If you guys are worried about the price dipping because of multipool, then set your sell orders up high and don't sell for cheap. The pools which trade out automatically will be forced eventually to pay higher prices, if everyone does this.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Mandatory Wallet Update on: May 01, 2014, 12:42:46 PM
So is the owner now saying that he lied to us about being able to get wholesale GPUs?

I think he is just scamming.  Either way he is lying.

He never could get them wholesale the first time around, and I warned him about that, and I told everyone else the same. Nobody that he could deal with was going to give him a super sharp deal, especially when the large volume distributors get first dibs to the monthly shipments from asia.

I think it curious that he has stock remaining,  a good amount actually, and makes it seem like he can't liquidate. He can definitely liquidate and be out less. Unless he already liquidated and just didn't say anything.

Seems like he can put this as business #3 that he ruined.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: May 01, 2014, 04:21:44 AM
I posted an OFFICIAL NEWS RELEASE where you can SEE the SEC prosecuted someone involved in a scam involving Bitcoin.

Yeah they did, and they did this BEFORE the IRS ruling. The lawyers involved in this even had a press conference after the IRS ruling saying they would be working on more court time because of the new ruling which may in fact nullify the previous case to some extent, or allow for the ruling to be overturned easily.

Bitcoin is a crypto coin and so is POTcoin.  So you think the SEC criminally prosecuted someone for perpetrating fraud using Bitcoins but they won't go after fraud using POTcoin?

The problem is your fact-following is mixed up, as I state above, the IRS ruling came after the groundbreaking of the cases in question, and will definitely change the situation.

Maybe you don't know this but federally regulated New York Crypto Exchanges and public ETFs are being licensed and opening this YEAR.

Old news bro. And what occurs at a state level does not equate to federal regulation.

That means Crypto COINS will DEFINITELY fall under the regulations and criminal prosecution arm of the SEC.

Except that the IRS disclosure effectively stated that it would not, and would likely never.

Dude, do you even read full press releases?
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: May 01, 2014, 04:06:00 AM
Halfwit, the United States of America (and other major Countries) ruled crypto currencies are MONEY and PROPERTY which make them securities which then fall under SEC regulations.

The IRS ruled that cryptocoin and related virtual currencies are digital properties, not money, and doesn't fall under SEC. As of recent it's not regulated, except to the extent the IRS can tax the property. Unless I've misread every single thing on the matter including the IRS publication and articles as recent as 4 hours ago.

Dude, you're off your rocker. Just chill.

Haha, yeah that bites.

What's the estimated time of announcement for this big thing.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: May 01, 2014, 02:37:49 AM
PotCoin, you should post those accomplishments on the OP and keep it up to date.

Vlad, I gotta wonder what your issue is. If potcoin was a scam, what have they taken from you that you can quantify? You alleged that they stole from you. I'm all for clearing out the scams, but potcoin doesn't tip the meter that much for a scam right now in my mind. You just really seem aggravated for some reason, almost medically-induced honestly.

I'm really curious.

No Linux wallet on github? I saw you had windows only so far.

What's the precise time of launch? You give a day but not a time.

Check this out:  http://www.blackcoinpool.com/faq

I like this process. We need one of our pools to step up and implement this. We should rally as a community and see if we can ask as a community to implement this. Our value will increase or at least stay steady.

So let me get this straight, and I might be wrong, you point your miners to that pool and they mine other coins and exchange the coins for blackcoin? What would be the point of going to that method.

Creating buy traffic on the exchanges, pushing the price up.

I get that but in the end it's still synthetic.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Mandatory Wallet Update on: April 30, 2014, 03:49:34 PM
There are others delivering right now, but when KNC hits--if they deliver like before--it's going to be game over for the majority of home miners.

I don't think so for a variety of reasons the biggest being there will other coins that asics will not be able to mine. X11 and hefty just to name 2.

Can it be mined on a computer or GPU? Then ASIC can mine it, it just has to be designed.

Like I said, there's 2 companies working on multi-algo ASIC right now, implementing all currently-used mining algos.

And my game-over comment was for LTC miners, as I predict most of the heavy machines will go to that.

Doesn't look like its going to take that long.  Lastest update from Flower Tech is their upcoming ASICs will also do Scrypt N.

Flower Tech is an empty box that will disappear before shipping
http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/1y9hbc/brock_flower_technology_scam/
The point of Scrypt N is that every year the factor will become bigger, so if an ASIC has been developed for a specific factor, then it doesn't work anymore.

Yeah FlowerTech, I wouldn't trust. My focus is on KNC for absolute speed and efficiency. Their first batch of scrypt should deliver around 2-3PH, the majority I'm betting will hit litecoin. There are others delivering right now, but when KNC hits--if they deliver like before--it's going to be game over for the majority of home miners.

I know there are Scrypt-N specific ASIC in the works, and I know there are multi-algo ASIC in the works. Regarding the specs of Scypt-N, who knows, but hella more than most people think. If you consider 300-500MH is going to be entry level Scrypt for KNC, just figure 150-250.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Mandatory Wallet Update on: April 29, 2014, 03:02:20 PM
Oh no doubt.. KNC's batch 1 shipment will bring around 2-3PH, batch 2 will be even more. The multi-algo systems will be exciting whenever they hit. And KNC is looking to double their SHA power. Bitcoin will be mined out hahaha.

I only mentioned the business because the coin is white noise without it. Why mine GPUC at that point? Why even revive it honestly? Let it die. Better coins out there to revive and mine.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Mandatory Wallet Update on: April 29, 2014, 02:17:46 PM
They're not shipping, so it's all moot.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Mandatory Wallet Update on: April 29, 2014, 03:33:00 AM
All that being said I'm still sitting on my coins until the asics come out and the gpu farms switch to scrypt-n, because there is a possibility of a revival in diff and hash power, increasing value. I also still believe

You mean when they hit bigger and more spread out than they are now? By the end of the year, scrypt-n asic will be the next best thing.

This coin, in its technical function, works well. It's working great right now. But nobody needs it because the business is dead.

I hate to be the one to break the news to you fellas, but bitcoin @ $1 is just as useful as bitcoin @ $400.

There's truth to this. There's no "reason" bitcoin has to be valued high, it's just up to what folks are willing to pay for it. Folks are just gambling that the long term value is high.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: April 28, 2014, 07:10:53 PM
yes rates fluctuate.
Due to the fact that they fluctuate, i would suggest you count losses in coins, and not fiat.

Trying to make things worse than they are is not helping anyone and you know it.

How is using one currency vs the other worse or better?

Nobody is denying anything. Its the context that is wrong.
If one loses fiat, he should count fiat, if one loses coins, he should count coins.

If btc crashed tomorrow, and its price went back to 2009 levels, 3000 coins would not be an issue.
Now that people see btc in the 400-500 usd, they like to talk of millions.

I;m simply pointing out the issue. Coins were lost, not fiat.

Coin price fluctuates, so if you keep talking about fiat, you talk of a million today, ten tomorrow, and maybe nothing in two days.

But if we talk about x coins lost, then the number IS ALWAYS PERSISTENT. Persistent, accurate and depicting the truth.

Fiat might sound awesome when talking about profit or losses, but it is not. Its just a way to throw some emotion into an otherwise baseless argument.

This point is true, and I agree with the methodology. I merely used USD for the reasons I said before.

I still stand behind my point, it was no small amount. Unfortunately.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 28, 2014, 06:14:07 PM
Well that sure escalated.

I remember back in the old days (1,200 pages ago), we looked forward to the gear.. and here we are today.

Haha.

I used USD because it's the standard for trading. Rubles is not.

There's nothing to get over, at least on my end.

Okaynow? Wink

Dude you need to chill, I'm not trying to make anything worse. I could care less what happens to CR, just reminding people that it wasn't a small amount that they owe.

Stop presuming upon intention. As objective as you try to stay, you always defend their actions. Sure makes me wonder what your gamble in this is.
