1061  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Types of Signature Deals Do YOU Want To See? on: April 11, 2014, 10:43:07 AM
I do not have high activity for any champaign yet. I think pay per post is fairer for the campaign owner, fixed rate for a given number of post is good for the forum, while a fixed rate based on activity alone is unfair for both parties.

While being paid on a per post basis may be good for some, it has the unfortunate tendency to promote spamming - hence the signature restrictions that were imposed on lower activity members to make signature advertising for those who spam (mainly lower level members) far less effective.
1062  Economy / Services / Re: 0.05 BTC to proofread my website on: April 10, 2014, 09:59:23 AM
I can do this for you if you. Just need to know how I'm meant to correct mistakes.

SHooooo Im already halfway there!!

Haha, no need to rush he isn't even online at the moment. I'd let him answer for who he wants before rushing into things.

EDIT: You seem keen as mustard to do this.

I still don't get it, with all the warnings in place from users how do people still fall for this kind of crap. It really surprises me how stupid humanity can be at times. Of course something offering rediculous returns with no proof for any actual means of making this returns is going to be a ponzi that will inevitably fail and scam.
1065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Toward $400. on: April 10, 2014, 09:41:54 AM
That's quality advice guys... if you want to lose money. People who are looking to long term gain shouldn't be so invested that they are worrying about day to day values - as long as it trends upwards in the long term and really that's where the money is.
1066  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think she is pretty? on: April 10, 2014, 09:38:41 AM
Sure, but she is way better (nsfw):

I can safely say I was not expecting that when I opened it...
In one swift moment from hero to zero.

Anyway, @OP IMO she's not too bad - I'm pretty cool with Asian girls.

1068  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: What is the best way to get dollars in hand from BTC on: April 10, 2014, 09:29:35 AM
I think your best bet is to use LocalBitcoins to sell your BTC for cash deposit to your Bank account

This - unlike a lot of other places, from what I've heard its a pretty safe place to trade. Just stick to known buyers or conduc your business in a face to face transaction in a public place.
1069  Other / Meta / Re: My account "ZIOMIK" hacked !!!!! on: April 10, 2014, 09:20:35 AM
A GPG/Bitcoin signed message is one of the few means of conclusively proving you are who you say you - nearly everything else can be faked. Out of curiosity which mod here knows you well enough to vouch for you?
1070  Other / Meta / Re: some thing wrong with bitcointalk member system? on: April 10, 2014, 09:17:54 AM
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the system. Posting is not the only factor. Please learn to read stickies.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
1071  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.05 loan on: April 09, 2014, 12:25:16 PM
whats wrong i ask for btc loand and as colletral i have itunes cards why is that wrong

Because that isn't actually collateral. It cannot be confirmed to be legit without actually redeeming the code - negating it's whole purpose as something refundable/returnable upon completion of the loan. So if people don't want to do that then they cannot verify the code's legitemacy and hence it could be a fake. As DiamondCardz has suggested - if you want BTC sell those codes rather than asking for a loan.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage: Laptop? on: April 09, 2014, 12:13:00 PM
Buy a pi and make a cheap cold storage with armory or generate a key offline and make paperwallets.

This would really be the most cost effective solution.

I understand ... but you can always sign a transaction offline and later from same offline device make an USB backups? Smiley
And it will be a cold storage? or not?

Technically speaking you could boot a liveCD version of your favourite Linus distro on the same computer and make sure you have you internet disconnected and sign it there, making sure that the files are on your USB at all times, but I'm not too sure whether it would exactly constitute cold storage. Buying a Pi is really the best way if you want to do it cheaply yet somewhat properly.

Gosh damn, wish I had luck remotely as good as that. I guess I'll just stick to known +EV investments - mathematical probability won't fail me there  Wink

I expect to be able to short a futures contract because I know the price is going to go down.

Why would I want to buy GHS a month or two ahead of time knowing that the spot price is trending downwards all the time?

On a side note, if they allowed shorting I'm pretty sure it would be done to such an extent that there is no longer a price drop lol. Everyone would be so furiously borrowing the GHs to sell and thus creating artificial demand that the price wouldn't shift downwards as greatly. Anyways, I agree that having futures contract without short-selling is rather deceptive of them - basically their expecting everyone to speculate and probably take a loss to line their pockets.
1075  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.05 loan on: April 09, 2014, 11:52:38 AM
BUMP still looking

What you're looking for is charity - none of this 'itunes collateral' loan BS. Now unless someone here is willing to throw around money for free you're not going to get anything.
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage: Laptop? on: April 09, 2014, 11:44:55 AM
So backups you can keep without your laptop Tongue

And IMO it would be safer to buy 10 usb memory sticks and backup wallets than put them on an laptop.

Yes, but without an actual permanent offline solution you can't really consider it to be cold storage anymore. The whole thing works on the premise of signing the transaction offline and then transferring the transaction to an online computer to broadcast. By doing so you avoid connecting to the internet with your wallet and hence significantly reduce the probability of your coins being stolen. Don't get me wrong - USBs are fine for storing an encrypted version of your wallet however it doesn't constitute cold storage.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is it possible to auto withdraw money from multibit to another wallet? on: April 09, 2014, 05:37:59 AM
Hello i want to make my multibit wallet auto send/or withdraw whichever wording you want, to my other wallet (bitcoin-core)

Is this possible? thank you.

You can either add the private key from Multibit to Qt via exporting then importing or you could send your BTC from you multibit wallet to a new address generated by Qt. Depends on what you want. However there is no 'auto-send' feature in either case so you'll have to do it via one of the above methods.
1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sent BTC without fees by mistake on: April 09, 2014, 05:23:33 AM
Depending on how high the priority your tx is you may or may not be able to get away with not paying a fee. For exceptional and specific cases (where your tx is of a certain size - not BTC value) and whether the miner of the block is willing to include your tx you can do it. However, in general it really is just worth paying the minimum fee (~0.04 USD) which is nothing to get your transaction confirmed quickly. Of course, if you tx has larger inputs you may require a larger fee.
1079  Economy / Speculation / Re: "I guarantee there will be another Bitcoin price bubble" on: April 09, 2014, 05:17:08 AM
It will not even require average people buying Bitcoin to give rise to another massive bubble. If only 1 percent of the U.S. population (3 million people) decide to invest an average of only 100 dollars each, the price will almost certainly rise to several thousand dollars.

The problem is convincing people that it's worth investing in, rather than simply another electronic currency which they don't care about. You'd need adoption from a major corporation before you'd see consumers interested in using it as a payment option - as right now it's all just price speculation from people who are 'investing' rather than trying to use it as a means of payment.
1080  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 0.04 Loan on: April 09, 2014, 04:03:55 AM
Oh come on, Who cares about the name  Shocked

What we really care about is your ability to repay. Without collateral there is no incentive for you to do so - and it's doubtful you will with your easily disposable account.
