582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost access to my bitcoin wallet... on: July 22, 2023, 08:26:23 AM
so a few years back i had a few bitcoin on a hard drive but today i tried to access the harddrive and i ended up spilling a glass full of water all over it and now it wont boot up.

what are my options?
The optical drive of it could still be done by some experts but you know that it's going to cost you money. And much worse if there's really a balance in there like a hefty amount of Bitcoin.

You should only get those recovery experts that you trust because if those are the experts that you don't know then they may create a scene that it's totally empty.

Because you have to tell them what you are up to and why you need to recovery what's inside the HDD.
583  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some financial secrets that you know of? on: July 22, 2023, 06:57:18 AM
Do not be showy to the people you know that you've got money or else they'll come to you and ask to borrow money. And when you don't lend them money, you're bad in their eyes.

That's going to put a possible pressure to you if you can't take those type of feedbacks with your action. And it is the reason that if you've got money to spend in the things you like, always remain lowkey.

Staying lowkey is good that is if you are a starter in your financial process because there is a financial level you get to you can not stay lowkey, I mean people already know you even if you decide to stay on lowkey. However, back to your first point, I don't think giving is bad but you only have to be reasonable. If you are not a huge spender on things that are not necessary then to invest will be a challenge.
Starter or not, being lowkey is like an attitude. Even you'll reach at the top level and ceiling of success, you are you and you can decide whether to get yourself remain as a lowkey person.

I've known successful and rich people that are continuing to remain lowkey and they're successful about it. People don't even know how successful and rich they are so, there's really no starting point or ending point on being one.
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin competition. on: July 22, 2023, 05:14:25 AM
My new thought about the low investors rate on Bitcoin, this came to my mind this evening and I want to share my thoughts with everyone and not keeping it alone.
Bitcoin investors are much more than altcoins we all know that but thats not important, the important thing is Bitcoin is supposed to have more investors now if only their was no altcoins in the market, if you checked the numbers of investors you will understand what am trying to say. The competition in the market is making more investors not to invest more capital on Bitcoin.
If we use our fiat banks as an example, imagine we have only one bank in the country every citizens will want to open the bank and starts using it but if the banks are more people will spread and use other Banks.
If there's only Bitcoin in the market more investors will invest in Bitcoin because there is no competition. Although the price rate is much more than other coin, but people will still invest on altcoins because that's how Bitcoin price started so low.
That's okay, the total number of altcoins in the market is almost unlimited but all of them manage to stay in the competition. We all know that we're having the same thoughts of what if most of those market capitalization that are being spreaded in the altcoins goes to bitcoin.

It's going to be enormous and the price of Bitcoin will surely get a huge bump.

But that's okay, competitions are everywhere in every market that's why you can't think of the best of it. In the end, the best will still be prevailed and that's why many retail and institutional investors are always choosing the best which is BTC.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ERC20 to Bitcoin without KYC ? on: July 21, 2023, 08:47:51 PM
To be honest, central swaps like SimpleSwaps are too risky for me, the past has shown where this can lead.
Small amounts will do in them but you can't even be sure with them because they might even ask you some KYC eventually. You'll never know how they do the game even if they call themselves quick swaps or whatever.

@OP just like anyone else is telling you. There is no other way but you knew it already, you need patience in order for you to do it.

But I know that if it's for travel, you really want to share it to the people that you're from place to place and that can't be hidden. If someone asks you to borrow money, tell them that they're not part of your budget.
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: July 21, 2023, 04:53:56 PM
Every time I see a news like this that happens in El Salvador, it's interesting on how this country have been doubted before when they've first announced their adoption of Bitcoin as their legal tender doing well in terms of progress.

And I think that there will be more of these companies and startups to come to them as they've got the same goal and focus with Bitcoin, crypto. I can't wait to see that the majority of these media especially those that focuses on the financial sector cover them at most times and other countries of the same.
588  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in Marketing on: July 21, 2023, 03:37:03 PM
Anyone who thinks that marketing isn't important, shouldn't handle any business. It is of course very important. Without marketing, no one would recognize your brand. You might have a small customer base, and you will be stuck with that small "loyal" customer base for the rest of your life if there is no advertisement and marketing of your brand/company. Yeah, the customers might spread the word among their friends and families, but those people won't remember it, because for them it was just another "gossip". But if you market and advertise your brand/company, those friends and families will recognize the brand because they have heard about it and will make them want to try it. Investing in marketing is the best thing you can do. It might be expensive, but the returns and the results might stun you!
There are some exception within this but it's very rare to see a company that doesn't need it. It's like one in a million or even more than that. Word of mouth and getting some free marketing from your repeating customers is a big help.

But as a company and business, you can't always rely on that and you need to be consistent with marketing. It's true that you've said whoever thinks it's not important, needs to know more the basics of owning and running a business.
589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To transfer from PayPal to Crypto Without KYC on: July 20, 2023, 11:55:38 PM
thank you , but as i wrote he told me if he want to buy crypto directly from PayPal then he must complete his TAX and he told me he do not want to complete his tax from papal for now
If he's from the US then there's really few options but to comply on what's being asked by PayPal. Because he might even have problem moving his funds there to another one.

I think one is to have that money from his PayPal moved to his bank account and withdraw that from there and look for an OTC market and have that funds deposited on your wallet.

Another option is after withdrawing money from his PayPal -> bank account is to look for people that's willing to do a P2P deal.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: July 20, 2023, 11:03:30 PM
I think its far worse than what we worried now. Twitter is definitely not as profitable as Instagram or Facebook because its marketing targeting is not very good. Its ads are inefficient. Twitter userbase is very different than average Instagram userbase so they don't spend a lot anyways. I think Elon must understand he can't compensate losses only through twitter blue. He needs to convince advertisors to generate more money.
We can see that Twitter has really to do it.

Look at what Facebook did recently, despite being profitable with a lot of ads going in and out onto the platform. They've just launched the blue tick and meta verified for each profile.

There's a monthly pay on it just like what Twitter is asking for its blue tick from its users. So, with that move from meta, they really are trying to extract every possible source of revenue for them.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the upcoming LTC halving a market mirage? on: July 20, 2023, 10:32:27 PM
I already lost my confidence on this project after the creator sold all his holdings last bull run and just work for it like a regular employee. If the owner decided to take profit then why investors should still invest on this token?
Me neither.

I've already lost it as well because of what happened in the past. Two halvings have came before and there's really nothing that changed at all. That's why if you're just for the transfers, no doubt that Litecoin is a good coin.

But if you're up for it as an investment, it's going to be a matter of your preference and these events are good to have it to take many attention but you'll be unsure if they'll have a huge impact.
592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 19, 2023, 11:58:18 PM
Having mentor is without a doubt one of the best ways to avoid making mistakes you can find, however there are very few traders out there which enjoy the fortune of having a mentor, and there are many reasons for this, very few traders are profitable on the markets and even fewer can tell you why they are profitable at all, and if that was not enough there are many traders out there which do not want to teach their techniques as it took them years to refine them, so your average trader has no choice but to try to learn how to trade on their own.
Lucky are those new traders that have an active mentor that teaches them the best strategies that they've come up over their trading career.

And they're even luckier if there's no price that they can define their mentorship to them as if they're just friends and it's all good whether you'll give them something for the fee or none.

Typicall, with these mentors, they won't spend a lot of time to stay on one person if they know that they've got no money to for them. That's why they're truly lucky if they found to teach them.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 19, 2023, 11:09:53 PM
On my research, it says to only Stake on huge platforms, such as Coinbase.
That's already a mistake. Do you know that staking on huge platforms like Coinbase still gives you a risk because you don't own the keys there?

As far as I can tell, the annual return stays at 17.66% for the duration.
Is there any drawback I'm missing?
Why don't people just buy Cryptos that they can stake?
It's because that APY changes over time, the more people that will start to stake then the rate drops. And that's why many just prefer to hold it and have it instant on their wallets if anything happens, they can sell it.
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going to Bitcoin events on: July 18, 2023, 05:17:09 PM
If there's one near to my place, I'd love to connect with those people that has the same interest as mine. But I am no longer the same as before that I'll go anywhere as long as I know how to go there and if I've got a free time to participate.

Most of these events have come back because most of them became passive when the pandemic has came.

It's more interesting if most of these events will be in the form of webinar.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: July 18, 2023, 03:19:00 PM
I don't think the price of the bnb can drop that much and you can buy at that time. BNB marketing is expanding rapidly and their number of investors is increasing every day so you will never get a big dip.
They don't need any marketing anymore because BNB is already famous and the reach that it has got is too wide.

If you don't want to buy now then you can trade where your profit will be less but you won't be short of money.
If someone is long term on BNB, he has to take note that the time now is a considerable time to buy. Before the bull run, everything is cheap.

And when that comes, you might never see the price that it has been before and I've seen it happen for some altcoins and possible for BNB.

596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: July 17, 2023, 11:22:41 PM
It is important to track your losses and profit. Because with that, you're able to distinguish if you're a profitable trader or you just keep on losing.

At the end, you'll still be emotional whether you track it or not because that's what trading is for. Even if you're not going to say that you're not an emotional trader.

That will still push you to look at your progress and the pressure will remain as you do your trades. IMO, it's okay to track those.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: July 17, 2023, 10:23:52 PM
Why I think that Dogecoin will go that far?

It's the most beloved of the community ever since the pop up of these meme coins. Maybe you haven't seen Dogecoin in the past, it's a fun coin that everybody loves.

But maybe, not you and you haven't really seen its existence even before. The majority of these meme coins will be gone but Doge will stay.

PS: I don't hold Dogecoin.

That's because most "meme" coins are straight clones of Dogecoin. You simply can't beat the real thing. I don't get why people keep buying SHIBA and PEPE like crazy. These coins are "fool's gold" to say the least. The real action is on cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. They're serious projects meant for serious use in the real world.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dogecoin remains the only "meme" coin in existence. Most people will become "rekt" due to bad investment decisions. The hype is just getting started, so expect to see new "meme" coins appear in the timebeing. Just my thoughts Grin
That's true.

People think that there's always the next big thing or even compared as the next Dogecoin. They never learn from the past and that's why it's always the original that stays and becomes the best of its form.

Although the hype is still there but it's no longer fresh so, it's inevitable that there will always be those new meme coins that's being set to the market and being bought by the people.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To Understand the Potential of BTC, What we Must Know? on: July 17, 2023, 09:18:54 PM
I have that point of view before that it's really made to be against the fiat system. But everything is being set and changes that it's a great alternative instead of having that view that it should be against.

And the government is afraid of it due to the fact that they have no control over it. That's all that they're thinking of and that's why they're against to it.

Other than that, they have to recognize the power of the people and this is what Bitcoin is all about that has made a financial disruption and they need to realize that.

600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Bull/Bear Market Which Do you Prefer? on: July 16, 2023, 07:49:59 PM
I don't like bear market but I do buy whenever the market is on that phase.

Most newbies don't like bear market as well because they're all discouraged to hold by that time because the mindset they've got is that the entire market is about to collapse.

I'm a bullish person so the choice is obvious but I guess this topic is just all for the sake of arguing why someone has to be bullish or bearish and OP has already answered it.
