621  Other / Meta / Re: What rewards does the one who Merits someone for quality post gets in return? on: June 12, 2020, 11:46:34 AM
Like what they've said, you will not get rewards (e.g. money, freebies etc.) in return once you give merits to anyone. But with the simple act of kindness that you did, good karma will follow you for sure. The receiver might give merit to your previous or future posts to show their deepest gratitude. I guess that's the closest thing we can consider as a reward Cheesy.

But take note, the post must considered having a good quality first, and not given just because you want to pay it forward. Simply because it might look "merit farming" in the eyes of other members.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: June 12, 2020, 09:16:27 AM
If you have any ideas which other apps I should add please let me know.

And share your experience with them as well.
At my first glance, all apps which belong on the lists are all legit since Coinbase is included. But better to check them one by one of course. To be honest, I haven't try any of them so far but I've already experienced such schemes before so I hope I can share something with you Smiley.

The first three apps just offer cashbacks wherein you will use their app instead of going to the actual online store. I may say that Yes! you can earn due to savings but the total amount of money you can earn still depends on how large or how frequent you buy online. Thus you will find a hard time on accumulating them. Actually, until now I am not benefited by my savings because they're few (I already forget the site as well lol). Furthermore, I've also tried answering surveys and doing different tasks for exchange of crypto before but all of them are not paying me so until now I have trust issues regarding this stuff Grin.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short suggestion and situation on: June 12, 2020, 04:58:05 AM
I thought it would take another month for graduation to end and then I would go out looking for a job but now what I see is that I have to make the house my job! So I'm trying to do something online !! And I think this will be suitable for everyone who does not want to sit !!

Join with altcoin is the best.
Oh it seems that you're also a "professional tambay" at the moment (fyi, tambay is a term here in our country pertaining to those people who got nothing to do in life Grin). I know it s*cks dude because we're the same. It's been 4 months already after I passed the board exam yet I still don't have a decent job right now. But well, you're right coz we got no option but to find online.

Hmm about the altcoin, handling this is a little bit riskier than btc so be careful. If you are not yet experienced then try btc first or at least popular old coins in the market to lessen the chaces of losing Smiley.
624  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Pump and Dump Scheme? on: June 12, 2020, 03:03:29 AM
How Do We Avoid Pump and Dump Coins?
~
Or, just stick with bitcoin and don't buy any altcoins? That'll avoid all of them.
Hahaha it makes sense for me Cheesy. With altcoins, you can expect an end after most of the investors dump their coins because that's the moment when it becomes a sh*tcoin. No one wants to buy a sh*tcoin, right? While on the side of bitcoin, many will choose to trust it over and over again thus the cycle never eneds. It was well founded and too worthy to dump it forever.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: June 12, 2020, 01:21:35 AM
Just like Bitcoin; banks can be a traditional and Bitcoin becomes much easier and comfortable to use.
This is very possible to happen. However, we can't do anything right now but to wait such mobile game which adds that kind of feature. Most probably MOBA games will do this in the future if ever because gamers are really hooked in these games and definitely willing to spend just to get cool in game items/skins Cheesy.

Actually, bitcoin will provide a more comfortable means of payment for gamers because they can access their crypto wallets through smartphone as well. There's no longer need to open bank accounts on PC or go to a website first before buying.
626  Other / Meta / Re: Why am i still a JR. Member? :s on: June 11, 2020, 12:13:45 PM

The ranking is not a race here but still, it matters because it reflects for any contributions you give to
Well, you made a good point. Merit for us is the same as Medal of Honor for soldiers — the more you have, the better you are. It represents how experienced and intelligent you are indeed. However, I just want to give emphasis that having no or at least only few merits doesn't mean that you're not making contributions at all. Actually, your existence here matters a lot already (given that you are not a sh*tposter or any kind of violator here) because each one of us here serve as a building block of this community.

So for those lower ranked members who are now losing hope, chin up! You can improve, you can be a blessing to anyone Smiley.
627  Other / Meta / Re: Why am i still a JR. Member? :s on: June 11, 2020, 06:03:09 AM
Yeah when i noticed how much merit is required i kinda gave up aswell tbh, will ofcourse continue here as before but i definitely won't be focussed on obtaining higher ranks or anything like that, if i do rank up that would be great tho ofcourse.
Great! Don't stress yourself too much about ranking up. Just continue what you are doing and I'm sure receiving merits will come along your way. The important thing is you are learning new stuffs here — those knowledge you acquired are more worthy than anything else. Good luck to your journey, don't forget to have fun while staying here as well Smiley.
628  Economy / Economics / Re: What opportunity costs will governments take. on: June 11, 2020, 04:51:42 AM
in my opinion the opportunity cost that must be prioritized by the government is the economic and health sectors. Because the two
sectors are very affected by COVID19. Provide medical equipment including a special building for victims of COVID19
I absolutely agree on that! Since our country $1.25B to fight Cvid 19, then the best way for utilizing the money they get is by spending it to improve the health sector. They must prioritize:

1. Improving our laboratories here because I can feel that we're already late to the latest technologies available
2. Buy PPEs, masks and essential materials to protect our frontliners against the disease
3. Give incentives to our health workers because they're not invincible after all. Risking their lives should be compensated by money at least.
4. After surviving this pandemic, I think government should now focus on funding post-pandemic plans just in case.

Honestly, I'm not sure with the talks regarding mass testing even many people are demanding for it. I find it inefficient and expensive at the same time (just my opinion tho).

Another concern, since most of us are now living in a so called "new normal" which means most activities are held online. I really hope our government will make steps to improve the internet connection in our country. It is so embarrassing to admit that we are one of the few countries in SEA region who got slow Internet connection Sad.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 10, 2020, 09:10:45 AM
The trilogy is on Shocked — the best way to make a conclusion on their rivalry! Miocic vs Cormier III will be held on August 15. I'm so excited now. Let's see who will defend the title against Ngannou lol.

UFC 251

Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns is the main event.
I knew it! Burns next match would be a title shot Cheesy. What I'm not expecting is why it seems too fast. I wonder if Burns can be able to fully recover and acquire adequate training with the given amount of time. But anyway, there's no turning back for him. This might be his last chance so he must give everything to beat Nigerian Nightmare.
630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie need help to understand the forum!! on: June 10, 2020, 05:59:31 AM
Hi Everyone!! I am new here and this is the very first post can you can tell me how does this forum works and how does it pay people and also how much it pay as we know we can learn and earn from this forum at the same time so if you can help me it would be helpfull for me. Wink
How ironic that you are asking about the pay rates of bounties/sig campaigns (I presume you are pertaining to those things) but already know how to wear a signature Roll Eyes. Are you really new here or just a new account?

Well, first of all this is not a place for job hunting. Yes you can earn here but only few bucks dude — I guess only enough for buying few snacks. Sorry for bursting your bubble.

Personally I think that life experience and some practical knowledge is more important than some experience and knowledge about this forum.
Of course. Your rank here doesn't define your whole intelligence. Each one of us got their own specialties. Some of us are low ranked because they are not as geeky as the others, maybe they are average when it comes to computer technology but expert when it comes to practical skills or other fields of the industry. So everyone here must not feel bad about himself.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coca Cola going to join Cryptocurrencies Australia and New Zeland on: June 09, 2020, 11:55:49 PM
Oh that's cool! I wish they will also bring this more advance vending manchines in the Philippine market. I think that would be a good idea since Coca cola is the leading brand of softdrink here in our country (just my honest opinion, I really love its taste compare to others). If ever happened, for sure many Filipinos will become aware of bitcoin and in that case their company will be the first who will feel the effect once they did their first adoptions. It's a win-win situation, right? Smiley
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 09, 2020, 11:12:39 AM
[snip]

I'm not trying to be pessimistic here but the current scenario (COVID testing) does not look good to me as more and more people are getting the virus and with the GCQ status, people are going out of their house so the danger of infecting others and getting the virus is much higher now.
Indeed, that's why PBA should not be hasty. Resuming the events would definitely open a huge gateway for the virus to spread more which later results to further longevity of community quarantines. I'm pretty sure our government will not  risk such possibilities, isn't it? So for now, I'm not expecting that PBA will come soon. Maybe we should wait for few months more (-ber months could be a nice date) especially knowing that we still got huge number of cases on a daily basis Sad.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH better than BTC for payment? on: June 09, 2020, 06:39:35 AM
Both are perfectly fine for payments, I would say. However, it still depends on what you are currently holding. I mean, if a person uses bitcoin as store of value, then he might choose to make payments in the same asset. Otherwise, he will need to exchange it for another cryptocurrency like Ethereum to make a transaction.
Yup unless you got a wallet which holds mulitiple coins. It decreases the time and hassle you spend from the process of converting through the use of an exchange. But to be honest, I still stick to btc though I am using such kind of wallet. I don't actually mind if eth is the obvious better option here because I already got used to btc. I'm satisfied with its speed and I can't feel the fees also. For me a 1% fee is not so big. Well, I guess maybe that's because I only withdraw small amount of money and my opinion change once I withdraw bigger Cheesy.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is ...... ? What does your auto fill suggest ? on: June 09, 2020, 03:34:20 AM

It showed legit followed by legal.
What a coincidence, we got the same results Cheesy. But if I include all in the dropdown list, I also found "bitcoin is dead" and "bitcoin is down". It seems that Google is wrong at that point lol.

How funny to think that many people claim that bitcoin is dead blah blah just because we're in bearish days. But this false prophecies are debunked by the reality so many times already. As we can see, btcoin keeps soaring high as time goes by. That's why I feel pity on those nonbelievers, they're missing a lot of opportunities on defending their belief.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19 Impact on the Indian Economy on: June 09, 2020, 01:52:02 AM
I feel you bro, I'm sure that most of the countries feel the same thing. Here in our country, our economy is falling and the worse news is that our country's debt to P9.59T as of May Sad. But on the brighter side, fortunately for us that our government already decided to lift ECQ from few province/areas and shift to GCQ where you can move more freely. Essential establishments are now open and manpower is moving already as well. Though there are problems with regards to public transportation due to social distancing protocol but at least we are now slowly going back to normal (or let's say new normal). That's the most important thing right now.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 08, 2020, 10:18:47 AM
If there's a rematch between the two, Mayweather would still remain the favorite of the fight, despite being inactive for awhile now, that's unquestionable.
We're not sure about that Wink. For sure his charisma to the audience is decreasing, because like what you've said, he doesn't have a fight for quite a long time. While on the other hand, Manny keeps on building his legacy which ables him to attracts more supporters. But to be honest, if they will have a rematch in the future I'm still not sure whether Manny can take his revenge. Mayweather's Shoulder Roll seems impenetrable.
If we say the last fight of Manny, there are rounds in the fight that Manny has struggled when he is pressurd and I think GGG is bigger and stronger than Thurman, so this is definitely an interesting fight.
Indeed and I believe he can defy this odds. I think Manny should use to GGG the technique he used to beat Margarito before because they almost got the same height. His speed could be his trump card as we know that he got the reach disadvantage Smiley
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 08, 2020, 07:39:29 AM
I have been waiting for His next Fight so if this will be happening this year?then i have saved my betting amount for Him.
I don't think it will happen this year. I've heard on the TV news last Saturday (as a far as I remember) that Bob Arum is very optimistic for Pacquiao vs Crawford to happen before this year ends. Here's a reference that you can read: https://www.boxingnews24.com/2020/06/crawford-vs-pacquiao-possible-for-bahrain-in-2020/

So most probably his fight against GGG would happen next year.
[snip]
Yeah this is the problem if Manny needs to adjust.this can be disadvantage in His part but i am still believe in Manny's capacity to win in His fight.
Oh yes! I still do believe that Manny can pull this off. It's undeniable that he is old but let's not forget that he is not an ordinary old man Wink. He can beat younger fighters despite of his age.

Pacquiao is the underdog in this match. So he must work harder because the reward in the end is very promising  — breaking his own record. I now excited for this!
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advisable Approach To Study bitcoin on: June 08, 2020, 04:43:17 AM
Every time I want to know something, the first thing I usually do is to focus on the main concept first before going to the more advance topics. For example, let's assume I am going to study Fluid Mechanics. The first thing I will do is to know the meaning of it, its significance and applications, also a little bit of history then after I finished it that's the time that I will go on memorizing the fundamental formulas. And then after that, I apply all of it on next topics like Buoyancy, Pressure Vessel etc.

That's my technique, I stick on mastering the basics because they are all applicable even how complicated the next topic is. Like on trading, I always mind the "Buy low, Sell high" rule. With this basic knowledge I have, I am no longer afraid and will not struggle to learn sophisticated ones such as alt daytrading or even stock market. Just don't forget the basics because that's your tool on creating path to understand advance topics.
I hope you get my point Cheesy

Anyway, why don't you try Crypto Detail. You will like it for sure.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 08, 2020, 01:53:59 AM
And still...Nunes got her win, not as fast finish as people expected,
but victory was still clear, on points, and she was dominant in this fight.
Dana White said he was praying that fight would be stopped, as he was worried about Felicia Spencer health.
That knockout was insane, actually I wasn't expecting that since both are exhausted already. I thought Felicia can endure all the damage until the end. Amanda prove to us that she remains that pound for pound champ in the women's division, no doubt about it. My question is who do you think can stop Amanda now? I look on the rankings and I haven't seen contenders who can beat her (IMO).
Great fight and win also for Sean O'Malley and he got a 50k bonus.
12 wins and 0 loses for him so far!
What he did is very impressive. What I see on him is a slimmer, funny (because of his rainbow color hairdo) and a little bit drugged (he looks dry compare on the first time I saw him, peace yow) McGregor Cheesy. Nevertheless, I love his fighting style. He looks so relaxed and very technical. I get amazed as the commentators analyzed his knockout punch yesterday. I am now craving for more Suga Show!
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN to the MOON on: June 07, 2020, 11:38:14 AM
Lol, I have seen this after a long time. Altcoin to the moon  Cheesy I think we are far away from alt to the moon. Usually, we have to have BTC ATH before we see altcoin ATH. It has been a while altcoin has lost more than 90% price but yet to recover. I can not see any sign at the moment.
Did altcoin landed on the moon? When? Lol. But kidding aside, let's accept the hard truth. Altcoins, whether new or old, will remain in the shadows of btc. That's a constant thing inside the cryptosphere Grin (at least on our lifetime tho). And that's the main reason why I stopped investing to alt particularly eth. I noticed that they got the same trend so why I settle for less. I'll definitely go with the pioneer.

But don't get me wrong. I love to see it's good to see alts blooming as well, it attracts more investors which makes our market livelier.
