SP will you be incorporating the new vanilla blake algo into ccminer? If so, when?

Hey so for people that don't know, I've started to move the WARP chain so all wallets do sync now.
I've made a staking test too, which resulted in 601.30386127 WARP being generated.
I'm willing to destroy these coins or donate them. Would like to hear people's opinions about this.
I say destroy them so the initial plan works!

@shapetwist - you may want to checkout - cryptopia - I agree that Bittrex and Poloniex are the best exchanges out there but I have some experience using Cryptopia and they are easy and responsive. Might be worth a check out. Also, is there any way to let us know if we are near the BTC goal? What is the amount of BTC needed for this project to come to fruition? That number will be helpful for those of us on the edge?
Thanks - pokeytex
I'll look into it. Let me put it like this, with 2 days left and 9.8 btc raised so far, I strongly believe the crowdfunding will be a success! Looks like they have (2) ways - you can buy your way in for about .9 BTC or you can do a community vote. Take a look. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home/VotingThanks - pokeytex

Thanks for the clarification. I hope you can buy a nice sum of WARP so that you can continue development when the price starts to rise. It needs to get on exchanges first though.
No problem! About that, I'm writing a proper document to send to various exchanges. They value innovation and contribution to technology, and I will be presenting my view about WARP and how it contributes to the crypto scene, specifically the importance of usability and the integration of apps in-client. I will publish it too once it's sent. I strongly disagree on paying fees to get listed, by the way. For everybody that invested, tomorrow is an important day. It can be the difference between just barely making it or having room to more exciting developments/services/features. If you have time, join our slack - which is getting pretty active - and check on Twitter, Reddit, etc. @shapetwist - you may want to checkout - cryptopia - I agree that Bittrex and Poloniex are the best exchanges out there but I have some experience using Cryptopia and they are easy and responsive. What do you guys think about having a backup button to our server. Where you just click it once, and everyday it will send a backup to our server automatically, and will keep multiple copies of your wallet. Its actually safer than a cloud server as we dont actually have your funds, and your wallet will be encrypted or it should be. Just an idea. If many will use it, we will add it as an option for those that want it to turn it on. With this option we can make it add multiple wallet.dat files in your flycoin/roaming folder locally too or point it to an external device. Let me know if you want this. Vegas
@vegasguy - I would take it a step further and make it a service where say the wallet will back-up for a fee of 2 Flycoin (making up a number) - this way it creates demand - maybe even a lock in amount - say (10) Fly have to be held permanently in the wallet for the auto back-up feature to activate? Just tossing out ideas.

Yeah, sounds legit. Also I think the problem is if you get coins for free, often they are just dumped at the exchanges. If it costs you value from the begin, like the crowdsale here or think about IOTA crowdsale, the community cares more about it, because they have invested real money and not just some clicks.
Good luck!
Yeah, the thing is that I'm not "buying" any WARP from the sale. Like you say, it would be for free. I won't have any coins to dump. So it makes sense to me that I recover a bit of the money and time invested so far. It's not like charity or something! I hope this is clear and that you agree. How much of the crowdsale funds will you use to 'recover a bit of the money and time invested so far', and how much will be towards further development? I'm not sure, haven't made calculations yet on how much it was spent. Not looking to fully cover it either, but it would be fair to get some back or not? Maybe I can ask what you guys think? I don't mind you recovering some - however I would like to see some transparency when the time comes. Also, I would like to see a significant supply of Warp in your wallet.

Does anybody know correct options for chips->vanitygen?
It's not nice to answer to yourself, especially in public , let's say it's ok if I share it with you , let's make an howto from it Steps to do before you can continueAs dev was probably entering new year and did not reply , I had to look for it. How to do it , here is an little how to, say thanks Chipcoin starts with "C", which means value for given version must be one either 27, 28 or 29. For me it was logical that it is 28, however, every dev specifies it when creating a coin. I did not try 27 and 29. For those who have troubles in finding letters and numbers out, this table might be very helpful:) Examples for Windows (most tux users probably know how to use this tool ) you can copy and save it as batch (*.bat, *.cmd) and place them in the same folder as vanitigen- Get one single address, fastest way
- I want to define pattern, let's say I want to get CHiP (small "i", because I like O as well as l and some other can not be used)
- My pattern: CHiP
- I want to save results in: CHiP_keys.txt
- I used following address version values: 28,102-103
Usage: oclvanitygen.exe [-vqrikNTS] [-d <device>] [-f <filename>|-] [<pattern>...] Generates a bitcoin receiving address matching <pattern>, and outputs the address and associated private key. The private key may be stored in a safe location or imported into a bitcoin client to spend any balance received on the address. By default, <pattern> is interpreted as an exact prefix. By default, if no device is specified, and the system has exactly one OpenCL device, it will be selected automatically, otherwise if the system has multiple OpenCL devices and no device is specified, an error will be reported. To use multiple devices simultaneously, specify the -D option for each device.
Options: -v Verbose output -q Quiet output -i Case-insensitive prefix search -k Keep pattern and continue search after finding a match -N Generate namecoin address -T Generate bitcoin testnet address -X <version> Generate address with the given version -e Encrypt private keys, prompt for password -E <password> Encrypt private keys with <password> (UNSAFE) -p <platform> Select OpenCL platform -d <device> Select OpenCL device -D <devstr> Use OpenCL device, identified by device string Form: <platform>:<devicenumber>[,<options>] Example: 0:0,grid=1024x1024 -S Safe mode, disable OpenCL loop unrolling optimizations -w <worksize> Set work items per thread in a work unit -t <threads> Set target thread count per multiprocessor -g <x>x<y> Set grid size -b <invsize> Set modular inverse ops per thread -V Enable kernel/OpenCL/hardware verification (SLOW) -f <file> File containing list of patterns, one per line (Use "-" as the file name for stdin) -o <file> Write pattern matches to <file> -s <file> Seed random number generator from <file> oclvanitygen.exe -D 0:1 -X 28,102-103 -o CHiP_keys.txt CHiP oclvanitygen.exe -D 0:1 -k -X 28,102-103 -o CHiP_keys.txt CHiP oclvanitygen.exe -D 0:1 -k -X 28,102-103 -f YourPatterns.txt -o YourPatterns_keys.txt @echo off REM C 27-29 REM H 39-42 REM i 101-104 REM P 54-57 REM C 27-29 REM o 114-115 REM i 120-103 REM n 112-113

I really hope you purchase coins though from the exchange otherwise what would be the purpose to continue development of this coin? Hell yeah! I risk to say I believe more in this project than anyone else! So yes, I'm really excited to get my share off the market! That is music to my ears!

I don't see any exchanger on the first post, is there any exchanger that we can trade warp? Not yet - coin goes live this Thursday - then coins are distributed - then we wait for exchanges to add!

@infernoman @geewhiz @wigitgetit - ty all for the information on the connection issues - what worked - updating the addnodes to the current list on the block explorer for the 1.2.2.2 wallet, deleting peers.on each masternode, waiting 10-20 minutes. All is good now!
|
|
|
I wonder how high it will go..
No one knows - I just want the coins in my wallet and active development! :-) Then we can talk about how high!
|
|
|
That's great news! I have a feeling there will be a lot of activity in the 11th hour! :-)

I can tell you I am running (3) MN's from one IP and I also had a problem with the amount of connections. However, I let it run overnight after adding all of the addnodes and it seems to have worked itself out. Now the (3) mn's are showing 43, 13, & 11 connections which I think is plenty to operate?
Problem solved. thanks people for advice. Qt2 connected to 11 nodes incl. my first QT on the same server. I added my first QT as node for my second QT. (Thanks infernoman). Can you tell me the solution for the connection problem? I added a 4th MN and now I can't get more than (1) connection on (2) mn's.... Are you trying to run all 4 Masternodes in the same wallet. No I have (4) Mn's running separate. I cannot get the one controller wallet to (4) mn's working at all. I am guessing you have been through this? https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1HuIpcifBthyvp88wRquq9txQMAoDHkemv8Ozt4euw1g/edit#slide=id.p If so, and your still having issues, please layout the setup so people have more of an idea of how to help. basically the more details the better. You don't have to give up your IP's or anything like that. Yes - I followed that completely. I delete the wallet.dat and setup all of the transfer.conf correctly. I set up the masternode.conf as illustrated and create the .bat file as described. However, when I turn the .bat file on it opens up (4) more wallets with nothing in them. Then I go into the controller wallet and type masternode start (gives me an error saying to add masternode=1) the instructions explicitly say not to add masternode=1 into the transfer.conf file of the controller wallet. Then i tried masternode start on the (4) empty wallets and I get an error stating that there isn't a transaction that can be a masternode (something like that? going on memory). I am still having problems with the connection issues as well. You advised me to addnode=externalip:port but that didn't work. I still have the following connections on (4) wallets. 28, 1, 1, 7 - very weird. What is the most up to date addnode list? Theres the issue, try using "masternode start-many" or "masternode start-alias" Ah - Do I do this from within the .bat file or the controller wallet? Do this inside the console of the controller wallet. Ok - when I did this last night it shot back an error that I needed masternode=1 when the instructions say not to use it. Any advice? Last night you were also using "masternode start" correct? start-many and start-alias both have different use cases than start. try typing "masternode start-many" instead of "masternode start" Correct - Ok I will try that tonight when I get home. One more question - Once a masternode is started - if I close the wallet - is the masternode still running? If so, how do I shut a masternode off?

Bought 25 shares of the BitNodes WARP node: https://bitnodes.net/services/crowdfunding/warp-node/So there's only 20 shares left. Nodes are important to support the network, plus Bitnodes offers a Block Explorer for a year, and we need a third-party explorer on top of our own. Also, remember when we launch, it's important to let your coins mature and stake! Ok - I covered the last 20 shares - let's get this thing off the ground! :-)

Any advice?
