581  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Confirm Your Info Email? on: February 09, 2022, 06:41:52 PM
Hi.  Well I know this email is coming from coinbase because when I log into my coinbase account, you see this message at the top for you to verify your info.

I just want to know what questions they ask exactly but I verify my information since they say it takes less than a minute to do.  But I don't want a situation where it ask me question then I'm not sure etc.

Okay so apparently the first question they ask is how much crypto do you plan on trading this year.  Then it ask your occupation.

I have zero idea how much I would trade as I never traded on coinbase before.  Do i just choose the lowest or second lowest option then?

Also where is the occupation for working online but you just gamble for your income?  I checked the industry options and it seems it has to be either

All other industries and services which is the last option?

I do see casino and gaming but obviously that means working at casinos or those type of gaming so certainly this isn't the option?

582  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase Confirm Your Info Email? on: February 09, 2022, 06:24:07 PM
I gotten this email a few times already.  It basically says

Confirm your info by so and so date

Financial regulations require us to confirm your info by certain date or your account will be restricted.

I logged into coinbase and see this message at the top.  My questions are

1.  Before I click on verify my info, what are the questions they are going to ask?  I know i have to verify it anyway but just want to know before I click on it.  The thing is my coinbase account has been verified a long time ago.  It does say most for most customers, it only takes a minute.

2.  Can I deposit/withdraw or even trade on my coinbase account right now if I do not verify my info?  Or I can still do this until that date that my info must be confirmed by?
583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: February 09, 2022, 04:33:16 AM
Seems like the only way would be stake them?  But issue is they don't give you that much interest compared to stablecoins?
584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Meet a racist malware targetting extension based wallets on: February 08, 2022, 09:24:51 PM
What is the exact reason for this again?  Is it because concern of issue with their own government?
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet Hacking through Telegram on: February 08, 2022, 07:05:08 PM
So when you click on a link sent by someone, you are at risk then?  What about things like discord?  Such as imagine you want to join a discord group and someone gives you the link to the group?  Now assuming when you click on it and its the actual group... is it possible you get hacked just for clicking that link because even though it gets you to the group, it still gives malware?
586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: February 08, 2022, 06:27:06 AM
So if I'm back in the US, then order the wise card.  Then when I go back outside the US again... how sure are you that I can link my neteller to this wise card?  I don't think it would link because my neteller is registered with a nonus address which I am most of the year... and this wise card would be registered in my name but with a US address.

So how would I get the neteller funds to this wise card then?  In the end, I want to get funds to my US bank account.  I do know if I could get funds into my wise card... then I would have no issue sending it to my bank of america account right?  But I don't believe i could send neteller funds to this wise card.
587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: February 05, 2022, 07:27:38 PM
Well the thing is I'm out of the Us most of the time.  But I could have it shipped to my US address and pick it up when I am there.  So when I'm back outside the US again so I could log into my neteller account, are you positive I could transfer the neteller funds to that wise card?  The thing is I'm pretty sure this is not possible.  The reason being my neteller account which I use outside the US is linked to my non US address which I been using for years.  How could I link or transfer my neteller funds to a Wise card which has a US address?

I am pretty sure neteller would not allow this?  I do know for years, you could get a neteller or skrill debit card.... and use it to withdraw cash from ATMs.  I had done this few times with the skrill card years ago.  This was until they no longer allowed you to use the skrill card anymore for countries that are outside Europe etc.  Thus my skrill card is registered outside the US but its not in Europe.

So doesn't that mean there is no way I could transfer my neteller funds to this wise card?
588  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Beware of Kucoin Phishing Sites on: February 05, 2022, 06:43:36 PM
The third link in the picture is the official site though right?

Now if you use paid antivirus like kaspersky or norton... does that protect you?  If you use adblocker or ad blocking sites... those sites still show up?  But only on google?

I remember people said if you use brave browser, its safer and wouldn't have much of those phishing sites?  But last time i used brave, i remember it showed lot of fake sites though?  So which browser is the best then?  Or as long as you use google, these phishing links will show up?
589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the relation between the Seed Words and the Private key? on: February 05, 2022, 06:28:36 PM
Do most wallets have both seed word and private key?  Example nano ledger you get the seed phrase when you first start it up.  I don't recall there ever being a seed phrase.  Now with waves wallet for example, there is a seed phrase and a private key.  But I am not sure why anyone want to write the private key as oppose to seed phrase because the private key seemed at be at least 50 characters long?
590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New stealer that steals data from crypto wallets and 2FA plugins on: February 05, 2022, 06:26:50 PM
So if you have basic windows defender and malwarebytes on laptop... its completely useless against it?

What about paid antivirus like kaspersky or norton?
591  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New here, GAS FEES- what is the most economical way to move assets around. on: February 05, 2022, 06:22:33 PM
What is the price range to move ETH coins right now at the moment?  Someone had told me a while back to just sell my ETH coin from binance because even if I download wallet for it or found a place to store it... when I need to move it... I have to pay ETH fees.  But the fees back then I recall was around 50 dollars.  Is that still the same right now?
592  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's Bitcoin Fork claiming guide (and service) on: February 05, 2022, 06:21:10 PM
I kept btc in electrum a while back.  I then sent the btc to a nano ledger s much later on.  When I went and claimed the bch, I remember downloading electroncash to claim the bch and it was simple.  It required entering the electrum seed and then bch showed up and i sent the bch to nano ledger s.  I went and claimed the bch a lot later than most people.

I have not claimed bitcoin gold or bitcoin sv yet.  I also heard there is bitcoin diamond and bitcoin private.  Now to claim bitcoin gold, you just need your electrum seed right?  People back then said all you need to do is download coinomi on your android/iphone and that was it and simple.  But it could be a bit complicated?  Did read something about deriviation paths which seem confusing.  But someone said you could also claim your bitcoin gold by going to https://bitcoingold.org/electrumg/ and its much more simpler?  So just seed and thats it?  Thing is I know after claiming btg... i could send it to nano ledger since it supports btg.

I read with bitcoin sv, you go here?

https://electrumsv.io/

But claiming it would be a lot complicated?  The thing is when bitcoin sv was forked, my bch already moved from electrum to nano ledger.  So is my electrum seed still what is needed to claim it?  I heard people talk about replay or lack of replay protection and said this would be confusing.  Would bitcoin sv claim be the hardest one to do about it?  Also people say when claiming these btc forks, first thing is make sure electrum btc wallet is empty which I done so a while back.  But then people said start from the highest value fork to low value.  Do you agree on this?  Since I claimed bch a while back, I should go

bitcoin sv, btg, bitcoin diamond/private?

The one complicated thing here is after claiming bitcoin sv, where would I even send it to?  I don't see any exchange that I possibly could use to send it to?  I wouldn't mind just selling it either.  With btg, well nano ledger would work.

Is it worth to claim bitcoin diamond and private?  Also you would recommend using a different computer to download all these software?  I did remember downloading electroncash in my main pc...and even kept the program there after installing it.  But i had moved the bch to nano ledger.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 Waves Tech - a powerful blockchain-agnostic ecosystem on: February 05, 2022, 05:57:10 PM
Was there an airdrop recently or something?  If so, as long as you have waves in your wallet, you would get it?  Or that is something else?

Also, who here has their waves stored in a hardware wallet as in the nano ledger s... as oppose to the other two methods of either having a seed phrase and using waves exchange or using an email/password and using waves exchange?

Years ago, you only got the waves seed phrase and you used the waves lite client... then few more clients came after that and now its the waves exchange.

I have to assume most people use the waves seed as how they store waves?  Who here does the email/password method?  I assume anyone that does that method uses two factor authenticator right?  One concern with using the email/password method is what happens if you lose access to your email?  Then you have no more access to your account?  With coinbase or gemini, well even if you lose access to your email, I'm pretty sure if you submit your documents, then you could most likely still access your account with a new email address.  But waves... there isn't?  So there is a huge risk of this using the email/password method?

But if you want to make your waves as secure as possible without concern of malware or keylogger on your windows pc which you use waves exchange, does everyone agree to use it with the nano ledger s?  So if you do that... that would mean one would need to create a new waves account so to speak?   Thus you add the waves app to nano ledger s and basically it will be a brand new waves account with no waves?  Then you log into your waves exchange client with your password, then you send the waves to the waves address in the nano ledger s?  Then once you do that... you would no longer have waves in your waves exchange account and everything would be in the nano ledger s... which mean you won't have concern of any malware on your computer?

So basically your nano ledger s seed phrase... which is your backup for the hardware wallet which would restore your coins... this would then restore your waves as well?  I store btc and bch in the nano ledger s.  The thing is I read you need to use waves exchange with the nano ledger s together... which makes it much more confusing to use.  Can anyone who has their waves used together with their nano ledger s... give more detail to this process?  I want to do this but process seem complicated because it isn't like btc or bch where you download the app and just send etc.
594  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: February 05, 2022, 05:47:53 PM
Do people here really want btc to be half a million or million dollars?  One issue seem to be if that is the case, wouldn't there be so much rich people then?  Also if say it hits half a million, wouldn't everything be more expensive?  Thus a million dollar home might be double that of even more?
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet Hacking through Telegram on: February 05, 2022, 05:46:00 PM
I never used telegram.  But is this different from you going to a website and clicking on it or its about the same?  I heard mixed opinions from people on say whether you visit an unsecured website... some people say its possible to get malware/keylogger that way.  Others say it is not possible or very hard because you need to not only download that file... exe file... but you also need to open it.

So for example let say your main laptop, you do all your crypto, banking and everything on it.  But you do your best to not click on dodgy links or visit dodgy websites... if you go on telegram on your laptop and get one of these messages and you download these files, is your computer compromised or not?  So if you just have windows defender and malwarebytes, that wouldn't work?  But if you have paid antivirus like kaspersky or norton, that might protect you better or its the same thing?

Also does that mean if you have online wallets on your computer, then you would get hacked as well?  Example say you have electrum or those other software wallets on your computer.  But you still need to enter your password to enter electrum.  Does that mean if your computer gets hacked, they could record all your keystrokes and everything so the moment you type in your electrum password to get in electrum to access it on your laptop, then they could literally just log in electrum themselves and send the coins easily or not?

Also this talk seems to be about android phone.  But what if its IOS?  If you have mobile wallets, can you get hacked this way as well if you using iphone?

Has any hacking like this occurred where your password manager got compromised as well?  Thus malware and keylogger seem to be the most dangerous thing to be concerned of?  Because if you get keylogger, I heard someone could record every single thing you pressed.  So essentially, they also see your screen as you type everything?

596  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis exchange? on: February 03, 2022, 12:14:10 AM
Hi.  My neteller is USD not EUR.

I want to convert my neteller USD into crypto without paying a lot of fees.  8% is beyond ridiculous.  So I wanted to know my other options.
597  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis exchange? on: February 02, 2022, 07:09:22 PM
You mean converting skrill to neteller?  I think you can do this but you still have to pay a fee for this.  I have neteller and skrill usd accounts but all my funds are in neteller now.

I mean there is really no way to convert neteller to crypto?  I know you and someone else mentioned paybis... but they seem to charge 8% fee for this.  That is way too much.
598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: February 01, 2022, 09:21:05 PM
If I order the wise card... do I order it and have it shipped to me in the US?  Or do I have it shipped to me outside the US?  So this wise debit card has nothing to do with neteller?

So once I get this card... if i link it to my neteller account... how would that even work?   Don't neteller need to confirm my wise card address matches with the neteller account address or something like that?  Again im outside the US most of the time.

599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is available on NO KYC Crypton Exchange on: February 01, 2022, 09:16:29 PM

I have neteller USD that are gambling funds.  These are non US funds but I am American.

How can I trade it for crypto without paying a lot of fees?
