621  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to buy 2 BTC through escrow on: May 30, 2014, 12:39:24 AM
I assumed escrow which my friend recommended if I'm trading online handled payments, such as WU, paypal, but someone explained above that it only holds the btc. If Escrow holds the BTC, I send a payment to the seller, what stops the seller from claiming he never received payment thus the btc is never released to me?

Make sure you have the necessary documentation from your payment that you can send to your escrow. If you choose a trusted escrow and tradee it will be less likely that you encounter this issue. In the case of a disagreement, the escrow will act as a arbiter and resolve the problem - usually based upon who can provide proof.
622  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] TheGambler on: May 30, 2014, 12:34:08 AM
I stated that it was gambling and there was always a risk.

IIRC, when you opened the thread you originally stated that returns were 'guaranteed'. Considering that when the thread was closed you changed your post, we have no actual way to verify that you are telling the truth. If you did in fact state that, you might want to PM theymos and have him post the original post so we can clarify. Otherwise, there is nothing to back up your claim.
623  Economy / Lending / Re: Need .1 btc loan on: May 30, 2014, 12:27:22 AM
@OP: Do you have any altcoin collateral that could be used? If so, I would be able to offer you this loan at a lower interest rate.
624  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: May 30, 2014, 12:20:25 AM
It's feedback with zero BTC risked, meaning it doesn't make your trust green. Just look at mine

Not sure if it works like that. I have feedback with zero BTC risked and as far as I can see I'm in the green. I'm not sure if repeated feedback will lead to you getting an overall positive green feedback.
625  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.75BTC invest. You'll earn another 0.15BTC/week. Less will bring you 10%/week on: May 29, 2014, 12:36:59 PM
Also got the coins, right now.

Thank you guys. Smiley
So far so good. That's the way, a business has to run, I think Smiley

No problemo. Nice dealing with you. Hope everything goes well Smiley

But how will we handle to count the days?

My suggestion would be, to end this (first day 2014-05-26) on  00:00 o'clock, german time and following so on?
The current repayment, will be on morning on the following day, also german time.

Would be best to handle for me, am also open for different ideas. Smiley

Just take it from now. Since it's 29/05/2014 (near the end of the day for me), I'll just take it from 30/05/14 (which should save you a day's interest). We'll just count off the days from there (i.e 31/05/14 would mean 1 days interest etc).

A small program sniffing for your private keys or passwords whenever you run xyz-program doesn't take much imagination after the revelations of snowden.

At some level your going to have to trust someone. If you don't trust Windows, run a Linux installation. The big ones generally have been looked at enough to avoid it. If you're afraid of hardware level spying there really isn't much you can do short of building everything single piece of equipment (and I don't mean buying the parts - I mean literally building your CPU/GPU/Mobo etc). As you can see it's rather difficult to do that so if you want to use a computer you're going to have to at least trust that the hardware manufacturers aren't grouping up with the NSA to spy on you. Or just don't use a computer.
630  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Warning] Truecrypt has been discontinued, declared not safe on: May 29, 2014, 10:59:55 AM
But so is windows itself! you can use whatever encryption program you want, with backdoors in Windows it will never be secure anyway.

Windows is an operating system - it is not actually your files. When a file is encrypted (assuming no backdoors/no holes - ie. theoretical perfect encryption) then it is impossible for anyone to decrypt that data without the associated password. So anyone could have access to your OS (they could even remove the HDD and boot examine it externally which is what most actually do) but they would never be able to retrieve your secure data. OS security != Data security.

You must have collateral. Preferably well known altcoins including (but not limited to): LTC & DOGE.
Non-collateralised loans will only be considered by those with extremely high trust and in extraordinary circumstances (ie. no newbies).

Currently Available For Loan: BTC1

I. Terms of the Loan
The maximum value of any single loan will be BTC0.5. Loans must be repaid within 3 weeks (21 days) from the time when the loan is sent.
If loans are not paid back by that period - I, the lender, am entitled to claim the necessary collateral to make good (ie. fully repay & interest) on the loan. All else will be returned to the borrower.

II. Collateral
Collateral will be accepted on a case-by-case basis but generally most altcoins will be accepted. The minimum collateral is 110% of the value of the loan.
Collateral value will be judged according to the lowest price in the past week from any major altcoin exchange (ie. Poloniex).

III. Fees
Fees and loan duration are negotiable.

IV. Escrow
Escrow is the optional (but highly preferred). All escrow fees will be undertaken by the borrower and the escrow will be agreed upon by both parties.

Thanks.

You know what? Let's do it simple as possible. Smiley
Loan Amount: BTC0.4
Interest: BTC0.012/day
Max Loan Period: 21 days

Sure no problems.

@ Blazedout419

This will be the BTC adresse I'll receive your coins: Smiley

I'm assuming you meant me from what I've read? Once monbux confirms he's received the collateral I can release the coins to you.
634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CoinUrl on: May 29, 2014, 02:29:57 AM
It's not worth your time. You'd need something like at least 1K clicks in order to even earn around $5 USD so you'd need a crap load of people who all want in. Not to mention, it'd likely be flagged and you'd be caught and all funds from the accounts forfeited.
635  Economy / Lending / Re: Who wants to invest 0.75 BTC to earn another 0.15 BTC within' a week? on: May 29, 2014, 02:14:16 AM
Watching.  BitZCoin, do you agree with 0.011 BTC/day interest?  Maximum length 3 weeks.
If you agree, please send 2000 NRS to: 9eULSix1HYua8zVoo3cESVzbXnuDDxnxTA

Light, I will send you a message and post here for public records once BitZCoin sends.

No problems. Will wait for your message. Just for public record:

Loan Amount: BTC0.4
Interest: BTC0.011/day
Max Loan Period: 21 days

636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: But we can't neglect the benefits of the banks right? on: May 29, 2014, 02:02:14 AM
but Bank's loans, mortgage, stock advices, watching our back for us when we lose our debit card or when theres a fraud ... these are some good services from the bank we cannot neglect. right?

Loans and mortgages can be supported under the use of Bitcoins simply by signing an agreement such that an individual's assets can be used as collateral. No problems with 'banks' loaning people.

The big thing I have is theft and fraud. Right now if you lose your wallet you lose everything and there is no recourse. No one offers any kind of insurance should it be lost or stolen. There isn't even a means to verify if coins have truly been stolen.
637  Economy / Lending / Re: Who wants to invest 0.75 BTC to earn another 0.15 BTC within' a week? on: May 29, 2014, 01:44:40 AM
Edit:
But also let's say 0.01BTC/day calculated with 0.4BTC and the ability to pay back each day, within the week.
It's still a good deal Smiley

Given that you're already offering the equivalent of BTC0.01142857142 in interest for BTC0.4 (scaled from your offer) and I drive a hard bargain, I'll take BTC0.011 in interest per day just to make the numbers a little nicer.

You can pay back at any time - the interest will be applied for the duration of the loan (regardless of the changing loan size). The only stipulation I have is that the loan term may not exceed 3 weeks which should be fine for you.

Let me know if there are any problems. If not feel free to send monbux the collateral and once I get the message I'll send you the coins (please post an address).
638  Economy / Lending / Re: Who wants to invest 0.75 BTC to earn another 0.15 BTC within' a week? on: May 28, 2014, 11:31:42 PM
I've done a previous loan with BitZCoin - he paid back as promised, with no problems.  I don't currently have the BTC to fund this loan, but I would be happy to hold the coins as escrow, my fee is 1% of the collateral's worth.

NRS does seem to be a bit unstable though, it rises and drops a bit too quick for my liking :O

@OP: I'd be happy to lend you BTC0.4 if you wish for collateral of 2000 NRS. Interest @ BTC0.0125 per day. At the moment I don't have the capabilities to accept NRS so I would be happy to use monbux as escrow provided you take on the fee.

I'd appreciate if you posted your response here - nothing wrong with keeping things public.
639  Economy / Lending / Re: Needing 0.10 Loan [Darkcoin collateral] on: May 28, 2014, 11:21:57 PM
Length, interest, amount of DRK?

This, we need to know before we can offer you a loan. Some people have weird perceptions about the worth of their alt - they seem to think it's 100x the actual market value on exchanges.
640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you know if bitcoin has an intrinsic value and where it comes from? on: May 28, 2014, 11:49:56 AM
Ain't got no intrinsic value. Unless you're measuring it in terms of how much utility - but how would you measure the utility of anonymity and decentralized currency/transactions? Realistically, the value of Bitcoin simply comes from the perception of buyers and from there your standard supply and demand.
