601  Economy / Reputation / Re: My philosophy to entrust and ~distrust members on: January 28, 2019, 10:58:21 PM
Negative feedback is not sort a punishment. It is more like a warning. In some situations they are removable while in other cases they are not. Those who received can resolve this by reaching the user who gave feedback and sort things out but instead most of them choose to not accept those mistakes and retaliate with every thing they can pick up to try to dent the reputation of user who negged him which worsens it more.

Some of DT members take here to level where they place a feedback when they are showing signs of untrustworthiness and I don't think they are doing a harm to the community by doing so.  I am also not sure about how one can be untrustworthy at some of the cases as you mentioned but every DT feedback has some point why they left it.

Sometimes it is necessary for a person to have information about that user with whom he intends to do any type of business. Whenever I see someone with a negative trust, I click to know for what reason he received that feedback. Even without any intention of doing any business with it. And there, in my opinion, comes the question of neutral feedback, in many situations a neutral feedback would be enough.

But Neutral FeedBack is not enough. Because it does not appear easily to anyone. I think it should be highlighted when any user receives any feedback. Be it neutral or from a person who is not a DT member. It could have much less prominence than the flashy colors of green and red. But enough for the person to read that feedback about that user.

For example, there was this case of a user pretending to be Brazilian. And with that, he participated in translation bounties. It took more than 7 months before he received a negative trust. And at that time, he continued to participate in translations. He clearly is not Brazilian, any Brazilian could see that. But the neutral tag he had received did not matter since no one read. Only now, with a negative tag, maybe the people who hire him read the topic about him and can decide if he's the right person for the job.

Breaking news:

Let me #wojbomb at you with - Anthony Davis has officially requested to be traded saying he has no intention of resigning with the Pels.

Well you can't blame the guy. He's been carrying this team his entire career and he only gone so far as the playoffs. There's been a lot of hope back then when he teamed up with boogie but we all know things didn't work out well then. Any superstar of AD's caliber would want to seriously contend for a title of course.

LA Laker and Lebron would want him but it will cost them Zo, Kuzma and more

They should give. They should offer anything, with the exception of LBJames. It's the great opportunity knocking on the door. AD is only 25 years old, would still have time to become the main star with the eventual retirement of LBJames. And for AD is also a great opportunity. He would play on a team that would probably play the next 3 conference finals.
603  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GigMe.io - Bitcoin / Lightning Network based rewards system on: January 28, 2019, 06:54:13 PM
I found this idea interesting. But the site seems a little big. And this background animation is exaggerated and unnecessary. Such a service would be interesting to access directly from the mobile, perhaps with just one app. So the page could be simpler.

Another issue is about not being able to see and test the platform before paying. When I click to sign up, I'll ask for $ 50. I do not know and do not trust the website to pay only to test and get to know the service.

he went on to state that he’s seen a lot of demand from people in specific industries, “like marijuana for example, that struggle with banking relationships and are very interested in Zap PoS.
This is interesting. I still believe that Bitcoin's great opportunities lie in the tourism industry and in the product industry that finds it difficult to establish relationships with banks. As is the case with marijuana. And now thinking better, if society moves in the direction of more liberal policies, with more individual freedoms, it would be great for Bitcoin.

Banks are conservative over many things to minimize the risks. A new industry that allows for free transit of money in a more open society can emerge against banks. Today, the only possible project in this direction is cryptocurrency.

change in our policies

Does anyone know what change they had made? KYC?

They had an incredible amount of pairs with shitcoins. They added almost any coin and kept it, even at a very low volume. I do not think the business model was really viable. In the bull market, the margins are very large and many businesses only existed because of this.

Are you asking the site to give back the value your child lost? Or to give back what he won?

What exactly is the value you are asking for?

I find it very improbable that a child of 12 years has managed to raise among his school friends more than $ 6200. And then, he exchanged that amount for Bitcoins, he created an account on a Dice website. All this in a few weeks...
607  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto-Jackpot.com free 22$ to bitcointalk users on: January 28, 2019, 03:16:07 AM
It would be better to offer a small bonus, maybe $ 2 per review, and a prize of $ 50 in BTC, directly on the wallet for the best review.

The 2 dollars in BTC would be deposited in the site account and could be withdrawn after participating in any game and writing the review. You could get much more positive publicity and spending far less
608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitMEX question...? on: January 28, 2019, 02:44:25 AM
I keep getting this error when trying to place a limit order..

order has execinst of participate don't initiate

what does this mean??

Do you get this message when you directly use the Bitmex platform, or are you using some other App?

The message you receive is "ParticipateDoNotInitiate" ?
"Also known as a Post-Only order. If this order would have executed on placement, it will cancel instead. "

This is related to Stop Limit. And usually appears when using other apps or charts.

I don't have the internet speed to watch a video in a timely fashion. But I'm sure I can find the answer elsewhere.

There is no definitive date yet. What exists is the discussion of the ideal format for discussions and dissemination of the project. And possibly a release in the next few weeks of formal specs. It is a call so that the people who like the project can participate with their doubts and suggestions.
610  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: LocalBitcoin foi hackeada on: January 27, 2019, 10:41:23 PM
Não foi a plataforma, foi um phishing utilizando o site do forum deles. Pessoal visitava o forum e aparecia como deslogado, quando digitava as informações o hacker pegava os dados e retirava os Bitcoins da conta.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: This Bubble is Different on: January 27, 2019, 10:34:12 PM
Anything that has a price and opportunity for speculation can be a bubble. It is very difficult to determine the value of something. Especially when it is traded in several markets around the world.

If you believe the price will stabilize at 1400USD, you do not believe it's a bubble. You're just betting on a devaluation.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who sold Bitcoin Gold At Close To All Time High? on: January 27, 2019, 10:14:31 PM
I sold mine immediately after Bitrex and Binance opened the pair with Bitcoin. I do not know if it was the biggest price, but it was definitely one of the best decisions I made. I did the same with all the other forks.

614  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Lawyers Beware! Blockchain Disruption in the Legal Industry has Arrived on: January 27, 2019, 07:18:30 PM
The great challenge of the platforms that offer smart contracts is not the scalability. It's the challenge of a decentralized oracle. The middleman of trust. As long as there is no consensus of an oracle that can actually serve as a middleman in most contracts, and recognized by governments, the figure of the Judge and the lawyers will still be much needed.
615  Other / Meta / Re: [Userscript] Report to moderator on post history on: January 27, 2019, 03:32:23 AM
This has probably been suggested before as a change in the forum, but maybe creating a script is simpler.

Show the amount of Merit that has been distributed in a topic in the title on the section list of topics. You would know how many merits a topic received before opening it. In the same way, we can see the number of responses and views that a topic had.

thanks for sharing. There are great maths behind ethereum 2.0. The tables he has shown are really simple and easy to understand. "The user must first acquire 32 ETH.."

Is there any possibility of Neutral Feedback being displayed? I mean, without the need to go to the user's profile?

I believe that in many situations neutral feedback about the user becomes necessary, but almost nobody will know that it exists.  Knowing that there is an investigation, discussion or even doubt about that user can be very useful in several situations.
619  Other / Meta / Re: Dear Theymos,i have a good idea. on: January 26, 2019, 02:15:59 PM
I think Theymos always try to get as close as possible to decentralized systems. Both with the Merit system and with the Trust System. Often, the suggestions involve centralizing the decisions in some people, like hiring someone or leaving with the mods, or a system of votes. Creating a democracy, with a system of equal votes for each user, is very difficult in an environment where anonymity must prevail. In this current system, it seems to me that the opinion of each user is quite important, although I have not studied the system completely. That is, you add someone or remove someone always counts. I do not have anyone on my Trust list, just the Defalt, but I removed some user I do not trust in opinion.

620  Other / Meta / Re: The name is the same as, staff, monderator forum. on: January 25, 2019, 06:45:53 PM
theymos_away is an alt account from theymos. SatoshiDice is a the companies Pr. Recently an user using a nick #bitcoinCore was tag. He was not trying to cheat anyone, so he was allowed to change his nick.

But sometimes others users try to impersonate theymos or other staff members. Especially with copper membership and the auction. So people need to always have extra careful when receiving a private message
