661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beaware of fake privnote.com on: February 25, 2024, 11:50:48 PM
I am sorry about that person's loss, I think it's also good for that person report this to privnote.com that there are copycats that are roaming and scamming their users so they'll put a note on their landing page to beware of the fake ones.

Don't send payment addresses using privnote.
I agree but those that have done it found it comfortable.  Undecided
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 25, 2024, 10:07:22 PM
These patterns and charts have been interesting when we're about to enter the bull run on 2021. I think that aside from the rainbow chart, there's also the Stock-to-flow(s2f) model that have predicted that $100k was gonna happen on that cycle. I am one of those believers that it's very likely that the bull run cycle by that time will reach $100k but it didn't happen and it's not enough. However, that was good run and we're so close to $70k at that time. This time, we don't know how long it's going to take for Bitcoin to reach $1M. Am I believing that it is going to happen? Yes but timeframe of it is unknown as the market keeps on changing with its variance and the trends that we're having. Fundamentals are there together with the adoption rate increasing but this time, it's with the bigger institutions although last 2021 cycle we've got them as well but as said for this time, there's the Bitcoin spot ETFs.
663  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession soon? on: February 25, 2024, 08:43:21 PM
Laying off of many employees is a sign that the economy isn't doing well. And with the tech companies doing this since the height of the pandemic, that only means that they've been lessening their cost of human resource for how many years up to this moment, they're not yet done. And with the emergence of AI, there have been positions that have been replaced by it and it's a real thing. Honestly, I wouldn't believe on it that most of it will be replaced by AI but not this quick. The phasing is so quick to the point that many workers are worried with their places if they're not going to upskill, there's a big chance that their employment will be gone and they'll be laid off too.
664  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a crypto investor, the less app you install the better. on: February 25, 2024, 04:56:31 PM
That's a good advice because there are many people who actually install 3rd party keyboards because it looks all good and aesthetic.
Yeah, they are for the design of it and thinks that it's the best keyboard that they'll ever have. I don't usually download something like this and even plug ins. Any type of app that we're downloading that we're not familiar with, there's a huge risk that we're putting to ourselves if we're going to be careless just for the sake of aesthetic and liking the design of it. Honestly, we don't really need them if there are integrated keyboards or the default ones.

I have already told my friends to avoid using such 3rd party keyboards because of security and data concerns.
We should only use the built in keyboards on our phones and also restrict permission to apps which doesn't require keyboard access.
It's applicable to anything and not just with keyboards. And once we give these apps permissions to access our phones, that's like giving them a huge hole and gate to come forward and attack us easily.
665  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Storminvest Scam on: February 24, 2024, 11:49:39 PM
Sorry about that. That's why I don't answer random calls on my phone that are not saved because there's a tendency that they're scammers. Once we register our numbers to any platforms, it's possible that it will be scattered to any other service and that's why if the call is urgent, for sure that person contacting me will send a message first and these scammers don't do that. When they don't think that victim of theirs won't respond to phone calls, they will stop because it's a waste of time for them. Or let's say that I accidentally answered the call and randomly talks about any investments that they are offering, for me that's already a red flag and the conversation should stop there as soon as possible.
666  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto scamming gambling sites on: February 24, 2024, 10:23:24 PM
No one can stop them but the authorities if they're ever reported and also to their provides. Once they're busted, that's also one reason for them to stop. These casinos are also trying their luck if there will be some victims that are going to test them out and will deposit money on them. From there, they're going to show that they're legit and then when the time of withdrawal comes. That's how they're going to surprise these victims that there will be some additional methods and processes that they need to fill for them to ask and will delay it as much as they can.
667  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 24, 2024, 06:41:26 PM
That's true, although there are many out of school youth. There are also many people that have their graduate studies but that doesn't signify that they're going to be rich and successful in life. The attitude towards to something what they do and even their work ethics is going to contribute to their future. While I believe that education is important and everyone should be entitled for that. But with students loans, graduate people are working to pay off those debt. If there's a way to eliminate that the quickest way, that should be done so that as a graduate student, you have a good start and your mind isn't set into paying those debt first because it's going to cause you stress and anxiety that might affect your encouragement into working to something you love.

Education is important in attaining someone else's ambition but your actions will tell you what are you gonna achieve in life. If you won't use your education to develop your skills to find good income, it will only stay that way. It is still on you how you will exhaust the potential of what you learned in improving your means of living. Just look at some people who only got their Bachelor's degree, and yet, they are doing good in life. Whereas, some with graduate studies are barely surviving in their day to day life. It goes to show that the education is not the ultimate basis where you go in life, but sure, it can aid you achieve things if you know how to employ it in advancing yourself in this life.

It is the start on how you should deal with life, if you do well in school then that discipline that you have developed there can be applied in your future career. Because that's one of the principles of schools and despite that most of the things there that we learn are basic and the advanced ones are through experiences, it's important that you have to start somewhere and that's through education. At first, it comes from our parents that we should study well so that we can do everything in life after graduation which is okay. It's like a promise that we have to grant to our parents since that's all they're asking. While the others don't grant and ignores that happiness that they might see from their parents and breaks their heart through not finishing it. They are showing it on the way that they know how they can make them proud and that's through their grit and skills that they've developed for which eventually, they're using for making money.
668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What was your first cryptocurrency? Come share your story! on: February 24, 2024, 10:35:41 AM
Obviously it is with Bitcoin. I am so noob to it because it's a new thing that I have heard. I didn't thought to buy as a whole and I just want to test the waters because during that time, you'd hear a lot of taboo and bad impressions about it. You name it, like being used by criminals, for drugs, money laundering, etc. But that didn't stopped me in knowing more about it. And because of various cryptocurrencies that can be found in the market now, it's always been Bitcoin that's the face of this industry. Whenever you're going to talk to someone and start a topic about cryptocurrencies, they will for sure going to ask and tell you about Bitcoin even if they don't have it and chosen to get into another altcoin.
669  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 24, 2024, 03:49:09 AM
You see the two words that we're describing about cloud mining, they're either unprofitable and likely a scam. If you want to mine, just mine with the equipment that's required if you're going to do it. ASIC miners for Bitcoin, GPUs for altcoins. And since nicehash has been mentioned, you can check out the components/peripherals that you can mine from your computer but honestly, if you're just going to do with your computer alone, you'd get bored because the hashrate aren't going to be enough. Usually, those that have mined ETH from before used them to mine with their GPUs but not applicable anymore as ETH turned into PoS.
670  Economy / Speculation / Re: As Bitcoin Prepare for more Bull, What's your Decision on: February 24, 2024, 01:56:31 AM
While there's still some correction that's happening, what is it with the lowest that we've seen on this cycle compared to the pump that it has got for all of the periods of time? Yeah, bitcoin is all I need. I think it will make more sense if the image isn't all about those TVs, appliances, etc. but altcoins, shitcoins that many are getting crazy because they're justifying that they'll get more gains than them. Well, that's for them but those who has been holding and DCAing, this is the best and profitable ever. Not everyone has got this opportunity to buy at low during that time and when we did, we told them but they've ignored us.
671  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hyip website offering unusual returns on: February 23, 2024, 11:56:14 PM
Typically, someone has to be familiarized with these schemes that whenever a company offers investments and they're promising high gains and returns. |
Everytime people see such scam offers, people will always question why scammers still make an obvious scam attempts when what they offer is obvious scam and many are aware of it?
It's because there are still people who are into it and ready to risk their money for greed because HYIP are good only in the "first place" so as long they are the first one who enter they are in good place, you will see a new user will pop up in other/different platform promoting that kind of site.
I wonder where OP found this site though.
That's the sad truth because of people's greed, they never stop getting into this. They're all familiar with it but decline to stop because they know that they have to be the first so that they're also the first one to get out of it. But honestly, they should just stop so that these scammers will lose their patience and eagerness to repeat these actions. If there are victims that are ready to get victimized, they'll be seen by these scammers and that will urge them that there are a lot of people ready to be targeted again no matter what type of scam scheme they portray the next time around that they're there. It's just so sad that they'll never stop and not just those type of people but also the actual ignorant ones too.
672  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 23, 2024, 10:22:38 PM
Going to school or becoming a graduate is not a guarantee that one will be rich.  If being a graduate is what makes people to be rich every graduate would have been rich . People becomes rich for so many reasons,  and their is no particular formula to acquire wealth or to becomes rich. When you see graduate who are not rich , just know that it is not everyone that passed through school will become rich .
That's true, although there are many out of school youth. There are also many people that have their graduate studies but that doesn't signify that they're going to be rich and successful in life. The attitude towards to something what they do and even their work ethics is going to contribute to their future. While I believe that education is important and everyone should be entitled for that. 673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anatsa Android malware downloaded 150,000 times via Google Play on: February 23, 2024, 08:19:57 PM
Phone Cleaner - File Explorer (com.volabs.androidcleaner)
Phone Cleaner: File Explorer (com.appiclouds.phonecleaner)
Do people really download these? AFAIK, most android phones have their built in cleaners and there's no need to download one. There's also the defragmentation which is enough to adjust and prolly clean some from the storage. I do understand if people are downloading pdf readers and viewers but the manufacturers should start to have them built in or most of them probably have because I can read PDF files without having the need to download these apps. It's what people need to do, explore their own smartphones without having the need to download anything since the feature they need was already built in on their phones.
These two apps might be installed by those who usually have that feeling that something is eating up their storage and they may be thinking this app may be helpful to them, while though most of newer Android phones comes with this apps default but not everyone may like the UI or UX of such apps in the device and so will try to download app offering such service.
I know that there are those users that don't mind downloading these apps and they don't have an idea that these contains the obvious malware or something that's going to make their smartphones even slower. I remember that there were people that even download "additional ram" on their phone through playstore and that's funny though but it is for real. They think that these apps really are going to make their phones perform better and these hackers are able to inject these malware on these apps that they develop.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's assume David chaum took the $180 million in 1999 on: February 23, 2024, 03:35:15 PM
Microsoft has this history of 'microsoft touch' and everything and every company that they acquire and touches, fails. I've just read it somewhere long time ago and that was actually right. If Microsoft took over the digital cash then it's likely that it will fail because there will be more competition that will come out from that idea. Well, it might be a blessing in disguise that David didn't sell it to them but started it out. Speaking of him, AFAIK, he's started some crypto projects too but I don't think they have become popular.

676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest in Bitcoin to perform Hajj. on: February 23, 2024, 11:21:00 AM
It is not a bad amount. But do you have some sales report on the average sales or profit of your mother's grocery store? If it's more than $3 then that's fine but you have to consider everything like expenses, daily operations cost and those stuff that will be lessened to the profit that the store generates on a daily basis. Try to make some report and compare it with at least a week or two or even a month and see if it's showing good numbers. Because if $90 in total for a whole month is already big for that store, I'd advise to prioritize first the expenses and daily costs.
677  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ledger Firmware Update" is a SCAM on: February 22, 2024, 11:51:20 PM
Usually, these links are sent through emails and the real and actual firm updates happen on the hardware wallet itself. When your email was exposed and taken by these scammers, you'll keep on receiving this type of scam attempt. If you own a Ledger, the firmware update are even posted on their official reddit community ~ https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/ and website itself like this ~ https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002731113-Update-Ledger-Nano-S-firmware?docs=true
678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going against the grain. on: February 22, 2024, 10:44:46 PM
It is subjective when you're going to sell. Are you in profit now? Sell if you need it. But if you don't think of selling anytime soon, that's also okay because this bull run is going to be a long bull run at least IMHO. We all have our own targets and what matters to you is that you don't follow the crowd and flock and you have your own way of decisioning. While at this point, many won't sell yet because we're still waiting for the halving. If you crave to buy, take some moment of yours and if you have some other source of income that you can use to buy, much better to do it. You'll never know on the actual bull run when you sell and then you try for it to have some dip but, the opposite way happens and it continuously go up. That's the point that when you sell, you should be happy already taking that profits and there's no going back unless you're too patient to wait and do a buy back.

Just to note that not all of these reviews and ratings are genuine. Always read them clearly because many of them could have been given a positive rating intentionally and is/are part of their group.
680  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: m88.com forfeit 209 euros on: February 22, 2024, 08:38:23 PM
Is this mansion88? I think that I've seen them somewhere sponsored some players and teams. I've only heard them through sponsorships but that doesn't mean that they're trustworthy. How did you ended up with this casino? So, analyzing your situation means that you've bet 40 euros and managed to grow it to 209 and they've detected that it's sort of odd to them on how you've won it and probably abused them. They are returning to you 40 euros but forfeited the entire 209 balance that you have. There is nothing we can help if they've decided to do that, next time, gamble on reputable casinos only.
