Shhh. Some people are more equal than others, and you are a scammer and or troll for questioning the dictates of the grand pubahs.
5242  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did you know Venezuela used to run an aid programme for poor Americans? on: March 11, 2019, 06:09:03 PM
I do remember a heating oil program under Chavez long ago before Socialism had totally gutted that nation. It was limited and more intended as a fuck you to Obama than to actually help. Basically just making a show of the fact there are some poor Americans, look how powerful we are in relation to your poorest... you can't even take care of your own people etc. It is hand crafted to pay a small cost of public funds to cover up their own domestic failures and increase their international clout.

I actually like Jimmy Dore because he is not a total wingbat and he is right about some stuff, but he is more of a comedian and doesn't always check his facts.
5243  Other / Meta / Re: SUBFORUM STICKIES FOR UNOFFICIAL RULES on: March 11, 2019, 06:02:32 PM
I'm not too sure what exactly the post is about, if it's about  guidelines and description on sub forums and child boards, we already have something of that sort. Serious discussion child board, ivory tower for example have this as it's description; Even more serious discussion. Members and above only. No advertising of any kind. No junk posts.. Similar with other child boards. If I am off the point, you can point me in the right direction.

The point is to have a reference that applies to the subforum specific unofficial rules/customs only, conveniently located in a spot that those using that forum most will most easily come across. Some of these subforums are larger than entire other forums. It makes sense that there would be some differences in standards and type of community between them.

I believe the cryptospace will experience a similar evolution but in a much faster way, we are already way ahead than the first banks

Before too long, all of us will be our own banks, and our notes will be as good as our word.
That is the fact here, I have something to tell but please don't scared Wink

I have read that the people are moving their assets to digital currencies and golds because there will be a big will happen soon. There will be a chance that world war three is coming and that Jared kushner (the son in law of trump) will become the lead of said globalization to wage war.

I did not mean to scare people here but if you already know that war is coming, you have to move your money out of the banks and get golds to preserve your wealth.

I dunno about the Kushner part, though definitely not a fan of him, but the rest is more real than anyone cares to admit. People like us have been warning you for a long time, if you get caught making no preparations after ignoring these warnings it is your own fault.
5245  Other / Meta / Re: SUBFORUM STICKIES FOR UNOFFICIAL RULES on: March 11, 2019, 05:27:16 PM
It's good idea to keep sub-forum/section/child-board keep tidy, but just like any sticky thread (including official rules), it will be ignored.

For example on Bitcoin Technical Support, there's [READ BEFORE POSTING] Tech Support Help Request Format.
But i almost never see people use the format and sometimes members had to ask necessary information first (such as log files, core's version and OS) before help the poster.

I am not saying it will magically enforce them, but this place is large and complicated. I think some of us older users forget this since some of it just becomes second nature. Also I don't exclusively mean for organizational sake. For example the auctions section could do with some standards being more universal to make auctions run more smoothly. Local boards might have various local laws which they might want to keep enforced for liability reasons, etc. There are often new users who would gladly abide by the local customs if they even knew what they were. Even if it is something people could use to reference I think would be handy.

Additionally false negatives do more to lure people in to fraud than anything. By propagating false negatives the user base learns they don't always mean something and then genuine negative ratings blend in with the signal noise of frivolous ratings.
That's your opinion, and I think it's wrong.  You don't know that members are seeing all these negatives and becoming immune to them any more than I do.  The fact is that this forum is absolutely infested with scammers and dishonest people of all kinds, and the unwitting member needs to be warned about them.  In other words, I think it's much better that one of these scammers or account sellers or what have you has a red tag rather than not having one.

People can judge for themselves whether they want to trade with that person based on what the negative was given for--and if they disregard someone's trust, that's on them.  Some people have to learn the hard way, and that's just the way it is.  I know I did when I got scammed by a green-trusted member back in 2016.

Again, the pattern is complete dismissal of the negative impacts that false or frivolous ratings have on users. This is not just about one or two users but a larger pattern of this behavior which has a much bigger detrimental impact on the overall community. Users who are falsely rated with honest intentions will often just leave rather than deal with rebuilding their reputations while frauds are back in seconds with a purchased account. Negative ratings are handed out so flippantly to the point where they have become almost meaningless in spite of your pretense that this is not the case.

This forum IS infested with scammers. The problem isn't new, and shotgunning negatives at them isn't going to stop it, nor has it been. At best it will momentarily delay them. The question then is at what cost? I submit the cost is at the expense of the legitimate user base which has to deal with the constant fear of extortion via the trust system for saying the wrong thing. Some times they even get extorted using their hard earned reputations because they pointed out the wrong scam. Have you ever considered the security flaw of such a system in that context? What is preventing systematic extortion of reputable users here by using their reputations against them to keep them quiet about big scam XYZ if false negative ratings have no penalty or cost?

People can judge for themselves. The problem is the system is largely intended to help new users, and new users don't know any different. Again you point out another flaw in this whole argument. At the end of the day scammers can still hijack trusted accounts, making your shotgunning of negatives totally ineffectual against them in this context. Unfortunately for many people leaving negative ratings has become a game of quantity over quality, and for increasingly frivolous reasons which are indistinguishable from abuse, all done towards the end of increasing their own reputation as a "forum cop."

5248  Other / Meta / Re: DT members - ethical to sell DT services? on: March 11, 2019, 05:01:06 PM
Because a false positive rating can do a lot more damage than a false negative rating. A false negative may stop a user from doing some trading, or at least force other parties to do a bit more due diligence, until it is resolved. A false positive rating could potentially contribute to a scam by helping to lure in people who don't know any better.

Given the ratio of honest members to would be scammers, I'm not surprised the positive to negative feedback ratio is what it is.

As others have stated this is a matter of perspective, not a universally true statement. There is no way to force resolution around here, and no cost for making false negative ratings generally. If some one has the opinion they don't like what you are doing, that's it. It will remain a permanent impediment to the user with varying levels of detriment. People tend not to do due diligence, and pretending like it is just a matter of them looking more carefully is quite dismissive of the negative results that it would have on ones ability to trade.

Additionally false negatives do more to lure people in to fraud than anything. By propagating false negatives the user base learns they don't always mean something and then genuine negative ratings blend in with the signal noise of frivolous ratings. False positives rely on the reputation of the one giving it. People around here with good reputations are aware that people are trying to game the system and they have direct incentives to not allow that, because their own reputation would suffer.
5249  Other / Meta / SUBFORUM STICKIES FOR UNOFFICIAL RULES on: March 11, 2019, 04:50:36 PM
I would like to make a suggestion for subforums to have a dedicated stickied thread to be used for listing "unofficial" rules or customs to that subforum that users like to maintain. I think this might be especially useful in places like the local subforums, or for example collectables or auctions. I don't know who would want to or could manage this, but even a quick explanation stickied that allows users to post IMO would be useful. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Actually you are really agreeing with me. I'm stating that California is almost a country in its own right, but it is being exploited and abused by its overlords in Washington.

My other point is that a fortune is spent on destructive drugs, vaccines and other weapons of war, whilst the domestic infrastructure and economy is allowed to decay.

Hes really not. Trust me they do plenty of their own leeching. You may agree that Washington is a leech, as do I, California is not an innocent party here by a long shot. It is sad too, because all the people who fucked that state up are now fleeing the results of that failing state and moving to others then immediately trying to change the government into the system they just fled. It is terrifying.
5251  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump calls for $2.7 trillion in budget cuts over 10 years on: March 11, 2019, 04:10:33 PM
Also it is quite clear that the wall will be saving way more money over time than the cost if you actually look at the numbers objectively and not just quotes from opinion pieces with massaged and selectively omitted numbers. As far as California is concerned, it has made an industry out of being bankrupt. That is part of the reason it has so many fires. They purposely mismanage the forest by restricting controlled burns (even on private property) on "environmental" grounds. As a result fires will devastate areas so they can get more federal emergency funding. This is just one example, there are so many more unfortunately.

The Bureau of Land management then comes along and snatches up the land on "environmental" grounds and it becomes federal land. This is part of what was going on with the whole Bundy ranch incident, the people there were tired of this con game. FEMA plays the same games around here with houses in the flood plane. They prohibit rebuilding so if you are unable to repair the property is now useless. This is all part of the formerly known as "Agenda 21" program designed to push people into city centers for more convenient taxation, monitoring, and eventual train rides.

FYI, you can embed images if you upload them to www.imgur.com . Also you might find this script useful... (quote for bb code)

If you really intend to make this happen I would suggest reducing the price. Looks like your pricing is about right for cash value, but there is speculative value in BTC, not so much in the vehicle. This should be priced in, especially since it is a larger trade. Good luck.
5253  Other / Politics & Society / Re: De-monetization of basic life requirements and beyond. on: March 11, 2019, 02:52:11 PM
Actually I see some promising open source educational systems. I am going to wager a guess you are referring to state subsidized "free" education, not literal lesson plans available for use for all on the internet. Now as far as certifications go, I agree there needs to be some kind of standard setting authority to weed the incompetent people out. We should not however confuse free with government funded, and education with a certification or a degree. They are not always the same thing.

You're suspicions are correct, I was indeed using the word "demonetization" as a socialist might; code for "taxing the shit out of you giving you very little in return."

I agree there are so many ways to educate one's self available for free on the internet these days, it's really a marvelous time if you are able to take advantage of it.  Coding, astronomy, science, mathematics, language, all can be learned for free.

Demonitization has occurred hugely; if you take the right time spans. A person used to have to travel hundreds of miles walking or on horse to get to a library. There might have been a few street performers playing music, but the fancy music was only for the wealthy.

Even in the 1990s, if you wanted to look up patents, you had to go to a library with the repository.

All of Wikipedia can be put on a computer or card < 100 gb, and freely given out.

That is actually a really good point. The quality of life has increased SO MUCH because of technological innovation brought about by free market competition. We have gone from struggling every day to do simple things like eat and travel, to making them so inexpensive, available, and taken for granted that the same effort needed to live now is demanded by some people to be completely free. Some times it amazes me how little people appreciate what they have. Unfortunately everyone is going to learn soon the hard way...

you cant escape the past, here you are:

foreign debt

import dependent.

no ability to run an industrialised economy without help of foreigners.

result:

spamming foreign ICO project groups in telegram with american icos.

the issue about the foreign trade deficit of americans was warned since decades by top american economists.

This is probably the most legally restrictive place on the planet to run an ICO, so I don't know what you are rambling about. Of course it was warned about years ago, and ignored, because as I stated it was the plan to create vulnerability. All you are doing is repeating back to me what I just said, ignoring the key implications and inserting your own.

Serious question:

If I wanted a custom model with a butt face, so I could butt fuck its face, would this be possible?

Thanks.
hahaha you will make a fine addition to this community.
5256  Economy / Goods / Re: Any value in these Australian/American coins? on: March 11, 2019, 12:10:14 PM
US coin collector here. Sorry no particular value there in US coinage, just a collectable keepsake. The older wheat penny is slightly more valuable than a penny. The one dated 1995 is literally something you would find in circulation.

5258  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: March 11, 2019, 11:56:11 AM
I don't understand what so hard about implementing it?
There's one very busy Admin with a long Todo list who gets many requests. Anything that can be created by users provides extra functionality without taking Admin's time.

More importantly don't forget every single feature added is a potential back door security risk for the forum. Making sure it is not also takes time. I would be happier with a stale featureless SECURE forum than an unsecure one with lots of bells and whistles.
5259  Other / Meta / Re: DT members - ethical to sell DT services? on: March 11, 2019, 11:54:20 AM
Having said all that, leaving positive feedback in return for payment is absolutely inappropriate.
As always, when extending one's hand toward another, one must exercise caution.

That's why both TMAN and I picked out words carefully as not to guarantee the absolute success of the product, merely its existence.
That being said, I believe that the number of positives that you grant should never exceed even half that of the number of negatives you have sent. Selectiveness of trust is very important.

Why is it people are so afraid of leaving a positive for the wrong person, but not afraid of spamming negative ratings? I have left a mere handful of negative ratings, because I almost exclusively rate people whom I have had a direct interaction with. I am of the opinion people should not be so desperate to find crimes and instead address the actual fraud around here. Of course tracking down and proving real fraud is a lot harder than playing Columbo with random hapless noobs...
5260  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with Secondary Education in the US, and some solutions on: March 11, 2019, 11:18:46 AM
Abandoning trade schools and manufacturing wasn't a mistake. It was a plan. This was purposely done to create systems of global interdependence and put the USA in a vulnerable state in preparation for its harvest and stripping of resources, and the roll out for global government. In order to do this our manufacturing capability first had to be gutted. This also conveniently served to create lots of student debt the banker class can leech off of and rehypothecate in the process.

well printing money and having fun was to seductive for americans wasnt it? why work and manufacture things, when you can just print money pretend to be a state and buy from the surpressed germans/japanese...

First of all you should be addressing the last generation, not mine. I inherited debt, not the easy living the last gen did. Second, this is SOP for pretty much every nation now so, I dunno what your focus on America is for. The people behind this don't care about any nation or peoples.
