601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: August 17, 2020, 02:00:22 AM
They are both have different characteristics that is valuable. But to compare these two? I don"t think it is reasonable. First off, gold has physical appearance with a great use and cost.

However, when we are talking about future, we can't really say whether cryptocurrency wil be more valuable rather than other physical assets like gold. But the existence of gold is long compared with cryptocurrency like bitcoin.

That is quite true. In terms of Price, then cryptocurrencies maybe have the advantage but in terms of practicality, I'd say gold is more practical. Not only gold is physical but also has physical implication in real world that is actually being used in a day-to-day life. That's the reason why the market cap of gold is significantly bigger than all of cryptocurrencies combined.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If someone mistakenly sent you 1 ETH, what would you do? on: August 15, 2020, 08:26:47 AM
If it's just a transaction to address, the sender would never know who the receiver are or how to contact them and the receiver also would not know that the transaction has been a mistake. They'll not know me and I'll not know them. The finders are keepers.

But what if the sender is a criminal trying to send ETH to random wallets to create confusion for his trackers? You'll most likely be questioned because of this from the authority and if you happen to spend it and got tracked, you'll probably be in trouble. Well unless you really hid your wallet and your identity from the authority, it's finders keepers.

So yeah, for me I'll most likely hold unto it until I found enough reason to give it back or keep it to myself (since the wallet I'm using right now has undergone KYC or something similar to that which unless if the sender sent it to my secret wallet).
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best performing "old" coins on the market? on: August 15, 2020, 06:53:10 AM
Why don't you just hold unto Bitcoin or ETH? since they are probably one of the oldest and most reputable cryptocurrency in the market. Not to mention that their market is significantly performing better than most coins right now. Just look at how ETH has grown this past few days. If this keeps going, then it might even surpass $500 mark this year.
604  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Watch out! Coins.ph 'Allegedly' Locking Accounts/Wallets on: August 13, 2020, 01:33:49 AM

I see. Well fair enough.

605  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Watch out! Coins.ph 'Allegedly' Locking Accounts/Wallets on: August 12, 2020, 11:52:43 PM
Sure nasakanila na rin lang ung personal information mo in the first place. Pero still, the lesser any centralized authority knows, the better. The "just comply lul wala namang ginagawang masama" is a really bad mindset. https://www.ted.com/talks/glenn_greenwald_why_privacy_matters

Is this case, I still stand sa sinabi ko.

Pero I agree na kapag level 1 ka palang at nanghihingi sila ng interview for some reason ay magiging issue nga ito kung gusto nyo ng privacy.

"just comply lul wala namang ginagawang masama" is a really bad mindset.

Dba wala? kaya just comply lul wala namang ginagawang masama. Nasa coins.ph man ang issue or sa kanya, at the end of the day hindi niya hawak ang pera niya kundi ang coins.

606  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Watch out! Coins.ph 'Allegedly' Locking Accounts/Wallets on: August 12, 2020, 09:37:53 AM
Coins.ph ba ang may sabi niyan? or Wala lang talaga siyang time till september? Kung may time naman siya ay pwede naman siyang mag pa schedule as much as possible.

Got interviewed a couple of times by coins.ph for some of my previous "old" transactions and they were asking for questions that are quite easy to answer. It's probably a big transaction or something related to that, that may have caused them to freeze the account.

If you comply with the right rules and know that you didn't do anything illegal, I think it's best to just take the interview.

P.S. Feeling ko concerned lang din sila sa mga possible money laundering things na may happen on their system or something, IDRK.

Yeap.

607  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines Central Bank Considers Issuing Its Own Digital Currency. on: August 12, 2020, 05:03:03 AM

608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stable coin is the Best for Investment This Year on: August 12, 2020, 02:53:17 AM
Nice try advertising your project as second in the list. lol

Tether is so far the best stablecoin in terms of every corner like volume, acceptance etc. And I would list makerdao to 2nd on the list. I have used both times to times for taking profit when coin price gets pumped. By the way, I think I have seen another project with the same name of yours.

As an investment? Not a chance. Almost all stablecoins doesn't even yield profits anyway compared to traditional cryptocurrency. Especially that this are fiat-backed coins that doesn't really change in price at all. Also, Tether is a dangerous investment since they currently have an issue in their audits and they are being questioned all the time.

I suggest to OP that he add at least one gold-backed stablecoin since they are hot topics too.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto being way better when it comes to tracking - what we always said on: August 11, 2020, 09:55:28 AM
Time and again there has been a feud between Bitcoins supporter and the Government . Government always said how cryptocurrencies are not a good option since they can be used for illegal purposes and therefore should be banned .

The same can be said with fiat. Fiat is still the most used currency when doing illegal things. It even overshadowed cryptocurrency (at least for now). I don't know about your government but our government is really willing to accept legitimate business regarding cryptocurrency. The only thing our government is against are scams.

If Bitcoin was completely uncontrollable, they'd ban it 100%. But I guess we all made mistakes along those many years of crypto experience.

Bitcoin itself is actually uncontrollable. The only thing the government can control are third-parties that integrate Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. if you don't use those, then you'll most likely will never get tracked (With a little help of mixers)
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pay utilities with ETN >>> ELECTRONEUM NEWS on: August 11, 2020, 09:41:28 AM
I've actually tried their Anytask and I can say that it's almost the same with Fiverr but with fewer requirements. It's not as good as Fiverr though but they are doing pretty fine. Though there's not much services and customers as of lately.

I don't know what's happening but they are actually not doing good from what I've heard. They haven't move much in terms of price too. Kinda disappointing considering that they are one of the most hyped coin of 2017.
611  Other / Meta / Re: Opening Mutiple Ann Threads - Allowed? on: August 10, 2020, 12:27:13 AM
They are both announcement in essence. They shouldn't have posted something that has the same substance as the original. Although the title and the text are different, they still have the same links and almost the same content as the original. The new thread doesn't really tell us something about their project. Also, that new sentence can be pasted in the original thread without any issue, why make another announcement with the same contents?

We should report it. By the way, it's already moved to Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins)
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase: Increasing ETC deposit confirmation time to ~ 2 weeks on: August 10, 2020, 12:00:27 AM
So if you are going to deposit, you might as well wait for the right time, unless you really can wait for 2 weeks confirmation.

I have a better idea. Don't deposit to coinbase!

There are still exchanges that don't make you wait 2 weeks. This is really ridiculous. They could require more confirmations than usually like increase the number 3 times. 2 weeks is something only coinbase could think of.

It's on ETC side which has a problem. Because of the recent network attacks. A lot of exchanges are prolonging withdrawal/depositing in order to prevent any problems. Well if you want to deposit in a garbage exchange and have problems later, sure.

You can have more context here and here if you want to read it.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 08, 2020, 10:18:25 AM
-snip

Yes I agree. Printing more money to pay debt just leads to more problem in the long run. It should be used in improving the economy of the country.

As of now, our government is issuing P1 billion (roughly $20 million) to improve the economy of the Philippines which led me to believe that our government actually has funds to spare and money reserved for the betterment of the country. Printing more money to pay debt just creates unneeded inflation which electronicash is implying that the government should do.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: August 08, 2020, 09:56:55 AM
the price of gold is currently going up, I want to see if the price of this token also goes up like the price of gold, I still have a deeper look at this project and whether it continues to be stable coin

It gold backed token so it would keep maintain its value in term of fiat. If want to invest into this project better option always choose fiat instead of buy with BTC. It is good sign gold performing mind blowing and this making this kind of project more hot.

Dear Terabite,

The GOLD token is a stablecoin backed by real gold. The price of the token can be checked in real-time on our marketplace. https://gold.storage/en/market

Regards,
Support Team @ Digital Gold
https://gold.storage

Right, the price of GOLD tokens is really stable, following the movement of real gold prices. we can see the price of GOLD tokens on the exchange via Coinmarketcap.
I just opened a Digital Gold twitter account but the account has been suspended, what happened?

https://twitter.com/gold_erc20

It must be the issue on twitter side since they are currently strict with everything involving cryptocurrency at the moment due to the recent hacking. The team will probably get this back once twitter fix this issues.
615  Other / Meta / Re: Is this considered a death threat? on: August 08, 2020, 03:09:16 AM
But why did you hijacked his thread though? (I used google translate BTW) https://archive.is/n72kg

It's all explained earlier in this thread. It sounded like andulolika was looking for a translation service and considering how illiterate he is - that's an easy mistake to make.

Now that you mentioned it. It did sounded like he is buying a service.

Looking at his history, he has a very bad mouth (Like swearing and threatening is his habit of venting his anger) and now because of it, the situation escalated to this. He also isn't honest.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people think Bitcoin is a scam? on: August 08, 2020, 02:12:41 AM
Why? Because they are ignorant. They prefer staying away from the truth which led them to believed that Bitcoin is a "scam" or "worthless". Others do understand Bitcoin but still insist on calling it worthless to promote their own agenda.

Still, the people who have knowledge of Bitcoin and its adoption is increasing each year. Sooner or later, more and more people are going to use Bitcoin as it is being develop to be more user-friendly and being regulated to be accepted in different parts of the world.
617  Other / Meta / Re: Is this considered a death threat? on: August 08, 2020, 01:15:26 AM
The rule says it's a death threat but to be honest, it's more like an intimidation to you and a vent of anger. Well you can just report him and give the full context. That way the moderators can decide whether it is or not.

But why did you hijacked his thread though? (I used google translate BTW) https://archive.is/n72kg

618  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 08, 2020, 12:42:13 AM
We really can't rely on our government too much. Places are crowded, population is high, unruly citizens, we're pretty messed up ourselves as a citizen. There are even cases here where some people are trying to hide covid victims which infected more people.

the officials in this country are the worse, there isn't unity here.
You got it. Instead of focusing on the main problem of the country, government officials are busy blaming each other and the president about the previous and current issues that we are facing now, there's no unity. Some people are even busy going on rally to protest resulting to increase of the infected. According to the president there's no budget anymore to give the people cash aid or relief goods, so what will happen to us now if this situation continue? Plus corrupt officials are still existing like the issue on philhealth agency, its really frustrating to watch news on tv about these negative issues.

i'm sure there's funds because he can just ask to print a lot of money. he can even pay millions to those who can create vaccines. probably the reason why he says there is no money is because he doesn't want people to rely on the stimulus package from the government.

it all depend to the one shouting, when they liberals were in the position they kept demanding to unite each other. now that they are the ones in the opposition, you can't hear them saying unity.

Printing more money just leads to higher inflation, meaning less value for peso which will worsen the economy of the Philippines. As of now, we are barely holding on with the current value of our money. We can only hope for the best during this time and wait for a vaccine.

Vaccine is the only solution from the world is eagerly waiting for, at the present almost every country has been running out of money. Very few number of Governments operating with perfect plans facilitating the need of common people. The vaccine takes time to reach the usage, already so many were under testing. Let's hope and pray for the fastest recovery and destruction of covid-19 virus all around.

do you think duterte administration didn't print money?

its how the economic growth works. if duterte administration won't be printing bills for the Filipinos while other countries are printing a lot of their bills, its our debt that is being taken advantage by these countries. while we owe, our country should be printing more for our debts to shrink. because the rest of the countries are trying to dwindle their own debts as well by printing money. the value of peso doesn't matter because what matters is whether it can still be used to purchase from stores are are still accepted by stores.

I know that every country prints its money but do you think this will solve the problem? Do you even know the consequences of printing more money? Yes we can pay the debts of our country in a faster way but do you think this will help us in the long run? Do you know what hyperinflation can do to our country in this state?

What do you mean the value of our peso doesn't matter? Then let's say we printed more money to pay our debts but it changes the stores prices by double, do you think it still doesn't matter? It matters a lot especially during this pandemic times.

His days of shilling ain't done. He's now shilling this "ghost" thing after hopping from project to project. It's just that him shilling certain altcoins doesn't pump the prices as much compared to how it used to be like in 2018.

Funnily enough, he calls his project "decentralized" but yet his name is literally in their domain and in the project name.

I see. That's probably why he is calling Bitcoin worthless now to promote his new coin. I bet he's going to add more negative statement about Bitcoin while trying to glorify this "decentralized" project of his.
