6601  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk ad: creativity is at best with extreme simplicity on: August 23, 2019, 01:39:15 PM
I think the ad you're seeing should actually look like this?

Yeah that's how everyone should expect but in this case the advertiser gone with the very basic (A part of their advertising strategy) in my opinion.

Keep refreshing. It was bitcasino

Here I found one from theymos obviously.

6602  Other / Meta / BitcoinTalk ad: adBlocker blocking contents on: August 23, 2019, 01:25:46 PM
Topic turned out to be a very different than initially what I thought. Read after the line breaking (hr tag) to see the initial discussion I was intending to discuss.

However, I think we found a possible topic to discuss.

Since, this is not google ad or any kind of search engine or ad network provided ad - I think the adBlocker should not block this. Some of the contents in the ad is blocking the graphical contents on those ads. The advertisers need to be aware about it and possibly theymos can identify which part of code is affecting and update the ad requirements.

When adBlocker is active:

When adBlocker is not active:

I just noticed this ad:

First, I thought it's a post then in the next second I realized it's the forum ad space LOL

Forum ad specifications:
Ads are allowed to contain any non-annoying HTML/CSS style. No images, JavaScript, custom fonts, or animation. Ads must appear 3 or fewer lines tall in my browser (Firefox, 900px wide). Ad text may not contain lies, misrepresentation, or inappropriate language. Ads may not link directly to any NSFW page. No ICOs[1], loggable mixers[2], banks, funds, or anything that a person can be said to "invest" in; I may very rarely make exceptions if you convince me that you are ultra legit, but don't count on it. Ads may be rejected for other reasons, and I may remove ads even after they are accepted.

And I see there are nothing wrong with the above ad but too simple :-P
I would say: creativity is at best with extreme simplicity.

Your thoughts?

Man I am worried about the tip: England to win or draw :-P

However! however!! I am very happy with the performance of Australian bowlers.

EDIT: 67 runs and booked LOL
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is our ODI World cup champion 2019  Tongue
6604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 23, 2019, 01:07:10 PM
BIG LOL
What is going on with England?
NINE DOWN! :-P

Australia is going to win the test even without Smith in the team and the series with ease.
England had their best chance to win a Test match in this series but their betting line up is showing the worse commitment LOL
6605  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lauda still on DT? on: August 23, 2019, 12:44:45 PM
Did I miss this or something?  Theymos blacklisted Lauda from what, DT1?  I do remember the PM Theymos sent out to a bunch of DT1 members, but I don't recall that anything came of it.
I am struggling to find the reference post but I can recall clearly that I have read something that he (theymos) blacklisted Lauda. It was at the beginning of the new flag system introduced.

He was probably inspired by this- http://hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com, earlier he mentioned it.
Yes I get it. But I was giving an alternative proposal of the idea so that these things stay permanently.
6606  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit Support Group Is Now On The Move! on: August 23, 2019, 12:36:53 PM
This isn't a false hope, to all of the users who has a problem or issue regarding on their accounts please join the group on telegram and if possible join the discussion on the thread that I have made on the Reputation Section. Please do not that response from Yobit are still slow, so you'd better cool off your head.
Good for them. It's their business and they need to do what is right thing for their business. May be they need someone in BitcoinTalk as their representative to build up some reputation.
6607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LegendaryDR tried ripping me on: August 23, 2019, 12:19:38 PM
~snip~
I got screenshots bro I said he tried ripping me I found out later that account wasn’t actually the one he was trying to sell

As I said, gather the evidences and update the OP then move them to scam accusations board if you thing it was a scam attempt or move to reputation section.

Cheers :-)

PS : RIP
RIP Australia. I missed the whole day yesterday but once I checked the score after the day I was like, well it is expected. All out for 179 runs!

Anyway, England seems not responding well too. They lost 4 wickets to collect 38 runs so far. I am expecting anyone from England will build a partnership. England should win this test. Without Smith, the Australian team is broken. Good news that Warner got few runs in the first innings.

Do you guys remember my picks:
England to win or draw
India to win or draw
New Zealand to win or draw.

I should have risked some money in this multibet but I am under an oath :-(

EDIT:
Who is going to rescue England? 54/6 LOL Lunch break.

I kinda wanted a .com for this, but I was too cheap last night Cheesy The .tk expires after a year.
I did a quick research and if the article is not wrong then .tk domains are free :-P
However, after a year you will need to renew.

Anyway, this seems very interesting idea and I think you can do it in your Loyce.club domain. You won't need to buy domains every time or worried about to renew them after a year.

For example:

http://loyce.club/DTcheck/still/IsLoyceStillOnDT
http://loyce.club/DTcheck/still/IsVodStillOnDT

6610  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LegendaryDR tried ripping me on: August 23, 2019, 11:09:28 AM
It's very clear that you are struggling with English. What account you are talking about? First I thought BitcoinTalk account then it seems localbitcoins account. Which one is the correct one or it's something else?

Side note: This is not Bitcoin discussion topic nor a scam accusations as well since you have not scammed. I think this is a reputation type topic but again you are trying to accuse a user without bringing any proof. My advice is that bring some proof and update the OP and move it to the reputation section. If you are right then users will take extra caution before dealing with LegendaryDR.

Cheers

I am also placing this 3fold because like this.
WAIT!

Do not blame me if you do not win. :-P

Seriously, I am not a professional tipster. In fact I have not place a bet yet in this selection. Not sure if I will be. I am just taking a break from gambling. But if I were to bet then I would go for it.
6612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 21, 2019, 04:31:20 PM
And I feel Warner could be back in his form
I really hope he comes back if he was chosen for the first eleven for the 3rd test. Warner is the most experienced batsman after Smith and he needs to take responsibilities. It's gonna be hard for him but he needs to show his personality in this match.

However, I still back my selection.
3 fold odd @3.26

This wouldn't be a 51% attack, it would have to be a hard-fork.
Oh yes, I messed up a bit.

Anyway, I do not think we need a hardfork as well. Just leave the coins there for the one it belongs to. I do not understand all these buzz surrounding it. Leaving those coins there in fact increase the value of Bitcoin. Less supply more demand.
6614  Economy / Services / Re: Need A Landing Page In Html on: August 21, 2019, 11:15:19 AM
I am looking for someone who can do a simple but eye catching landing page in html. I will discuss the details in pm. My budget is 25 dollars . I dont want a complex one. If anyone is interested in this job, please pm me . I will pay the money once the work is done and you need to show the design by installing in your server. After that I will make the payment. No upfront payment.

Simply go to themeforest: https://themeforest.net
Search for one page landing page or something like that. You will find hundreds of designs. Easy to use if you know basic HTML. With $25, you can pick a decent one, if you are lucky then very good one.

I think they both have a fair chances. At this point I am kinda inclined to Australia winning the series but so far England has shown the signs where they have put Australia in backfoot couple of times in this series. We still have 3 more matches to see and I don't think it will be long enough for England to bounce back into game if Australia opening batsman continuously fails to provide a good starting score in the next matches.

I only heard about Smith that he is not playing in the third match. This is already a very bad news for Australian team. I have no idea about the openers but if they perform (especially Warner) like they did in the first two Test then it will be very difficult for Australian team even to give a fight against English team.

In the last two match, if you take off Smith from Australian team then you will see there were no significant performance from the team. It was Smith who single handily fought against the English bowlers.
6616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 21, 2019, 10:56:36 AM
Sad news, Smith is out from the third Test.
Concussed Steven Smith out of Headingley Test

Without him the Australian team is looking very poor. England now has the best chance to come back to the series and equalize the result. I really hope that Smith recovers soon. This injury is not looking good at all.

Anyway, tomorrow will be a busy day for Cricket lovers. three Test from 6 Test playing nations, quite exciting. I will be watching Australia vs England one as usual. I may watch bits and pieces of India vs WI too.

If Nakamoto does appear and decides to cash in the Satoshi stash—or threatens to—the bitcoin market would almost certainly collapse.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/paxful-founder-makes-wild-proposal-161450915.html

I have no idea but I think Bitcoin is no more in control of anyones hand. May be we will see a sudden crash but then again people will start to buy and market will stable. Who would miss to buy something which is on sale?

For the last 10 years people were expecting all sorts of crash but Bitcoin survived. Bitcoin will survive till the end.

Quote
Burning Nakamoto’s coins is possible, if incredibly unlikely. If the whole network came together and agreed to move the coins into a different, inaccessible, account, then Nakamoto would be unable to access his/her/their fortune.

This will be a disaster. They are asking perform a 51% attack. This is stupid and dangerous idea in my opinion. Tomorrow you will ask to burn someone else's Bitcoin if you do not like them to have huge amount of Bitcoin. Bitcoin was created to have peace in mind that no one can touch my money.
6618  Other / Meta / Re: Different IP Login on: August 20, 2019, 05:57:28 PM
Mostly used by scammers.
I am glad you used the word mostly. It's personal preference. Practicing privacy is not an offense. There are good people who also use VPN/TOR to hide their location information.

Also there are some countries where Bitcoin is not legal, they do not want to risk their location so they have this option to hide it.
6619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine that you have a travel machine that get you back to the 2013 on: August 20, 2019, 05:00:10 PM
what would be the first thing to do and how to buy bitcoin where to hold which currency want to get and how do you plan to do that  Roll Eyes
LOL I would spend every single fiat I had into BTC and would never sell them.

I would not spend much in luxury, I would loan money from the bank, from the relatives, from friends, from possibly everywhere and loan from others. I would promise them better return than bank of their money they gave me. Once BTC would hit it's ATH (~$19k) I would sell them all and cashed out. I would repay all the loan and with the rest I would buy when price are down and sell when price at the pick every time.

Not to mention, I would again spend all my cash to buy BTC when the price was $3,200 few months ago.

Majority of Cricket tests never end in a draw even if the weather conditions don't help out sometimes. Australia could have lost the recent test match and survived barely even after consecutive days of rainfall recently.
True. Test cricket used to be boring before because team were too defensive but now teams are more attacking. I think T20 changed this mindset.

Back to the selection:
If you notice my selection then it's a multibet. Three Test matches.

Weather in England is like women. You can not predict. In the Caribbean, I have no idea about their weather but we have seen rain in between India vs WI matches and finally the Sri Lanka vs NZ, we have seen rain there as well in Sri Lanka. So I did not want to take risk.

If I were to bet in single match then I would wait and place in play bet and then may be I would go for straight win for a team.
