601  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: August 12, 2016, 03:50:02 PM
If you explain clearly it will not be difficult. Good luck with that.
though it is really hard to explain something clearly, in my opinion to tell your girlfriend about it you have to read some tutorials about it

I think girls will hate reading tutorials, its better we show them directly how to earn it and if they find it interesting then she may start using bitcoin.

Yeah not only girls but people in general is too lazy and don't care about technical stuff. I don't think we will see a mainstream bitcoin usage in a long time. Maybe Kim Dotcom can actually help.
602  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A slap to the FBI. Online drug sales triple after Silk Road closure on: August 12, 2016, 03:30:57 PM
It's an never ending battle. I don't understand why they even bother, no matter how many times you close Silk Road, by the time you catch the guy there are 10 news Silk Roads. Why can't adults take drugs freely? And I don't even drink beer.
603  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: August 12, 2016, 03:23:49 PM
Buy altcoins, like etc, eth, steem, xcp, strat, and so forth. They are legit ones, in the future will be pumped seriously.
Looks like the ETC pump is starting, still in the very early stages, whales are probably still accumulating on the low 30's before moon.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying ETH now is the most retarded move a person can make on: August 10, 2016, 06:17:47 PM
I agree. How can a coin that can hard fork at any moment be a safe investment?

Dont you see that as soon as DAO 2.0 happens they will bailout again? Its a joke.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So, are all the previous ETH haters now ETH(ETC) lovers??? on: August 10, 2016, 06:11:09 PM
ETH is crap after what they did with this hardfork rush, price of ETC is irrelevant. I sold ETC and will buy more ETC once ETH forks again cause something goes wrong with a DAO part 2. Im sure ETC will go up again.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone offering 12.5 BTC to tweet about Steem! on: August 10, 2016, 06:03:35 PM
It's interesting how with money you can promote a service so easy nowadays through the internet. Years ago it was so hard to promote stuff.

I think they should start a signature campaign too.
607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got a virus and watched my coins disappear on: August 10, 2016, 05:51:30 PM
I was gambling on directbet and only betting 1mbtc and .5mbtc at a time and I started with .14 in my bitcoin core wallet. Can anyone recommend anything? I know I won't get my coins back but Ill tip when I get my signature earnings
I'm I the only one having trouble comprehending whatever was just being said ? I know the OP is hacked, his coins are stolen and I have no idea how did that happen.OP,mind explaining in a detail a bit ? Plus, move it to the appropriate section, not the services content.

Well I dont download anything on this computer, someone stole my wallet.dat file I assume

You did not encrypt the wallet.dat file? that is very strange, it should be mandatory to encrypt wallet.dat. And even then you still need anti malware tool to prevent keyloggers.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardfork = Mitosis on: August 10, 2016, 05:46:50 PM
Let the smart people work. Core devs are doing a good job by being conservative. Lets keep being conservative and after segwit and so on we can consider a +1mb increase.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: August 10, 2016, 05:36:00 PM
it always depends , because if you use to send your money to another bitcoin wallet ofcourse there's a little tax and if you also use gambling where you send your profit to your bitcoin wallet there's always a tax but if you change you bitcoin into fiat it always depends if what you use because if your from philippines and if you are using coins.ph then probably you know the remitance centers and banks Smiley
Those aren't really tax since there's no government involved in bitcoin transactions but they are considered tax since the tx fees are paid to the miners as a sort of incentive to them.
Sending from wallet to wallet always have tax even when it's either from another bitcoin user a gambling site. Except using Xapo wallet though. Using their wallet service, you don't really have to pay any tx fee.

How come with Xapo you don't have to send transaction fee? It does not make sense to me... bitcoin transactions aren't free, it doesn't matter what wallet you are using.
610  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2016, 05:26:54 PM
The Kim Dotcom hype is real. I can predict that we will minimum trespass the latest ATH and go beyond the 1200 dollar mark, which will inevitably skyrocket the price since the physical barrier will be lost.
611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins true potential on: August 09, 2016, 05:23:24 PM
The potential is insanely high. Multiple million dollars per coin (inflation adjusted) once money from all fronts enters BTC. This is why having 21 BTC is a must for long term.
612  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i go 50/50 with gold and bitcoin? on: August 09, 2016, 05:08:22 PM
Its a decent investment strategy, but if I was young and I had no debt I would forget about gold and go all in on bitcoin, if you want to make it big you will not do that with gold.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 09, 2016, 04:42:28 PM
Investing is a requirement to get rich unless you are one of the few that lands a very high paying job when you are young. This is very unlikely, so you are better off trying to have luck with investments.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: August 09, 2016, 03:52:00 PM
I think what has been aforementioned about end of physical cash is a key point to drive Bitcoin to 100.000+ value. This and the end of the petrodollar as the oil industry collapses, will help too.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is good for BTC on: August 09, 2016, 03:32:32 PM

While Ethereum has been seen as a competitor to BTC, the DAO crowd sale is about to reach its first price increment and it has already raised 65M USD. The USD price of ETH and BTC have both risen. This shows that there in not a predatory relationship occurring but rather a symbiotic one. The two serve diverse enough needs that they can grow by offering enough of what the other cant. I know the DAO is still a concept and could easily fail. So was BTC when it was first proposed and despite all the skepticism it succeeded. The DAO is a valid objective. What BTC offers is the most accessible and secure network. I hope more energy is focused on how the two ecosystems can evolve symbiotically and ignore the wasted energy of predation while there is a world of fiat to colonize.

The difference between BTC and ETH is that BTC did never fork over money being stolen, so now thanks to ETH we know we never have to put money on that thing if we want an immutable, stable chain that is not prone to hard forks all the time.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ETC Hashrate climbing steadily on: August 09, 2016, 03:29:05 PM
Why do you think the hashrate is increasing? The profibility is higher.

The majority of miners don't have any ethics and don't care if eth or etc wins. They care which one fills their bags faster. As long as the ETC price is high, miners will switch to ETC.

If price starts dropping, profibility will lower and people will switch back again. It is not a matter of which coin the miners support. And if they did, the clusterfuck is even bigger than before: "Hey let's hardfork to protect our coins" --> ETC price rises --> "Hey let's forget about the fork and continue on the old chain for a while, as long as the hackers doesn't dump, I can make a bit more mining this".

That is right. When the ETC price is 10% of the current value, the hash rate will also be 10% of the current value.

But what if ETC reaches ETH's price? Will it get all of ETH's hash rate? Vitalik should not underestimate the movement coming in the original Ethereum classic. The are not motivated by profit but are also motivated by doing what is right despite knowing there is a hacker who holds a lot of coins ready to dump. This is also Vitalik's fault for handling the hard fork sloppily.

If the ETC reaches the ETH price, the hash rate will also be the same. But I think the dump by the hackers will make sure the price does not rise.

Why in the fuck do people keep selling that the hacker will dump? if he dumps the exchanges will report him to the feds because they will trace his transactions through the blockchain and it will be too obvious he is the whale hacker so he will sell in small doses. Hacker fear = mindless fud.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Obvious ETC manipulation to keep the price low on: August 09, 2016, 03:27:19 PM
It is obvious that whales are shaking weak hands constantly and accumulating. There are way too many whales invested to let this fall. There will be an huge pump. Huge whales like Barry Silbert and the Chinese mining mogul Chandler Guo are invested deeply, make no mistake, it will pump and it will pump hard.
618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Dropped to 594.2$ @Preev . on: August 08, 2016, 10:20:10 PM
Preev is a great website, I always use this one to check the price because having bitcoinwisdom opened just to see the firefox tag is too resource consuming for nothing on my old pc.
619  Economy / Speculation / Re: The whole ETH/ETC situation is teaching us what BTC should have done a long time on: August 08, 2016, 10:03:12 PM
Lmao are you suggesting a hard fork just to give the psychological perception to idiots that they are owning more? cmon man, this is absurd. Hard forking to raise the block size is enough of a risk, let alone doing this thing, get some perspective lol.
620  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: August 08, 2016, 09:59:42 PM
1000 dollars is just too conservative, once the great rise starts it will be QUICK and HIGH, theres no stopping in 1000, we will continue climbing once the psychological barrier is reached.
