UNO needs to get to a place of better liquidity.  In its current use, it is a low inflation store of value that in crypto-terms has been incredibly stable around the $2/Uno mark for years.

As a Sha256 merged mined blockchain, UNO holds possibilities for uses demanding an open ledger with strong sidechain potential.

I'm glad we do have merchants accepting UNO. I would like to see it easier for those who accept valuable UNO for valuable products and services to be able to easily convert that value to another form, if that is what they want to do. That would help build confidence in UNO for new merchants and traders. We are presently in a moment of low liquidity, which will imo will pass.

While 1000's of other cryptocurrencies have already bloomed and died under scam accusations, it's nearly 3 years now and UNO is still here.

On January 29, 2016, UNO had a marketcap of just $229,000, before exploding on March 14 for $1.3m.

I'm not telling you UNO is cheap, but UNO is getting damn cheap.

The latest word on the 15K Cryptsy UNO wallet, received today from my legal contact in the office of the court conservator:

"I apologize for the delayed response.  Still mulling the options, but we should have a recommendation and formal motion filed (my estimate) in mid to late August.  It may make sense for you to reach back to me early next month.  Thanks."

There you have it.

I wouldn't say "only" but out of the thousands launched, after 3 years it's one of the few still viable.

UNO is 3x faster than Bitcoin and resets difficulty after each block (KGW).

Its light and nimble, and open source and fast, low inflation, and merged mined with Bitcoin.

UNO would be a great blockchain to build an "Alexandria" like service on.

Taking my annual summer (northern hemisphere) vacation this week. Don't feed the trolls while I'm gone. Will delete it eventually. Be good, have fun, spread the Uno love. No pumping Uno until I get back! I want in on that.

The extraction chart looks better, and we're pushing 100 THS right now.  I'd like to see it higher, but much improved from 24 hours ago.

I've done a little more investigating and have picked up a few clues as to why UNO's hash rate is low.

It appears that multipool.us has forked. I'm unclear why that happened. Possibly they were running the 0.9.5 software. I have contacted them by email and hope they are able to resolve it soon.  You can see here that Multipool.us is on block 806105 while Chainz and the rest of the network is on 805996. Obviously if you check these pages, the numbers will be different than what I am stating at this moment, but they should generally match.

Zpool has merge mining offline for issues with their stratum server.  Mmool is has all merge mining offline for issues with the new Bitcoin core.  Syscoin pool seems to have dropped Bitcoin from merge mining, but still is merge mining UNO and all of the other coins.

All of this has resulted in a perfect storm to drop UNO's hash rate for the moment.

So if you miss the good ol' times of mining UNO direct, this is your lucky day!  Dust off that old SHA256 mining rig, or go rent some hash from miningRigRentals.
You help the UNO network by mining at Pool.Syscoin.org, but you'll get NEOS payouts.  If you want to mine UNO directly, you can still do that at IPOMiner.com  I pointed about 800 GHS at IPO Miner and I'm finding blocks.

I'm looking forward to getting Zpool and Mmpool back online for UNO, but we'll keep things moving along until they get themselves sorted. The UNO community is an experienced one, and will can step in to help whenever there are problems.

I was just playing with the cool new Coinomi wallet that added support for UNO, and noticed the slow chain, then saw the posts here.

Checking the chainz explorer, difficulty has been falling since block 805770.

One of the big miners must have gone offline. We'll push through it with the next block.

If I doesn't pickup in next 12 hours I'll go rent 100 ths. Thank goodness for KGW.

I've also emailed BW about it.

We've temporarily lost mmpool as the last bitcoin update broke their merge mining setup. They're working on it, but we can't get MMPOOL back online fast enough, imo.

Cryptapus might have it posted on his Github, but I'm not sure where it is exactly.

This Uno port of Bitaddress generates keys in your browser, not on the server.
Once it loads in your browser, disconnect from the internet. Now generate your paper wallet offline. Print it and close your browser window.

If I get my hands on those 15K, they will move to a wallet that starts with uFKFKFK and stay there forever.

We don't know what will happen yet, though. I'll call my contact on Monday who is part of the Cryptsy administration team and see if I can some clarity on that for us.
I hope it comes up for an open bid.

There is no liquidity at the moment because saavy investors realize that someone is willing to sell UNO at below market prices.  

I don't worry because I'm long term, I'm not selling, and I know it can be set back up at a fairer price the moment that we as a community are ready.

As for me, I'm sort of on the side at the moment, waiting to see what occurs with this Halvening event today.  I'm also struggling emotionally to pull the trigger on moving new money into Bitcoin.  And Coinbase shut off my account claiming that I buy too much Bitcoin and demanding that I send them even more documentation, which just rubs me the wrong way. Apparently "high volumes" to Coinbase just ain't what it used to be. And also, I keep hoping we'll hear something about that 15K UNO Cryptsy wallet (I'd love to wrap my new money arond that wallet, if I can). 

If you can score some down the .001's or 002's, more power to you! Harvest that whale.
