61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 16, 2024, 01:04:03 PM
Hi everyone,
Here actually is my finding on why people chase loses in gambling, do you know that it's natural for a gambler to chase after his or her loses? Well, if you don't know, now you know, it is natural in the sense that ; the desire is inbuilt, it is we ourselves that learn to put or subject the desire to our control, same way it is natural to feel bad when you lose a bet, but you can be happy if you choose to, and can control your emotion.
Natural indeed, I actually think this mentality start's from the biology of human life which is hardwired in our heads..but on the part of emotions I really can't tell because we have people that don't have them Tongue but am sure self control can be taught.

One of the reason why many gamblers naturally chase after their lose is due to one thing that is built into every game known as the "near miss effect", after every loss, a near miss effect makes our brain believe that a win is very close
If this was something to do with casino games, this strategy actually works but when it comes to sports gambling unfortunately your winning chances increase with single bets unlike accumulators.

So, from your own understanding, what do you think makes people chase loses aside greed which I believe many of us are already familier with?.
Something I have learnt from trading is that, losing is part of the game and accepting this truth has elevated my winning position and for this I believe chasing loses comes from not accepting that you can't win everyday...we have good days and bad days , the earlier we understand this the better we protect our money.

Damn Newcastle!! 😂😁 But luckily Juventus did won😁  Now question 5 is decided this will be exciting! Come on Leeds and Southampton!!😁
You know that had I gone with a Juventus win you would have been packing by now as the race to 3 was in my favour, but either way am serving you some humble pie for the last question as this chapter needs to be closed as I look forward to what the next round has for me..

Btw, last night United played some aggressive football which I enjoyed  Smiley but am wondering why they are always conceding in the last part of the game which gave me a scare of a possible draw.. perphaps players get too excited and lose focus, whatever their reasons job well done United,  you just got me closer to my qualification Grin

I just realized that the rival who eliminated me in the previous round didnt show up, why didn't you do that against me haha, I would have liked to face Hhampuz

Someone talking big talk here, team Mafia make this happen  Tongue

After seeing the camera go Marcus Rashfords way , am starting to think Manchester United are playing better without him  and this was the same performance against the great Arsenal which could suggest that his either a problem for the team, or team plays better without the big names as everyone has an opportunity to showcase what they have on the pitch. Don't get me wrong, United has enjoyed his services when it mattered the most but at the moment very few are putting in the work to make a difference at United!!

Edit

Rashfords name came up for a Sub  Grin

Denver won the match and Jokic was on fire! 40 points, 13 assist, 7 Reb… Gobert 2 Blocks and 4 fouls..
Waiting for the mafia to confirm 😁
Had my doubts on this lad getting the job done and paid the price  Cry but you will soon be chasing again...

Wait a minute , are you aware that Manchester United are leading and after how well the played against Arsenal, there is no chance for this lead to be lost!!

Glory Glory Manchester United Wink

Am knocking you out unless you pull a Mafia move...

Yesterday's game was a sweet one as we saw Manchester City defeat two teams in one game (Tottenham and Arsenal) and looking at how our answers were spread on the spreadsheet, I think credit should go to cro2 for their great psychology  on these questions because the other weekend Manchester City won for having the most goals then last night they turned into Villians to limit number of goals they get maybe because Spurs played better and both teams had so much pressure on their shoulders. Otherwise great job with the questions cro2 , keep them coming Cheesy

@Slissy it's a race to 5 and no penalties allowed here , just waiting for your tennis guy to crash out to breakeven on this one.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 14, 2024, 08:35:21 PM
Haaland adds another goal to his name to make it 26 goals which widens the gap between him and closest rival Palmer for the golden boot race and most importantly gets the goal that gets them closer to the title which should break Arsenal's hearts and Citeh haters... otherwise am rooting for another CITY title which puts Arsenal back on the chase next season and hope the don't lose momentum...

I announce myself humbly, prostrate before the council of BSFL, and offer myself at the altar of shame for allowing Hhampuz a free pass.
After reading our new article and seeing  the hype this duel  was highlighted as one to watch only for a walkover to happen...slap in the face to be honest..we have been denied a David verses Goliath moment here  Roll Eyes

Btw, with this result, this means HH is a game away from getting into the finals and doing it back to back ...he needs to share the secret to getting this far lol, good luck to call Cup contenders!

This will be an interesting round me and my opponent have 5 different answers😁 I'm sure there will be more than 2 goals in the City match😁 Good luck Woodie😁

Medvedev lost today but he played very bad today so he deserved to lose..

That fixture is a weird one and the fact that they get to meet after a weekend game,am counting on fatigued players to not get many goals...

And Medvedev crashing out means most will follow him...my eyes are on you , and good luck to you too Cool
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: May 14, 2024, 04:24:06 PM
Honestly this is a tough one, but we all agree that  mistakes are part of life and a parents love will supersed whatever anger might come as a natural  reaction but once they calm down am pretty sure something can be worked out to find resources for whatever they were saving for...but then again not all parents can react this way, some will disown you and cut ties with the child as the damage could be unbearable to them...

Honestly if you are going to gamble, gamble with your own money..there is just something about gambling with other people's money that doesn't give you a peace of mind and probably a reason why most lose money as their mind isn't in one place.
69  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: May 14, 2024, 03:38:47 PM
Wow this is mindblowing  Shocked how is this KYC battle still ongoing with all the documents provided by the OP to support to prove ones identity??

OP have you tried to engage any support staff available on the forum if at all we have some... because over 6months of chasing your money  is a lot of wasted time and no progress made, and just incase have you clarified with them what's stopping you from getting that level 3/4 verification because sometimes it could be a case of communication breakdown and it would be good to ask what is needed to get your verification done???

74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling? on: May 13, 2024, 10:26:24 PM
Technically speaking it doesn't as this is more like a temporary fix, but as far as I know a player can easily find a similar casino or sportsbook to continue where they left and continue gambling and in some circumstances if a casino runs a non KYC service they can easily open another account and try to beat the system.. but of course they get caught  one way or another and funds confiscated to hit them were it hurts the most and before you know it someone gets to complain of how a casino scammed them when in the first place the player is kind of being protected.

Otherwise never run into any casino or sportsbook that freezes accounts based on irresponsible gambling  Roll Eyes as casinos are more interested in the money  Tongue

77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling? on: May 13, 2024, 06:26:58 PM
Fact check: cryptocurrencies are cash equivalent which hold value to the point of being declared legal tender in some countries, so let's not spread FUD to say these coins don't hold any value!!!

So between using fiat or cryptocurrency I believe it all depends on the preference of the user, and personally I would go for crypto as it's easier to handle in terms of deposits/withdraws unlike fiat which sometimes is affected with maintenance and what not...and besides I think with crypto players are given the freedom to play with much smaller denominations than what we get to see with fiat and also allows the system to monitor your financial spending.

@cryptofrka @Trofo i just went through the questions. And on question number 1 in round 3, The team played against each other yesterday and RS Berkane won 2-1 so the next 2nd leg will be on sunday And then Zamalek plays at home.
And I was on a Zamalek win lol , I guess this is a sign that I will progress into the finals after this nice early save..thanks Slissy  but that doesn't  mean I will take it easy on you as you are the player standing in my way which I don't like Cool

Time to make some  winning adjustments now Smiley

Please send me your new answers in DM. If you don't by tomorrow, I will DM you myself.
The question is fully changed so you can't keep your old answers.

Sorry once again, we will have to hire Slissy I guess.
Sending my answers now all thanks to Sherlock Slissy Grin...

Finally Latvia finds themselves in front after chasing the game from the first period till the third period when France got the first goal..and with less than 3 minutes to go this result could just secure my much needed draw as this would have gone against me and landed me another defeat ..but I get to survive this one

Waiting for a Manchester United equalizer to force a draw on this game Wink

Edit:

France got one back $#@&$ 2-2 in the hockey game...looks like overtime will have to separate the two..
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 12, 2024, 03:53:42 PM
This Manchester United team that has showed up today is playing a very impressive game such that Arsenal  has been put under pressure & limiting their attacking  chances, and if they played like this every weekend I don't think United would have been far back from the top four club's. Btw, if you ask me United look hungry to stop Arsenal from getting an easy 3 points that would push them closer to the EPL title but let's see how this goes...

Edit :

Arsenal found the back of the net, now we have a game on our hands...
