601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: August 10, 2023, 07:44:33 PM
I look at these things globally. Look at the top coins coinmarketcap for example in 2015 and now. Then the question about the perspective and duration of meme coins probably did not appear. All altcoins are constantly being replaced by others, and only a single success happens very rarely. Therefore meme coins will not exist permanently.
602  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 10, 2023, 05:33:25 PM
The current price of bitcoin is always interesting for us to observe, especially after the biggest increase that has occurred in January which reaches more than 40% and in my opinion the potential to skyrocket is very much awaited, the fact of August until now cannot pass $ 30k so that it makes us have to be patient and don't panic.
The price of Bitcoin had started to pump just yesterday and the chart is still in greed color which would tell us that it was picking up high. But yes, it wasn't enough to reach $30k and we don't know what holds them. However, I was not disappointed yet instead, I was positive that this month of August we are able to break the $30k. Well, for now, I was not thinking about skyrocket price, this year 2023 isn't the year of Bitcoin as it was still in favor to meme coins but despite with the current situation, faith is still there.
Compared to last year, this year could well be called a good year for bitcoin. The price is now more than double what it was at the beginning of the year. It is hard to say what will happen until the end of August, but this month is also favourable for bitcoin so far. I hope that the remaining few weeks will not bring a fall. But it's also probably too early to say that 30k will be broken.
603  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 10, 2023, 02:34:10 PM
And speaking of gamble there are those that view it as an irresponsible activity to embark on and whoever is into it is tag as irresponsible guy, for some it beyond being irresponsible but a sin something that is evil,  while some others out of an ugly experience of a loved one that got ruined by it due to extreme addiction.
This is even worse for women than for men. A man may be tagged irresponsible if he is found out to be a gambler and the society would be lenient with him. But for a woman? Never. She would carry the stigma everywhere with her forever. Nobody cares to know why she got addicted or how they can help. They'd crucify her with their words and actions.

Quote
But why continue in what you're not proud of by keeping it secret cause maybe you're worried about what people may say, how their thoughts about your person might change. Or how you might loose ties with someone you hold dear to. And many other reasons that follows.
It is not easy, that is why. It takes a lot of courage to come out of the closet as a gambling addict. You would have to face the shame from the religious standpoint, the embarrassment and disappointment from your family and friends and the stigma from the society. People who talk about their addiction are few and are real heroes for those struggling with it in the closet.
It seems to me that in today's society it doesn't matter if a man or a woman has a gambling addiction. Both sexes will be negatively perceived in society having such habits. Perhaps even the woman will be more regretted than the man, because women are usually considered weak and forgiven a lot. But the man will definitely be doomed to notoriety.

I guess I overestimated Marseille. This away game was very bad even without a red card. They didn't have many shots but got a lot of cards, as a result one red card. I think that in the home game they will not make such mistakes and will win the match. This match was the only surprise for me today.
605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: August 09, 2023, 05:35:00 PM
I think a bull run can occur if the price has reached $ 40k, now the big thing that must be passed by bitcoin is to be able to pass $ 30k, there was a price of $ 31k but not more than a day down again due to profit taking from investors.
You are probably right that bitcoin needs to break resistance and make it a support to start a new trend in the cryptocurrency market. But globally now many coins are at the bottom for a long time. It will not last long and a bull run is bound to happen.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 09, 2023, 04:34:29 PM
I'm looking forward to Panathiniakos vs Marseille. Although Marseille is the favorite, I expect them to struggle against Panathiniakos on the road. Marseille's offensive line is strong and I don't think they will have problems scoring goals.
Rangers, on the other hand, have to win against Servette. Servette is a team in form, but there is definitely a power difference between the two teams. I think there will be plenty of goals in the match and both teams will be eager to score.
Rangers and Marseille are without question the favourites in today's games. I think they will be the winners. But the third game between Slovan Bratislava and Maccabi Haifa makes me doubt who can win. Haifa probably has a slight advantage, but they play away, so it's hard for me to say who is stronger.

After all, this is the first leg and even if they can't win this one, at least they will still have a great chance for the second leg in a home match later. Thus, then at least the famous teams will probably be favored to win in this round, because in addition to them being famous teams but at least they have also become teams that are used to difficult competitions like this. So yes, especially about Marseille even though the opponent is also not a weak team but still, I believe that Marseille will be able to qualify.
Panathinaikos is not a serious opponent for Marseille. They are teams from very different quality leagues and Marseille will probably win this game not to be too tired in the return home match. Although this is foodball and there are often surprises. But I think that in this game everything will be predictable.

I am pleasantly surprised how Sparta Prague plays against Copenhagen away. I thought Copenhagen would win without any problems. But the match is not over yet, but the score is 0:0, and it is not known whether it will be a draw or someone can win. All I can say is that the visitors have a good goalkeeper.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if USDT falls down? on: August 08, 2023, 04:29:36 PM
If there is a collapse with usdt like there was with terra usd, it will cause the whole cryptocurrency market to fall. If the collapse of luna and ust led to a serious fall, the collapse of usdt will probably have very serious consequences. But at the same time it will be a good opportunity to buy bitcoin cheap, for example as it was in March 2020.
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $120k next year - by Robert Kiyosaki on: August 08, 2023, 03:05:58 PM
Many people buy or sell because they follow the advice of people they consider experts, of course as an expert they have good predictions, but in my opinion without predictions from Robert Kiyosaki next year's price could reach $ 120k due to many factors, especially there will be a halving day at the beginning of the year .
I wouldn't trust this guy much in terms of bitcoin price prediction. Sure he has experience in the markets, but as far as I remember he hasn't had much success in trading, but he has had success in writing. 120k next year looks very optimistic to me. I guess it could happen if the economies around the world are booming again and there is investment in all markets again, but so far I don't see that happening. Maybe after the US elections something will change, but not quickly.

PSV Eindhoven vs Sturm Graz

For third qualification stage in the first leg PSV will play as a host and here is the current odds for this match

PSV Eindhoven @1.40
Draw @4.50
Sturm Graz @7

It is clearly that PSV is the favourite in this match but i am not surprised if the bookie placed them as the favourite because since pre season tour PSV performance has been showing good progress that they got 4 wins from total 5 matches and the latest is PSV can able to beat Feyenoord with slim score at Johan Cruijff cup event so PSV currently in the good shape and besides that both teams has been met on 2021 at Europa league and at that time PSV can able to beat Sturm Graz twice and regarding bets option indeed the odds for PSV was quite low but i think this is safe bets because i am sure they will be able to win the match today

PSG has ever faced sturm two times and PSG has won all of matches against sturm. That odds is still good for PSV. It is clear that PSV has a superior squad compared to Sturm.. PSV will be on advantage caused by the game gonna happen at PSV's home.
Sturm is facing a disaster by playing away in the first leg against PSV. PSV will continue its record against sturm. I remind you that if sturm was inconsistent as the club was only winning a few times from the last five matches.

Strasbroug has defeated sturm in the pre season match. I think this gonna be an easy game for PSV.

PSV usually always played well in the early stages of European leagues. I remember being surprised by their good play in the last few seasons. I think they will win now too, especially as Sturm Graz are not such a strong club. They probably won't have a chance to win today.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: August 07, 2023, 07:09:00 PM
That is why it's so important to not use any money that we can't afford to lose.
I always try to do that, don't use money that has a clear purpose for gambling, and try to gamble only when I get extra money after the needs are met.
When I consistently do this, it turns out BUMM!! The numbers that I predicted in the lottery match matched but I failed to get a big win, because previously I only predicted but didn't place bets,
if only at that time I had used the money I had to place a bet, maybe I would have won it, but maybe this is the price I have to pay for consistency.

Luck still plays a huge role in gambling and with it we could win the jackpot.

We cannot completely rely on luck, even though this plays a large role in gambling games, but we still have to understand the rules of the game and continue to improve our analysis techniques in betting.

Probably in betting, as in any other gambling, there is always a 50/50 chance. That is, luck is the main component in gambling. Although I agree that in betting there should be a strategy or the right decisions to minimise the risks. But still I have not heard any success stories about people who can regularly earn money on betting.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 07, 2023, 02:50:39 PM

I would prefer to watch panathinaikos vs marseilla. I can't deny that marseille's performance was very bad in the previous matches. The club needs to win against panathinaikos to be qualified for UCL next season...
I will be surprised if Marseille lose that game vs Panathinaikos honestly. Odds are better for Marseille for sure but aren't that important, there is quite a high risk associated with such bet.
Marseille last season wasn't great but they consolidated their squad with many players, barely in every line from attack to defence. We will see if these signing will help them qualifying to Champions League and how far they could go.
I am sure that Marseille will beat Panathinaikos in an away game. It seems to me that there is no need to compare the level of these clubs. Moreover, it will be easy for them to pass to the next stage after the return home game. I think that Marseille will win away to be comfortable at home.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2023, 01:27:16 PM
PSG are just playing with fire by having two injury-prone players such as Dembele and Neymar in the squad. Dembele's release clause must be really attracting to them to go for the deal. But Dembele is no different than Neymar when it comes to having a serious part of a season as injured.

PSG management wants to take risks this season. Both Neymar and Dembele are in poor fitness. They rarely face injuries. However, as long as they stay with the squad, these two players are capable of performing well. There is no denying it. PSG management is willing to take risks. They have a lot of money. And if they don't get the expected performance from these two players then I think they will buy a new striker in winter transfer.

Quote
I won't be surprised if we see both of them being the same this season also. There was even a video that people were cheering Barcelona players when they were leaving the stadium in which they did it for Dembele when an ambulance left the stadium.  Cheesy

Last season Neymar appeared in 20 matches and Dembele played 25 matches in La Liga. Luis Enrique definitely has a different plan for these two players. Otherwise, he would not have kept two such injury-prone players in the squad at the same time. I look forward to seeing Luis Enrique's match strategy. Whether he can succeed with PSG we don't know yet.
Next season will be a serious test for PSG. The absence of two superstars will definitely have a negative impact on the team's game. Dembele and Neymar are of course good players, but last season even with Mbappe and Messi PSG hardly won. I think next season it will be very, very difficult for them.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: August 07, 2023, 11:39:36 AM
2023 is still more than 4 months and I think there is still a chance for rising, moreover many people are optimistic that the halving day that will occur at the beginning of 2024 will make a big impact at the end of this year so I am optimistic that the end of the year can reach at least 200% of the price now or about $58k.
It's hard to predict what could really happen. Think back to March 2020 when the price dropped tripple in a few days. That was just before the halving. Of course many believe that in 2023 the price could rise, but as long as resistance is not broken there could be a fall at any time.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 06, 2023, 03:37:19 PM
Barcelona aren't a weak team of course. They are just in a phase to make significant changes. They are playing with many young talents now. This is good from a point of view that creativity is always going to be at a high level. But creativity isn't enough by itself as well. This team need more team to get more experienced in the Champions League.

I'm thinking of another thing which is if it would be better for Xavi to make some changes in his system as for Champions League matches. Because maybe it isn't all about the players to do better. Tiki-taka football still works in the La Liga very well.

But as for the Champions League I feel like this system might not be a good choice in big matches.
Xavi doesn't have a lot of experience in his coaching career. But he already has a good achievement with Barcelona, they managed to win La Liga after a serious crisis. But I probably agree with you that the Champions League is a different level of cup, where the strongest clubs from all the other leagues play. Maybe in the future Xavi will have achievements here too.
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: August 06, 2023, 02:18:09 PM
We are between bull and bear market so it's very hard to tell in which way Bitcoin will go as summer cycle is still 1 month to go and we might see Bitcoin having another flash drop in price by the end of August.

After August , my assumption is that Bitcoin will slowly transit into a bull market and we should see most of the coins having a slow and steady increase in price but if this won't happen during this year , I'm afraid for 2024 when the halv happens.
No one can say where the price of bitcoin or altcoins will end up tomorrow, a month from now, or a year from now. But globally bitcoin looks more like an uptrend now, because the price at the beginning of the year was half of what it is now. But altcoins have been in a bear market for a long time, because the price of almost all coins is constantly falling.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussion about ETH on: August 06, 2023, 09:49:06 AM
Low tax? tax is depend on where you live and your nationally, I think what you meant is low gas fee.

The discussion about ETH 2.0 has been existed since long time ago and it looks like Vitalik Buterin not really care since there's no altcoin overtake ETH's position yet. Proof Of Stake is centralized and it never been a good protocol due to centralized.

The best undervalued crypto right now is Bitcoin.

     -    Remember from POW that Ethereum has done amazing POs, which means that ETH can still return to POW if vitalik buterin wants to,.. but nevertheless, whatever ETH has now, we can still say that it has good potential that can be given that is a profit for those who believe in it when it comes to long-term holdings.

Because it is certain that when the value of Bitcoin increases, the value of Ethereum will also kick in the market, and the majority of the community here in the crypto space has seen this many times.
Perhaps ETH can show better growth than bitcoin. It is the king of all altcoins for a reason. ETH is the basis for a very large number of projects that are constantly growing and new ones appearing. I think that in the future, when the issue of cryptocurrency regulation will be solved, many corporations will be able to start using ETH. And then a new era can begin with a change of priorities.
619  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 06, 2023, 08:38:11 AM
Yes the past month wasn’t high enough as we expected. Still Bitcoins managed to keep the price above 28k usd in the past month. If you ask me then definitely Bitcoin didn’t do bad, but it didn’t do well also. Nevertheless we know next year it will be big for Bitcoins, so yes we have to accumulate the coins now in order to make good profits during the bull run. I don’t have any high expectations from August, but assuming that the price will at least cross 32k usd. September will definitely be big according to my assumptions.
You can't be 100% sure bitcoin will do well next year. Yes, halving has always had a positive effect on the price, but we know this because it happened in the past. I think this could be an easy trap to manipulate. After all, anyone can buy bitcoin now and sell it for more in a year. Maybe one day it won't work. This summer has been neither bad nor good for bitcoin. Hopefully August will not disappoint us.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need a privacy coin that can only hide transaction amounts ? on: August 05, 2023, 09:23:19 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto originally wanted bitcoin to have privacy, but couldn't get it implemented properly. Only later did projects that provide privacy and anonymity to the owners of such coins begin to appear. I believe that everyone has the right to privacy, so I think it is good that such projects exist. But if we're talking about privacy, it should be total and not by any particular metrics.
