So is this like "BTC laundering", in the crytocurrency world

In the fait currency world, it is called "money laundering"

In effect yes you could call it money laundering, although there is one sole legitimate reason for use and that is to remain anonymous (however their reason for being anonymous may be something related to illicit activity).
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WE are smarter than the tabloid media on: March 07, 2014, 10:45:40 AM
Don't delude yourself by assuming that the whole community is smarter than the tabloids. The reality is that there are still morons and idiots here just as in anywhere else in the world.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bet that this it NOT Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 07, 2014, 08:32:30 AM
yeah i meant if he said that from that old account
with pgp would be better of course, becasue I imagine the admin of the site could write from this acc as well

With an old account there is always a possibility that someone hacked the account (although unlikely). However it would be next to impossible to steal a private key from Satoshi meaning that is the optimal means of proof.
1284  Economy / Lending / Re: [Help] What if I don't have any collateral? on: March 07, 2014, 08:16:48 AM
Unless you have an immaculate history of trades and trust your unlikely to get a loan without a collateral. There have simply been far too many scams to make it worthwhile for most lenders to take the risk.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bet that this it NOT Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 07, 2014, 08:10:43 AM
Even if he claimed it, there is no proof yet to show it is true. I could just as easily claim to be Jesus but without proof it's just a speculative claim. Aside from an old account verifying it or a signed message fro one of his keys it is unconfirmable.
1286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can IRS go after Sotoshi for unfiled income tax on: March 07, 2014, 07:57:50 AM
At the current time short of a message from one of his accounts or a signed message from one of his keys there is no way to know for sure if he is Satoshi. Even if he was it would be hard for the government to force him to pay taxes on Bitcoin considering they cannot definitively prove he owns x amount of coins .
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bet that this it NOT Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 07, 2014, 07:51:51 AM
It doesn't necessarily prove or disprove anything. Pretend if he was for a moment the real Satoshi, anyone in their right mind would distance themselves from being Satoshi as the media will constantly on your tail if not people with more malicious motives. The best way to distance is to deny, both Dorian himself and using the P2P account to deny.

On the other hand, if he wasn't Satoshi the real Satoshi would also deny Dorian being the guy as a) his privacy will be destroyed b) people believing Dorian to be Satoshi would still come after him.

In both cases the most logical move is to deny so there is no proof or otherwise to the claim.
1288  Economy / Gambling / Re: The gamblers fallacy on: March 06, 2014, 12:35:59 PM
The gamblers fallacy is that you can find a 'system' to win at gambling.

Well at dice betting at least. Sports betting may and can be profitable as it is truly impossible for anyone to actually quantify the probability of a sports event exactly (or even extremely close) and hence these variations in lines can create opportunities for bettors.
1289  Economy / Gambling / Re: The gamblers fallacy on: March 06, 2014, 12:01:29 PM
In layman's terms with the use of math, basically the past has no bearing or influence on your future results (for completely unrelated events ie dice rolls). So don't believe that just because something is so unlikely that it cannot happen when you lose 28 times in a row and try for a 29th.

That's really the reason I stopped dice betting, the more you play the more you accentuate the house edge against you, whereas in something like sports betting/poker you have greater control over your results and hence there is a correlation between your skill and your earnings. In effect you can improve your probability of winning in those, whereas in dice you cannot.
1290  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Leancy Ltd - Bitcoin Investment - 150% Return & 5% Daily Interest (FREE $5 BTC) on: March 06, 2014, 10:41:13 AM
Try http://leancy.com as I'm pretty damn sure that it's online seeing that I can access it on all of my devices currently.
1291  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Leancy Ltd - Bitcoin Investment - 150% Return & 5% Daily Interest (FREE $5 BTC) on: March 06, 2014, 09:53:47 AM
Is the website still having problems? because I only get it is unavailible

The website is up from my end, which is rather surprising as I thought they would cut and run. So far so good, accounts look to be in order.
1292  Economy / Lending / Re: [Filled] Seeking 1BTC Loan: 4 Week Repayment on: March 06, 2014, 06:30:53 AM
That was my mistake, I tight putting the minimum of 0.0001 would make it confirm within the hour. However because of the different inputs, the size is larger. I'll try to see of I can 'add' fees? I'm using block chain. Info

I'm pretty sure you can't add a fee once the transaction has been broadcast. The tx will either go through albeit rather slowly, or it won't be confirmed at all and the funds will remain in your control.
1293  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to help stop spamming. on: March 06, 2014, 06:29:06 AM
That is one big downside to the issue though... I will try to come up with more ways...

Personally, I don't think community moderation will ever truly work. There are far too many trolls on the internet (most of them young kids) which means that some of the good, informative posts may be pulled down. That would be bad for a site such as this one where half of the posts are pretty bad already to begin with.
1294  Other / Meta / Re: Should newbies be restricted again? on: March 06, 2014, 06:12:38 AM
Personally, I wish that they were stuck back at the newbie section. At least all the garbage posts were restricted to one area that I could avoid.
1295  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to help stop spamming. on: March 06, 2014, 06:10:52 AM
The abuse is going to come from any membership level regardless of what you set it at. There are people childish enough on this forum to abuse such a function to have a post of another person they despise enough being hidden. This is more so for the people who are rather stubborn on their views and radical (there are quite a few of these people around) which would see these peoples opinions be hidden. As much as I dislike some of the crap that these people post it isn't spam.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When does it become fraud? The ethics of bitcoin mining and zero-confirm TXs on: March 06, 2014, 05:59:55 AM
It a clearly fraud if the miner is aware that he is being complicit/aiding someone wishing to commit fraud themselves. It is really no different from an accomplice in a crime, both are guilty. On the other hand if the miner isn't aware ethically there isn't anything he could do. Although, it is rather hard to see a legitimate reason for such a service.
1297  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Atomic Trade:you should refund 2.39btc to me on: March 06, 2014, 05:55:54 AM
It looks to me as if it was never intended to be a legit trading site rather a scam all along. It seems extremely strange that support should drunk and wasted and still tell you. Personally I'm thinking this is a one man scam show.
1298  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Get 5% off when lending at bitfinex.com !!!! on: March 06, 2014, 05:05:38 AM
This thread really isn't about mtgox or flexcoin.  It is rather about getting a great deal for traders.

A "great" deal that will result in the loss of user funds? I'm sure that skins great to every same person here...   Roll Eyes
1299  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Instant Withdrawals - Widely Trusted on: March 05, 2014, 11:39:13 AM
How do you know that the limits have been lowered?
Are you limited now?

I'm pretty sure that Bitbook doesn't limit specific players, instead limiting the action on one side when some of the bets are really one sided. As to knowing that the limits are lower there isn't really a way to tell short of Bitbook telling you themselves.
1300  Economy / Gambling / Re: AnoniBet Sportsbook Live Betting on: March 05, 2014, 11:33:20 AM
where is my withdraw ? I sent the request over 24h for it.. WTF ?!

Contact their support, as the withdrawals are processed manually so they may have accidentally not processed your withdrawal.
