5720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility Token on: April 19, 2020, 09:24:03 AM
We have seen a lot of token/coin with the term utility. Everyone come with a shit idea and say the coin will be utilized in this platform, network etc. But how many of them were ever succeeded? Mb8coin is yet to announce that their products can be bought with mb8coin. Lasr time I see they were discussing about accepting half with mb8coin. How can they say like this?
How many utility token/coin you know have real acceptance in their said/promised network? Please share some of them.

There have been a lot projects in crypto space who have used the world utility to utilise the investment of investors for their own benefits. Till today there are so many projects coming up with the same idea.

None of those utility tokens have actual usage and in my opinion it is always safe to stay away from such projects in the first place.
