Anyway, private can't be more effective than public as to anything private and public can do, private has to add the profit costs. It's obvious and even a 5 year old could understand this but well...

It's supposed to be balanced by "competition" but you don't need a big brain to understand that competition disappears as soon as market has reached a monopoly point which always happens. You can't keep a tensed and competitive market forever it just isn't sustainable (like the whole capitalist system btw).

I like the idea of declaring national emergencies on real problems so I hope Trump familiarizes the nation with that idea because the courts will hold off his resistance to immigrants for 2 more years and then we can declare war on climate change and call it a national emergency.

So you think you should just be able to use our public resources for free?  Our roads, security, money, and lands make it easier to do the work you speak of and those things come with a fee.  Tax on earnings is that fee.  If you don't want tax, then live a modest life and you won't owe taxes.    Its not "if you don't like it, leave" its just a rebuttal to you thinking someone is holding a gun to your head making you do it.    This isn't North Korea.  No one will shoot you on your way out.  You have plenty of options that don't require you to owe tax.    You choose to owe taxes because you want to better your life.

I agree with you that illegal immigrants are a problem and that is precisely why I want to legalize most of the types of immigration that is done illegally now.  Then they will actually be legal immigrants.  That is what we are debating this whole time so of course I am going to talk about the benefits of the legal immigration I am trying to expand.  

No one is forcing you to owe taxes.  Almost half of americans owe no federal income tax.  If you want to use our public property to do business, then you have to pay a fee.  You could always move to a tax haven or burn your passport and go out into international waters.  See how much income you earn without taking advantage of public use.   You conduct business to try and better your life but you don't have to.  They cross borders to try and better their life but they don't have to. Its the same thing except they often literally have guns to their heads and you don't.

I confuse legal with illegal immigrants because I am advocating for making the illegal immigrants legal immigrants.  I don't think there should be illegal immigrants because it forces them into hiding. Immigrants are a benefit to our nation but people being forced into hiding is a benefit to no one.

Our government cannot go bankrupt.  Its not possible in the current setup.  You claim to understand the topic but lose all credibility when you mention the US government going bankrupt.

When the economy is running at full steam, there is full employment for one.  That is easy to measure and something we are clearly not at.  The cool thing about mass immigration is that it gives you more people to work with before reaching full employment.  Its almost like saying a country of 310 million can produce more than a country of 200 million.  Not earth shattering news.  I give youtube videos not for me to learn, but for you, who believes the opposite of the truth to see within 5 minutes that I am not just making these ideas up in my head.  You had no idea about MMT before I told you about it but will never admit that.  You still hold onto your system of beliefs that are grounded in the idea our government can go bankrupt.

You tell me what part of the video I am in conflict with.  The videos discuss economics but intentionally do not discuss politics.  They never say if we should spend extra money or what we should spend it on because that is not their job.  They simply reiterate the idea that we have money at our disposal and it does not need to come from taxes.  The banks want to spend the money one way and the people want to spend it a different way.  Just because the banks want to print money doesn't mean people who want to print money want it to help the banks.  Trump prints money to give to the rich and the military.  Everyone has an agenda.

You say the exact same policies.  Please tell me how the world's problems are a result of sending children to school, providing healthcare and fighting climate change.  Again, you have our agenda mixed up with the agenda of the establishment simply because both want to spend money.

And alas, no one is forcing you to use our society to earn money, no one is forcing you to save in US dollars.  If you were smart, you wouldn't just save all of your wealth in US dollars, you can buy commodities, real estate, stock (like a good capitalist) or whatever you please.  US dollars are for buying stuff and paying taxes, not for hoarding.

The article is a criticism of green capitalism which does indeed need to be criticized.  Green capitalists think we can buy and sell our way out of this mess and for the reasons laid out in the article, they are wrong. 

We not only need to shift to renewables but we HAVE to consume a lot less and theres just no way around that.  It can't be shifting the money and consumption somewhere else, but we have to find ways to reduce the consumption.

For example, the green capitalist would say everyone should just trade their gas car for an electric car but I would say we should build livable communities where people can walk instead of needing to drive.  The most environmentally friendly trip is the one that doesn't have to happen in the first place. 

Note this kind of clever double talk does not advance any realistic understanding.
