621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies how do you feel when your post is criticised. on: January 16, 2024, 02:03:37 PM
Even in real world, criticisms are there and they're even more brutal when they do it face to face. Most of the members here are patience and respectful and don't take criticisms as if they're trying to put you down. When there's someone that's correcting us, let's be thankful to them. Not all the things we know and there is always someone who's better than us. Learning is a process and let's take it lightly seriously but don't think of the people correcting us as if they are mad at us for not knowing the other things they know, thank them instead so that you're going to learn more not just on this community but more in life because you can apply that to yourself in real life.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: January 16, 2024, 11:38:37 AM
The argument that some jobs are mentally draining is valid, but it's equally essential to recognize the indispensable role of those in "menial" jobs. Without workers in various roles like waiters, delivery workers, cab drivers, carpenters, and construction workers, society would face significant challenges. These individuals are the backbone of many essential services, and their contributions should be duly respected and compensated.
You said it correctly brother. They may be treated by some other citizens to be as low as what they think because they earn less than them. But remember during the pandemic on who are allowed to do such work and helped a lot of people that have stayed at home, these folks that worked very well and helped a lot of us especially the delivery workers and services. As I grow, I've learned to pay respect to whomever it should be due. Not going to be just about the amount that they earn but the actual people they are because everyone deserves to get respected. I think the influence of the social media also plays a part on these matters when this today's society has set a standard about thinking low and high based on how much you earn.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 15, 2024, 10:14:52 PM
99.99% of cloud mining are scams. If there's a legitimate one, you'll barely able to purchase hash power on them as most of the time they're rented and unavailable. If this indeed a true story, I hope that this guy, a friend of yours or not? will definitely learn the lesson that there's no such as rich quick scheme. Because when someone sees that opportunity, you'll have to take time and find out the red flags from it. If money is just growing on the trees, all of us are going to be rich if this is the case for all of these cloud mining. I don't mind if he's an anti-bitcoin, I've seen a lot of people just like him because of the bad experience that they've gone through and it is understandable. I wouldn't force him to like Bitcoin but I just wish that he learns the valuable lesson about investing and DYORing first.
624  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 15, 2024, 08:48:43 PM
It looks like the ANN title needs to be changed because the Giveaway for 100 BC members has finished

This promotion has now ended and all bonuses have been directly credited into user accounts.

We thank everyone for their participation and wish you all the best.
Yeah, it's done and congratulations to everyone who have been eligible for the bonus.  Smiley

I'll give my thought about what the 60x wager or any requirement for the withdrawal. I also gone through the same process and it's even higher than $30 and asked with my first campaign earning when I was about to withdraw. Did I deposited on what was asked? no. I used my campaign earning and wagered it until I've reached the threshold that was asked and it's a lot for me but I just persevered and patiently gone through the bets and that's why I like plinko because I did the wagers through that.  Cheesy
I used bcswap to save fees(btc) because during that time, IIRC, we're like $20-$30 on fees. In the end, I saved from fees because I converted btc into LTC and all in all, I think I lost just around $2-$3 and then saved from the high fees which from $90, it became $83 I think that I was able to successfully withdraw without any hassle after completing the wagering requirement. Most casinos does have this requirement if your account was just freshly made and you try to withdraw.
625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 15, 2024, 05:00:06 PM
It is crazy that scammers are going to make you feel regret that you don't trust them and you're the one that should trust them first instead of your trusting yourself. That's why it's true that you need to pay attention to these type of posts on social media and usually, these scammers are targeting the newbies because they don't know a lot of how to setup their wallets as if that it's the hardest thing to do at all. No it's not, but I hope that this thread gets to some newbies that probably might have seen that type of post.
Scammers will wickedly capitalize on their victims emotions by making them feel regret of not trusting them, by that the victims will not listen to the reasoning voice inside them that is doubting the scammers.
They are masters of it and that's why if you're not aware that they're the one that's making you dance on their hands, you're going to be their poor subject and victim.

I have learnt one thing repeatedly on this forum that most investments opportunities on social media are scams, also that we should carry out research about them to know if they are scammers because that is what most of them are. I see many of them on my telegram and due to my knowledge I always ignore them, I don't even click any link that I'm not sure of the source because they can lead to phishing sites, unfortunately social media has become a business place for scammers, everybody must beware.
Don't believe everything that you see on the social media especially with people that are showy with their money and investments. It's very easy to understand the logic on it, are the real rich people do flaunt with their investments, assets and especially money on their socmed accounts? No, they don't. Just ignore when somebody approaches you randomly and want to talk abou some certain investments and invites to some links or groups, you're doing it right of ignoring them.
626  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2024, 02:46:10 PM
We can see the price crashing since its release.

I would think that it will take a while for the ETF's to have any impact because they were just released.
That's what we can think of right now, there is no immediate price bump when the time that the ETFs have been approved and published on the news.

So the impact will be later when it has been running for a long time.
It's going to be with the halving so, there's no need for us to rush. What we need to do right now is to do nothing but apply the patience all of the time to the market. You'll never know if this crash will continue or it's going to stop around $41k-$42k.
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't only pray for mass adoption, start HODLING!! on: January 15, 2024, 12:43:59 PM
....
Yes, that's what the end goal is for most of the long term holders. It is no longer a secret that in the long run, we're going to see higher price of Bitcoin and that's why it is the thought that many likes to see happen even before. The mass adoption will drive the prices up as the demand is going to keep up with it as well. Whether some people like it or not, mass adoption is one the key contributors for Bitcoin's massive growth.

most long-term holders certainly have expectations that mass-adoption of bitcoin will occur in the future, but the strict regulation of bitcoin by the government and with the launch of the bitcoin etf which is an alternative investment in bitcoin, it seems that mass adoption of bitcoin will take more time to come true.
I think that it is to anticipate that if there are some forms of negative actions from the governments, there are also the positive ones like this Bitcoin spot ETF. As for the mass adoption, it is happening but we just have to calm down and don't rush on the actual effect of it. It is going to be gradually be seen within the next months or even a year but by that time, it's with the effect of halving too.

especially the issue of fees and networks which are often congested, these things hinder the mass adoption of bitcoin in the future and make long-term holders need to be patient to get the profits they want.
Well, that's one problem but we've got that problem even before but it is going to be good sometime in the nearest future. What we can be happy is that we've survived the times that when there have been a lot of FUDs that were in the media, the highest transaction fees and right now, we're starting to see some drop from it.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't only pray for mass adoption, start HODLING!! on: January 15, 2024, 10:26:29 AM
That title makes no sense, only those who hold for long term wants and pray for mass adoption, many people on this forum don't care about Bitcoin, some are so into altcoin because they believe that they won't be able to make profit from holding Bitcoin anymore.
Still, many are into Bitcoin and this is a Bitcoin forum although it is true that there are a lot of investors and holders that are into altcoins. But they know for a fact that if Bitcoin moves properly, their alts are also going to follow so it's a domino effect.

Only long term holders the want mass adoption, if you plan to retire holding Bitcoin won't you want mass adoption to increase greatly? By the time your retirement starts you will wish to look at your crypto portfolio and laugh like a king, isn't that the dream?
Yes, that's what the end goal is for most of the long term holders. It is no longer a secret that in the long run, we're going to see higher price of Bitcoin and that's why it is the thought that many likes to see happen even before. 629  Economy / Exchanges / Re: onyxchange.com is legit? on: January 14, 2024, 11:48:34 PM
Are you promoting this exchange indirectly or did anyone actually point you to this exchange?
It's more that he's not going to reply back and that proves that he probably owns this little exchange and he's shilling it easily.

This is the most likely scenario.
There are no single reviews on their Trustpilot page https://www.trustpilot.com/review/onyxchange.com (maybe after this he will buy a few 5 star reviews)
They wear the Bestchange partner logo on their home page although they are not official partners with Bestchange. They may be in the process of approving the listing on this platform but judging by the web archive from 29 April 2021, it has been going on for quite a long time.
So, it is not going to be surprising if Bestchange will have them on their listings as well. Most of us here aren't going to be tired with these all of a sudden encounters of these websites that they're going to mention having one post for their newbie accounts and then says that they've just been amused to see it. I guess this is going to be a form of entertainment for some readers but I wish that many wouldn't be gullible based on the descriptions and stories that they've made.

There should be a name for this where the scammers try to convince the individual do do what they want as fast as possible so that before they'll realize and come to their senses of what is happening, the scam will already have taken place and the victims funds lost. There should be a name for this first few moments.
Let's wait on how is going to label this or there's already one for this, we've got the pig butchering scam already and I think that it can be associated with this since it's building you trust and not the conventional type of relationship as love scam so, it may be classified as that. Because you've just met that guy and that promises some gains or anything in assurance that you're going to make money if you believe and trust him with some instructions given on what you must do next.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 14, 2024, 08:15:29 PM
This knowledge gives you smart money making decisions, and it improves your standards of living
I agree, when someone gets that financial education at a younger age, as they grow, they'll practice how to save and how to invest and mostly, on how to take care on the hard-earned money.

It gives you priceless money management skill, you can't spend more than what you earn as a financial literate.
And not just that, you're going to explore more things with calculated risk because you know your financial capacity and you're not going to move forward without any back ups and assurances.

I still don't know why it's not been taught in schools up till now.
It is but it's not a main thing for the teachers or universities. The modern school systems have a different focus and you know what? it is teaching people to become employees. While the rich ones that are able to get out of the rat race, they learn financial education on their own methods.

The  rich dad poor dad by Robert kiyosaki explain all what it entails and the stability it gives financially.
While I like that guy, he's just one of the many that teaches that.

633  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 13, 2024, 10:31:18 PM
Those salaries or numbers are quite too high IMHO. I've been waiting out for those websites for so long and yes, they're possible to be met per day. But usually, the kind of projects or clients that you may have are not going to pay that much and that's why it depends on your skills. It's normal to see low balling clients but you choose your good clients. And the normal bids are like per hour of pay and it ranges from the minimum to the higher amount, so if you don't have that much skills as a va, you need to upscale and upskill. Reviewing songs and watching ads, I don't think that they're that much but if you have a lot of time, they're good as additional but not with those amounts per day.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as P2P currency vs Bitcoin as an asset on: January 13, 2024, 01:21:50 PM
While the Bitcoin spot ETF approvals are still on the news and it lingers. Take it from Larry Fink on what's his take on this topic.
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink says Bitcoin "Is An Asset Class That Protects You"
The usage of it as a P2P currency or choice of payment is never gone. But as time goes by, the use case of it is becoming more an asset or a store of value. IMHO, there's no need to debate on it. Choose Bitcoin what you prefer it to be, as an asset, as a P2P currency. What matters is that you hold it on your own hands and not with the exchanges just as many are still doing nowadays.
635  Economy / Exchanges / Re: onyxchange.com is legit? on: January 13, 2024, 11:17:25 AM
Are you promoting this exchange indirectly or did anyone actually point you to this exchange?
It's more that he's not going to reply back and that proves that he probably owns this little exchange and he's shilling it easily. People that does this probably don't think that people here can't figure it out that they're part of the actual company. As I've checked and tried to put some conversion. This how it goes;

Code:
USD -  Max: $141.53
PMUSD -  Max: $236.39
USD - Max: $77.64

This means that any conversion is only at the maximum of those numbers and this isn't ideal for the big trades. Even with small amounts, I bet that no one's going to try to exchange here unless paid to do so.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 13, 2024, 09:10:04 AM
That's true that nobody gives an f on what you're doing but as long as you're bringing food to your family's table, that's all that matters and we all survive all day long. Having financial accountability and being a responsible person with finances, this is not just going to be your goal and end game. Soon, you're going to think of your family and the generation that's going to enjoy your wealth. Some may think that it's a boring life that you're working hard with finances and being accountable to what you do just for your heirs to enjoy it. Well, we've got different views on this one but that's how the other and former rich folks did.
637  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 🚨🚨ZKFAIR DISCORD HACKED - BE SAFE on: January 13, 2024, 07:41:23 AM
Yes this is question arise in every expert mind. When they are giving so many marketing fund to early supporters as a airdrop then why not use some fund to strengthen the security to make ecosystem more secure.
IMHO, it is their uncertainty that their project is going to be successful so instead of focusing and investing that to their security, they're just putting that into fund as marketing for which that's how going to attract more investors. It's like a hit or miss on them and that's why usually we see most projects do that, the same thinking and strategy I guess.

This is worst hack,as their discord hack at a time when people could be deceived very easily because airdrop token claiming ended just some hours ago and hackers start pinning new link for new airdrop (fake). No one even think that it could be scam attempt.
I think I've seen the same airdrop as this when the actual airdrop was done and then several hours later, there goes the hype for that airdrop and project and then many still think that it's possible to claim it because of some links given. I can't recall the name of a project but a friend of mine who's new to it dug on it and I've said that the airdrop was totally done and there was no anymore round 2s.
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IMPORTANT! Always check your Seed twice. on: January 12, 2024, 10:55:31 PM
I agree with PG, I've done that with my wallets especially with the hardware wallet that I own. I have tested it if it will actually recover with that the same one that I've written down, it's just so important to check it out since you'll be dependent on it as per recovery or when you try to sweep that wallet. Now, those that have missed it could check it on your own and check your seed phrases if they're going to work but much better to check everything else and details so you won't accidentally erase everything entirely.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold than trade. Just don't use leverage, futures. on: January 12, 2024, 05:45:27 PM
Those that don't want to mess up wouldn't trade in futures or leverage, that's a known thing today that if you want to stay calm on this market then it's best to stay holding. Rather than going hand in hand with the market through spot or futures, at least with the spot you've got lesser risk and it won't be as quick as the futures when you're losing. But if you're done with all of these craziness and spontaneity of the market, you don't have to stress yourself and just accumulate, it won't guarantee anything but it's a chiller approach to make profit here.
640  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Funds vanished from Coinomi wallet on: January 12, 2024, 03:58:56 PM
I have used it before but I don't store my funds there and after that, I have never used it again. There have been too many issues with coinomi and just heard them again lately and it's not really a recommended wallet to use. So while your funds are likely to be there still, follow the instructions of importing it from coinomi to another wallet where your funds will be visible again and use that to transfer it to another wallet and never use it anymore.
