661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a mainnet? Why you have to pay attention to it? on: May 13, 2020, 07:46:47 AM
Actually Ethereum blockchain made it possible for many projects to be developed and also it is good that before investing in any project, there is need to study the whitepaper and mostly roadmap as to know the timeline of events, developments or upgrades, thus having it in mind if there will be a possible migration to their own blockchain or not. Also, holding of new projects demands that you join their telegram group and check it once in a while to know of any change in plans and so on; to be frank this issue of mainnet has made many people to lose their assets thus if one is looking for long term investments where he won't bother about mainnet, then already developed altcoins are the best.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Staking Is The Next Step In Crypto on: May 13, 2020, 07:29:02 AM
In my own opinion, staking can be good at the same time can be bad; good in the sense that the project have something good and attractive it offers which then makes the token to have value, in this case, you are sure that the reward you are getting for staking your asset is worth it. On the other hand, most projects don't have any use case, thus staking in this case will only end up in a bad way. Also, it is possible that most team can also use the idea of staking to get what they want and exit scam, nothing is impossible for most teams to do. Therefore, let us always research every project and then knowing if the staking system is good enough or not.
In my own case, I rarely stake, I prefer trading it.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in this new IEO on: May 12, 2020, 01:56:50 PM
This is my own opinion; I don't like Latoken nor anything concerning it because the exchange has shown over time to be a bad one where projects gets listed and the price keeps going down. Even their IEO isn't profitable when compared to other exchanges and from the running of the exchange, it doesn't look like it's changing anytime soon. Therefore to air my opinion about investing, I will say, seek for IEO in other exchanges such as Binance, Kucoin and so on, you will be glad you did.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ADA or XLM on: May 12, 2020, 01:51:44 PM
I want to invest some altcoin. My elder brother are suggest to me to invest ADA or XLM. But I am willing to invest in either one. Which of the following would be better to invest in?

This is a really tough one in my own case, because both are my choice and favourite coins, but since you are aiming to invest in just one, then XLM is a better one. The team are one of such that don't only care about their community but also about growth which is one of the reasons the coin keeps maintaining its growth among others. In case you change your mind, ADA is also a good one whose team are very much active.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A problem with ETN exchange on: May 11, 2020, 10:42:41 AM
Hello everybody. It just so happened that I need to exchange my ETNs for LTC, but as it turned out, this is not so simple. In this case, I'm still a beginner, and not all the nuances are still known to me. I went through several trusted exchanges, like Shapeshift, Changelly, Coinbase. There is no such opportunity. Does anyone know in which instant exchange you can still exchange ETN for anything? Preferably at a not very high commission?

Here I would like to ask whether it is worth doing ETN mining at all, given the fact that such difficulties arise with its exchange and application?

Since you are a beginner; For future reference, the first and best way to know where a coin is trading on is by going through coinmarketcap, then using the search engine to search for the coin or token you want, samething can be done for exchanges so that you don't visit a phishing website. So after getting the search result, you can proceed to the exchange to sell or buy as the case maybe. Talking about ETN it is listed on several cryptocurrency exchanges already of which I find Kucoin better owing to volume, trading pairs (that is, you can sell to BTC, USDT or ETH) etc, and as for those exchanges you mentioned, I do not think ETN is trading there; so you can visit coinmarketcap and do the needful. Furthermore, you asked about their mining, I don't know much about it now because when I tried then, it was a waste of time.
For Coinmarketcap visit: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/electroneum/markets/
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here is What Vitalik Sees For Ethereum in the Years to come on: May 11, 2020, 10:19:41 AM
In my own way, I see it this way, a project whose team already have a vision or roadmap and working towards it have higher chances of survival; this is where most new projects gets it wrong, some don't even have roadmap, some do but don't follow it up. There is no harm in updating or improving the roadmap but it makes sense following it through to ensure the main ideas aren't overlooked. So therefore with the co-founder of Ethereum having big plans laid out for the future shows they care about their growth and which is one of the reasons the blockchain has been growing till now. Let's wait patiently for the Ethereum blockchain upgrade while expecting more in the near future.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto changes. on: May 10, 2020, 08:29:27 AM
Today many people stating that the bitcoin is rapidly falling because of the outbreak coronavirus, it is because they are limiting the transactions for over the world and stop trading for a while but they forgot the whales those are the people who can be responsible for this changes because they have the huge amount of coins holding from the previous analysis still there is a 42% of the coins still not circulating for over two years and this is a cause too why the market price of the cryptocurrency is not good enough again. If you can see the market price of the coin having changes and going up rapidly in just a single day and back to lower price this is because of the whales they are diving into the dip and grabbing the opportunity collect coins as many as they can because the halving will be coming in the next few months and expect that the market price of the coins will back to huge changes.

As of then, the price of Bitcoin as well as other coins were falling because of the pandemic, and that's the way I see it, how? Immediately the virus became a world problem, many countries were fast to start a lockdown which lead to the fall of all markets with crypto inclusive, as for crypto, people started selling off to fiat in order to buy things that will sustain them in the lockdown while most converted to stablecoins. This to the best of my understanding is what happened. However, one can't rule out the fact that whales might still have played a role but I think the major cause was as a result of the pandemic. Lastly, just like the title, "crypto changes" the crypto market stood up to the change in a positive way.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: May 10, 2020, 08:14:38 AM
The market has already withstood it till now which proves a common but very important fact and that is, the crypto space have something good to offer which makes it still standing till now even when most markets are struggling to keep up with the harmful effects or results of the pandemic. Also the nature of the crypto space then, that is, when the pandemic was declared and the nature now shows there is a good and big positive difference. In my own opinion I see it as, people are still trading and holding while new people are coming in, in order to be able to meet up with their personal needs etc since most businesses are on lockdown.

670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] How diversified are you in Altcoins in Q1 2020? on: May 09, 2020, 06:22:38 PM
I have always known Bitcoin as the best coin to hold all the time, and as such 70% of my funds goes to it while the remaining 30% I spread over major altcoins with a good portion going to Ethereum and the rest to other altcoins such as XLM, ADA and BNB. As for new coins, am still being careful not to get trapped since it's obvious a lot of them don't have anything to offer and with the nature of things both in the crypto space and in the world, one needs to be careful.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: May 08, 2020, 10:50:32 AM
Which altcoins are you hodling?

I didn't sell any altcoins that I'm holding lately (i probably should), however, is it a smart idea to buy them now or wait a bit more?

What are you holding? and what will you do?

Buying, selling or holding altcoins currently, depends on the type of altcoin it is. Some people holding a coin like Ethereum hardly bothers about dumping since it is obvious that being a top altcoin it will still rise again. Also, some people holding most major altcoins hardly bothers or easily moved atimes. But for selling, it depends on what the person want, maybe want to sell for profit or sees other reasons to. So my opinion is, take your time to study the altcoins you are holding in your portfolio and know if it is still good for holding or if it is better counting your losses, selling and going for others.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 40% bonus is too much for early Investors? on: May 08, 2020, 10:34:33 AM
In some cases where a token price crashes soon after listing on the Exchange, the blames has over time been attributed to the bounty hunters and sometimes to early investors that received certain bonuses.

Do you think 40% bonus for early investors is too much and capable of crashing token price?

Yes I think it is quite too much for new or early investors and when such happens there is every tendency it will crash the token price. There have been many projects which did this, and of course the token price was affected badly forcing the project to be worthless. The truth is, most times the team don't think of the impact of most things such as this one because at that point in time or during the public sale, their sole aim is to raise money without giving concern to the future price of the token. Another funny thing is, some projects which do this, will still in turn blame bounty hunters when it is obvious the problem is from the team.

Which Altcoins Should Be Watched Closely in 2020
As the year 2020 started with boom in crypto currency after almost 1 and half year silence. Some of the ALTS shown great progress that includes ICX and some others. Can i ask experienced fellows here ,which are the ALTS that looks promising in 2020,Thanks

Thinking about promising altcoins this year, what comes to mind is altcoins which can withstand the current nature of things in the world and in the crypto space. In my own opinion, I will start with Ethereum of course, because of the rate of its growth as well as the level of trust the community already have in it. Another is ADA and BNB whose teams are also trying their best possible ways to ensure they keep getting their users engaged with more and better services. Other altcoins I will also focus on is XLM, and maybe Monero, although am checking more about it.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CitiOS (R2R) gone for good? on: May 07, 2020, 06:49:45 PM
In my own opinion any project with low trading volume which keeps getting worst is suspicious. Also, any project whose team aren't updating the community via their social media accounts or otherwise is also suspicious. To make it worst this project is listed on exchanges which are not well known in any way. So my final opinion is, the team are not sincere with the community neither is the current nature of their project good enough to bring in more users which shows the project is likely going down the drain.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the speed of the blockchains on: May 06, 2020, 12:42:25 PM
Speed is highly needed quite alright but there is something more important as well which is utility of the platform's coin. This is why, even though there are blockchains with higher speed than others, they still tend to be behind those with lower speed, why? Users have seen reasons to use more of those offering something good, something more than just speed. Nevertheless, am not saying that platforms or blockchains with higher speed but still behind or coming up shouldn't be given attention but I'm of the opinion that the team should endeavour to make sure their coins offers more utilities and so on.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roobee is a blockchain-based investment platform on: May 06, 2020, 12:27:15 PM
Am just knowing about the project and from all indications it looks good, but I can't rule out the fact that there were other projects with good ideas that still ended up going lower than what was expected of them. Nevertheless, I will make more findings to know how far the team have gone, if they are still following their aims, objectives and roadmap or are they one of those that has given up etc. Lastly, just to tip in, try and create an announcement thread it will be better.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on the blockchain - What do you think? on: May 05, 2020, 06:29:12 PM
Blockchain has come a long way and ever since then have grown to be better and amazing. Actually, blockchain can be used anywhere but the challenges is, who are those that are willing to stick to their goals and objectives and make sure it comes to reality? The projects we see today are not encouraging thus in one way hampering the growth of the blockchain space. Nevertheless, blockchain in gaming industry is gaining more attention because gaming industry is one of the biggest industry so far thus blockchain disrupting it, is a good one. Lastly with an experienced team of developers many things are possible with blockchain.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CMC Misleading new projects on: May 05, 2020, 06:08:17 PM
On one hand it is true on the other it isn't; that is, first, coinmarketcap gives credence to exchanges which are not well known or prominently used hence might be one of the reasons new projects uses them for IEO or direct listing. On the other hand, new projects are meant to make their findings as well, check the exchange they want to list on for IEO and know the status of success so far or check the exchange they want to list directly on and know how users see it, their actual volume, user base etc; these will go a long way in helping them to decide.
So therefore, just as investors make their research about projects they want to invest in, in the same way, new projects are meant to make their research about the exchange they want to list on.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old crypto ways fades away easily on: May 04, 2020, 10:34:20 AM
Funny enough, it is the projects that made it look that way, when they care only about their pockets what then is expected of everyone. Before now, most new projects were trusted but nowadays they are acting otherwise and now it's getting worse and hence what majority of people are after is, is the IEO on top exchange? Is it listed on top exchanges?. The reason is simple, that is, it shows a certian level of commitment from the team. Also, your last point about highly demands for the coin or token, actually only few coins can boast of this and a good percentage (maybe 95%) comes from old coins and 5% comes from new coins.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: May 04, 2020, 09:14:52 AM
Currently it makes sense being in altcoins which have good use case and whose team and community are very active because with each day many people are becoming wise and therefore choosing their investments in altcoins carefully. The list is a good one though as all the coins have proven their worth over time, but if I am to cut down the list that is choosing a few out of the entire lot, then it would be Ethereum,  Enjin, Binance, Dash and Monero.
