2 billion that is.
Of course it is arguable on how many computers to add each year, and about how fast they are going to get.
But even if you let is grow in a few orders of size, the point of my explanation stays the same. It is just too hard to do.

Yeah, the sheer magnitude of the number of values that need to be checked means that a few orders of magnitude isn't going to change much/anything really in the grand scheme of things. I suppose the people who are bothering with this are hoping to get lucky, but I'm pretty sure their chances are lower than winning the lottery 10 times in a row just to give a little perspective.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't it impossible to steal bitcoins anonymously? on: March 05, 2014, 07:53:52 AM
Not entirely true primarily because you could split the coins up (if they were a large sum) and have them mixed with other coins over a large number of repetitions. This would essentially make it almost impossible to track as you cannot tell who is the recipient among the long list and that is only for a single mix. If you were to mix it many times over it would be nearly impossible to be certain that you got the right address and am not mixing it up.
1303  Economy / Lending / Re: 10-20 BTC LOAN(6month-12month) Repaid at 15% anually on: March 05, 2014, 06:29:13 AM
yeah Im just not sure what I can possibly use mate

If you need a $6K - 12K loan there probably isn't anyone who is going to do it without the proper collateral (which usually would be altcoins). Seeing as you don't seem to have any my advice would to simply get a personal loan from a bank - if you've got enough assets to afford a loan a bank should be a lot easier to get one from.
1304  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures on: March 05, 2014, 06:25:45 AM
$350K ?!?!? Do you know if its going to be SMF or something else?

I haven't been following it much, as generally forum software (esp for this one) takes quite a while so yeah. If I recall correctly I think it isn't SMF, but don't quote me on that one.
1305  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures on: March 05, 2014, 06:16:01 AM
They were enabled but they are now disabled. I don't think they will be enabled anytime soon because they are somewhat resource intensive and you can upload inappropriate images.

As far as I remember there was a hack that was involved with the use of avatars on this forum and ever since theymos has had the functionality turned off. Although, I'm pretty sure it'll come back with the new forum software if that ever comes...  Roll Eyes

There is going to be a new forum software?

Yeah, I'm surprised you don't know about this. It's in meta as well.

1306  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 05, 2014, 06:06:58 AM
Went to local coffee shop, all was working fine there.  Yet back at home connecting to seals is still unusable.  This just started a few days ago.  I don't know what's going on.  Can any devs at seals help?

Are you using the browser version or the desktop version or the mobile version? And if so which OS are you running it on?
1307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So how does the coversion rate work for tigerdirect on: March 05, 2014, 06:04:31 AM
I'm pretty sure Tiger is using Bitpay as its transaction manager, so the conversion rate will be based upon whatever it is said to be by Bitay. You should be able to find the exchange rates here: https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-exchange-rates

1309  Economy / Gambling / Re: Avoid Leancy - Deposits could be compromised on: March 05, 2014, 05:50:10 AM
This site always seemed sketchy to me. I mean I'd they give you a positive return on investment there has to be some how they make money. So is guess it's a ponzi or a risky investment of some kind they're making right?

There is no doubt that this was always a ponzi that simply masqueraded as a HYIP. It is in general what all HYIPs are despite what they claim. There is no way they can make 1700% simple interest per year, if anyone could do that consistently they would quickly become the richest person in the world.

I'd be rather interested to see if it does actually come back. These things have a tendency to not bother once they go down as usually its the good old cut and run technique. Will be following with some interest.
1312  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 BTC for 48 Hours with 15% with Guarenteed payback :) ESCROW WELCOME on: March 04, 2014, 07:43:47 AM
Man this guys "gramma" is so good almost as good as his spelling  Roll Eyes Sorry mate, your going to have to try harder if you want to scam someone as we ain't stupid enough to fall for your not-so-elaborate conjob.
1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: ►☆☆☆◄Wolves of Blockchain (Make more than a ponzi with no scam)5x or more ►☆☆☆◄ on: March 04, 2014, 07:32:06 AM
If you going to make a ponzi please at least call it a ponzi and not insult the small % of the population who have a working brain and can see through your lies with ease. To all those stupid enough to believe them, don't come crying when your money disappears.
1314  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin in Blockchain hacked. on: March 03, 2014, 08:10:59 AM
Your email was hacked and there was an unencrypted backup/weak password backup there.

This is probably the most likely occurrence, as it is near impossible for them to have gotten past your 2FA on your actual blockchain account. Having a strong password/2FA on your email is also a must if your using blockchain as your wallet.
1315  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 0.09 BTC for USD via CC or Paypal on: March 03, 2014, 06:37:08 AM
Sorry to burst your bubble, but your highly unlikely to get anyone willing to do this sheerly from the fact that there have been so many chargeback scams that dealing with only reputable members is worthwhile is your accepting PP/CC which you are not.

Do you have any Windows 8 retail keys?
1317  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: March 01, 2014, 03:14:55 AM
ouch this was a great signature program and I am just short of the requirements now. Wish you would at least lower it to 200. 240 is a killer

Can't be lowered for the fact that signature styling changes only occur with a promotion in membership level. For Sr Members that is 240 activity and hence bitmixer only wants people with 240+ activity in order to make use of the enabled styling options for those users.
1318  Economy / Services / Re: AROUSR.COM pays for your signature space - Earn 0.02BTC weekly!! on: March 01, 2014, 02:44:48 AM
Do u accept new entrants ?

At the moment, it is unclear whether the campaign is even continuing let alone whether there are going to be new entrants accepted.
1319  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS BTC-e code dollar for dollar. Looking for moneypak or trusted PP. on: March 01, 2014, 12:31:13 AM
No sorry

Worth a shot, thanks anyways. Probably going to have to start shifting over to F2F LB if I actually want to get any trades done now.
1320  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS BTC-e code dollar for dollar. Looking for moneypak or trusted PP. on: March 01, 2014, 12:14:47 AM
Would you be willing to do a small $50 PP transaction? I've only done a few past transactions, but I'm probably one of the oldest active members.
