661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 24, 2023, 06:26:18 AM
Boy oh boy.

This is a known scam that you meet beautiful pretending ladies and you'll not even sure if they're the ones behind the cam ready to scam you.

She claimed to be a multi-millionaire, so why is she using a dating site? I don't believe that if you're a professional with a secure life, you'll avoid dating sites, especially if you're a woman.
That's right, these rich folks would probably play out with these websites but they're not going to stay there for many months talking with a random stranger that they've got nothing to take on unless you're already firm as a target of theirs ready to get scammed.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend your cryptocurrencies? on: June 24, 2023, 04:37:03 AM
Giving a normal persons opinion I would say crypto lending is risky business so far. You have to have strong collaterals to safe guard your money. You would be crypto lender so you would never know who is on the other side of lending bucket. Once you plot proper strategy then think about the % interest and recovery methods.
Indeed a very risky business.

Whether it's crypto or fiat lending, it's totally a risky business that I wouldn't get in. I have thought that this is all profitable but looking at many situations that happened for many lenders, I don't think that I can take that risk they're taking.

Those that have been on this business on the long time are good with this business but I am sure that they've also dealt with a lot of best of the best borrowers and also worst of the worst individuals.
663  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 24, 2023, 03:09:15 AM
In one week we will be half through the year , crazy I know  Shocked

What is everyone expecting for the rest of 2023 with Bitcoin?
Getting close to the halving, right? So, it's more likely that the bullish sentiment is what I am expecting for the rest of 2023 but this doesn't mean that nothing as dumps will be experienced.

A lot of good news lately with Bitcoin up 24% in a week but will it last?
I don't know, as long as there are more good news coming to the market and community, I'll take and will enjoy to see this run.

How high can we go before 2024? $40k? $50k?
Nobody knows but any of the two is possible.
664  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 23, 2023, 10:02:49 PM
The cost of living will continue to increase because the value of money continues to decrease or inflation,
And aside from death and taxes, there should be an addition of what's permanent in this world and that's inflation.

while it is increasingly difficult for us to find additional income, competition is getting tougher and the government is not pro-poor are factors that make the economy easy to control.
I wouldn't say in general that it is the government that's not pro poor/citizens. It depends to the country and type of government that they have but not all governments aren't like that.

I haven't been into many places but I've read that there are governments that are pro its people but it just so happen that in terms of politics, many will disagree.
665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 23, 2023, 08:43:02 PM
Comparing these two concepts is not the right decision. It should be understood that to complete the picture, you must first work in both areas and do at least a minimal analysis.
And that's prolly because OP had done both things.

Well, there's no requirement for one to compare these two. It doesn't matter whether you like more to trade or you like more to gamble. There's even no decision making needed just to say good and bad stuff between the two.

Everyone understands what's the concept of trading even if it's not in lined with cryptocurrencies. And the same goes for what gambling actually is, we just have to get it from its root and key words.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on The Island of Bali, Indonesia on: June 23, 2023, 07:40:38 PM
There is nothing people can do if someone who's a high official is against the usage of bitcoin and imposes a law or encourages its citizens and tourists to avoid using it.
The governor of Bali was just doing his job. It is his responsibility to announce that warning to the whole people in Bali, both the citizen and tourists. Well, Indonesian law is against the use of Bitcoin as a payment tool. The governor of Bali can't do anything, he only delivered what the laws state. Since Bali is a part of Indonesia, they must obey the laws as well.
Yeah, that's his job and there's no personal attacks on it. Somehow some of us have become sensitive due to these policies because on our perspective, we see that there's no reason for them to imply such laws.

While talking about the connection and ties of Indonesia and Israel, AFAIK, there's really a conflict between the two as Indonesia don't recognize Israel for its sovereignty.
Israel is a colonialist. Indonesia is always against a country that invades another country. Israel steals the land of Palestine, that's why Indonesia never recognizes its sovereignty.
Well, I have nothing to say about this issue. I'll better leave it to each their own and everyone has their own beliefs and views regarding these matters.

668  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: June 22, 2023, 08:48:34 PM
When you've noticed that it's just like a cycle that gets on happening again and again. And you're just an unstoppable spender, there's no problem and it's not a habit if you're spending it on meaningful things especially the needs that are essentials.

But if you're just spending it like you're one time big time millionaire in a day to you wants, that's certainly a bad habit that you should get rid. We can't stop to become a spender when money is in hands, I am not sure but there could be some psychological thing behind that because it's like everybody is like that.
669  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's imagine you were the president of your country, How would your Economic on: June 22, 2023, 07:40:01 PM
Even if having the powers to do everything you can being the president, economy is a large scale that even a president can do nothing when it's already too big to manage.

We'll never know if there are bigger people behind a country's economy and they can make economic sabotage. But with policies, there can be something that I would like to do.

Like having a lesser tax and lesser budget for the public officials to see who are really the ones that's wanting to be a public servant but I don't know, this can end up into corruption so that thought of mine will still be useless.
670  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 21, 2023, 10:13:41 PM
I was supposed to say if when the market is green could be only the reason to enter the market can't be right at all time.
I have seen people that does this strategy. They're only becoming active to the market again if they see that the situation is better for the market and it's on green.

Instead of taking moments and advantage of the bearish seasons, they don't like that because they feel that the market is gonna be upset and will fail.

Those that have experience on this market and had stayed for a long time understands the essence why people are telling everyone to buy when it's not green or when it's red. That's the best time to accumulate.

People that do FOMO whenever we see the trend changes and it becomes positive, they may take profit in the short term but most likely those that have lesser patience and tolerance will keep on doing the same mistakes.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why has Bitcoin suddenly jumped above $30,000? - 06/21/23 on: June 21, 2023, 08:14:22 PM
Did China do something that made the Chinese people start buying? Or what?

Cool
Maybe it's the Americans with the help of the retail buyers due to the massive Bitcoin ETF news that came out.

Or let's say that if it's really the Chinese people that did it, maybe the words that came from Blinken had given them the confidence that it's the buying signal.

All of the ideas that had came to my mind was literally just like anybody else thinking of these Bitcoin ETF's.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: June 21, 2023, 06:45:29 PM
Yes everyone first starts gambling for free time but gradually when he gets addicted to gambling he doesn't know. I started gambling for a little entertainment to spend my free time. I don't like gambling much now because I am a gambler.  I lost a lot of money playing.I was totally addicted to gambling then. So I didn't understand anything then. Now I understand and regret a lot.
It's good that you've noticed and you're able to acknowledge that you've been once an addicted gambler. It is a hard thing for a gambler to accept his faults and admit that he's already too much and considers himself as an addicted gambler. While you've been through, a lot of realizations for sure has happened.

The scenario of yours and OP isn't that far at all. You need to assure yourself that you're only gambling for what it is intended for and what you've planned for.

When it's time to withdraw profits, do not forget about it and remember that being too much on it does have a lot of bad effects.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: June 21, 2023, 05:42:31 PM
I think its nearly %100 unnecessary if you are intelligent and hardworking person and have some coworkers or friends that will help you in starting business adventure. But even if its unnecessary its valuable.
It may look unnecessary if you've got them but there will be a point of them that it's going to be seen the worth of it.

Things you will learn through mba must be important because many people love to mba. Also having completed mba makes very flexible. Even if your businesses fail, you will have great education in your cv that will help you find better jobs. Or just fix your company.
That's right, it is one thing if you ever want to get out of business and you think that making your own company isn't for you. You'll still have good record for yourself that you've finished a degree and an MBA.

And maybe you're for the other company that you'll help them to grow. But we like it more if we're doing it on our own, it's also seasonal if you notice that it's not yet for you.
674  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better to have a trading knowledge than depending on signals. on: June 20, 2023, 11:40:45 PM
As a trader that relies on buying signals, how confident are you about the continuous availability of those signals. Would they always be accurate and dependable?  Heavily depending on signals is parallel to same thing as someone else trading for you with your money. How ironical!
I am not one but I'll have my answer on the question.

Those that are relying on signals aren't confident of their own selves. It could be a big help to them as it makes trading easier based on the signals that they have.

But not at all times that it will be good as what they think even if they're bought as the premium offers from those providers. Pretty much that most of them are just plain analysis by someone who knows how to trade better than the starters.
675  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CZ called Binance Nigeria scam entity on: June 20, 2023, 10:45:57 PM
Nice, this is the exact answer or clue I am looking for, I just wanted to know if this operation is ongoing in the country without any manhunt being launched already on the operators, with the way CZ explained things, it looked like he had a solid prove that such scam is ongoing in the country, but this says otherwise, thanks Charles-Tim.
It can also be found on their website, Binance official.

Binance has recently issued a cease and desist notice to an unauthorized entity named Binance Nigeria Limited, as confirmed by CEO Changpeng Zhao.

The announcement came after the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) released a circular on June 9, declaring the illegality of Binance Nigeria Limited’s operations within the country.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao took to Twitter on June 18 to share the development. Reports suggest that a spokesperson from Binance promptly responded to the SEC’s circular, asserting that the mentioned entity has no affiliation with the exchange.[...]

This is self explanatory. CZ is the owner of Binance while Binance Nigeria use their brand name impersonating that they are local Binance for Nigeria.
For the others that think there's some misleading of what OP has brought as topic, this is one of the explanation that everyone has to see.

It's a copycat company that used Binance's name to attract their victims and the sole purpose is to fraud them.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A no-Bitcoin friend turned a old Bitcoiner on: June 20, 2023, 09:37:10 PM
Because that's how you do it.

That guy understands on how important it is to live a private life and no need to broadcast it even to his friends that his into Bitcoin for such a long time.

I am also doing this when friends of mine that have asked me before and then follows me up and asks me if I'm still in. I'm choosing people where I'll be serious about matters and that guy probably feels the same thing.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many advantages do you know about tron? on: June 19, 2023, 05:59:48 PM
As others agreed, USDT.
To be honest, I only use the Tron network when I am transferring USDT to several exchanges because it's the cheapest and most available if you want your funds to be transferred on some exchanges.
The only advantage of Tron for me is being fast transaction sped and lower transaction fees.
Yeah, it's like this is the most use of tron and that's for USDT.

While the ERC20 is too expensive for its fee, so this integration is like what the majority in the community really likes about Tron.

There's no contest about its usage and demand with USDT transactions on TRC20 and that's one advantage that you mentioned which is like a combination of most of all.
678  Other / Archival / Re: No panic while holding my Bitcoin on: June 19, 2023, 04:14:12 PM
Welcome and good to see you here.

You're right about panicking, it's not going to help a newbie if he panics while seeing the price of bitcoin goes down. And that's good that you've acknowledged that while you're new.

Because not every newbie can understand that quickly, all they think is to take the profits now and never go back to the market. They think it's an extra special market and with different process from the other usual markets that we know.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 18, 2023, 04:53:49 PM
I agree with you. Many people are too impatient and expect quick returns from their investments.
This is hard to change for most of the investors that are only here for the quick profits. That's why they're looking for those projects that are hype and making a noise because they can make quick profits from it.
You are right in saying that in the cryptocurrency market everyone is trying to get quick profits, and many end up losing money and becoming disillusioned with cryptocurrency. I also agree with you that a good project needs development, which sometimes takes more than a year or two. But there is a paradox here. While one project is developing and making a product, several other projects may appear in its place. In the crypto world, projects don't live long; technologies become obsolete very quickly and something new is constantly emerging. There is a lot of competition.
That's the real scenario in the market. There have been projects that are existing before they become known and yet a rising star project is being recognized for that moment.

It is one reason why many project developers are very quick in taking leads of the path of their project. They're like taking a shortcut in execution and that leads them to being questioned if they're serious with their projects.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any airdrop hunters here need some leads on: June 18, 2023, 03:15:28 PM
I'm not into airdrops but I do see discussions and threads where hunters are talking about what's possible project they should chase.

And as you've mentioned zkSync, that's one of the many that I've read that they're talking with its airdrops. Those that have been into airdrops, I guess they've got a lot of list to work with.

But it's gonna consume a lot of time and you might end up with nothing again.

Why waste time on airdrop when there are many other already established coins you can go for, am sure it's all because of the free nature of how they can acquire some airdrops is what always attract them to this, but they can't always be reliable when applying for them because of the sources to those airdrops projects aren't genuine themselves, many have left the hunt for the newbie in cryptocurrency.
Yes, you've just answered it.

That's what the airdroppers are taking time and effort and that's because of the free money that they can potentially get from the airdrops. We all knew it that they're not good at all times.

And for sure the airdrop folks are aware of it that they can't get free money at all times because it will depend on how successful these projects are.
