Any comment on 8 sided dice for Sic Bo?

I think people would be fine with it if their intent was to play Sic Bo itself.

Would it be possible for you to list out the house edges ? Are they the same as traditional Sic Bo ?
582  Economy / Gambling / Re: What games are new or don't yet exist? Or what do you like? on: September 28, 2014, 01:51:03 PM
scrabbles, dont know how it would be set up...but it would be nice to see  educational games, might bring bitcoin awareness to  a new level.

There are programs to make the best word with a given board and given words.

It is really hard to include skill based games into gambling, as (near) perfect play is very very easy for a computer to find, and this is impossible to stop unlike real tournaments.

You could find a way to give the lender your coinbase account.

If you ran away, he could take the BTC from your coinbase account.
Yeah, no. I have several thousands of dollars linked to that account and my SSN. I think that is a little too much for a ~$350 loan.

I'd rather trust an escrow with 10,000$ than a newb with 350$.
584  Other / Meta / Re: need help with tag on: September 26, 2014, 11:28:50 AM
Tell me the image url you want.

There are many possible errors such as :-

You give a non-direct link with redirects
You don't give a image link, but a site link
You upload to an unsupported image server.

I suggest imgur, and the URL should always be i.imgur.com/(code).jpg (jpg may be something like png instead)

Then you can use
Code:
[img]i.imgur.com/(code).jpg[/img]

How about chest and Billiard ?, i like playing them online, and i think i'd like to play with bitcoin.

People have flawless bots for chess that play every move perfect, so chess wouldn't work.

And I don't think anyone has ever implemented Billiard online with stakes.
I don't think anyone would play it.

587  Other / Meta / Re: why only 5 messages per hour.?? on: September 26, 2014, 06:51:26 AM
Even the newest of new members can post ten times an hour. (once every 360 seconds= 6 minutes, 10 times per hour)
After around a week or two, it will drop to around once every minute (60 times an hour !)
After around two months it will drop to 30 seconds (120 times an hour !)
And finally, it will reach 12 seconds after around 3 months, dropping by an additional second every month and a half. (300 times an hour, finally increasing to 900 times per hour)

So, don't worry, your time will drop, rapidly.

Also, PM limits for anti-spamming

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult.

588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCSY] Securitysys coin | ICO with Escrow | HEFTY1 PoW only on: September 25, 2014, 06:56:36 PM

i'm dislike for this.. sciakysystem is really cheap, he was really interested in this project since the ANN was published, not only for the escrow but also as investor and miner.. i dont see why he should stole my funds.. moreover, with his low and fixed fee i can keep unchanged the price of SCSY with or without escrow..

truthly talking, devthedev seems interested only in escrow, not also in this coin..i really don't like this thing.. anyways, let me see how goes escrowed ICO with sciakysystem and eventually i will contact devthedev..

Yes, that is because devthedev is a professional escrow and sciaky is just a random newb.

Also, how can you prove that sciaky is not just an alt of yours, made to pretend escrow ?

He has no reputation at all, him being an escrow will not allow anyone.

Your choice is simple :- Take a professional escrower and have people really invest in your coin or take a newb that is interested in your coin, but lose any potential investors.
589  Economy / Services / Re: Will do anything for some BTC on: September 25, 2014, 01:17:35 PM
Just flip a burger!

And if you still want BTC...buy BTC with it!

No smilies, just being serious!

This makes absolutely no sense at all.  Thanks for bumping me though I guess.

More insight into your job , how many hours do you have free ?

You have a degree in CS, what can you do with it ?

Can you develop things ? Or can you fix up computers ?

590  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin is the NEW DOLLAR! Teespring tee-shirt! Check it out! on: September 25, 2014, 12:52:49 PM
How much are these shirts? I want one pm me details thanks.

20$ Hanes Hagless Tee
33$ Gildan 8 oz Heavy Blend Hoodie
22$ Gildan 6.1 oz Long Sleeve
23$ Canvas Ringspun V-Neck

All of these are in the link from the OP : http://teespring.com/BitcoinIsTheDollar#pid=2&cid=2397&sid=front

@OP

These t-shirts look pretty decent if my only goal was to support Bitcoin, but I was looking for those T-shirts that have some really awesome graphics with Bitcoin in them, not just the Bitcoin logo and some text.

Anyhow, good job working on them Smiley

Escrow Address is ready: 1NLH9CfMfXmS5iqm84odRfX7Ypac1ptG1D !!

thanks, OP up to date!

Hey, I might have invested.

If you'd use a trusted member for escrow as was suggested to you.

Exactly.
His use as an escrow is a very very bad idea, as he has NO reputation at all.

If you really want it for cheaper, it is a better idea to not use an escrow rather than use this random dude as an escrow.

i can do the escrow, but i want 0.5BTC fixed, so not depending on the amount escrowed.. and i want it just you accept, not at ICO's end..

Thanks, pm sent with my offer!

I wouldn't suggest using sciakysystem as the escrow provider. He has no feedback, unknown security practices and there would be no repercussions if he were to run with investors funds.

...says a competitor...  Angry  sorry but i have no trust 'cause i started to provide escrows since few time.. at your start also you had no feedback man.. i think provide escrows is a business in a moment where ICOs are so popular, leave people do the same you did and doing

No, you don't become an escrow because you want to escrow and gain trust over time.
You need to first gain trust through honest trading and then begin to escrow.

Do you see every newbie coming here to escrow ?
I could walk here, as I have more feedback (untrusted, but feedback nonetheless) and escrow then ?

You need an escrow with a huge trade history and documented security for the job, I'd recommend DevTheDev.

I have no idea what business plan the OP has where 2.5% of the ICO makes a huge difference, but increasing the price will still get more sales, if you use DevTheDev as an escrow instead of sciakysystem.
592  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ [ANN] [Famous Lender] Escrow Service by grtthegreat [1% Fee] ★☆★ on: September 25, 2014, 12:38:46 PM
Umm I didn't say you were lending out escrow money. It's falsely advertising because what makes you a 'famous lender' exactly with 8 trades of pretty much dust? It seems like you're using this as a big sell. And please don't delete my posts. I'll just create a new thread if you would prefer me to share my criticisms there. Doesn't look good when you just self-mod and delete posts.

I just deleted the posts because it was not the suitable topic for posting the things. And
Quote
It seems like you're using this as a big sell.
, I actually didn't understand that.

Ie you're using it as a defining quality of why you should be trusted. You're not a famous lender, that's my point, nor should you use that as a tagline for your services because it's an exaggeration and seems deceptive.

And don't forget that a lot of his trades seem to be people going second, and giving loans does not prove anything of the seller.

I have left negative trust corresponding to what I believe, and I'd recommend that you do that too if you want to make sure it does not get deleted.

I'm pretty sure you are not a scammer, but you are in no position to escrow.
593  Economy / Services / Re: DevScrow | ICO Escrow Service - 2.5% | Biometric Secured 👥 on: September 25, 2014, 12:30:51 PM
Hey everyone!

Starting tomorrow morning I'll only be providing escrow services for ICO's and standard trades >= 2BTC
*Users I've provided escrow for in the past can use Devscrow for trades of any value.

Any users needing an escrow provider for trades valued at less than 2BTC will be asked to contact monbux.

I appreciate your continued support and I look forward to providing escrow for your ICO in the future!

Thanks

I guess you've become too high-caliber for us peasants dealing in mBTC
It's been awesome watching your reputation as an escrow grow over the years months mere twelve weeks.
This escrow service has been a booming success so far, hope to see it reach new heights Smiley

P.S. I've not really done any trades >10$ worth using an escrow for in the last few months. Will you still escrow for me if I need it ?

Looking forward to seeing this service branded on every new altcoin Cheesy

594  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who was the antagonist in the film "Titanic"? on: September 24, 2014, 06:14:09 PM
Was it the iceberg?

Other than Man vs Man conflict from which the idea of an antagonist comes, there is also Man vs Nature and Man vs Self.

Don't forget that Man vs Man can come in other forms such as society too.

Antagonist is not precise enough, but the factors of conflict would be :

Man vs Nature : Yes, the iceberg
Man vs Man: Cal messes up everything and comes in between Jack and Rose
Man vs Society: Even without Cal, Rose and Jack couldn't work out because of societal pressure.
595  Other / Meta / Re: Idea for a new trust system. on: September 24, 2014, 06:07:16 PM
Escrows are often sent to completely new addresss. If the trusted address holds no coins, trusted key pairs can be sold with the trusted accounts. Nothing changed.

READ
THE
OP

This also means selling private keys would be rather difficult as it's not just transferring a username / password. The private key CAN'T change, so the original owner still can go back on the deal at any point in time.

Despite the fact that zetaray didn't see the fact that the private key didn't change, his point was sorta right.

It is already possible to completely secure an account by PMing your public key (BTC address or PGP pub ) and then signing a message with it to reclaim your account and reset email and password.

I doubt a noticeable number of trusted accounts have changed hands, so this is not as pressing an issue as it could be.
596  Other / Meta / Re: Just found out I was banned, so was a bunch of other people in my dorm on: September 24, 2014, 04:43:17 PM
Me and a couple friends had accounts here, just found out I was banned for no reason. My account here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=165035

Buddy's account:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=355797

We share a dorm. Inb4 shitposting. I can show you Hero Members with shittier posts than all of my friends combined. My account had great posts. Just lol at this forum banning policy. Not even bothering with delivering a legitimate reason to ban.

My account got banned today and really don't understand why..
My account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile

I've emailed them and am waiting for their response but I don't agree with the way they just ban people without giving a reason or anything. People feel man!

You can't click that link directly, as it will make each user link to their own profile.

Go to a post of your old account, right click on the name there and copy that link.

For example, my link would be : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148258

It will be the same as your "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile", but will have ;u=NUMBERS at the end.

597  Economy / Services / Re: GAW MINERS PAYS FOR YOUR SIGNATURE >>> HIGH RATES 50posts = 0.1BTC JOIN US! on: September 23, 2014, 02:38:56 AM
For now we aren't planning to increase the rates, if that's what you're asking.
I'm just a campaign manager, but appreciate all ideas and will be happy to send them to GAW, tell me more.

We have an improved version of GAW logo in the Sr./Hero signatures (courtesy of medUSA). You can update whenever you like.

What I think crazyearner was looking for was more integration with GAW miners.

Maybe a loyalty program with any participating Sr. / Hero members getting a free 1 MH/s hashlet genesis(~0.02 BTC) every two months months of participation in the program, and to Full members, every four months.
I'm pretty sure it would barely increase the cost of running, but would be a nice incentive.

Alternatively, maybe give ~5 hashlet 1MH/s each month, to random participants who have contributed the most, in the form of one hashlet solo for the most active poster, and four runner up prizes of hashlet genesis.
This would still total up to 60$ (~0.12 BTC), a bit above what a single new participant would be paid.

TL;DR: Giving out a few free miners would cost a fraction of the campaign costs, and would help boost peoples' interest in this campaign.

Someone from white list, please, help me to complete a trade

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=358698;sa=showPosts

i want to buy this coin, we already agreed.

Need escrow to start a trade,

Thank you

Contact John or ms.escrow They are the top trusted.
John comes the first in reputation where as ms comes second.
Below are their threads,

I feel that DevtheDev still would be safer, not because of reputation, but because of security practices.

I'm sure that none of the three will intentionally do anything to your coins, but DevtheDev stops external factors too with his practices.
599  Economy / Services / Re: Minimalism Headers For BTC! on: September 22, 2014, 04:16:18 PM
Welcome to the forums, good to see a first post being constructive instead of spam Smiley

If you are offering the service for "pay as much as you want", or tips only, then mentioning that in the title itself will help garner attention.
But this will not be sufficient for any self-respecting designer, so I recommend you do this only for a short time, till your portfolio includes some examples from within the forums.
600  Economy / Services / Re: Need a Signature Created - Paying .125 BTC or a Silverwallet for the Best Design on: September 22, 2014, 02:31:59 PM
Another amazing idea would be to offer either a SilverWallet or 0.12 to any participants in the signature campaign Tongue

Or maybe make it something like if you participate for two months, on the third month you can ask for a SilverWallet instead of the regular 0.1 BTC payment.
