621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Portfolio for longterm investment on: June 06, 2022, 02:09:24 PM
I would keep Polygon and ENJ and dump the rest of those. I would rebuild my portfolio with other promising L1s, like HBAR, CNDL, and IOTA, and I wouldn't buy any dog coins. Sure, dog coins have pumps but if you don't time it right, you will be left holding the bag.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Market Can Be A Waste Of Time or Useful Depending on How We Approach It on: June 06, 2022, 02:07:14 PM
Projects don’t exactly fail in the bear market they just get devalued as compare to their launching value. This is very common and investors also get scared and start converting their assets into stable coins or fiat sometimes. The problem is this causes even stronger panic into projects because coins are liquidated at alarming rate. The whole process is chaotic and could really make project go into dormant stages. This makes project struggle a lot before it can reach to the highest level one more time.
It is what happened.

Every bear market, too many projects that are failing and that's because of the devaluation and they're being left by most investors. The reason for it is that they don't see the value anymore for those projects, most of them are new.

Bear market being useful is all about being an investor and you accumulate at this time because everything is cheaper than before. Until you see the bulls again or until the price of these projects bump up and you're lucky that you've chosen good projects.
I've seen the highest returns investing in projects that launch during a bear market. Yes, these projects raise less funds but the upside is greater than older projects with a lot of bag holders looking to dump on new investors. CNDL is one L1 project that I am looking to invest in but I'm also looking at Layer 0 projects.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Proposal for LUNA on: June 06, 2022, 02:04:47 PM
I don't think about anything for luna anymore, and in my opinion, it is one of the cryptocurrencies that should be avoided in the crypto money industry right now. Because instead of covering their faults with this new coin, they officially cursed their investors. There are people who deposited thousands of dollars and their money evaporated overnight. From now on, I would definitely not recommend investing. Because once trust has been broken, I don't believe they can be the same as before.
Correct. People are moving on to the next big thing after Luna and HEX, like Candle Chain and Hedera Hashgraph. Both of these chains are technically superior to Luna, offer staking in a more sustainable fashion than HEX's ponzinomics and have real world utility.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good for future hold? on: June 06, 2022, 02:03:04 PM
If you have the guts, then HOLD can be done, but if not then of course you will not stand it,
remember about the LUNA incident, what about their holders who have bought at $1 or even $50?,
yes they are frustrated and some are really dead, hopefully we can learn how HOLD works
Don't hold meme coins or scams like LUNA and HEX. Don't invest in anything that you wouldn't want to be stuck holding for 3-5 years in a crypto bear market. Personally, I sold all of my dog coins for CNDL because investing in L1s means that you profit from everything being built on top of it. It's like investing in the internet pre-google.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Read this before you exit crypto space on: June 06, 2022, 02:00:44 PM
Before you decide to go away from crypto space simply because we are in a bear market I want you to know that some amazing stuffs was built in the last bear market, our so called Ethereum killers

1. Hedera  2. Solana. 3. Algorand.  4. Avalanche.

These projects came in the bear market, if you walk away now till next btc halving you will be missing a lot of future opportunities.
Now is the time to be accumulating L1 blockchains like HBAR, CELO and CNDL. Even with POS, Ethereum will not be able to compete with these newer chains on fees and scalability. Eventually people will abandon Ethereum. L2 blockchains can not compete with scalable L1 chains because they will inevitable have higher fees due to settlement on Ethereum and settlement delays of up to 1 week on withdrawals.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you filling your bags? on: June 03, 2022, 03:39:20 PM
Still, the crypto market is dumped, have you filled your bags? Often we worried when the market becomes down for any reason. But we don't think that as an opportunity to accumulate in low. Whales do that and make a big profit whereas small traders like us lose money. I have accumulated a few top coins though it is down from the buy price. But still, I am holding and moved to Ledger for long holding. What about you? Have you filled your bags? Or just watching and waiting for more dips?
I'm putting all of my money and my paychecks into crypto. I'm not taking loans or anything crazy to buy more ICP and XRP, but I am eating canned food and ramen. This is how you make it.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto bubble popping is a good thing? on: June 03, 2022, 03:38:35 PM
The original purpose of cryptoCURRENCY was to be form of a decentralized, anonymous, borderless, unstoppable CURRENCY. Unfortunately, due to rapid appreciation of the value of Bitcoin it attracted unsavory characters who have turned into a trillion dollar speculative investment industry. Most "investors" are a lot more interested in a pump and dump scheme to "get that Lambo" rather than support something that has potential real world utility, like Helium (wireless coverage), Nano (fast feeless payments) or Monero (anonymity).
With the market crashing and a lot of speculators getting burned, is it possible that we will see a cleansing of the industry with people being a lot more selective into what they are investing in?
Do you think we will in the next 3 years
1. See thousands of me/shitcoins collapse bringing attention/money to hundred or so most innovating currencies.
2. Almost the entire industry will collapse, leaving only a dozen or so largest cryptos standing.
3. Memecoins/shitcoins are here to stay.

And do you think crypto will ever be thought of as a currency at any point, or are we stuck with this "asset" mentality?
The projects that were money grabs from the start, like SOL, Luna, and Shiba will fail. Projects that are building new technical standards and have business usecases, like XLM, XRP and ICP, will prosper coming out of this bear market. That said, there will always be a new batch of meme coins popping up, you can't stop it.
just don't get stuck holding the bag on memecoins!

629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 03, 2022, 03:36:03 PM
I am confused that there are meme coins whose prices are sky rocketing but I dont see any real value these meme coins are providing
They aren't providing any value, especially when you compare them to projects like HBAR, which has google and banks on its governing board, and ICP, which is a blockchain that is able to host websites and gives those websites Web3 functionality. Your dog token can't do that.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Want to invest on: June 03, 2022, 03:32:31 PM
Keep some XRP for long term. Ripple XRP on LOBSTR is verified. I also hold XRP on Uphold. Notice they have different coins/Logos. I’m keeping it all just in case. ADA is also another good one which spikes 15% in 24 hours
XRP has made a lot of developments since last year but the price movement is not significant, I don't think we will reap much profit even if we keep this coin for a long time, although the risks that will be faced in the future for XRP coin holders are also likely to be small, I think it's not Wort It.
ADA is a great option, I agree to this.
XRP and ICP are great. I don't agree about ADA and I don't see why people like it so much considering it is using obsolete technology and is so far a lot of hype and vapourware.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOLANA GO TO...? on: June 03, 2022, 03:31:20 PM
What do you think about the SOL coin, they said they would join opensea so that currently the exchange on the Solana network is very crowded and withdrawals have been suspended on any exchange.
does this bode well for this coin or is it the other way around? Wink
Solana appears to be garbage and their consensus mechanism is a failure. Or, maybe that's what they want us to think so they can buy our bags cheaper. Anyway, I'm not investing or putting my funds on a blockchain that has to be resuscitated every week. I know my funds are safe on Polygon, ICP, and Ethereum, and so they will stay there.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: June 03, 2022, 03:29:28 PM
While the market is on a downward trend, Bitcoin the giant of the crypto market has seen a drastic drop, and other altcoins followed the same trend, will we be able to recover, another coin like Luna did a total crash which is so bad for investors. In this scenario, can we still trust a high and unpredictable volatile I investment such as altcoin in this bear season?
Good question. We already saw some alts start to pop off, which indicates to me that whales know that this bear market is only temporary and that things have bottomed. Retail investors are still fearfull but smart money isn't and is buying more ICP and Ethereum.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can crypto go lower than 95% on: June 03, 2022, 03:28:07 PM
Terra Luna went 99% down and when people thought it can’t go down anymore and bought in, it went down another 99%. If a project is on the verge of death, it can go down a lot. Sometimes you just can’t buy the dip because there isn’t any. It goes down and down… I believe most alts have the same potential of going to zero as terraluna. Most ICO era alts are not around anymore so be careful with your investments.
When you thought it's the lowest, but things can get worse than before, that was indeed what happened with Luna. At least V2 has brought back a bit of hope for Luna, but can't really tell whether it can bring back luna to its colorful days or not.

Just as you said, most alts has the same risks of being "dead" or something, no matter how good they are. If it's time, it's time.
I mean, it's already a huge risk buying the dip, but if only you can afford to lose your money, then go ahead, if you can't, then just wait for a better market condition to buy.
I don't understand why anyone would buy a proven scam though, regardless of the price. Especially when there are so many bluechip cryptos out there with world changing technology and adoption, like XRP (which is partnered with hundred of banks) and ICP (which is building a new internet on the blockchain).
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022 is the time to buy or sell? on: June 03, 2022, 03:26:28 PM
Hello,
2022 is the time to buy or sell? If it is time to buy, then which coins or tokens?

Thank you.
2022 is a year and within that year there will be many market fluctuations. It's not like the stock market where you can have a run up for a decade before any dip. I'm not selling my XRP, ICP, XLM, or HBAR at these prices I can tell you that.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto crash (LUNA/UST) on: June 03, 2022, 03:25:05 PM
The possibility of crypto (LUNA/UST) losing even more shares in the market?
Please tell me you aren't throwing your money at this garbage when you could be buying bluechips like IOTA, XLM, 0xMR and ICP at record low prices. Please don't do this.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron (TRX) Discussion on: June 03, 2022, 03:23:58 PM
Yesterday, Justin Sun tweeted "TRON 4.0 is coming? He wants to compare with ETH 2.0
What do you think?
Are you serious or is this a joke? TRON 4? I thought he left TRON and became an ambassador for Grenada. Is he still around? The main issue I have with TRON is that they never completed their bridge to other chains like Polygon and BNB chain did, and that's why it hasn't gained more adoption. I'm not bullish on it at all, especially since projects like Flare and ICP are integrating Ethereum functionality, which puts them over and above the capabilities of other L1 chains.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC & ETH Trends for the week on: June 03, 2022, 03:21:34 PM
This week for Bitcoin

With a strong bullish engulfing candle on the 4H chart, Bitcoin has effectively broken out of the symmetrical triangle. It has also moved over the MA 100, indicating that it will continue to rise.
In my opinion, a retest of the 30K zone is needed to close the gap before going on to the 34K zone, where the MA100 is now located on the 1D chart.
It's too soon to foresee the result of this current week, yet in view of the ongoing move, this will be the principal green week, since we have continually tried the lows to get greater liquidity on the lookout, so a bullish move is logical.
In addition, the MFI (Money Flow Indicator) on the LTF (Lower Time Frames) has turned positive, indicating that money is coming back into the market.

This week for ETH

Ethereum then again is as yet battling to close over the balanced triangle, dissimilar to Bitcoin which has previously broken.
On the 4H chart, we can observe a clear breaking point, as well as a climb above the MA 100, which was previously used as support by the bulls.
The next major hurdle that the ETH bulls must overcome is around 2230$. Trade ETH with mexc.com
We see a clear bullish volume increase in the last few days, the MFI has also turned bullish, suggesting that money is entering back in the market. If the bulls defend the 1900 zone, we could see a push towards the 2230$, on the 1D chart the MA100 is currently sitting at 2719$.
Good luck with that. I think TA has proven to be a meme. You can't plan market pump and dumps by whales and insiders or world events before they happen. Only insiders and exchanges make money trading in unregulated markets. You might as well play the slots with your money (actually, some people are doing that right now with their ETH and 0xMR on betcrypt365 and lnocasino because it's the fastest way to recoup your losses). Anyway, my strategy has been to buy POS projects like NEAR, Celo, and ICP and stake them. When the market rebounds I will have 10-20% more coins to sell at the top. For me, this is better than trying to time the market , especially because you never know when the next bull market will start and you don't want to be left behind holding inflationary dollars.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for June on: June 03, 2022, 03:18:08 PM
ETH will stay above 1600 and ICP will hover around 10usd before returning to 20usd in July. I think the market reverses at the end of June. We have been in a bear market for over 200 days and it's time for a rebound. This is buy territory.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Question about Elrond EGLD vs Solana SOL on: June 03, 2022, 03:16:22 PM
I did some research on it, by the stats Elrond should be one of the top competitors, but $ wise it been on decline for ages now.
What do i miss? Why is Elrond rather unpopular?
Did the $ go to Solana?
 Huh
I don't think Elrond markets very much. Don't get me started on Solana. That was a major VC pump and dump. Funny how both the Sun and the Moon crashed and burned. I think it all comes down to this. What partnerships does Elrond have and what problems is it solving? Can it compete with Fantom, HBAR, and ICP on a technical level or is it technically obsolete and doomed to fail, like litecoin and ADA?
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: June 03, 2022, 03:12:47 PM
Polygon was hit very hard, I invested when the price was over $2.5 at the beginning of the year but now it's only about $0.69 or a drop of more than 75%, of course this is sad and makes me prefer to hold because if I sell now of course I will lose.

I think MATIC is really a good long-term investment, it might reach $20 but since we are on the verge of the bear market it would take time. One of the best to hold is MATIC which I also hold it and do locked staking which I get profited.  Much better to do DCA when investing to avoid getting lost and this should lessen your loss in the future.

This is great advice right here. DCA into blue chip projects like MATIC and ICP and consider this bear market a gift. When MATIC returns to 3 usd, you will have 4-5 x'd your investment easy. Turn a 20k investment into a new house Smiley
