5902  Other / Politics & Society / Re: French Government Prohibits Protesting and Freedom of Speech – Major Crack Down on: January 10, 2019, 12:31:36 PM
You can't expect people to get fucked over and do nothing.

France has been peacefully protesting for decades. The consequences?

-We voted NO on EU referendum, government ignored the result and did it
-We demanded the non privatisation of a number of public companies, they did it
-We demanded the law deregulated the economy and they still did it, using a dictatorship tool known as Article 13 allowing government to do whatever they want

French governments was caught having a private black militia answering to no one, using weapons and having means of pressure on people representatives.

What do you want us to do? Stay calm in the house?

Well congratz that's what's happening. Movement is dying and less and less people care about. But the real solution would be to go to paris and get rid of our government while we still can...

Now that a nationalist force is rioting

Can you please stop saying shit? This movement is completely apolitical and it must stay so. There are communists, monarchists, anarchists, liberals, conservatives, nationalists... All working together to get those fuckers down. Don't bring in some kind of "it's the left" or "it's the right". It's useless and tends to divide fighters when they finally managed to find some common grounds.

I was in the protests and I think it's beautiful when you get a blackblock (strong left) protecting a monarchist while the communist cohalition is fighting of a police charge.
Don't bring division in this. Let the movement remain a symbol of unity for the French people.

HAHAHAHA a political. That's fucking hilarious. Fucking French people always wanting it both ways. I am not dividing anything, you are. The fact is this was a direct response to socialist policies, regardless if any of the dumb commies there understand it. I was noting how people treat an actual movement initiated by the right, they treat every little thing they do much different than as to say if the left went and burned dozens of cars down and assaulted people. There always seems to be excuses for leftist violence. Suddenly now with the yellow vests everyone is dithering over issues they never cared about before. Also, this is way bigger than France, so cool your baguettes with your possessive talk as if it is only France.
5903  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why did Macron arrest Eric Drouet on: January 10, 2019, 12:25:39 PM
Yep. Looks like the protest is over right? xD

How sad you know so little about the happenings in your own nation.

You're delusional. Never said the protest is over, said it was dying. And it is.

Last Saturday we didn't even reach the 50k members while a month ago we were at 135k. Reaching peak value at 250k at the begining of the protests.

How is 50k compared to 250k not a dying movement?

Same goes with support of the population that goes down everyweek, from an overwhelming 80% to a still impressive 55%. How is that not a dying movement?

And where did you get those numbers from? Did you go out and count? Oh the TV... I am sure the TV is never wrong...

If it was dying why do they need to basically start arresting anyone protesting to stop it xD

You believe anyone in a position of "authority" no matter what they tell you.
5904  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CURRENT POLITICAL SITUATION IN AFRICA on: January 10, 2019, 12:23:50 AM
Over the past few weeks, almost all the news on major international media networks like Aljazeera and CNN concerning politics in Africa is all negative. If it is not about protestants demonstrating for the president of Sudan to step down, then there is also a delay in the announcement of a presidential elections in the DRC. So what is causing all these political unrest in Africa, is it the political leaders or the citizenry?

well i can tell you the future politicial situation in africa

Yeah... I am sure China has nothing to do with it at all.
5905  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why did Macron arrest Eric Drouet on: January 09, 2019, 10:08:47 PM
You keep believing your glowing idiot box until Macron is ripped right out of his holiday chalet and ripped apart by a mob.

Sure.

Again, you say that while not living in France because you know better I guess.

The fact that violences are decreasing, number of protestors are decreasing, support of the movement inside the population is decreasing, are not at all the sign that the movement is dying and that Macron has already won.

Please share with us the infinite wisdom that allow you to know for a fact that contrary to all evidences, in fact, French people aren't bending the knees once again and are going to take the dictator down.

I was there, I was in the protests, I was one of those who wanted to take the guillotine out again to get rid of him. Nobody wants that, most of the people just want a peaceful protest.

Yep. Looks like the protest is over right? xD

How sad you know so little about the happenings in your own nation.
5906  Other / Politics & Society / Re: French Government Prohibits Protesting and Freedom of Speech – Major Crack Down on: January 09, 2019, 10:05:11 PM
Funny how no one had this moral dilemma over rioting when the people doing it were on the left and or some kind of minority. Now that a nationalist force is rioting everyone is a philosopher over whether it is right or wrong. Get off it. None of you give a fuck, you just think what you are told to think by the glowing idiot box in the corner.

5908  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NPR's Border Fact Check on: January 09, 2019, 04:10:46 PM
I like how every time you point out a capitalist that private companies aren't more efficient than public companies in such huge areas as healthcare they still say it's because of governments and regulations...

Anyway, private can't be more effective than public as to anything private and public can do, private has to add the profit costs. It's obvious and even a 5 year old could understand this but well...

It's supposed to be balanced by "competition" but you don't need a big brain to understand that competition disappears as soon as market has reached a monopoly point which always happens. You can't keep a tensed and competitive market forever it just isn't sustainable (like the whole capitalist system btw).

Oh really? Tell me. What does government produce? Whats that? Nothing? Oh right private industry does 100% of the production. Monopolies are illegal. If the government was doing its job it would be busting them and not supporting them. You are telling me about what is sustainable when you think the government produces when literally all it does is spend, regulate, and consume.
5909  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NPR's Border Fact Check on: January 09, 2019, 03:46:13 PM

Micropayments, using square codes, RFID, visual scanners, and crypto payments would conceivably enable every road to be operated and built by commercial companies.

Give me one example where commercial companies are more efficient than public funded companies.

Cause when I look at USA healthcare and French healthcare, all I see is US healthcare costs 50% more without bein more efficient or fair...

How about all examples? As it is in the US we still have massive entitlement programs from the government for healthcare, regardless of how inefficient they are, and you ignore completely the governments role and pretend as if private industry is solely responsible. You don't get it. The pinnacle of corruption is having the private industry, then controlling the government to preserve your monopoly over it and make sure no competition arises. The government is nothing but a convenient tool for private industry anyway. Lets stop giving them the pretense of the benevolent government overlords to hide behind.

I like the idea of declaring national emergencies on real problems so I hope Trump familiarizes the nation with that idea because the courts will hold off his resistance to immigrants for 2 more years and then we can declare war on climate change and call it a national emergency.

That's not how it works. As the commander in chief of the US military, the POTUS has is VERY well established unilateral legal authority to secure our sovereign territory. Your horse shit is just a perversion of the law in an attempt to force your ideology on the country by dictatorship.
5912  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NPR's Border Fact Check on: January 09, 2019, 08:17:46 AM

Again, taxes are collected by force. You can pretend it is a choice but it is not. You feel like you are entitled the the fruits of the labor of others, and some how that is returning the means of production back to the workers?

If you don't like it well you can just get out... that argument sounds familiar.

It is not the same thing. At all. Your skull is full of pudding. Your brain has no substance or form, and your ideology flows like water to fill any space it is poured into. You have no principles, you don't even have reliable definitions for words. Your Postmodernist mind mush has rotted your brain, and now you are attempting to infect others with your mental disease.

How convenient your confusion of legal and illegal immigration allows you to make spurious claims about the contributions that illegal immigrants do not actually make to our economy. I am sure that was just an honest mistake and not a disingenuous attempt at trying to lie to support your argument.
So you think you should just be able to use our public resources for free?  Our roads, security, money, and lands make it easier to do the work you speak of and those things come with a fee.  Tax on earnings is that fee.  If you don't want tax, then live a modest life and you won't owe taxes.    Its not "if you don't like it, leave" its just a rebuttal to you thinking someone is holding a gun to your head making you do it.    This isn't North Korea.  No one will shoot you on your way out.  You have plenty of options that don't require you to owe tax.    You choose to owe taxes because you want to better your life.

I agree with you that illegal immigrants are a problem and that is precisely why I want to legalize most of the types of immigration that is done illegally now.  Then they will actually be legal immigrants.  That is what we are debating this whole time so of course I am going to talk about the benefits of the legal immigration I am trying to expand.

But who will build the roads?!

This is a stale argument that can be more than addressed with responsible fiscal policy not infested with gigantic entitlement programs. This country didn't even have income tax until WW2, and it was supposed to be a temporary measure. Tariffs and sales taxes would be MORE THAN ENOUGH if the money was managed properly and not just promptly put into a dumpster and set on fire as is the current modus operandi.

Of course once again, this is all just a red herring argument for you to endlessly take this discussion off into 1000 side topics so you can avoid the painful fact that your favored policies are naive, ignorant, destructive for everyone involved, and most importantly unsustainable. Actually if you owe taxes now the IRS can have your passport revoked, so your argument about leaving when you want is not exactly valid either.

Oh I see! So simple! All we have to do is call them some thing else and the problem is solved! THANK YOU CAPTAIN POSTMODERN! You saved the day again by redefining words!

Dictating market prices for any resource from the top down never works without significant negative effects created, most of which directly counter their so called benefits.
5914  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NPR's Border Fact Check on: January 09, 2019, 01:56:02 AM

TAXES ARE COLLECTED AT GUNPOINT. If you don't pay taxes, men with guns come and either kill you or put you in a cage until you do. This is how the resources for the programs you propose are collected. It is as simple as that.

No one is forcing you to pay taxes in the same way no one is forcing them to enter the US illegally at gunpoint.

WAT?

The irony is that immigrants pay those same taxes.  In the lifetime, 2nd generation immigrants pay everything back that their parents received many times over.

Nope. In fact data shows illegal immigrants are a net drain on tax resources. Here you are again purposely trying to confuse illegal immigrants with legal immigrants in order to claim they have some benefit for our nation, and also try to subtly try to entrap me into making generalizations so you can later claim I am against all immigration, or insinuate I am racist.

I bring up racism because the historical association of your point of view with racism is real regardless of your intentions.

So guilt by association? That is your argument? Great I am glad we agree the only reason you brought up racism was a pathetic attempt to slander me by guilt by association. The ONLY reason you need to inject racism into this is because you are supporting a LOSING argument and you have nothing to back your premise up with, so you must rely on racism as a crutch to try to elicit emotional response as a substitute for logic.

I see, you think we can have massive immigration and huge entitlement programs and a functional economy, but MY VIEWS of economics are simplistic.

You don't have sources for any of your claims, this is all just garbage Postmodernist mantras that become "true" through repetition through enough dimwits such as yourself in an attempt to appear valid via sheer numbers. You all say it, but none of you can ever back any of it up.

No one is forcing you to owe taxes.  Almost half of americans owe no federal income tax.  If you want to use our public property to do business, then you have to pay a fee.  You could always move to a tax haven or burn your passport and go out into international waters.  See how much income you earn without taking advantage of public use.   You conduct business to try and better your life but you don't have to.  They cross borders to try and better their life but they don't have to. Its the same thing except they often literally have guns to their heads and you don't.

I confuse legal with illegal immigrants because I am advocating for making the illegal immigrants legal immigrants.  I don't think there should be illegal immigrants because it forces them into hiding. Immigrants are a benefit to our nation but people being forced into hiding is a benefit to no one.

Again, taxes are collected by force. You can pretend it is a choice but it is not. You feel like you are entitled the the fruits of the labor of others, and some how that is returning the means of production back to the workers?

If you don't like it well you can just get out... that argument sounds familiar.

5915  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MMT: The US government does NOT have to add taxes to add spending on: January 08, 2019, 06:11:48 PM
Do you think big images and size 50 font obscenities help your argument?

How do you know we are at a breaking point?  What evidence do you have that we are at a breaking point?

Our government cannot go bankrupt.  Its not possible in the current setup.  You claim to understand the topic but lose all credibility when you mention the US government going bankrupt.

When the economy is running at full steam, there is full employment for one.  That is easy to measure and something we are clearly not at.  The cool thing about mass immigration is that it gives you more people to work with before reaching full employment.  Its almost like saying a country of 310 million can produce more than a country of 200 million.  Not earth shattering news.  I give youtube videos not for me to learn, but for you, who believes the opposite of the truth to see within 5 minutes that I am not just making these ideas up in my head.  You had no idea about MMT before I told you about it but will never admit that.  You still hold onto your system of beliefs that are grounded in the idea our government can go bankrupt.

You tell me what part of the video I am in conflict with.  The videos discuss economics but intentionally do not discuss politics.  They never say if we should spend extra money or what we should spend it on because that is not their job.  They simply reiterate the idea that we have money at our disposal and it does not need to come from taxes.  The banks want to spend the money one way and the people want to spend it a different way.  Just because the banks want to print money doesn't mean people who want to print money want it to help the banks.  Trump prints money to give to the rich and the military.  Everyone has an agenda.

You say the exact same policies.  Please tell me how the world's problems are a result of sending children to school, providing healthcare and fighting climate change.  Again, you have our agenda mixed up with the agenda of the establishment simply because both want to spend money.

And alas, no one is forcing you to use our society to earn money, no one is forcing you to save in US dollars.  If you were smart, you wouldn't just save all of your wealth in US dollars, you can buy commodities, real estate, stock (like a good capitalist) or whatever you please.  US dollars are for buying stuff and paying taxes, not for hoarding.

No, but they are good for communicating with really slow people, like Communists.

My argument was never about the government going bankrupt. That was your argument. I hope the Federal government DOES go bankrupt. Yes, they can print infinite amounts of money. No they can not do this without consequence. There are a finite amount of resources, and no matter how much money they print it does not change this fact. As a result, there is a defacto limit on how much money they can print.

"full steam" please. Just stop using this meaningless phrase. It is just more retarded Postmodern utopianism that never really has any technical definition, but it sure does sound great doesn't it? It is like saying "ECONOMY 2.0!", it is just some meaningless marketing phrase for the same old tired collapsing system we already operate under.

I have no idea about a lot of voodoo rituals as well, that doesn't make them valid. Also MMT is not a new idea, it is just a new name for inflationary economics. There is nothing new or revolutionary about it. Money printing inherently helps the banks, because in an inflationary economy, the first one to spend the money benefits from the highest buying power from it, decreasing as more filters out. The first ones to spend in this case, being the banks since they print it.

Taxes are collected by force. Every transaction is taxed. Taxes are required to be paid in USD. You are required to use USD, at least at some point in this nation. You act like it is the fault of the working class for being so dumb as to try to save for a home or a car, and they are right to be robbed of their life for doing so, as if you can buy a car for a basket of vegan pita loaf or something instead of USD.

5917  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are some people still skeptical about climate change? on: January 08, 2019, 05:21:55 PM
The article is a criticism of green capitalism which does indeed need to be criticized.  Green capitalists think we can buy and sell our way out of this mess and for the reasons laid out in the article, they are wrong.

We not only need to shift to renewables but we HAVE to consume a lot less and theres just no way around that.  It can't be shifting the money and consumption somewhere else, but we have to find ways to reduce the consumption.

For example, the green capitalist would say everyone should just trade their gas car for an electric car but I would say we should build livable communities where people can walk instead of needing to drive.  The most environmentally friendly trip is the one that doesn't have to happen in the first place.

Capitalism isn't the problem. Consumption is a problem. Consumption is a problem because we are infinitely inflating our money supply to the point that it no longer accurately represents the value of the resources that it was intended to be a token for. Welcome to the hell your pet central bank Socialist inflationary policies have created for us.

Technology is being suppressed. There are many technologies that I know for a fact exist which could solve many if not all of these issues of consumption. The problem is the economy has developed into this easy money casino system where it is all about speed and money velocity as a result of inflation. If there was a less debased money system, the market price discovery mechanism for natural resources would again start representing the ACTUAL COSTS of extracting it from the Earth, including the dwindling supply.

As a result of this existing situation products are designed with planned obsolescence in mind, designed to fail and be re-bought, or be made obsolete by creating the "next generation" of a product. I think more than anything what is needed is a cultural change regarding how we all personally look at our own consumption habits in an objective way, and try to change that, then the cultural change will follow by leading by example.

In summary, technology that could break these old cycles of consumption are purposely being held back because they allow for the elite to keep control over the masses in favor of fake environmental movements that serve them as red herrings, as well as the next generation of ponzi schemes. The same elite which favor your central bank inflationary policies I might add.

..... Where in this poll is the part that humans are the cause? oh right...

"By contrast, 84% of scientists say the earth is warming because of human activity.....

Note this kind of clever double talk does not advance any realistic understanding.

For example, a scientist would answer YES if he thought the effect of humans was 0.001C in a hundred years, or YES if he thought the effect of humans was 2.000C in a hundred years.

Essentially, this is lying using a survey, and just another example of the politicalization of science.

It also ignores the reality that simply funding thousands of sham studies over and over again does not constitute scientific consensus. It constitutes that scientists will say what they are paid to say by the people who fund them. ACTUAL scientific consensus is based on... can we guess what I am going to say next?

That s so low for a old collection like this

As I said, I am not interested in buying it, frankly at any price. As a collector of coins and notes I am horrified by the condition of those. As any collector will tell you condition is everything. Condition is what makes the difference between a rare $1000 penny, and a rare penny. Most of it isn't that old either. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I suggest you take out all the stained notes and try to spend them. The ones not covered in weird brown crap try to sell as a lot. Those might be worth a little.
